Step-by-step installation
1 Go to part "B" of this Quick Install Guide only if your computer does not yet have a drive for starting CD 1.
2 Place CD 1 in your computer's drive. It should start automatically.
If not, double-click "My Computer", double-click the "Philips_RW" drive icon and double-click "Setup.exe" to start CD 1.
3 After the installation program on CD 1 has started, follow its on-screen directions for installing your new Philips drive.
Apple MacOS users: Please consult the readme file in the root folder.

Only use these drive connection instructions if your computer does not yet have a drive for starting CD 1.
1 Download the driver software from the Internet at www.pcstuff.philips.com/downloads/products/IW_Ext_Update.exe.
There you will find a driver file and a help file. Please consult this help file for further instructions.
2 Take the cable for the interface you have chosen to use and plug it into the appropriate connector on the drive.
3 Plug the other end of the cable into the appropriate connector on your PC. Always consult your computer manual for assistance.
4 Plug the small power plug into the drive.
5 Plug the mains adapter into the mains socket and, if applicable, use the on/off button to switch on the drive. Then complete the 'Add/Found New Hardware Wizard' dialog and
refer to the location to which you downloaded the driver file when asked for the location of any driver files.
6 Go to part "A" of this Quick Install Guide and start CD 1 in your new external drive to be able to verify your installation and to install application software.

Installation in einzelnen Schritten
1 Gehen Sie nur zu Teil "B" dieser Schnellinstallationsanleitung, wenn Ihr Computer noch kein Laufwerk zum Starten von CD 1 hat.
2 Legen Sie CD 1 in das Laufwerk Ihres Computers ein. Sie sollte automatisch gestartet werden.
Ist das nicht der Fall, klicken Sie "Arbeitsplatz" ["My Computer"] und dann das Laufwerkssymbol "Philips_RW" doppelt an, klicken Sie danach zum Starten von CD 1
"Setup.exe" doppelt an.
3 Nach dem Start des Installationsprogramms von CD 1 beachten Sie die auf dem Bildschirm erscheinenden Anweisungen zum Installieren Ihres neuen Philips-Laufwerks.
Benutzer von Apple MacOS: Lesen Sie bitte die Readme-Datei in dem Hauptordner.,5

Verwenden Sie diese Anweisungen zum Anschluß des Laufwerks nur, wenn Ihr Computer noch kein Laufwerk zum Starten von
CD 1 hat.
1 Laden Sie die Treibersoftware bei www.pcstuff.philips.com/downloads/products/IW_Ext_Update.exe dem Internet herunter.
Dort finden Sie eine Treiberdatei und eine Hilfedatei. Weitere Anleitungen finden Sie in dieser Hilfedatei.
2 Stecken Sie das Kabel der von Ihnen gewählten Schnittstelle in den entsprechenden Anschluß an dem Laufwerk ein.
3 Stecken Sie das andere Ende des Kabels in den entsprechenden Anschluß an Ihrem PC ein. Schlagen Sie für Hilfe immer in Ihrem Computerhandbuch nach.
4 Stecken Sie den kleinen Netzstecker in das Laufwerk ein.
5 Stecken Sie den Netzadapter in die Netzsteckdose ein und schalten Sie das Laufwerk gegebenenfalls mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter des Laufwerks ein. Füllen Sie dann das
Dialogfeld 'Hardware-Assistent' aus und und geben Sie bei der entsprechenden Eingabeaufforderung das Verzeichnis, in das Sie die Treiberdatei heruntergeladen haben, an.
6 Gehen Sie zu Teil "A" dieser Schnellinstallationsanleitung und starten Sie CD 1 in Ihrem neuen externen Laufwerk, damit Sie Ihre Installation überprüfen und die
Anwendungssoftware installieren können.

Procédure d’installation
1 Si votre ordinateur ne dispose pas encore de lecteur permettant de lancer le programme d'installation du disque CD 1, reportez-vous à la section B de ce Guide d'installation
rapide. Si vous possédez déjà un lecteur fonctionnel, suivez simplement les instructions ci-dessous.
2 Insérez le disque CD 1 dans le lecteur de votre ordinateur. Le disque devrait démarrer automatiquement.
Si ce n’est pas le cas, double-cliquez sur Poste de travail, double-cliquez sur l’icône Philips_RW et double-cliquez sur Setup.exe pour lancer l'installation.
3 Une fois le programme d'installation du disque CD 1 lancé, suivez les instructions affichées à l'écran pour installer votre nouveau graveur Philips.
Utilisateurs d'Apple MacOS: consultez le fichier Lisezmoi (Readme) situé dans le dossier racine

Ces instructions de connexion du graveur ne doivent être suivies que si votre ordinateur ne dispose pas encore de lecteur pour lire le disque CD 1.
1 Téléchargez le logiciel pilote de l'internet, à la page www.pcstuff.philips.com/downloads/products/IW_Ext_Update.exe.
Vous y trouverez un fichier pilote et un fichier d'aide. Pour installer le pilote, reportez-vous à ce fichier d'aide.
2 Raccordez le câble de l’interface que vous avez choisi d'utiliser au connecteur approprié sur le graveur.
3 Raccordez l’autre bout du câble au connecteur approprié de l’ordinateur. Pour obtenir de l’aide, consultez le manuel de votre ordinateur.
4 Branchez la petite fiche du câble d’alimentation sur la prise du graveur.
5 Branchez la fiche secteur sur la prise de courant et, si nécessaire, allumez le graveur en actionnant l’interrupteur marche-arrêt. Ensuite, suivez les instructions de l'assistant
d'ajout et de détection d'un nouveau matériel en indiquant notamment, lorsque l'assistant vous y invite, l'endroit où vous avez enregistré le fichier pilote que vous avez
téléchargé.
6 Continuez à la section A de ce Guide d'installation rapide et lancez le disque CD 1 dans le nouveau graveur afin de vérifier l'installation et installer les applications fournies.

1 Scaricare il driver dal sito Internet www.pcstuff.philips.com/downloads/products/IW_Ext_Update.exe.
Troverete un file driver e un file di guida. Consultare il file di guida per ulteriori istruzioni.
2 Prendere il cavo per l’interfaccia che si è scelto di utilizzare e inserirlo nel connettore appropriato nel drive.
3 Inserire l’altra estremità del cavo nel connettore appropriato sul PC. Consultare sempre il manuale del computer per assistenza.
4 Inserire lo spinotto di alimentazione nel drive.
5 Inserire l’adattatore di alimentazione nella presa di corrente e, all’occorrenza, utilizzare il pulsante on/off per accendere il drive. Quindi, completare la finestra di dialogo
'Installazione guidata nuovo Hardware' e fare riferimento al luogo in cui si è precedentemente scaricato il driver dopo la richiesta del software.
6 Andare alla parte "A" di questa Guida rapida all’installazione e avviare CD 1 nel nuovo drive esterno per verificare l’avvenuta installazione e installare il software di
applicazione.

De installatie stap voor stap uitgelegd
1 Ga alleen naar deel "B" van deze installatiehandleiding als uw computer nog niet over een station beschikt om CD 1 in te starten.
2 Leg CD 1 in het station van uw computer. De cd start vanzelf.
Start de cd niet vanzelf, dubbelklik dan achtereenvolgens op de pictogrammen "Deze computer", "Philips_RW" en "Setup.exe" om CD 1 te starten.
3 Installeer het station aan de hand van de aanwijzingen van het installatieprogramma.
Voor Apple MacOS geldt: Lees het ReadMe-bestand in de hoofdmap van de cd.

Installeer alleen op de volgende wijze als uw computer nog geen station heeft om CD 1 in te doen.
1 Download eerst het benodigde stuurprogramma via internet www.pcstuff.philips.com/downloads/products/IW_Ext_Update.exe.
Op deze locatie vindt u een stuurprogramma en een help-bestand. Het help-bestand beschrijft hoe u het stuurprogramma installeert.
2 Pak de kabel voor het type aansluiting dat u wilt gebruiken en steek de stekker in de bijbehorende aansluiting van het station.
3 Steek het andere uiteinde van de kabel in de bijpassende aansluiting van uw pc. Raadpleeg uw computerhandleiding voor meer informatie.
4 Sluit de kleine stekker van de netvoeding aan op het station.
5 Duw de stekker van de adapter in het stopcontact en, indien van toepassing, schakel het station in met behulp van de aan/uit-knop. Vul daarna de 'Wizard Nieuwe hardware'
in en verwijs naar de locatie van het stuurprogramma-bestand als u daarom wordt gevraagd.
6 Voer de aanwijzingen van deel "A" uit en start CD 1 in uw nieuwe externe station om te controleren of de installatie correct is verlopen, en om de toepassingsprogramma's te
installeren.

Instalación paso a paso
1 Vaya a la parte "B" de esta Guía Rápida de Instalación solamente si su ordenador no tiene aún una unidad instalada para iniciar el CD 1.
2 Coloque un CD 1 en la unidad de su ordenador. Debe iniciarse de forma automática.
Si no ocurre así, haga doble clic en "Mi PC", doble clic en el icono de la unidad "Philips_RW" y doble clic en "Setup.exe" para iniciar el CD 1.
3 Una vez iniciado el programa de instalación del CD 1, siga las instrucciones indicadas en pantalla para instalar su nueva unidad Philips.
Usuarios de Apple MacOS: por favor consulte el archivo readme en la carpeta raíz.

Utilice estas instrucciones de conexión de la unidad solamente si su ordenador no tiene aún instalada una unidad para iniciar el CD 1.
1 Descargue el software del controlador desde Internet en www.pcstuff.philips.com/downloads/products/IW_Ext_Update.exe.
Allí encontrará un archivo de controlador y uno de ayuda. Por favor consulte este archivo de ayuda para obtener instrucciones adicionales.
2 Coja el cable de la interfaz que haya elegido utilizar y enchúfelo en el conector correspondiente de la unidad.
3 Enchufe el otro extremo del cable en el conector correspondiente de su PC. Consulte siempre el manual de su ordenador para obtener ayuda.
4 Enchufe el conector de alimentación pequeño en la unidad.
5 Enchufe el adaptador de red en una toma de corriente eléctrica y, si procede, utilice el botón de encendido / apagado de la unidad para encenderla. A continuación, complete
el diálogo 'Asistente para agregar nuevo hardware encontrado' y haga referencia a la ubicación donde descargó el archivo del controlador cuando se le pregunte la ubicación
de los archivos del controlador.
6 Vaya a la parte "A" de esta Guía Rápida de Instalación e inicie el CD 1 en su nueva unidad externa para poder verificar la instalación e instalar el software de aplicación.
