HDTV
HDTV delivers exceptional picture quality and real mo
vie-viewing experience that makes television more dynamic, truer than anything you've seen before. It is the latest and best television signal available. It features picture quality more than twice that of traditional analog broadcasts. In order to effectively maximize the HDTV signal, a television must incorporate advanced signal input connectivity and circuitry design.
Progressive Scan
Progressive Scan doubles the vertical res
olution of the image resulting in a noticeably sharper picture. Instead of sending a field comprising the odd lines to the screen first, followed by the field with the even lines, both fields are written at one time. A full image is created instantaneously, using the maximum resolution. At such a speed, your eye perceives a sharper picture with no line structure.
Active Control + Light Sensor
Active Control is a unique and intelligent way o
f optimizing picture quality by measuring and
analyzing the incoming signal to automatically adjust picture quality settings. Active Control with Light Sensor uses a sensor to adjust the picture brightness depending on the room light conditions.
Scavem
Scan velocity modulation varies the speed of th
e electron beam for a more finely rendered
picture with improved sharpness and contrast.
Dolby Digital Surround
Because Dolby Digital and DTS, the world's l
eading digital multi-channel audio standards, make use of the way the human ear naturally processes sound, you experience superb quality surround sound audio with realistic spatial cues.
1 Tuner Picture in Picture
With 1 tuner Picture-in-Picture, you can view video from an e window on your screen.

HDMI input
HDMI makes an uncompressed digital RGB c
onnection from the source to the screen. By eliminating conversion to an analog signal, it delivers an unblemished image. The nondegraded signal reduces flicker and leads to a clearer picture. HDMI intelligently communicates the highest output resolution with the source device. The HDMI input is fully backward compatible with DVI sources but includes digital audio. HDMI uses HDCP copy protection.
Component Video Input (YPbPr)
Component Video is the highest quality i
nterconnection standard for analog video. It is
sharper than S-video and composite video.
