EN Your appliance has been designed to be
used with tap water. In case you live in an area with hard water, fast scale build-up may occur. Therefore, it is recommended to check the water hardness rst with the test strip provided.
Immerse all the squares on the test
strip in tap water for 1 second. Shake off excess water for 60 seconds. Check how many squares have changed color and refer to the following table for water recommendation. Do not consider color changes on a minor part of a square or colors that change after 3 minutes.

EN The light goes on when the steamer
is plugged in. It takes approximately 40 seconds for the steamer to heat up
sufciently and be ready for use. During rst use, press the steam trigger for
20 seconds. Water is pumped to the steamer head to be converted into steam.

EN GC430 only: To maintain optimal steam
performance, it is important to remove scales and impurities inside the appliance regularly. Therefore, it is recommended to perform the Auto-clean function once every two weeks.
Fill the water tank fully with water.
Press and hold the Auto-clean button for 1 second to activate the process. Never immerse the steamer head in water.

EN Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning
agents or aggressive liquids such as alcohol, petrol, or acetone to clean the appliance. Clean the appliance and wipe any deposits off the steamer head with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive liquid cleaning agent.

The steamer does not produce any steam.
The steamer has not heated
up sufciently.
You have not pressed the steam trigger fully.

The steamer may produce some steam at the start of the Auto-clean process, especially if the steamer head it still hot from the previous steaming session.
The steamer may produce some steam at the end of the Auto-clean process. This happens because the steamer evaporates the remaining water to prevent water from spitting out at the start of the next steaming session.
Let the steamer heat up for approximately 40 seconds before you use it.
Avoid pressing the auto-clean button during steaming.
This is normal.
Close the cap of the lling/emptying
opening properly.
Check if the mains plug is inserted properly in the wall socket and if the wall socket is working properly.
Fill the water tank fully with water rst
before you use the Auto-clean function.
Press and hold the auto-clean button for 1 second to activate the process. When the process is activated properly, you will see the auto-clean light blinking on the left side of the button.
