Charging

Note: Charge the appliance fully before you use it for the first time.

Note: This appliance can only be used without cord.

To charge the appliance, insert the small plug into the socket in the bottom of the appliance and put the adapter in the wall socket.

-The charge indicator flashes white (Fig. 2): the appliance is charging. Charging takes up to 1 hour.

-The charge indicator lights up white continu­ ously (Fig. 3): the appliance is fully charged and has a cordless operating time up to 60 minutes.

-The charge indicator does not light up when the appliance is switched on: the appliance con­ tains enough energy to be used.

-The charge indicator flashes orange (Fig. 2): the battery is almost empty and needs to be charged.

Note: If the appliance is fully charged but still con­ nected to the mains, the charge indicator flashes a few times when you press the on/off button. This indicates that you should disconnect the appliance from the mains before you can switch it on.

Quick charge

-When the battery is completely empty and you start charging it, the charge indicator flashes white quickly.

-After approximately 5 minutes, the charge indi­ cator starts flashing white slowly. At this point, the battery contains enough energy to finish your shave.

Using the appliance

Switching the appliance on and off

1To switch on the appliance, press the on/off button once (Fig. 4).

2To switch off the appliance, press the on/off button once more.

Attaching and detaching heads

1To attach a head, press it onto the handle ('click') (Fig. 5).

2To detach a head, press the release button on the back of the appliance (Fig. 6).

Attaching and detaching accessories

1To attach an accessory, simply snap it onto the head ('click') (Fig. 7).

2To detach an accessory, grab its front and back and pull it upwards off the head (Fig. 8). To detach a comb, pull its back upwards with a fin­ gernail (Fig. 9).

Shaving and trimming

The appliance is suitable for use in the bath or shower, but you can also use it dry. If you want to use creams or body lotion, apply them after you have used the appliance.

Note: The appliance can only be used without cord.

Note: When you use the appliance to trim hairs, use it dry for the best result.

1Place the appliance on your skin in such a way that the attachment or accessory is in full con­ tact with the skin (Fig. 10).

2When you use the appliance on sensitive areas, stretch the skin with your free hand. When you use the appliance on your underarms, raise your arm and put your hand on the back of your head to stretch the skin (Fig. 11).

3Move the appliance slowly against the direction of hair growth (Fig. 12).

Note: If you move the appliance over your skin too fast, you may not obtain a smooth result.

Shaving head

You can use the shaving head to shave your legs and body.

Note: Always check the foils before use. If they are damaged in any way, replace them right away (see 'Replacement').

Skin stretcher cap

You can attach the skin stretcher cap onto the shaving head to make the hairs stand upright dur­ ing shaving. This makes it easier to remove them.

Bikini trimmer head (BRL180, BRL170 only)

You can use the bikini trimmer head to trim hard- to-reach areas in the bikini zone.

Place the bikini trimmer head flat onto the skin to trim (Fig. 13). Place the bikini trimmer head perpen­ dicularly onto the skin for styling and shaping (Fig. 14).

Bikini trimmer comb (BRL180, BRL170 only)

You can attach the bikini trimmer comb onto the bikini trimmer head to trim hairs in the bikini area to a length of 3mm (Fig. 15).

Small shaving head (BRL180 only)

You can use the small shaving head for precision shaving of small areas of your body.

If the hairs in the area to be shaved are longer than 3mm, first pretrim them with the bikini trimmer head.

Place the small shaving head flat onto the skin (Fig. 16).

Cleaning and storage

Keep the adapter dry.

1Switch off the appliance.

2Use the cleaning brush to brush away any hairs that have collected under the trimmer of the shaving head.

3Push the foil holder release slide on the back of the shaving head to the right to remove the foil holder (Fig. 17).

4Clean all parts of the shaving head with the cleaning brush, except the foils.

5BRL180 only: To clean the small shaving head, hold the sides of the top part and pull it off the bottom part (Fig. 18). Brush the inside of the top part and the cutter of the bottom part with the cleaning brush (Fig. 19) and then rinse both parts.

6Rinse the foil holder, heads and accessories under the tap. Shake them firmly to remove water drops.

7Let all parts dry completely.

8Place the foil holder back onto the shaving head ('click').

9Put protection/travel caps or combs on the heads to prevent damage to the heads when you store them.

10Store the appliance, its heads and accessories in the pouch.

Note: Lubricate trimmer teeth and foils with a drop of sewing machine oil every six weeks for optimal performance.

For optimal performance, we advise you to replace the foils and cutters of the shaving head every two years. If you use the shaving head twice or more times a week, replace the cutting unit more often. Always replace the foils and cutters with an original set (BRL385).

Charge

Remarque : Rechargez complètement l'appareil avant la première utilisation.

Remarque : Cet appareil est uniquement conçu pour une utilisation sans fil.

Pour charger l'appareil, Insérez la petite fiche dans la prise en dessous de l'appareil et branchez l'adaptateur sur la prise secteur.

-Le voyant de charge clignote blanc (Fig. 2) : l'appareil est en charge. La charge dure jusqu'à 1 heure.

-Le voyant de charge reste allumé en blanc (Fig. 3) : l'appareil est complètement chargé et a une autonomie de 60 minutes environ.

-Le voyant de charge ne s'allume pas lorsque l'appareil est allumé : celui-ci est suffisamment chargé pour être utilisé.

-Le voyant de charge clignote orange (Fig. 2) : la batterie est presque vide et doit être chargée.

Remarque : Si l'appareil est complètement chargé mais reste branché sur le secteur, le témoin de ni­ veau de charge clignote quelques fois lorsque vous appuyez sur le bouton de marche/arrêt. Cela signifie que vous devez débrancher l'appareil du secteur avant de l'allumer.

Charge rapide

-Lorsque la batterie est complètement vide et que vous commencez à la charger, le témoin de charge clignote en blanc rapidement.

-Après environ 5 minutes, le témoin de charge commence à clignoter lentement en blanc. La batterie contient alors suffisamment d'énergie pour vous permettre de terminer votre rasage.

Utilisation de l'appareil

Mise sous et hors tension de l'appareil

1Pour allumer l'appareil, appuyez une fois (Fig. 4) sur le bouton marche/arrêt.

2Pour éteindre l'appareil, appuyez sur le bouton marche/arrêt une autre fois.

Fixation et retrait des têtes

1Pour fixer une tête, poussez-la sur la poignée (clic) (Fig. 5).

2Pour retirer une tête, appuyez sur le bouton à l'arrière de l'appareil (Fig. 6).

Fixation et retrait des accessoires

1Pour fixer un accessoire, enclenchez-le simple­ ment sur la tête (clic) (Fig. 7).

2Pour retirer un accessoire, prenez-le par l'avant et l'arrière et soulevez-le pour l'enlever de la tête (Fig. 8). Pour retirer un sabot, soulevez-le avec un ongle (Fig. 9).

Rasage et tonte

L'appareil convient à une utilisation sous la douche ou dans la baignoire, mais vous pouvez également l'utiliser au sec. Si vous souhaitez appliquer des crèmes ou de la lotion pour le corps, faites-le après avoir utilisé l'appareil.

Remarque : L'appareil est uniquement prévu pour une utilisation sans fil.

Remarque : Lorsque vous utilisez l'appareil pour tondre les poils, utilisez-le au sec pour un résultat optimal.

1Placez l'appareil sur votre peau de sorte que l'élément ou l'accessoire fixés soient totalement en contact avec la peau (Fig. 10).

2Lorsque vous utilisez l'appareil sur des zones sensibles, tirez la peau à l'aide de votre main libre. Lorsque vous utilisez l'appareil sur vos aisselles, levez votre bras et posez votre main à l'arrière de votre tête pour tendre la peau (Fig. 11).

3Déplacez lentement l'appareil dans le sens in­ verse de la pousse des poils (Fig. 12).

Remarque : Si vous déplacez l'appareil trop rapi­ dement sur votre peau, les résultats ne seront pas optimaux.

Tête de rasage

Vous pouvez utiliser la tête de rasage pour vous raser les jambes et le corps.

Remarque : Vérifiez toujours les grilles avant de les utiliser. Si elles sont endommagées d'une quel­ conque manière, remplacez-les immédiatement (voir le chapitre « Remplacement »)

Capot permettant de tendre la peau

Vous pouvez fixer le capuchon pour tendre la peau sur la tête de rasage pour redresser les poils lorsque vous vous rasez. Dans ce cas, ils seront plus faciles à éliminer.

Tête de tondeuse bikini (BRL180, BRL170 uniquement)

Vous pouvez utiliser la tête de la tondeuse bikini pour tondre les zones difficiles d'accès dans la zone du bikini.

Placez la tête de la tondeuse bikini à plat sur la tondeuse (Fig. 13). Placez la tête de la tondeuse bi­ kini perpendiculairement sur la peau pour donner un style et une forme (Fig. 14).

Peigne de tondeuse bikini (BRL180, BRL170 uniquement)

Vous pouvez fixer le peigne de la tondeuse bikini sur la tête de celle-ci pour tondre les poils dans la zone du bikini à une longueur de 3 mm (Fig. 15).

Petite tête de rasage (BRL180 unique­ ment)

Vous pouvez utiliser la petite tête de rasage pour un rasage de précision des petites zones de votre corps.

Si la longueur des poils dans la zone à raser dé­ passe 3 mm, veillez d'abord à les tondre une pre­ mière fois avec la tête de la tondeuse bikini. Placez la petite tête de la tondeuse bikini à plat sur la peau (Fig. 16).

Nettoyage et rangement

Gardez l'adaptateur au sec.

1Éteignez l'appareil.

2Utilisez la brosse de nettoyage pour vous dé­ barrasser des poils qui se sont accumulés sous la tondeuse de la tête de rasage.

3Appuyez sur le bouton de déverrouillage du support de grille à l'arrière de la tête de rasage vers la droite pour retirer le support de grille (Fig. 17).
