1 press 4 (at the back of the psa) to open the battery latch and
insert one AAA battery preferably alkaline as indicated.
2 insert lower edge of door as shown to close the battery
latch.
battery playtime
10 hours using AAA alkaline battery.
indication of empty battery
the battery icon appears when battery power is running low.
IMPORTANT!
– remove the battery if: battery drained or the psa will not be
used for more than 1 week.
batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed
of properly.

headphone and extension cord (see gure 3)
connect as shown.
note: the headphone and extension cord also act as the fm anten­na. position accordingly if you need to improve radio reception.
armband (see gure 4)
wear your digital audio player during sport activity by securing it to the supplied armband.
1 fit the psa into the rubber buckle with the headphone socket
aligned to the socket hole.
2 position the armband round your arm. thread the strap and
fasten up for a snug fit.

press y to turn on / off.
display message: on or off respectively.
smart power-saving mode
the power-saving mode will help you save battery power. if no controls on the psa are pressed during 60 minutes of playback, the psa automatically powers down after 60 minutes. even if the button lock is activated.
beep beep!
when you press any control on the psa, the psa beeps in response.
note: the - / + controls are silent so as to not interrupt your listening pleasure.
adjusting volume - / +
press - / + to decrease / increase the volume.
display: uO (volume) and a number 00-16 indicating the vol­ume level.
note: in case you've been out and about listening at high volume, the volume is automatically adjusted to start at a lower, comfortable volume, u 10 when you next switch on the radio.

radio reception , presets
tuning to fm radio stations
to help reception, make sure you have plugged in headphones and or the extension cord first.
manually
press
1 / 2 briefly and repeatedly to tune to stations.
display: the radio frequency, and if stations stored: preset and a preset station number, 1-10.
automatically
press and hold
1 / 2 for 1 second.
display: shows Srh during automatic search tuning until a station of sufficient strength is found. note: press any button if you want to interrupt / stop automatic search.
storing preset stations
you can program up to 10 fm stations. if you like, you can also replace a preset station with another frequency.
1 tune to your desired station (see tuning to fm radio stations). 2 press and hold

display: shows preset and a preset station number flashing.

1 / 2 to select your preset station number.

to confirm your preset station number. you'll hear 2 beeps to confirm your station has just been stored.

general information
using the button lock
deactivates the other buttons so they are not activated
accidentally. to activate / deactivate the button lock, press
display: appears if button lock active.
take care when using headphones
hearing safety: listen at a moderate volume. using headphones at
high volume can impair your hearing. trafc safety: do not use headphones while driving or cycling as you
may cause an accident.
general maintenance (see gure 5)
to avoid damage or malfunction:
– do not expose to excessive heat caused by heating equipment
or direct sunlight.
– do not allow the psa to be submersed in water. do not expose
headphone socket or battery compartment to water as water entering the set may cause major damage.
– do not use any cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia,
benzene, or abrasives as these may harm the set.

if a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the set for repair.
if you are unable to remedy a problem by following these hints, consult your dealer or service centre.
warning: under no circumstances should you try to repair the set your-
self, as this will invalidate the guarantee.
no display / sound
battery weak / incorrectly inserted.
correctly insert fresh battery.
buttons pressed too quickly.
slow down press rmly.
headphones not properly connected.
insert headphone plug into socket completely.
psa switches off by itself after 60 minutes.
this is not a problem, but the power-saving mode. press the power on button y again if you want to continue
listening to the radio.
no reaction to controls
activated.
deactivate
electronic discharge.
remove battery and replace after several seconds.
