INTRODUCTION
Your LIGHTING CAM is a unique surveillance system for your home or business. At
night, the built-in passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor turns on the light when it detects
motion in its coverage area, so that camera images can be clearly seen. During the
day, the built-in photocell sensor saves electricity by deactivating the light. This
camera can link up with a control panel (after code learning) and save the recorded
video on the panel’s memory card via signal streaming. The unit is designed for both
indoor and outdoor usages.
Note: 1) This product belongs to part of a security system that monitors
/operates 24 hours nonstop. 2) Read this entire manual before you start
to install the system.
BEFORE START
BULB INSTA LLATION
CAUTION: Always handle quartz halogen bulb with a sof t cloth. Do not touch the bulb
with your bare hand as it will shorten the bulb life.
(1) Do not touch the light while it is in use or still hot. Allow it to cool off (about 5
minutes) before touching it.
(2) Do not use halogen bulb rated higher than 120 watts.
(3) Disconnect the power cord or wall switch and then use a cross head screwdriver,
loose the screw at the bottom edge of the front surround (FIGURE 1).
(4) Take off the front surround. Install bulb by inserting one end first and depressing
until enough clearance is gained to seat the other end of the socket. Rotate
halogen bulb to assure proper seating. Refit the front surround in place and
fasten the screw (FIGURE 2).

CHOOSING A MOUNTING LOCATION
For the best results, fix the unit on a solid surface, 2.5m above the ground.
Avoid aiming the unit at pools, heating vents, air conditioners or objects which
may change temperature rapidly.
Do not allow sunlight to fall directly on the front of unit.
Try to avoid pointing the unit at trees or shrubs or where the motion of pets may be
detected.
The motion sensor is more sensitive to objects moving across its field of view. It
is less sensitive to an object moving directly towards the sensor head. (FIGURE
3).

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Do not install the product in storming or raining weather.
Be sure to switch off power source before installing.
To avoid fire or burn hazards:
Allow fixture to cool before touching.
The product must be installed in an upright position as shown in the following figure.

IMPORTANT
Installation must be performed by skilled technicians who are informed about the
standards and technical requirements of the appliance and its proper installation.
Check your local codes as they apply to your situation. If the house wiring is of
aluminum, consult with an electrician about proper wiring methods.
Before proceeding with the installation, TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE
LIGHTING CIRCUIT AT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE BOX TO AVOID
ELECTRICAL SHOCK.
INSTALLATION
A drill and a screwdriver are needed for i nstallation. Select a location for the unit based
on the coverage angles as shown in FIGURE 5 (110° at 8m range).

Install a wall switch adjacent to the power source (FIGURE 6). This will help you
operate LIGHTING CAM with ease.

WIRING INSTRUCTION
(1) Switch off the power source or wall switch.
(2) Remove the wall box then unscrew one of the screws on the pressure block.

Note: There is a “UP” mark shown on the interior wall box. Be sure to have “UP” mark
shown upwardly when fixing the wall box on the wall.
(3) Use a screwdriver to break a small hole on the cable gasket enabling the power
cord to enter the wall box. (FIGURE 8)

(4) Route the power cord through the cable gasket.
Note: The power cord must meet H05RN-F,
1.0mm² requirement.
(5) Fix the wall box to the pre-determined mounting location by making use of the two
screws provided. (FIGURE 9)

(6) Strip approximately 6-8mm insulating part of the wires from the power cord.
Before connection, ensure that the wall box gasket is firmly seated in its original
place.
(7) Connect the BROWN wire (Live wire) to the terminal block “L” mark.
Connect the BLUE wire (Neutral wire) to the terminal block “N” mark.
Connect the YELLOW/GREEN (Ground wire) to the terminal block “
“ mark.

(8) The unit should be earthed.
(9) Ensure that the terminal block is put in its original position after connecting the
wires.
FUNCTION SETTING
POWER UP
Press and hold the
PAIR/ button for about 4 seconds to turn on the unit. Once the
Lighting Cam is powered up, it will take a short period to warm up. After 20 seconds,
the unit enters standby mode and is ready for function.
CODE LEARNING
The camera must complete code learning with the control panel to be fully functional.
Follow the steps below to implement code learning:
1. Power on the control panel and set it into code learning mode (refer to the
Operation Guide of the panel for details).
2. Press the
PAIR/ button on the camera once so as to emit the ID code to the
panel.
3. When the panel successfully learns the code of the camera, the code learning
process is complete.
Note: To unpair the camera, use the “unpair” function on the control panel.
OPERATION
Once powered on, the camera will start to detect movements within its coverage
area. When the PIR is triggered by motion, the camera will start to record live
images. The recorded video will be streamed as A/V signal to the control panel
and saved on the panel’s memory card.
If the ambient light level is below pre-set value when the PIR is triggered, the light
will also turn on.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Light does not turn on:
Confirm that you have made a correct “wiring connection”.
Make sure that the bulb has not burned out and is installed correctly.
PIR is not working:
Do not allow sunlight to fall directly on to the front of the unit.
The camera not recording and no warning sound after trigger:
The camera does not complete code learning with control panel.
Make sure the PIR is triggered for camera to become active
If none of above conditions, turn off the unit and then turn on to try again.
The taken images of people are blurred during the night:
Avoid taking images with sky as background; turn the camera lens down if it
is the case.
Try not to spot the light on reflective objects; the reflection of light could
cause blurred images.
