IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electric product, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
Read all instructions before using this product.

To reduce the risk of electric shock:
- Do not reach for a corded product that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
- Use the product only in dry condition. Do not use the product while bathing or in a shower.

- Never operate this product if it has a damaged cord or charging plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water while plugged in. For assistance call 1-800-243-3050.
- Keep the product, cord, charging plug and any attachments away from heated surfaces.
- Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
- Do not use the adapter in or near a power outlet that contains an electric air freshener to prevent damage to the adapter.
- Do not operate, charge, clean or plug in product outdoors where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
- Always check cutters, cutting unit and combs before using the product. Do not use the product if cutters, cutting unit or combs are damaged, as injury may occur.
- Always attach plug to product rst, then to outlet. To disconnect, turn on/o switch to „OFF“ position, then remove plug from outlet.
- To prevent possible damage to the cord, do not wrap cord around the product.
- Never put the product in direct sunlight or store at a temperature above 140°F (60°C).
- Never immerse the product in water or rinse under the tap.
- This product is for use on human hair (beard, moustache and sideburns) only. Do not use the product for any other purpose.
- Always store the product, attachments and power plug in a moisture-free area. Make sure the cord is disconnected from the product.
- Do not attempt to open the product to remove/replace the battery.
- Only use the power plug supplied with the product.

Battery status indications
- When the battery is almost empty, the battery charge indicator ashes orange (Fig. 2).
- When the product is charging, the battery charge indicator ashes white (Fig. 3).
- When the battery is fully charged, the battery charge indicator lights up white continuously (Fig. 4).
Note: The lights switch o automatically after 30 minutes.
Hair length indications
The selected hair length setting will light up on the front of the handle when you select the desired length setting with the zoom wheel (Fig. 5).
Charging
Charging takes approx. 1 hour. Charge the product before you use it for the rst time and when the display indicates that the battery is almost empty.
- Charging, recharging, or using the product at temperatures below 40°F (4,5°C) or higher than 95°F (35°C) adversely aects lifespan of the battery.
- If the product is subjected to a major change in temperature, pressure or humidity, let the product acclimatize for 30 minutes before using.

3 After charging, remove the power plug
from the wall outlet and pull the small plug out of the product.
When the product is fully charged, it has a cordless operating time of up to 80 minutes.
Note: An adapter plug may be necessary for cord usage in some foreign countries. Use an attachment plug adapter of the proper conguration for power outlet.
Using the product
Always check the product before you use it. Do not use the product if it is damaged, as this may cause injury. Always replace a damaged part with one of the original type.
Note: This product can be used without cord or directly from the power outlet.
Note: Switch o and clean the product after each use.
- Use this product for its intended household use as described in this manual.
- For hygienic reasons, the product should only be used by one person.
- Trimming is easier when the skin and hair are dry.
Switching the product on and o
Press the on/o button once to switch the product on or o (Fig. 7).
Trimming with comb
Note: When you trim for the rst time, start at the highest length setting to familiarize yourself with the product.
- You can use the beard and stubble comb attached to the cutting element to groom your beard and moustache in your preferred style. For the beard and stubble comb, you can turn the zoom wheel to choose from 20 length settings ranging from 0.5mm to 10mm/1/32in to 13/32in in steps of 0.5mm/1/32in (Fig. 5).
- You can use the precision trimmer with a detail comb attached for precision trimming of your sideburns, moustache or beard (Fig. 17).
Note: Switch o and clean the product after each use.

2 Switch on the product. 3 To trim most eectively, move the
product against the hair growth direction (Fig. 9). Make sure that the surface of the comb always stays in contact with the skin.
Trimming without comb
- You can use the product without beard and stubble comb to trim hair close to the skin or to contour the neckline and sideburns. To trim hair close to the skin, place the at side of the trimming head against your skin and make strokes in the desired direction (Fig. 11).
- For contouring hold the trimming head perpendicular to the skin and move the trimming head upwards or downwards with gentle pressure (Fig. 12).
