Real Flat picture tube
Philips TV picture tube provides non-distorted picture
quality, while offering a wider viewing angle without light
reflections.Thanks to the highly pigmented phosphors, the
brightness and contrast performance are considerably
improved compared to conventional picture tubes.
PixelPlus 2
Pixel Plus 2 creates near High Definition (HD)
performance inside the TV on the basis of a regular input
signal. By doubling the number of lines (NTSC) and by
doubling the number of pixels on a line, in combination
with Digital Natural Motion, Pixel Plus enhances both
regular broadcast signals and DVD or Digital TV input
towards unparalleled sharpness and depth, near HD
resolution and natural detail.A built-in splitscreen mode
will effectively demonstrate the improvements.
Digital Natural Motion
Building upon 100 Hz technology Philips invented Digital
Natural Motion to radically eliminate juddering effects
that are visible with moving picture content. Digital
Natural Motion advanced processing estimates motion in
the picture and corrects juddering movements in both
broadcast and movie material (DVD). Smooth motion
reproduction and excellent sharpness are the result.
Digital Crystal Clear incl. Dynamic Scavem
A unique package of picture innovations including
Combfilter, Scavem, Dynamic Contrast, Color Enhancement
and Luminance Transient Processing. Digital Crystal Clear,
using 10 bit processing, offers 30% more contrast, natural
colors and a high level of detail. Dynamic Scavem ensures
maximum sharpness and depth while retainig a natural
image quality.
Full Active Control
Active Control automatically analyses, 50 times per
second, the incoming signal and adjusts the key picture
settings on Sharpness, Digital Noise Reduction, Color,
Contrast and Picture Format.The ambient light sensor
adjusts the settings according to the viewing conditions in
the room.Active Control thus offers the best possible
picture settings any time, any source.
Virtual Dolby Surround
Dolby processes circuitry for enhanced surround sound
effect creates the sensation of Dolby Pro logic with just 2
front speakers and a sub-woofer for materials encoded
with Dolby Pro logic or Dolby Surround .
Compass Graphical User Interface
Easy and intuitive operation through clear layered menus.
Dynamic graphics of the menu navigation clearly shows
the overall menu position, and next options. Built in help
function. Easy control of most used features through daily
menus. Easy zapping of favorite programs via Smart
surf.Teletext navigation includes Wordsearch (free format
searching), HyperText (page-catching and word selection),
Habitwatch and 1200 page memory.
HD Component Video input
