Please read and follow the instructions in this manual. Proper fit of the collar is important. A collar worn for too long, or made too tight on the pet’s neck may cause skin damage. This is called bed sores; it is also called decubitus ulcers or pressure necrosis.

• Avoid leaving the collar on the dog for more than 12 hours per day.

• When possible reposition the collar on the pet’s neck every 1 to 2 hours.

• Check the t to prevent excessive pressure; follow the instructions in this manual.

• Never connect a lead to the electronic collar; it will cause excessive pressure on the contacts.

• When using a separate collar for a lead, don’t put pressure on the electronic collar.

• Wash the dog’s neck area and the contacts of the collar weekly with a damp cloth.

• Examine the contact area daily for signs of a rash or a sore.

• If a rash or sore is found, discontinue use of the collar until the skin has healed.

• If the condition persists beyond 48 hours, see your veterinarian.

These steps will help keep your pet safe and comfortable. Millions of pets are comfortable while they wear stainless steel contacts. Some pets are sensitive to contact pressure. You may find after some time that your pet is very tolerant of the collar. If so, you may relax some of these precautions. It is important to continue daily checks of the contact area. If redness or sores are found, discontinue use until the skin has fully healed.

• The PetSafe used only on healthy dogs. We recommend that you take your dog to a veterinarian before using the collar if he is not in good health.

• Do not shave the pet’s neck as this may increase the risk of skin irritation.

• You should not make the collar any tighter than is required for good contact. A collar that is too tight will increase the risk of pressure necrosis in the contact area.

How the System Works

The VBC-10 Vibration Bark Control Collar has two primary features designed to shorten the training phase and promote good behaviour.

First, the Bark Control Control offers 10 combinations of Vibration Stimulation. When the dog barks, vibration is delivered from one of the two Vibration

Points. The duration of the vibration is random, which interrupts the dog’s bark. When used according to instruction the Vibration Bark Control Collar safely reduces (and in most cases eliminates) nuisance barking.

Second, the Vibration Bark Control Collar includes Patented Perfect Bark™

technology. It uses both vibration and sound sensors (dual-detection) to discriminate each bark from other external noises. This ensures your dog’s bark is the only sound that will cause the stimulation.

As a built-in safety feature, if your dog barks 15 times or more within a 1 minute 20 second period, the Bark Control Collar will automatically shut off for 1 minute.

Important: Before playing with your dog, remove the Vibration Bark Control Collar. The activity may cause your dog to bark, which could lead him to

associate the play with the Vibration Stimulation.

Fit the Bark Control Collar

Important: The proper fit and placement of your Bark Control Collar is

important for effective operation. The Vibration Points must have direct contact with your dog’s skin on the underside of his neck.

Please refer to page 3 for Important Safety Information.

To assure a proper fit, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure that the battery is in the “OFF” position.

2. Have your dog standing comfortably (A).

3. Center the Vibration Points underneath your dog’s neck, touching the skin (B).

Note: It is

sometimes necessary to trim the hair around the Vibration Points to make sure that contact is consistent.

4. Check the tightness of the Bark Control Collar by inserting one finger between the strap and the dog’s neck (C). The fit should be snug but not constricting.

Do not shave the pet’s neck as this may increase the risk of skin irritation.

You should not make the collar any more tight than is required for good contact. A collar that is too tight will increase the risk of pressure necrosis in the contact area.

5. Allow your dog to wear the collar for several minutes, then recheck the fit. Check the fit again as your dog becomes more comfortable with the Bark Control Collar.

6. Trim the collar as follows (D):

a. Mark the desired length

of the collar with a pen. Allow for growth if your dog is young or grows a thick winter coat.

b. Remove the Bark Control

c. Before placing the Bark Control Collar back onto your dog, seal the

edge of the cut collar by applying a flame along the frayed edge.

ON/OFF Battery Module

The PetSafe® VBC-10 Vibration Bark Control is packaged with the battery module installed in the “OFF” position. To activate the collar, use a coin to turn the Battery Module counter clockwise until the arrow lines up with the “ON” position. If the collar is not going to be used on the dog immediately leave it in the “OFF” position.

To Insert and Remove the Battery

Note: Do not install the battery while the Bark Control Collar is on your dog.

1. Align the line on the battery with the

triangle on the Bark Control Collar (A).

2. Use a coin to turn the battery clockwise until the line points to the “ON” position if you are putting it on the dog or the “OFF” position if it is not being put on the dog right away (B).

3. To remove the battery, turn the battery counter-clockwise using a coin (C, D).

Do not attempt to cut into or pry open the battery. Be sure to discard the used battery properly.

This Bark Control Collar utilizes a replaceable PetSafe® battery (RFA-188). This unique battery is designed to make battery replacement easier and increase water protection.

Battery Life

Average battery life is 3 to 6 months, depending on how often your dog barks. However, due to greater use during your dog’s training, your first battery may not last as long as replacement batteries. To conserve battery life, turn to the “OFF” position when the Bark Control Collar is not in use.

Three Colour LED

The three color LED indicator shows good or low battery and indicates Test Mode. Good battery equals 1 ash every 5 seconds with Green LED. Low battery equals 3 ashes every 5 seconds with the Red LED. If there are no LED lights it is time to change the battery.

To Test the Vibration Bark Control Collar

1. Begin with the Collar in the “OFF” position.

2. Turn to the “ON” position until the LED shows Orange.

3. Immediately turn to the “OFF” position after seeing the Orange LED.

4. Turn to the “ON” position. The LED will ash Orange and you are now in test mode.

5. Blow into the microphone and the Orange LED will ash to indicate that the microphone is working.

6. Scratch lightly between the Vibration Points to indicate the vibration

is working.

7. If the LED light does not ash and there is no vibration, ensure that the battery is properly installed, and/or replace the battery. If there is still no response, contact the Customer Care Centre.

8. Turn “OFF” to end the test mode. The test mode will also time out after 30 seconds and resume normal operation.

What to Expect During Use of the Vibration Bark Control Collar

Vibration Stimulation. Place the Bark Control Collar properly on your dog and wait nearby until he

barks. Most dogs will understand very quickly that the Bark Control Collar is disrupting their urge to bark and will relax and stop barking. Because the Vibration Stimulation from the Bark Control Collar may be surprising or startling at first, some dogs may bark more at the initial stimulation.

On rare occasions, a dog may get into a bark-stimulation-bark-stimulation cycle. If this happens, reassure your dog with calm, soothing tones. As your dog relaxes, he will understand that if he becomes quiet, he will not receive any more Vibration Stimulations. The small minority of dogs that have this reaction will only have it the first time they wear the Bark Control Collar.

You should notice a reduction in your dog’s barking within the first couple of days that he wears the Bark Control Collar. At this point, it is important to remember the learning process is still not complete. Dogs will “test” this new learning experience and will increase their attempts to bark. This usually occurs during the second week a dog wears the Bark Control Collar. If this does occur, remain consistent and do not alter your use of the Bark Control Collar. You must place the Bark Control Collar on your dog in every situation when you expect him to be quiet. If your dog is not wearing the Bark Control Collar, he may resume barking and his learning would suffer a setback.

Regular Maintenance

Troubleshooting

My dog keeps barking (does not respond to the Vibration Stimulation).

Separate collection of spent batteries is required in many regions; check the regulations in your area before discarding spent batteries. Fonctionnement du système

Le VBC-10 collier anti-aboiements par vibrations possède deux principales caractéristiques destinées à raccourcir la phase de dressage et à favoriser le bon comportement.

Tout d’abord, le collier anti-aboiements offre 10 combinaisons de stimulation par vibration. Lorsque le chien aboie, une vibration est envoyée depuis l’un des deux points de vibration. Ajustement du collier anti-aboiements

Important: La mise en place et l’ajustement corrects de votre collier anti-

aboiements sont importants pour un fonctionnement efficace. Les points de vibration doivent être en contact direct avec la peau de votre chien, sous son cou.

Pour garantir un bon ajustement, veuillez suivre les étapes suivantes :

1. Vérifiez que la pile est en position «OFF».

2. Installez votre chien confortablement (A).

3. Centrez les points de vibration sous le cou de votre chien en leur faisant toucher la peau (B).

Remarque: Il est

parfois nécessaire de couper les poils

autour des points de vibration pour assurer un contact constant.

4. Vérifiez le serrage du collier anti-aboiements en insérant un doigt entre le collier et le cou du chien (C). L’ajustement doit être serré mais ne doit pas comprimer.

Module pile ON/OFF

Le VBC-10 contrôle des aboiments par vibrations PetSafe® est conditionné avec le module pile installé en position «OFF». Pour l’activer, utilisez une pièce de monnaie et tournez le module pile dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre, jusqu’à ce que la flèche s’aligne avec la position «ON». Si vous n’envisagez pas d’utiliser le collier immédiatement, laissez-le en position «OFF».

Insertion et retrait de la pile

Remarque : N’installez pas la pile alors que le collier anti-aboiements est sur votre chien.

1. Alignez la ligne située sur la pile avec le triangle présent sur le collier antiaboiements (A).

2. Utilisez une pièce de monnaie pour tourner la pile dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à ce que la ligne pointe vers la position «ON» si vous la placez sur le chien ou vers la position «OFF» si vous ne la placez pas immédiatement sur le chien (B).

3. Pour retirer la pile, tournez-la dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre à l’aide d’une pièce de monnaie (C, D).

Test du collier anti-aboiements par vibrations

1. Commencez avec le collier en position « OFF ».

2. Mettez-le en position « ON » jusqu’à ce que la DEL devienne orange.

3. Dès que la DEL orange apparaît, remettez-le en position « OFF ».

4. Mettez le dispositif en position « ON ». La DEL clignote en orange; vous êtes maintenant en mode test.

5. Soufez dans le microphone; la DEL orange clignote pour indiquer qu’il fonctionne.

6. Griffez légèrement entre les points de vibration pour déterminer si la vibration fonctionne.

7. Si le voyant ne clignote pas et qu’il n’y a pas de vibration, vériez que la pile est correctement installée et/ou remplacez-la. S’il n’y a toujours pas de réaction, contactez le centre de service clientèle.

8. Éteignez le dispositif pour quitter le mode test. Ce mode s’arrête également après 30 secondes, puis reprend son fonctionnement normal.

À quoi s’attendre lors de l’utilisation du collier anti-aboiements par vibrations?

Important: Ne laissez pas votre chien seul les premières fois qu’il reçoit

une stimulation par vibration. Placez correctement le collier anti-aboiements sur votre chien et attendez à

proximité jusqu’à ce qu’il aboie. La plupart d’entre-eux comprennent très rapidement que le collier-aboiements perturbe leur besoin d’aboyer; ils se détendent et cessent alors d’aboyer. Comme la stimulation par vibration du collier anti-aboiements peut être brusque ou surprenante au début, certains chiens peuvent aboyer davantage lors de la première stimulation.

Dans de rares cas, le chien entre dans un cycle d’aboiement-stimulationaboiement-stimulation. Si cela arrive à votre chien, rassurez-le d’un ton calme et rassurant. À mesure qu’il se calmera, votre chien comprendra que s’il est silencieux, il ne reçoit plus de stimulations par vibration. La petite minorité de chiens qui ont cette réaction ne l’ont que la première fois qu’ils portent le collier anti-aboiements.

Vous devriez remarquer une diminution des aboiements de votre chien dès le deuxième jour du port du collier anti-aboiements. À ce stade, il est important de se rappeler que le processus d’apprentissage n’est pas terminé. Les chiens vont «tester» cette nouvelle expérience d’apprentissage et augmenter leurs tentatives d’aboiement. Ceci se produit en général pendant la deuxième semaine du port du collier anti-aboiements. Dans ce cas, restez cohérent et ne modiez pas votre utilisation du collier anti-aboiements. Vous devez mettre le collier anti-aboiements sur votre chien dans toutes les situations où vous voulez qu’il reste silencieux. Zo werkt het systeem

De antiblafhalsband met vibratie heeft twee hoofdfuncties die zijn ontworpen om de trainingsfase te verkorten en goed gedrag te stimuleren.

Ten eerste biedt de antiblafhalsband 10 combinaties van corrigerende vibraties. Wanneer de hond blaft, wordt vanuit één van de twee

vibratiepunten een vibratie geleverd. De duur van de vibratie is willekeurig en onderbreekt het geblaf van de hond. Wanneer de antiblafhalsband volgens de instructies wordt gebruikt, vermindert (en in de meeste gevallen elimineert) deze het vervelende geblaf op een veilige manier.

Ten tweede bevat de antiblafhalsband met vibratie de gepatenteerde Perfect Bark™-technologie. Deze maakt gebruik van zowel vibraties als geluidsensoren (dubbele detectie) om elke blaf te kunnen onderscheiden van andere externe geluiden. Hierdoor is het geblaf van uw hond het enige geluid dat de stimulans veroorzaakt.

Als ingebouwde veiligheidsfunctie schakelt de antiblafhalsband automatisch 1 minuut uit als uw hond gedurende 1 minuut en 20 seconden 15 keer of meer blaft.

Belangrijk: verwijder de antiblafhalsband met vibratie voordat u met uw

hond gaat spelen. Tijdens het spel kan de hond gaan blaffen, waardoor hij het spelen kan gaan associëren met de corrigerende virbratie.

De antiblafhalsband aanpassen

Belangrijk: voor een effectieve werking van de antiblafhalsband is het belang-

rijk dat deze goed past en correct geplaatst is. De vibratiepunten moeten rechtstreeks in contact zijn met de huid aan de onderkant van de hals van uw hond.

Raadpleeg pagina 32 voor belangrijke informatie m.b.t. veiligheid.

Volg deze stappen om ervoor te zorgen dat de halsband goed past:

1. Zorg ervoor dat de batterij in de positie “UIT” (OFF) staat.

2. Zorg ervoor dat uw hond op zijn gemak bij u staat (A).

3. Centreer de vibratiepunten onder de hals van uw hond en zorg dat deze de huid raken (B).

Opmerking: het kan

nodig zijn om het haar rond de vibratiepunten weg te knippen om voor een constant contact te zorgen.

4. Controleer of de antiblafhalsband goed zit door één vinger tussen de halsband en de nek van de hond te steken (C). De halsband moet redelijk strak zijn, maar mag de

draaien totdat de pijl naar de positie “AAN” (ON) wijst. Als u de halsband niet onmiddellijk gaat gebruiken, laat u deze in de positie “UIT” (OFF).

Plaatsen en verwijderen van de batterij

Opmerking: plaats de batterij niet terwijl de hond de halsband om heeft.

1. Breng de lijn op de batterij op dezelfde hoogte als de driehoek op de antiblafhalsband (A).

Levensduur batterij

De gemiddelde levensduur van de batterij is 3 tot 6 maanden, afhankelijk van het blafgedrag van de hond. In het begin van de training kan de batterij echter sneller leeg raken omdat de microfoon vaker wordt geactiveerd. Om de batterij te sparen, zet u deze op de positie "UIT" (OFF) wanneer u de antiblafhalsband niet gebruikt.

3-kleurig LED lampje

Het 3-kleurig LED-lampje toont de batterijstatus (vol of leeg) en de testmodus. Bij een volle batterij knippert de groene LED 1x per 5 seconden. Bij een lege batterij knippert de rode LED 3x per 5 seconden. Als er geen LED-lampjes branden, moet de batterij worden vervangen.

De antiblafhalsband met vibratie testen

1. Begin met de halsband in de positie “UIT” (OFF).

dus schakelt na 30 seconden uit en dan wordt de normale werking hervat.

Wat te verwachten tijdens gebruik van de antiblafhalsband met vibratie

Belangrijk: laat uw hond niet alleen tijdens de eerste paar keren dat hij een

corrigerende vibratie krijgt.

Doe de antiblafhalsband op correcte wijze bij uw hond om en blijf in de buurt totdat hij blaft. De meeste honden zullen snel begrijpen dat de antiblafhalsband hun behoefte om te blaffen verstoort en zullen dan ontspannen en stoppen met blaffen. Omdat de hond in het begin verrast kan zijn door of kan schrikken van de corrigerende vibratie van de antiblafhalsband, gaan sommige honden bij de eerste stimulans meer blaffen.

Heel af en toe kan het gebeuren dat de hond in een vicieuze cirkel van blaffenstimulans-blaffen-stimulans terecht komt. Probeer uw hond dan met rustige en troostende stem te kalmeren. Als uw hond ontspant, zal hij begrijpen dat er geen corrigerende vibraties meer komen als hij niet blaft. De weinige honden die deze reactie hebben, hebben deze alleen de eerste keer dat ze de antiblafhalsband dragen.

Al na de eerste dagen dat uw hond de antiblafhalsband draagt, zou hij minder moeten blaffen. Het is belangrijk dat u dan bedenkt dat het leerproces nog niet voltooid is. Honden zullen het nieuw geleerde gaan "uittesten" en vaker proberen te blaffen. Dit gebeurt meestal tijdens de tweede week dat uw hond de antiblafhalsband draagt. Ook als dit niet gebeurt moet u consequent blijven en het gebruik van de antiblafhalsband niet veranderen. Doe de hond de antiblafhalsband altijd om als u verwacht dat hij stil blijft. Als de hond de halsband niet om heeft, kan hij opnieuw gaan blaffen en zou hij kunnen vergeten wat hij heeft geleerd.

Regulier onderhoud

Opruiming van batterijen

Gescheiden inzameling van gebruikte batterijen is in veel landen verplicht; controleer de plaatselijke voorschriften voor afvoer van gebruikte batterijen. Cómo funciona el sistema

El collar antiladridos por vibración presenta dos características principales diseñadas para acortar la fase de adiestramiento y fomentar el buen comportamiento de la mascota.

En primer lugar, el collar antiladridos ofrece 10 combinaciones de

estimulación mediante vibraciones. Cuando el perro ladra, el sistema aplica una vibración desde uno de los dos puntos de vibración. La duración de la vibración es aleatoria e interrumpe el ladrido del perro. Cuando se utiliza según las instrucciones, el collar antiladridos por vibración reduce (y en muchos casos elimina) de manera segura los ladridos molestos.

En segundo lugar, el collar antiladridos por vibración incluye la tecnología patentada Perfect Bark™, que utiliza sensores tanto de vibración como acústicos (doble detección) para distinguir cada ladrido de otros ruidos externos. Esto garantiza que el ladrido de su perro sea el único sonido que provoque la estimulación.

Como característica de seguridad integrada, si su perro ladra 15 veces o más dentro de un período de 1 minuto y 20 segundos, el collar antiladridos se apagará automáticamente durante 1 minuto.

Importante: apague la unidad y retire el collar antiladridos por vibración

Ajuste del collar antiladridos

Importante: el ajuste y la colocación correctos del collar antiladridos son im-

portantes para que el funcionamiento sea efectivo. Los puntos de vibración deben tener contacto directo con la piel del perro en la parte inferior del cuello.

Para asegurar un ajuste correcto, siga los siguientes pasos:

1. Asegúrese de que la batería se encuentre en la posición “OFF” (apagado).

2. Haga que su perro se ponga de pie de forma cómoda (A).

3. Coloque los puntos de vibración bajo el cuello del perro, de forma que estén en contacto con la piel (B).

Prueba del collar antiladridos por vibración

Guida all’uso

Come funziona il sistema

Il collare antiabbaio a vibrazione ha due funzioni principali progettate per abbreviare la fase di addestramento e per favorire il comportamento accettabile.

Prima di tutto, il collare antiabbaio offre 10 combinazioni di vibrazioni di stimolazione. Quando il cane abbaia viene erogata una vibrazione da uno dei due appositi punti. La durata della vibrazione è casuale, e serve ad interrompere l'abbaio del cane. Se viene utilizzato secondo le istruzioni il collare antiabbaio a vibrazione riduce in modo sicuro (eliminando nella maggior parte dei casi) l'abbaio fastidioso.

Inoltre, il collare antiabbaio a vibrazione comprende la tecnologia brevettata Perfect Bark™. Essa utilizza i sensori di rilevamento delle vibrazioni e dei suoni (doppio rilevamento) per distinguere ciascun abbaio dagli altri rumori esterni, garantendo che l'abbaio del vostro cane sia il solo suono che provoca la stimolazione.

Grazie ad una funzione integrata, se il vostro cane abbaia per 15 volte o più nel periodo di 1 minuto e 20 secondi, il collare antiabbaio si spegne automaticamente per 1 minuto.

Importante: prima di giocare con il cane, spegnere il collare di controllo dell’abbaio a vibrazione e rimuoverlo. L'attività potrebbe fare abbaiare il vostro cane, facendogli associare il gioco alla stimolazione con la vibrazione.

Fare indossare il collare antiabbaio al cane

Importante: l'aderenza e il posizionamento del collare antiabbaio è

importante per un funzionamento efficace. I punti di vibrazione sono a contatto diretto con la cute del cane sulla parte inferiore del collo.

Perché l'aderenza sia ottimale, seguire questa

procedura:

5. Attendere qualche minuto che il cane si abitui al collare, quindi ricontrollare l'aderenza. Verificare di nuovo l'aderenza quando il cane si sente più a suo agio con indosso il collare antiabbaio.

6. Accorciare il collare come segue (D): a. Contrassegnare la

lunghezza desiderata del collare con una penna. Tener conto della crescita, se il cane è giovane o se d'inverno sviluppa un pelame molto folto.

b. Rimuovere il collare

antiabbaio dal cane e tagliare via la lunghezza eccedente.

c. Prima di fare nuovamente indossare il collare antiabbaio al cane,

rifinire il margine reciso del collare passando una fiamma lungo il bordo sfilacciato.

Modulo batteria ON/OFF

Il VBC-10 controllo dell’abbaio a vibrazione PetSafe® è confezionato con il modulo di batteria installato nella posizione di spento (“OFF”). Per attivare il collare, servirsi di una moneta per ruotare il modulo batteria in senso antiorario finché le righe non sono allineate alla posizione di acceso (“ON”). Se il collare non deve essere utilizzato immediatamente sul cane, lasciare nella posizione di spento (“OFF”).

Inserimento e rimozione della batteria

Nota: non installare la batteria quando il cane indossa il collare antiabbaio.

1. Allineare la riga sulla batteria al triangolo presente sul collare antiabbaio (A).

2. Con una moneta ruotare la batteria in senso orario finché la riga non punta alla posizione di acceso ("ON"), se bisogna fare indossare subito il collare al cane, oppure su spento ("OFF") se è da indossare in un successivo momento (B).

3. Per rimuovere la batteria, ruotarla in senso antiorario utilizzando una

moneta (C, D).

Che cosa avviene quando si utilizza il collare antiabbaio a vibrazione

Importante: non lasciare solo il cane le prime volte che riceve una

vibrazione di stimolazione. Collocare correttamente il collare antiabbaio sul cane e attendere lì vicino che

inizi ad abbaiare. La maggior parte dei cani capisce molto rapidamente che il controllo antiabbaio interferisce con il loro bisogno di abbaiare, si rilassa e cessa l'abbaio. Poiché la stimolazione con vibrazione può sorprendere o far trasalire, alla prima stimolazione alcuni cani possono abbaiare più forte.

In rari casi, il cane può provocare un ciclo di abbaio-stimolazione-abbaio. Se questo accade, rassicurare il cane utilizzando un tono di voce calmo e suadente. Appena il cane si rilassa, comprende che se sta tranquillo, non riceve più alcuna vibrazione. So funktioniert das System

Das Antibellhalsband mit Vibration hat zwei Hauptfunktionen, die darauf ausgelegt sind, die Trainingsphase zu verkürzen und ein gutes Verhalten zu fördern.

Die Antibellhalsband bietet 10 Kombinationen der Stimulierung durch

Vibration. Wenn der Hund bellt, wird Vibration von einem der zwei Vibrationspunkte abgegeben. Die Dauer der Vibration ist zufällig, wodurch das Bellen des Hundes unterbrochen wird. Bei anweisungsgemäßer Verwendung reduziert (und in den meisten Fällen behebt) das Antibellhalsband mit Vibration auf sichere Weise lästiges Bellen.

Des Weiteren beinhaltet das Antibellhalsband mit Vibration die patentierte Perfect Bark™ Technologie. Es wendet sowohl Vibrations- als auch Geräuschsensoren (zweifache Detektion) an, um jedes Bellen von anderen externen Geräuschen zu unterscheiden. Dies gewährleistet, dass ausschließlich das Bellen Ihres Hundes die Stimulierung auslöst.

Eine integrierte Sicherheitsfunktion des Antibellhalsbands ist die automatische Abschaltung für 1 Minute, wenn Ihr Hund innerhalb einer Minute und 20 Sekunden 15 Mal oder öfter bellt.

Antibellhalsband anpassen

Wichtig: Für den wirksamen Betrieb ist die richtige Passung und Platzierung

Ihres Antibellhalsbands wichtig. Die Vibrationspunkte müssen direkten Kontakt mit der Haut Ihres Hundes an der Unterseite seines Halses haben.

Siehe bitte Seite 76 für wichtige Sicherheitsinformation.

Für die richtige Anpassung die folgenden Schritte befolgen:

1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass sich die Batterie in der "OFF" (AUS)-Position befindet.

2. Lassen Sie Ihren Hund bequem stehen (A).

3. Bringen Sie die Vibrationspunkte mittig unterhalb des Halses Ihres Hundes an, so dass sie die Haut berühren (B).

tig, die Haare um die Vibrationspunkte herum von Zeit zu Zeit zu schneiden, um sicherzustellen, dass ordnungsgemäßer Kontakt besteht.

4. Überprüfen Sie, wie eng das Antibellhalsband sitzt, indem Sie einen Finger zwischen das Band und den Hals des Hundes schieben (C). Es sollte gut passen, aber nicht zu eng sein.

Sie die Kante des Halsbands, indem Sie eine Flamme entlang der ausgefransten Kante bewegen.

EIN-/AUS-Batteriemodul

Das PetSafe® VBC-10 Bellkontrolle mit Vibration wird mit dem Batteriemodul in der "OFF" (AUS)-Position geliefert. Verwenden Sie zum Aktivieren des Halsbands eine Münze, mit der Sie das Batteriemodul gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen, bis der Pfeil auf "ON" (EIN) zeigt. Die dreifarbige LED-Anzeige zeigt den Batterieladestatus und den Testmodus an. Eine gute Batterie wird durch 1-maliges Blinken alle 5 Sekunden mit grüner LED anzeigt. Antibellhalsband mit Vibration prüfen

1. Beginnen Sie mit dem Halsband in der Position “OFF“ (AUS).

Bringen Sie es in die Position “ON“ (EIN), bis die orangefarbene LED aufleuchtet.

3. Bringen Sie es sofort in die Position “OFF“ (AUS) nach Aufleuchten der

orangefarbenen LED.

4. Bringen Sie es in die Position “ON“ (EIN). Die orangefarbene LED blinkt. Sie

befinden sich nun im Testmodus.

5. Blasen Sie in das Mikrofon. Die orangefarbene LED blinkt sodann, um

anzuzeigen, dass das Mikrofon funktioniert.

6. Kratzen Sie sanft zwischen den Vibrationspunkten, um zu sehen, ob die

Vibration funktioniert.

7. Wenn die LED nicht blinkt und es keine Vibration gibt, stellen Sie sicher, dass

die Batterie ordnungsgemäß installiert ist und/oder wechseln Sie die Batterie aus. Wenn es noch immer keine Reaktion gibt, kontaktieren Sie bitte die Kundenbetreuung.

8. Gehen Sie auf “OFF” (AUS), um den Testmodus zu beenden. Der Testmodus

schaltet auch nach 30 Sekunden ab und kehrt zum normalen Betrieb zurück.

Verwendung des Antibellhalsband

mit Vibrations

Wichtig: Lassen Sie Ihren Hund die ersten Male, wenn er eine Vibrationsstimu-

lierung erhält, nicht alleine.

Legen Sie Ihrem Hund das Antibellhalsband richtig an und warten Sie in der Nähe, bis er bellt. Die meisten Hunde verstehen sehr schnell, dass das Antibellhalsband ihren Drang zum Bellen unterbricht und werden sich entspannen und mit dem Bellen aufhören. Da die Vibrationsstimulierung durch das Antibellhalsband zuerst überraschend und erschreckend sein kann, bellen manche Hunde bei der anfänglichen Stimulierung möglicherweise mehr.

In seltenen Fällen gerät ein Hund möglicherweise in einen Bell-StimulierungBell-Stimulierung-Kreislauf. In diesem Fall beruhigen Sie Ihren Hund mit ruhiger, besänftigender Stimme. Wenn sich Ihr Hund entspannt, wird er verstehen, dass er, wenn er ruhig wird, keine Vibrationsstimulierungen mehr erhält. Die kleine Minderheit an Hunden, die diese Reaktion zeigen, werden diese nur beim ersten Tragen des Antibellhalsbands an den Tag legen.

Sie sollten in den ersten Tagen, wenn Ihr Hund das Antibellhalsband trägt, eine Reduzierung des Bellens bei Ihrem Hund bemerken. An diesem Punkt sollte nicht vergessen werden, dass der Lernprozess nicht abgeschlossen ist. Hunde "testen" diese neue Lernerfahrung und versuchen, vermehrt zu bellen. Das geschieht meist in der zweiten Woche, wenn ein Hund das Antibellhalsband trägt. Tritt das nicht ein, bleiben Sie konsistent und ändern die Verwendung des Antibellhalsbands nicht. Sie müssen Ihrem Hund das Antibellhalsband in jeder Situation anlegen, in der Sie von ihm erwarten, still zu sein. Wenn Ihr Hund das Antibellhalsband nicht trägt, fängt er vielleicht wieder zu bellen an und sein Training wird einen Rückfall erleiden.
