INDICATIONS
LCD Battery Charge Meter
The number (percentage) on the display indicates
approximately how much power there is left in the batteries.
Low Battery Indicator
If the batteries run low,the “20” section on the display
starts blinking and the light near the cord inlet turns red.
Charging Indicator
When you charge razor,the “20” section on the display
starts blinking. As charging continues, more and more
sections of the display meter will start blinking to indicate what level (percentage) of the batteries have been
charged.
Full Charge Indicator
When the batteries have been fully charged,“FULL” section on the display will blink and the light near the cord
inlet will turn green and blink.
CHARGING
Battery performance is best if you recharge only whenthe batteries are (almost) completely empty.
Charging or recharging at temperatures below 40ºF or
higher than 95ºF adversely affects lifetime of batteries.
Continuously recharging or continuously using as acorded razor will reduce life of batteries.
You may also shave using the cord provided.
This razor will not recharge while being used
corded.Recharge razor only when the red light is ON
and “20” starts blinking.
Do not charge razor in pouch.

1 Connect cord to razor. Plug into any 120V to 240V
AC/DCoutlet.Use only the cord provided. The indicator
lightwill turn green and “20” starts blinking. As charging
continues,more and more sections will start blinking
toindicate what level of the batteries have been charged.
An adaptor plug may be necessary for cord usage in
some foreign countries.Your new razor will automatically
convert internally to work on 100V to 240V AC/DC
Systems.
2 First time charging and recharging after non-use for
1 month or more requires a full 4 hours.When batteries
have been fully charged,indicator light turns green,blinks
and “FULL”appears on the display.
Recharging
1 After initial 4-hour charge, recharging requires approxi-
mately 1/2 hour.
2 Disconnect the cord.Do not keep razor permanently
onnected to the outlet.
Quick Charge
When batteries are totally depleted,recharging the razor
for approximately 6 minutes gives enough energy for a
3 minute cordless shave.

HOW TO SHAVE WITH AN ELECTRIC RAZOR
Shaving with a clean,dry face gives the best results.
1 Turn razor ON.Shave against the direction of beard growth
using both straight and circular movements.
2 Stretch your skin with your free hand so blades can lift
and cut whiskers.Gently press razor to skin, so the floating heads can follow the contour of your face. DO NOT
press too hard. Too much pressure can pinch the skin
into the combs.
3 Turn razor OFF.
4 Put the protective razor head cap on the razor to
protect razor heads.
5 Replace your Norelco Reflex Action razor heads
(model # HQ5) once a year for optimal shaving results.
TRIMMING
To groom sideburns and moustache:
1 Turn razor ON.
2 Push up Trimmer Slide Switch. The Trimmer can be acti-
vated while the razor is running.

Hold Trimmer as shown and move in downward strokes
with gentle pressure.

4 Close T rimmer by sliding Trimmer switch down.
5 Turn razor OFF.
CLEANING

1 Always turn razor OFF, unplug from outlet and remove
cord from razor bef

2 Clean the top of the razor with the supplied brush.
3 Press Razor Head Release Button and remove Razor Head
Assembly from the razor unit.
4 Brush the inside of housing and Razor Head Assembly.
5 Replace the Razor Head Assembly back on razor.
Every Two Months:Razor Heads
1 Turn razor OFF and disconnect from outlet.
2 Press the Razor Head Release Button and remove
Razor Head Assembly from the razor unit.
3 Brush the inside of the razor housing.

4 Turn Razor Head Assembly over so that underside is
exposed.
5 Press down and turn wheel of frame counterclockwise.
6 Remove the frame and brush clean.
7 Remove and clean one cutter and head at a time.
• Be careful not to mix up cutters and heads. They are a
matched set and if interchanged,it will greatly affect
shaving performance.
8 Separate the cutter from the head.
9 Only brush the cutter in an upward motion.
Use the short bristled side of the brush.
10 Brush the slots of the razor head.
For optimum performance,razor cutters and heads should
be cleaned in a degreasing liquid (e.g.Norelco Razor
Cleaner, model RC1776 or alcohol) and lubricated with
Norelco Razor Lubricant,model AL80,or one drop of
mineral oil (in the center of the head).

11 Replace the cutter and razor head in the Head Assembly.
12 Repeat the process for the other two razor heads
(cutters and heads).
13 Replace the frame.
14 Press down and turn the wheel clockwise until it locks
into place.
15 Replace the Razor Head Assembly back on razor.
After Each Use:Trimmer
1 Turn razor OFF.
2 Push Trimmer Slide Switch up to pop up Trimmer.
3 Clean Trimmer with the brush after each use.
4 Lubricate the Trimmer teeth with Norelco Razor
Lubricant (model AL80), or with one drop of mineral oil
every 6 months.
5 Close T rimmer by sliding T rimmer switch down.

Es un hecho que su piel y su barba necesitan tiempo para
adaptarse a cualquier nuevo sistema de afeitado.
Use exclusivamente su nueva afeitadora durante 3 semanas para disfrutar completamente del apurado de un

Al principio puede que no obtenga un afeitado tan apurado como esperaba,o incluso es posible que su cara se
irrite ligeramente. Esto es normal, ya que su barba y su
piel necesitarán tiempo para adaptarse. Emplee 3 semanas
y podrá disfrutar por completo de su nueva afeitadora
*Persevere con ella ! Si va alternado métodos de afeitado

CÓMO AFEITARSE CON UNA AFEITADORA ELÉCTRICA
El afeitarse con la cara limpia y seca da los mejores resultados.
1 Ponga la afeitadora en marcha.Haciendo movimientos
tanto rectos como circulares,aféitese en dirección contraria a la del crecimiento del pelo.
2 Con su mano libre estírese la piel para que los conjuntos
cortantes puedan levantar y cortar la barba. Presione
suavemente la afeitadora sobre la piel a fin de que los
conjuntos cortantes flotantes puedan seguir los contornos de su cara.NO apriete demasiado fuerte.
Demasiada presión puede pellizcar la piel con los conjun-
tos cortantes
3 Apague la afeitadora.
4 Para proteger los conjuntos cortantes,ponga la tapa del
cabezal afeitador en la afeitadora.Pafeitador en la afeita-
dora.

5 Para unos resultados óptimos,sustituya los conjuntos cor-
tantes Reflex Action (tipo HQ5) una vez al año.

Apague la afeitadora y desenchúfela.

Presione el botón de liberación del cabezal de la afeitadora y quite el conjunto cabezal de la afeitadora de la
unidad afeitadora.

Limpie el interior de la carcasa de la afeitadora.

Invierta el conjunto cabezal de la afeitadora de forma
que el lado inferior quede expuesto.
5 Presione y gire (en sentido antihorario) la ruedecita del
marco.
6 Quite el marco y límpielo con el cepillo.

7 Quite y limpie una cuchilla y un protector cada vez.
• No limpie más de una cuchilla y un protector a la vez,ya
que forman un conjunto.Si, accidentalmente, mezcla las
cuchillas y los protectores,pueden ser necesarias varias
semanaspara recuperar el rendimiento óptimo en el
afeitado.
8 Separe la cuchilla del protector.
9 Cepille la cuchilla sólo con un movimiento ascendente.
Use el lado de cerdas cortas del cepillo.
10 Cepille las ranuras del cabezal de la afeitadora
Para un óptimo rendimiento,las cuchillas y los protectores de la afeitadora deberían limpiarse en un líquido
desengrasante (por ejemplo,el Limpiador Norelco para
Afeitadora,tipo RC1776, o alcohol) y lubricarse con
Lubricante Norelco para Afeitadora, tipo AL80, o con
una gota de aceite mineral (en el centro del conjunto).
11 Vuelva a colocar la cuchilla y el protector en el cabezal.
12 Repita el proceso con los otros dos conjuntos cortantes
(cuchillas y protectores).
13 Vuelva a poner el marco.

14 Presione y gire (en sentido horario) la ruedecita hasta
que quede fijada en su lugar.
15 Vuelva a poner el Bloque del Cabezal Afeitador en la
afeitadora.
Después de cada uso: Cortapatillas
1 Apague la afeitadora
2 Para hacer salir el cortapatillas, presione hacia arriba el
interruptor deslizante del cortapatillas.
3 Limpie el cortapatillas con el cepillo.
4 Cada 6 meses,lubrique los dientes del cortapatillas con
Lubricante Norelco para Afeitadora (tipo AL80) o con una
gota de aceite mineral.
5 Cierre el cortapatillas deslizando el interruptor del corta-
patillas hacia abajo.
