Mengisi daya baterai

Baterai baru sudah terisi tapi tidak penuh. Ikon baterai di sudut kanan atas menunjukkan tingkat status pengisian daya baterai.

Jika Anda tidak berniat untuk menggunakan telepon Anda selama beberapa hari, kami menyarankan agar Anda melepas baterainya.

Memasukkan kartu Micro-SD (Kartu memori)

Anda dapat memperbesar memori telepon Anda dengan menambahkan kartu micro-SD.

Sejajarkan kartu micro-SD Anda dengan tempatnya. Letakkan pada tempatnya.

Untuk melepas kartu micro-SD, tekan kartu tersebut dan tarik keluar.

Catatan:

Anda dapat menggunakan telepon ketika sedang diisi dayanya.

Membiarkan pengisi daya tetap tertancap ke telepon seluler ketika baterai sudah terisi penuh tidak akan merusak baterai. Satu-satunya cara untuk mematikan pengisi daya adalah dengan mencabut stekernya, sehingga sangat dianjurkan untuk menggunakan soket daya yang mudah diakses.

Menghubungkan ke PC Anda

Perangkat lunak komunikasi data (Mobile Phone Tools) menawarkan sinkronisasi instan di antara telepon dengan komputer Anda. Anda dapat menggunakan perangkat lunak tersebut untuk sinkronisasi data di antara telepon dengan PC Anda, seperti buku telepon, kalender, pesan SMS, dan file audio/video/gambar. Dengan perangkat lunak dan layanan GPRS, Anda juga dapat menghubungkan PC ke Internet melalui telepon Anda.

Menginstal MobilePhoneTools di PC Anda

Masukkan perangkat lunak komunikasi Data yang disertakan ke dalam drive CD.

Jalankan program autorun.exe.

Buat pilihan sebagaimana diminta, dan instalasi mulai secara otomatis.

Menghubungkan Telepon Anda ke PC.

Hubungkan telepon Anda ke PC dengan menggunakan kabel USB yang disediakan atau melalui Bluetooth.

Ketika menghubungkan kabel USB, pilih COM port di telepon Anda.

Pada PC Anda, klik dua kali ikon MobilePhoneTools, kemudian ikon yang terhubung ditampilkan.

Menyesuaikan telepon Anda

Menyesuaikan telepon Anda agar sesuai dengan preferensi Anda.

Mengatur jam

Pada layar home, pergi ke Menu > Pengaturan >

Umuml > Waktu dan tanggal.

Pilih Atur waktu/tanggal: Masukkan digitnya atau tekan dan tahan tombol navigasi sampai Anda mencapai digit yang Anda inginkan.

Jika Anda memasukkan kode PIN yang salah tiga kali berturut-turut, kartu SIM Anda akan diblokir. Untuk membuka pemblokiran, Anda harus meminta kode PUK dari operator Anda.

Jika Anda memasukkan kode PUK yang salah sepuluh kali berturut-turut, kartu SIM akan dikunci secara permanen. Ketika ini terjadi, silakan hubungi operator jaringan atau pengecer Anda.

Profil

Jika jaringan dapat dipakai, Anda dapat menangani dua panggilan atau lebih, atau membuat panggilan konferensi.

Selama panggilan, masukkan nomor telepon, dan kemudian tekan tersebut. Nomor kedua sedang dipanggil.

Untuk saat ini panggilan pertama akan

Anda dapat menggunakan menu Pesan untuk mengirim pesan teks, pesan multimedia dan E-mail.

Menerima E-mail

Pilih E-mail > Kirim dan Terima, Anda dapat menerima E-mail dari Internet.

Untuk menerima E-mail secara otomatis:

Pengaturan tingkat lanjut.

Dalam Pengaturan Account, pilih jangka waktu yang diinginkan. Kotak surat Anda akan diperiksa secara otomatis setiap jangka waktu tersebut.

Telepon seluler Anda mendukung beberapa metode entri teks, termasuk masukan T9, masukan bahasa Inggris, masukan numerik dan masukan simbol, dll.

Menambah kontak baru

Metode pertama:

Mencari kontak

Pergi ke Kontak.

Ada empat buku telepon di atas daftar: semua, telepon, SIM1 dan SIM2.

Pilih buku telepon yang diinginkan.

Masukkan beberapa huruf pertama dari nama tersebut dalam bilah pencarian. (Misalnya “John Henry” masukkan JH)

Pilih kontak dari daftar tersebut.

Mengelola kontak Anda

Anda dapat menyalin atau memindahkan kontak di antara kartu SIM dengan telepon, atau menghapus kontak. Pergi ke dikehendaki.

Jika Anda menggunakan al at pacu jantung:

Jagalah selalu telep on dalam jarak lebih dari 15 cm dari alat pacu jantung saat telepon diaktifkan, guna menghindari kemungkinan interferensi.

Cara memperpanjang masa pakai baterai telepon Anda

Agar telepon seluler Anda berfung si dengan baik, kecukupan daya baterai memiliki peran penting. Untuk tujuan menghemat daya, jika dapat diterapkan, lakukan langkah berikut:

Nonaktifkan fungsi Bluetooth telepon Anda.

•

Atur durasi dan tingkat lampu latar telepon Anda ke nilai yang rendah.

•

Aktifkan kunci bantalan tombol otomatis, nonakti fkan bunyi tombol, getar ketukan, atau peringatan getar.

•

Lakukan sambungan GPRS ketika diperlukan. Jika tidak, telepon Anda akan terus mencari sambungan GPRS, dan menguras daya baterai Anda.

•

Nonaktifkan telepon Anda jika tidak ada jaringan. Jika tidak, telepon Anda akan terus mencari jar ingan, dan menguras daya ba terai Anda.

Mengatasi Masalah

Telepon tidak dapat diaktifkan

Lepas/pasang kembali baterai. Lalu, isi daya telepon sampai ikon baterai berhenti bergulir. Lepas pen gisi daya baterai dan coba hidu pkan telepon seluler.

Tampilan menunjukkan DIBLOKIR ketika Anda mengaktifkan telepon

Seseorang mencoba menggunakan telepon Anda tapi tidak tahu kode PIN dan juga kode pembuka blokir (PUK). Hubungi penyedia layanan Anda.

Tampilan menunjukkan gagal IMSI

Masalah ini terkait dengan abonemen Anda. Hubungi operator Anda.

Telepon Anda tidak kembali ke layar home

Tekan dan tahan tombol putus pembicaraan atau nonaktifkan telepon, periksa apakah kartu SIM dan baterai terpasang den gan benar dan aktifkan lagi.

Simbol jaringan tidak ditampilkan

Koneksi jaringan tidak tersedia. Mungkin Anda berada di bayangan radio (dalam terowongan atau di antara gedung tinggi) atau di luar area jangkauan jaringan. Baterai Anda tampaknya mengalami panas ber lebih

Pengujian untuk SAR telah dilaku kan dengan menggunakan posisi operasi yang disarankan dengan te lepon seluler yang memancarkan sinyal pada tingkat daya tersertifikasi tertingginya di semua pita frekuensi yang diujikan. Walaupun SAR ditent ukan pada tingkat daya terse rtifikasi tertinggi, tingkat SAR aktual telepon seluler sewaktu bekerja umumnya di bawah nilai SAR maksimum. Hal ini karena t elepon dirancang untuk beroperasi pada tingkat daya be ragam sehingga menggunakan hanya daya yang diperlukan untuk menjangkau jaringan. Secara umum, semakin dekat Anda ke antena stasiun basis, semakin kecil keluaran dayanya. Walaupun ada perbedaan antara tingkat SAR beragam telepon dan pada beragam posisi, semuanya memenuhi standar perlindungan internasiona l bagi paparan terhadap gel ombang radio.

Apa yang Ditanggung oleh Garansi Terbatas Ini? Apa yang Akan Dilakukan Philips jika Produk Tidak Bebas dari Cacat

Bahan dan Pekerjaan Selama Masa Garansi Terbatas? Selama masa garansi terbatas, Philip s atau perwakilan servisnya yang sah akan, sesuai pilihan memperbaiki atau mengganti, tanpa biaya untuk suku cadang atau pekerja, Produk yang cacat secara material dengan suku cadang atau Produk yang baru atau hasil pemulihan dan mengembalikan Produk yang diperbaiki atau diganti itu kepada Konsumen dalam kondisi berfungsi. Philips akan menyimpan suku cadang, modul, atau peralatan yang cacat.

Produk yang diperbaiki a tau diganti akan ditanggung oleh garansi terb atas ini untuk sisa masa garansi terbatas semula atau sembilan puluh (90) hari dari tanggal perbaikan atau penggantian, tergantung mana yang lebih lama. Perbaikan atau penggantian Produk, atas tangg ungan Philips, adalah solusi eksklusif Anda.

e) Produk yang stiker garansi/mutu, nomor seri produk atau nomor seri elektroniknya telah dilepas, diubah, atau menjadi tak terbaca; atau

f) Produk yang dibeli, digunakan, diservis, atau dikirimkan untuk perbaikan dari luar negara tempat awal membeli, atau digunakan untuk tujuan komersial atau kelembagaan (yang mencakup namun tidak terbatas pada Produk yang digunakan untuk tujuan sewa); atau

g) Produk yang dikembalikan tanpa bukti pembelian yang sah atau yang bukti pembeliannya telah diubah atau tidak terbaca. h) Kerusakan normal yang diakibatkan karena sering digunakan atau Bencana Tak Terelakkan.

b) Kartu SIM harus dikeluarkan dari Produk sebelum diberikan ke Philips. Philips tidak bertanggung jawab atas kehilan gan atau kerusakan kartu SIM atau data di dalamnya. c) Jika kegagalan Produk tidak ditanggung oleh garansi terbatas ini, atau garansi terbatas ini tidak berlaku, batal, atau tidak sah karena persyaratan atau ketentuan apa pun yang d inyatakan di sini, Konsumen akan dikenai biaya untuk ongkos perbaika n atau penggantian Produk dan semua biaya lain yang terkait yang timbul dalam perbaikan atau penggantian Produk. d) PENTING - Anda diminta mengembalikan Produk bersama dengan bukti pembelian yang sah yang ha rus mencantumkan dengan jelas tempat pembelian, tanggal pembelian, m odel Produk, dan nomor seri Pro duk.

Charge the battery

A new battery is partially charged. The battery icon in the upper-right corner shows the battery level of charging status.

Note:

•

You can user the phone while it is charging.

•

Keeping the charger plugged to the mobile phone when the battery is fully charged will not damage the battery. The only way to turn off the charger is to unplug it, so it is advisable to use an easily accessible power socket.

•

If you do not intend to use your phone for several days, we recommend that you remove the battery.

Insert a Micro SD card (Memory card)

You can expand the memory of your phone by adding a micro-SD card.

Align your micro-SD card with the slot. Put it in place.

Connect to your PC

Data communication software (Mobile Phone Tools) offers instant sychronization between your phone and your computer. You can use the software for the data synchronization between your phone and PC, like phonebook, calendar, SMS messages, and audio/video/picture files. With the software and GPRS service, you can also connect your PC to the Internet through your phone.

Install MobilePhoneTools on your PC

Insert the supplied Data communication software into the CD drive.

Run the autorun.exe program.

Make selections as prompted, and installation starts automatically.

Connecting your Phone to the PC

Connect your phone to the PC using the supplied USB cable or through the Bluetooth.

When using the USB cable for connection, select COM port on your phone.

On your PC, double click the MobilePhoneTools icon, then the connected icon is displayed.

Customize your phone

Customize your phone to match your preferences.

Set clock

On the home screen, go to Menu>Settings>

General>Time and date.

If you enter an incorrect PUK code ten times in succession, the SIM card will be locked permanently. When this happens, please contact your network operator or retailer.

Profiles

The profiles are defined for several scenes. They consist of the settings for ringtone, volume, and others. With preset profiles, you can easily adjust the settings for incoming calls and messages as desired.

Go to Profiles, press ,Select to activate the

profile.

Press L to modify ringtone, volume and others. To activate

Meeting mode, long press # on

the home screen.

Note: If you select Flight mode, you disable the connection

between your phone and your mobile phone network.

Use basic call functions

Learn to make or answer a call and use basic call functions.

Make a call

Enter the phone number.

Press ( to dial the number.

Press ) to hang up.

Note: For international calls, long press 0 to enter the

"+" sign for the international prefix.

Answer and end a call

Press ( to answer the call (Press the side volume key to adjust the volume).

Press , to select handsfree mode.

Press ) to hang up.

Note: You can use the supplied headset to answer or end a

call.

Make a conference call

If network applicable, you can handle two or more calls, or make a conference call.

During a call, enter a phone number, and then press

( to dial the number. The second

number is dialled.

The first call is put on hold at this time.

You can press LOptions>Swap to toggle between 2 calls.

To end the call, select Options>End single or

End all.

Use speed dial

On the home screen, you can call a number by long pressing a numeric key.

To assign a contact to a speed-dial key:

Make an emergency call

Without a SIM card in phone, you can press R to make the emergency call.

In Europe, the standard emergency number is 112; in the UK, it is 999.

Receive and send messages

You can use the Messages menu to send text message, multimedia message and E-mails.

Send a SMS message

Select Menu>Messages> Create message>

SMS.

Write your text message.

Press , to send the message.

Send a MMS message

Select Menu>Messages> Create message>

MMS.

Edit contents, and press LOptions to add multimedia contents (photo, audio, video, attachment or bookmark text).

Enter a number or select a contact from phonebook.

Note: Copyright protected pictures and sound cannot be

sent by MMS.

Send an E-mail

Go to E-mail>E-mail accounts, select a profile,

Go to Write E-mail, enter the address (To), a

attachment.

Edit the E-mail contents.

Press R to send the E-mail.

Note: Consult your mail service provider for the mail

Receive E-mails

Select E-mail>Send and receive, you can receive E-mails from the Internet.

Manage your phonebook

Learn about basic phonebook function.

Add a new contact

Method one:

On the home screen, enter a number, select

Go to Contacts, use navigation key < or > to select a phonebook.

Go to Contacts.

There are four phonebooks above the list: all, phone, SIM1 and SIM2.

Manage your contacts

You can copy or move contacts between the SIM card and phone, or delete contacts. Go to

Set group: You can group your contacts as different groups.

For different groups, you can use different ringtones for identification, and send messages to a group.

Select Contacts > Options > Caller groups, enter a group.

You can save the important contacts as .udx files in your phone or memory card.

Your phone can connect to a compatible Bluetooth device for exchanging data.

Connect to a Bluetooth device

Go to Bluetooth>Power, turn on the Bluetooth function.

Select Find devices, a list of available Bluetooth devices appears.

Select the device you wish to connect.

Enter your Bluetooth password to start pairing (0000 by default).The pairing is made if your pairing request is accepted by the other part.

Send files via Bluetooth

Go to My files, select the file you want to send.

Press LOptions>Send>Via Bluetooth.

Select a device.

Press , to start sending the file.

Receive files via Bluetooth

Go to Bluetooth>Settings>Visibility, make your phone visible to other Bluetooth devices.

Enter the password and accept the request.

How to prolong the battery life of your phone

To have your mobile phone function properly, sufficient battery power is important. For the power-saving purpose, do the following, if applicable:

•

Turn off the Bluetooth function of your phone.

•

Set the backlight level and duration of your phone to a low value.

•

Turn on the auto keypad lock, turn off the key sounds, tap vibration, or vibration alerts.

•

Establish GPRS connection when needed. Otherwise, your phone will keep searching for GPRS connection, and drain your battery power.

•

Turn off your phone if there is no coverage. Otherwise, the phone will keep searching for network, and drain your battery power.

Troubleshooting

The phone does not switch on

Remove/reinstall the battery. Then charge the phone until the battery icon stops scrolling. Unplug the charger and try to switch the mobile on.

The display shows BLOCKED when you switch on the phone

Somebody tried to use your phone but didn’t know the PIN code nor the unblocking code (PUK). Contact your service provider.

The display shows IMSI failure

This problem is related to your subscription. Contac t your operator.

Your phone doesn’t return to home screen

Long press the hang-up key or switch off the phone, check that the SIM card and the battery are install ed correctly and switch it on agai n.

The network symbol is not displayed

The network connection is lost. Either you are in a radio shadow (in a tunnel or between tall buildings) or you are outside the network coverage area. Try from another place, try to reconnect to the network (especially when abroad), check that the antenna is in place if your mobile has an external antenna, or contact your network operator for assistance/information.

The display doesn’t respond (or the display responds slowly) to key pre sses

The display responds more slowly at very low temperatures. This is normal and does not affect the operation of the phone. Take the phone to a warmer place and t ry again. In other cases please contact your phone supplier.

Your battery seems to over heat

You might be using a charger that was not intended for use with your phone. Make sure you always use the Philips authentic accessory shipped with your phone.

Your phone doesn’t display the phone numbers of incoming calls

This feature is network and subscription dependent. If the network doesn’t send the caller’s number, the phone will display Call 1 or Withheld instead. Contact your operator for detailed information on this subject.

You can’t send text messages

Some networks don’t allow m essage exchanges with ot her networks. First check that you have entered the number of your SMS centre, or contact your operator for detailed information on this subject.

You can’t receive and/or store JPEG pictures

A picture may not be accepted by your mobile phone if it is too large, if its name is too long, or if it doesn’t have the correct file format.

You feel that you have missed some calls

Check your call divert options.

Only charge the battery in an environment where the temperature does not go below 0°C (32°F) or above 50°C (113°F).

A car contains many metallic parts that absorb electromagnetic waves which can affect the phone’s performance. A car kit is available to provide you with an external antenna and enables you to make and receive phone calls without handling the handset.

THIS MOBILE PHONE MEETS THE INTERNATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR EXPOSURE TO RADIO WAVES Your mobile phone is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed and manufactured not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy defined by the international standards. These recommendations have been established by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) and, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) that forecast a substantial safety margin for assuring the protection of all persons, regardless of age and health. Tests for SAR have been conducted using recommended operating positions with the mobile phone transmitting at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands. Optimizing your Philips Xenium battery performance

Here are some steps to help you optimize your Philips Xenium’s battery performance.

How to optimize the standby and talk time of your phone?

•

Always ensure that your phone profile is

appropriately set to meet your actual usage. Profile

setting significantly impacts the phone’s battery

performance. In general, Outdoor Mode is the most

power-draining setting while Silent Mode consumes

the least amount of power.

•

If you’re using a Xenium phone with a dual SIM

feature, try to activate the 2 SIM cards only when

absolutely necessary. If you are in a country with

single coverage, deactivate the non-covered SIM to

prolong battery usage.

•

If you’re not using applications like Bluetooth, WIFI,

GPS and JAVA, turn them off. And be sure to lock

your phone to prevent accidental pressing of the

keys with the auto-lock feature.

Adjust the intensity and duration of your display screen’s backlight to low or medium level and for the shortest duration. In general, the lower the backlight level and the shorter the duration, the more power you will save.

Avoid using or placing your phone near magnetic objects (eg. a radio or television) or on metal surfaces, which will impact the network connection and ultimately drain power from your battery.

How to extend your battery’s life?

Full charging and full running down of your battery will extend its life. Charge the battery once the lowbattery warning comes on.
