15X FORWARD/REVERSE LATCHING SEARCH Search
in Forward or Reverse mode at 15 times normal playing
speed in SLP, and 5 times normal in SP. The Latching Search
feature provides continuous forward or reverse search with
a single touch of the control. A second touch stops the
search operation and returns the unit to the Play mode.
SKIP SEARCH This feature allows short-distance “hops”
in the Playback mode making it easier to find those elusive
previously recorded scenes. With just one touch of the
FRAME ADVANCE button on the remote you can fast
forward the tape for 30 seconds and then return to the
Play mode automatically.
UNIFIED MULTIFUNCTION INFRARED REMOTE
Controls all operating features and functions of both TV
and VCR sections of this Combi with armchair
convenience– including all special features, random channel

AUTO HEAD CLEANER Gently and
automatically cleans the video heads each time a tape
is inserted or removed to maintain optimum picture
performance during both recording and playback.
SMARTCLOCK™ Once activated, this menu-
driven feature will automatically maintain the
correct time, regularly checking and updating the
time if necessary. This function will also reset the
clock after a power failure.The menu-driven time
zone feature allows selection of appropriate time
for those who live in a time zone other than that
of their CATV service provider.
CLOSED CAPTION Activated through a special
on-screen menu, the closed caption feature allows
the hearing impaired to read dialogue and narratives
(on Closed Caption telecasts) without the use of an
optional, external decoding device. Program dialogue
and narrative material is printed at the bottom of the
screen. Excellent for development of language skills
and private viewing without disturbing others as well.
AUTOMATIC CHANNEL SETUP Activating this
feature allows the VCR tuner to scan through
television frequencies, automatically storing active
broadcast channels into memory.Then, only active
channels programmed into memory are tuned, using
the channel up/down buttons on either the remote
or front panel of the VCR. Automatic channel preset
can be repeated whenever desired, should new
channels become available. Channels can be manually
added or deleted.
FRONT PANEL AUDIO/VIDEO INPUTS Enjoy the
added convenience of recording tapes directly from a
camcorder to the VCR portion with a full color
monitor built in. And as a bonus, accessory video
equipment such as a video game, DVD player, or web
browser can be connected for direct playthrough to
the TV section.
181-CHANNEL FS TUNING The digital quartz
tuner is capable of receiving up to 181 channels,
including UHF, VHF, and 113 cable channels, without
the inconvenience and expense of a cable company
decoder/converter (on non-scrambled cable systems).
Channel tuning is by random access with the remote
control transmitter or scan tuning up and down by
remote or at the set.

TAPE POSITION INDICATOR No more guessing!
This menu-driven, on-screen display provides a visual
indication of tape remaining in the cassette in any mode.
SLEEP TIMER This set will automatically shut off at
a preset time of up to 120 minutes from the time the
feature is activated. Sleep timer settings are
programmed in 15-minute increments.
A-B REPEAT PLAY Now you can play a single
segment of any videotape over and over again with
A-B Repeat. Using the on-screen menu, simply
program the start and stop positions of whatever
segment you want to repeat, regardless of length (as
long as it is no less than three minutes). Great for selfhelp videos, training tapes, and instructional material.
REPEAT PLAY When the Combi recognizes no
recorded signal or reaches the end of a tape with the
Repeat Play control activated, it will automatically
rewind to the beginning and enter the Play mode again.
Repeat Play can be discontinued by touching the button
a second time or by changing operation mode.

stereo sound system built into this combination TV/VCR incorporates an MTS/SAP
decoder which permits reception and
reproduction of broadcast stereo television
programs, as well as Second Audio Program
transmissions (where available).
ONE-TOUCH RECORD Record up to eight
hours or to the end of the tape with the touch
of a single button. Each touch of the OTR button
adds 30 minutes of additional recording time.
