pro styler ionic est équipé d’un cylindre rotatif exclusif qui adoucit la
fibre capillaire en tournant, pour un résultat de coiffage lisse et soyeux.
Vous pouvez activer la fonction rotative grâce à l’interrupteur situé sur
le haut de l’appareil. Sélectionnez le sens de rotation en faisant glisser
l’interrupteur en direction de la pointe des cheveux. Cette fonction
rotative s’activera au moment où vous serrerez les plaques et le cylindre
rotatif fonctionnera uniquement quand les plaques seront fermées.
La position centrale de l’interrupteur désactive la fonction rotative.

Les peignes démêlants amovibles servent à guider les mèches pour
un coiffage plus uniforme.

UTILISATION

Avant d’utiliser pro styler ionic …

• Séchez au sèche-cheveux vos cheveux préalablement lavés et
démêlez-les avec un peigne à grosses dents.

• Branchez pro styler ionic de BaByliss et appuyez sur le bouton «I/O».

Le témoin lumineux rouge s’allume: après un temps de chauffe très
court, votre pro styler ionic est prêt à l’emploi; la LED rouge reste
allumée pendant toute la durée d’utilisation.

Attention! Au cours de chaque coiffage, une légère émanation de fumée
est possible. Ceci peut être dû à de l’évaporation de sébum ou d’un reste
de produits capillaires (soin sans rinçage, laque, ...) ou de l’humidité
contenue dans le cheveu.
Vous constaterez aussi un très léger grésillement de l’appareil, il s’agit du
bruit caractéristique du générateur haut débit d’ions.

• Sélectionnez la température désirée grâce au sélecteur de

températures. De manière générale, il est recommandé de choisir
une température plus basse pour des cheveux fins, décolorés
et/ou sensibilisés, et une température élevée pour des cheveux
frisés, épais et/ou difficiles à coiffer. Chaque type de cheveux étant
différent, nous vous recommandons d’utiliser la position 1 lors de

la première utilisation. Lors des utilisations suivantes, vous pourrez

augmenter progressivement le réglage si besoin. Voir le tableau ci­dessous à titre indicatif :

Pour lisser vos cheveux (1)

• Prenez une mèche d’environ 3-4 cm de large et placez-la entre les

plaques près de la racine des cheveux.

• Maintenez la mèche serrée et faites glisser l’appareil lentement des
racines vers les pointes. Répétez l’opération si nécessaire.

• Pour un lissage par fait tombant à la verticale, séparez des mèches de
cheveux plus nes et lissez-les lentement.

• Pour un « lissage volume », séparez des mèches de cheveux plus
épaisses et lissez-les plus rapidement.

• Coiez les cheveux pour la touche nale. Fixez le lissage à l’aide d’un
léger voile de laque, mais surtout, ne brossez pas vos cheveux.

Pour structurer les pointes (2) et (3)

pro styler ionic peut également être utilisé pour mettre l’accent sur
les pointes…

• Pour mettre en forme les cheveux en rentrant les pointes vers
l’intérieur (2), utilisez comme décrit ci-dessus et tournez l’appareil

vers l’intérieur, cylindre rotatif sous la mèche.

• Pour faire rebiquer les pointes vers l’extérieur (3), eectuez le même

mouvement dans l’autre sens, cylindre rotatif au-dessus de la mèche.

• Après utilisation, appuyez sur le bouton «I/O» et débranchez

l’appareil.

Pour créer du volume à la racine (4)

• Séparez une mèche de cheveux d’environ 3-4 cm de large, placez­la entre les plaques qui doivent être perpendiculaires au crâne,

cylindre rotatif sous la mèche.

• Fermez l’appareil et enroulez la mèche d’un quart de tour, maintenez

1-2 secondes, faites ensuite glisser l’appareil lentement des racines
vers les pointes.

• Utilisez l’appareil uniquement à la racine et si vous voulez répéter le
geste sur la même mèche pour intensier l’eet, attendez que celle-

ci soit refroidie.

• En n de coiage des racines, peignez vos cheveux à l’aide d’un

peigne à larges dents afin d’uniformiser les vagues générant le
volume.

Pour boucler vos cheveux (5)

• Sélectionnez une mèche d’environ 3-4 cm de large et serrez-la,

cylindre rotatif sous la mèche.

• En maintenant l’appareil fermé, faites-le tourner de 180° vers le haut,

de manière à ce que la fenêtre du cylindre rotatif soit visible sur le
dessus de la mèche.

• Tirez ensuite doucement jusqu’à la pointe, relâchez la mèche, vous
obtenez une superbe boucle.

ENTRETIEN

• Laisser l’appareil refroidir complètement.

• Le cylindre rotatif peut être retiré de l’appareil. Tourner le loquet d’un

quart de tour dans le sens anti-horaire et le tirer vers l’extérieur.

• Nettoyer la plaque et le cylindre à l’aide d’un chion humide et
doux, sans détergent, an de préserver leur qualité optimale. Ne pas

gratter la plaque et le cylindre.

• Replacer le c ylindre dans l’appareil en le tenant à la verticale et en

glissant les ergots dans les logements prévus. Tourner le loquet d’un

quart de tour en sens horaire, jusqu’au clic.

The pro styler ionic has an exclusive rotating barrel that softens the
fibre of your ha ir when turning, cr eating a smooth and sil ky style. Th e
rotating fun ction can be activate d using the switch located on t op of
the unit. Sel ect the direction of rotation by sliding the switch toward
the end of you r hair. The rotating fu nction will a ctivate when yo u close
the plates and the rotating barrel will only function when the plates
are closed.
The rotating f unction is de- activated when the sw itch is in the middle
position.

The remov able untanglin g combs guide your hai r for a more even
hairstyle.

USE

Befor e using the pr o styler ion ic …

• Wash your hair, dry using a hair dryer and untangle with a large -

tooth comb.

• Plug the BaByl iss pro- styler ionic into the ma ins and press th e

‘

I/O

’ button . The red indic ator light will com e on: after a ver y brief
heat-up time, your pro-styler is ready to use; the red LED will
remain lit throughout use.

Note! Every time you use the st yler, you may notice some steam
being released. This may be from the evaporation of the sebum or
the remains of hair products (leave-in hair care, hair spray, etc.) or
dampness in your hair.
You will also notice th at the unit sputte rs slightly, this sound i s normal
for a high out put ion generator.

• Set the temperature using the temperature selector. Generally,

we recommend starting with a lower temperature for fine,
bleached and/or damaged hair, and a higher temperature
for curly, thick and/or dif ficult-to-style hair. Because every
hair type is different, we recommend you set the appliance at
positio n 1 when you use it for the fi rst time. You can incre ase the
temperature progressively as necessary over the nex t few uses.

To straigh ten your hair (1)

• Take up a section of ha ir about 3-4 cm wid e and place it betwee n

the plates n ear the roots of you r hair.

• Close the plates and hold, sliding the appliance slowly from the

roots to th e tips. Repeat if ne cessary.

• For per fect straig htening that fa lls verticall y, separate the

secti ons of finer hair and st raighten them slo wly.

• For ‘vo lume straig htening’, separa te the thicke r sections of your

hair and straighten them more quickly.

• Style your hair for th e nal t ouch. Set the st raightening with a

little hairspray, but do not brush your hair.

To shape the e nds (2) and (3)

hair…

• To style you hair by turning the ends under (2), use as des cribed

above and tu rn the unit under, wit h the rotating bar rel under the
hair.

• To ip the ends of your hair outwa rd (3), use the same move bu t

in the opposite direc tion, with the rotating barrel on top of your
hair.

To create vol ume at the roo ts (4)

• Take up a 3-4 cm wide sect ion of hair, holdi ng the plates

perpendicular to your head, place your hair between the plates
with the ro tating barrel un der your hair.

• Close the unit and make a one- quarter tu rn with the hair, h old

for 1 to 2 seconds, then slowly slide the unit from the roots to
the ends.

• Use the unit only at the r oots and i f you want to style the same

section of hair again to intensify the effect, wait until it has
cooled.

• When nished styling the roots, comb your hai r with a w ide-

toothed c omb to even the waves and g enerate volume.

To curl your ha ir (5)

• Take up a 3 to 4 cm section of hair and clo se the unit with the

rotating barrel underneath.

• Holdin g t he unit closed, turn it upw ards 180°, so that the window

on the rota ting barrel can be s een on top of the sec tion.

• Then gently pull to the ends, relea se th e se ction and you will have

a superb curl.

MAINTENANCE

• Allow the un it to cool complete ly.

• The rotating barr el ma y be remove d fr om th e unit . Ro tate the lo ck

one- quarter turn ant i-clockwi se and pull out.

• Clean the plate a nd the bar rel using a soft, d amp cloth, without

detergent, to preserve their optimal quality. Do not scratch the
plate or ba rrel.

• Put the bar rel back into the uni t by holding it upri ght and sliding

the pins into their housing. Rotate the lock one-quarter turn
clock wise until you hear a cl ick.
