memorable moments together. Your new pet door is designed to protect your home from extreme temperatures while
giving your pet the freedom to come and go.

We know that safe pets make happy owners. Before getting started, please take a moment to read through the
important safety information. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Explanation of attention words and symbols used in this product manual

This is the safety alert symbol. It is used to alert you to potential personal injury hazards. Obey all
safety messages that follow this symbol to avoid possible injury or death.

WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result
in death or serious injury.

CAUTION, used with the safety alert symbol, indicates a hazardous situation

• When children are present in the home, it is important to consider the pet door while childproofing. The pet
door may be misused, potentially giving children access to hazards that may be on the other side of the pet
door. Owners with swimming pools should ensure that children are monitored at all times and that the swimming
pool has adequate barriers to entry. If a new hazard is created inside or outside of your home, which may be
accessed through the pet door, Radio Systems Corporation recommends that you properly guard access to the
hazard or remove the pet door. The closing panel or lock, if applicable, is provided for aesthetic and energy
efficiency purposes and is not intended as a security device. Radio Systems Corporation will not be liable
for unintended use, and the owner of this product accepts full responsibility for oversight of the opening that
it creates.

• To avoid risk of severe injury, follow all safety instructions for your power tools, and wear safety glasses
during use.

• The user, prior to installation, must become familiar with all building regulations that may affect the installation
of the pet door and determine, along with a licensed contractor, its suitability in a given installation. This pet door
is not a fire door. It is important for the owner and contractor to consider any risks that may be present inside
or outside of the pet door and any risks that may be created by subsequent changes to the property and how
they may relate to the existence and use, including misuse, of the pet door.

• If cutting a metal surface, be aware of sharp edges to prevent injury.

• Keep these instructions, and ensure that they are transferred to any new owner of the property.

• If the mounting surface (door, wall, etc.) is not level, the pet door must still be installed level to swing properly.

• When applying the cutting template, there should be a minimum of 3 inches (8 centimetres) between the bottom
and sides of the door and the outer edge of the template to maintain the structural integrity of the door.

• Use a manual screwdriver to tighten screws. Do not overtighten. Overtightening can strip the screws or warp the
pet door frame.

NOTE: Although the instructions in this guide explain how to install the pet door in a door, it can also be installed in
most walls; the installation procedure is the same. The pet door is not designed to be installed in glass. If installing
the pet door in a door or wall with a thickness of:

• More than 2 inches (51 millimetres), you may need additional tools and materials, such as wood framing.

• Less than 1 1/2 inches (38 millimetres), you will need to purchase an Installation Adaptor. Visit www.petsafe.com

Mark the pet door location

1. Measure and mark your pet’s shoulder height on the inside of the door where you will install the pet door (A).

2. Using a level, draw a vertical line where you want the center/centre of the pet door to be located (B).

The pet door must be level to swing properly.

Prepare the door

3. If possible, remove the door from its hinges (C) and place it on a raised level surface, such as two saw
horses (D). The interior side of the door should face up. Make sure there is nothing underneath the door where
you will cut the opening for the pet door.

If necessary, you can install the pet door without removing the door from its hinges.

4. Cut out the correct size cutting template for your pet door.

5. Tape the cutting template to the interior side of the door, matching the shoulder and center/centre lines on the
template with the shoulder and center/centre lines you drew previously (E).

Make sure there is a minimum of 3 inches (8 centimetres) between the outer edge of the cutting template and
the bottom and sides of the door to maintain the structural integrity of the door.

6. Trace the outside edge of the cutting template, making sure to connect the corners.

7. Remove the cutting template and any excess tape from the door.

Cut the pet door opening

NOTE: When drilling holes and cutting the opening for the pet door, wear safety glasses and make sure to hold the
drill and jigsaw with both hands and at a 90-degree angle to the door.

8. Drill 1/2-inch (12-millimetre) holes just inside the corners of the drawn template (F).

These will be the pilot holes for the saw blade.

9. Cut between the holes you just drilled, along the drawn template lines (G).

10. Place the interior frame (the frame with one flap) in the opening and mark the screw holes (four holes for the

medium and large pet doors, six holes for the x-large pet door) (H).

11. Remove the frame and drill 1/4-inch (7-millimetre) holes in the marked locations (I).

Install the pet door

NOTE: If you purchased an Installation Adaptor, place the installation adaptor plates on the interior and exterior

frames of the pet door before installation. The Installation Adaptor is necessary only if you are installing the pet door
in a door less than 1 1/2 inches (38 millimetres) thick. For more details, please contact Customer Care.

12. Place the interior frame (the frame with one flap) in the
opening on the interior side of the door (J).

13. Place the exterior frame (the frame with two flaps) in the
opening on the exterior side of the door.

14. Insert screws through the holes in the interior and
exterior frames and match screw sleeves to the end of
each screw.

NOTE: The pet door comes with both metal and nylon
screws; use whichever you prefer. The nylon screws are
flexible and can be easily trimmed for a perfect fit with
any door thickness.

15. Tighten the screws until the frames come together and
the screw sleeves are flush with the exterior frame.

Use a manual screwdriver to tighten screws. Do not overtighten. Overtightening can strip the screws or warp
the pet door frame.

16. If using nylon screws, cut off the excess screw length with wire cutters and remove any rough edges with
a metal file.

17. For best weather resistance, caulk around the exterior frame and inside the threshold where the frames meet.

18. If you removed your door from its hinges, rehang it now.

Train your pet

19. Lift the flaps or tape them open as you use praise and treats
to encourage your pet to go through the pet door (K).

It may help if you are on one side of the door and your pet is on
the other. Do not force your pet through the pet door.

20. After your pet has gone through the pet door a few times, allow
the flaps to touch your pet’s back so he will become comfortable
using the pet door on his own.

Use the closing panel

The closing panel is useful during inclement weather, or to prevent your pet from using the pet door at certain times.
To use the closing panel, slide it into the grooves at each side of the pet door

frame (L). Pull and release the latch to lock it in place.
To remove, pull the latch and slide the closing panel up and off the pet

door frame.
You can use an additional closing panel (sold separately) on the exterior

frame of the pet door for improved weather resistance.

Adjust or replace the flaps

The pet door’s vinyl flaps may shrink or expand due to seasonal weather
changes. Replace or adjust the flaps when necessary for maximum
energy efficiency.

Vinyl flap replacement

1. Remove the flap screws from the top of the pet door frame (N).

2. Remove the vinyl flap and the flap clamp (O). On the exterior frame,

the insulated flap is attached to the flap clamp.

3. Insert the new vinyl flap between the pet door frame and the flap clamp.
The PetSafe® logo should be readable on the vinyl flap.

4. Reinsert and partially tighten the screws.

5. Adjust the vinyl flap horizontally and vertically so it is centered/centred in the pet door frame and the magnets
on the flap and frame make contact (P).

6. Tighten the screws.

1. Slightly loosen the flap screws at the top of the pet door frame (N).

2. Adjust the vinyl flap horizontally and vertically so it is centered/centred in the pet door frame, and the magnets
on the flap and frame make contact (P).

1. Terms of use

The use of this product is subject to your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions and notices
contained with this product. Use of this product implies acceptance of all such terms, conditions and notices.
If you do not wish to accept these terms, conditions and notices, please return the product, unused, in its
original packaging and at your own cost and risk to the relevant Customer Care location together with proof
of purchase for a full refund.

2. Proper use

Proper use includes, without limitation, reviewing the entire product manual and any specific safety information
statements. The specific temperament or size/weight of your pet may not be suitable for this product. If you
are unsure whether this product is appropriate for your pet, please consult your veterinarian or certified trainer
prior to use. For products used with pets where training is desired, Radio Systems Corporation recommends that
these training products are not used if your pet is aggressive and accepts no liability for determining suitability
in individual cases.

3. No unlawful or prohibited use

This product is designed for use with pets only. This product is not intended to harm, injure or provoke. Using this
product in a way that is not intended could result in violation of Federal, State or local laws.

4. Limitation of liability

In no event shall Radio Systems Corporation or any of its associated companies be liable for (i) any direct,
indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damage and/or (ii) any loss or damages whatsoever
arising out of or connected with the use or misuse of this product. The Purchaser assumes all risks and liability
from the use of this product to the fullest extent permissible by law.

5. Modification of terms and conditions

Radio Systems Corporation reserves the right to change the terms, conditions and notices governing this product
from time to time. If such changes have been notified to you prior to your use of this product, they shall be binding
on you as if incorporated herein.

This product has the benefit of a non-transferable limited one-year (United States) or three-year (Canada, Europe,
Australia/New Zealand) manufacturer’s warranty. Complete details of the warranty applicable to this product and

Australia/New Zealand: In compliance with the Australian Consumer Law, Warranties Against Defects,

effective January 1, 2012, warranty details of this Product are as follows: Radio Systems Australia Pty Ltd.
(hereinafter referred to as “Radio Systems”) warrants to the original retail purchaser, and not any other purchaser
or subsequent owner, that its Product, when subject to normal and proper residential use, will be free from defects
in material or workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the purchase date. An “original retail consumer
purchaser” is a person or entity who originally purchases the Product, or a gift recipient of a new Product that is
unopened and in its original packaging. When serviced by Radio Systems Customer Service, Radio Systems covers
labour and parts for the first three years of ownership; after the first three years, a service or upgrade charge will
apply relative to replacement of the Product with new or refurbished items at Radio Systems’ sole discretion.

The limited warranty is non-transferable and shall automatically terminate if the original retail consumer purchaser
resells the Radio Systems Product or transfers the property on which the Radio Systems Product is installed.
This Limited warranty excludes accidental damage due to dog chews; lightning damage; or neglect, alteration, and
misuse. Consumers who purchase products outside of Australia, New Zealand, or from an unauthorised dealer will
need to return the Product to the original place of purchase for any warranty issues.

Please note that Radio Systems does not provide refunds, replacements, or upgrades for change of mind, or for any
other reason outside of these Warranty terms.

To file a claim, a proof of purchase must be provided. Without a proof of purchase, Radio Systems will not repair
or replace faulty components. Radio Systems requests the Consumer to contact the Radio Systems Customer Care
Centre to obtain a Warranty Return number, prior to sending the Product. Failure to do so may delay in the repair
or replacement of the Product.

If the Product is deemed to be faulty within 30 days from date of original purchase, Radio Systems will organise
for a replacement to be sent in advance of returning the faulty Product. A Post Bag will be included with the
replacement Product for the return of the faulty Product. The Product must be returned within 7 days of receiving the
replacement. If the Product is deemed to be faulty after 30 days from the date of original purchase, the consumer
will be required to return the Product to Radio Systems at the consumer’s own expense. Radio Systems will test and
replace the faulty device or its components and return to the consumer free of charge, provided the Product is within
its said warranty period. This warranty is in addition to other rights and remedies available to you under the law.
Radio Systems goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australia Consumer Law. You are
entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable
loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable
quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

REMARQUE : bien que les instructions dans ce guide expliquent comment installer la porte pour animaux dans
une porte, elle peut également être intallée dans la plupart des murs ; la procédure de montage est la même.
La porte pour animaux n'est pas conçue pour être installée dans du verre. Lors de l'installation de la porte pour
animaux dans une porte ou d'un mur d'une épaisseur de :

• Plus de 51 millimètres, vous aurez besoin d'outils et de matétiel supplémentaires, par exemple un cadre en bois.

Marquer l'emplacement de la porte pour animaux

1. Mesurez et marquez la hauteur d'épaule de votre animal de compagnie sur le côté intérieur de la porte dans

laquelle vous installerez la porte pour animaux (A).

2. En utilisant un niveau, dessinez une ligne verticale à l'endroit où vous souhaité que le centre de la porte pour

animaux se trouve (B).

La porte pour animaux doit être droite pour pouvoir balancer correctement.

3. Si possible, retirez la porte de ses charnières (C) et placez-la sur une surface surélevée, telle que deux
tréteaux (D). L'intérieur de la porte doit être dirigé vers le haut. Assurez-vous qu'il n'y a rien sous la porte à
l'endroit où vous découperez l'ouverture pour la porte pour animaux.

Si nécessaire, vous pouvez installer la porte pour animaux sans retirer la porte de ses charnières.

4. Découpez le gabarit de découpe pour votre porte pour animaux à la taille correcte.

5. Fixez le gabarit de découpe, à l'aide de bande de masquage ou de ruban adhésif de peintre, sur l'intérieur de
la porte, en faisant correspondre les lignes du centre et de l'épaule du gabarit avec les lignes du centre et de
l'épaule que vous avez dessinées précedemment (E).

Vérifiez qu'il y a un espace minimum de 8 centimètres entre le bord extérieur du gabarit de découpe et le
bas et les côtés de la porte pour maintenir l'intégrité structurale de la porte.

6. Tracez le bord extérieur du gabarit de découpe en veillant à relier les coins.

7. Retirez le gabarit de découpe et la bande de masquage ou le ruban adhésif de peintre en excès de la porte.

Découper l'ouverture de la porte pour animaux

REMARQUE : lorsque vous percez les trous et découpez l'ouverture pour la porte pour animaux, portez des

lunettes de sécurité et assurez-vous de tenir la perceuse et la scie sauteuse avec les deux mains à un angle de
90 degrès par rapport à la porte.

8. Percez des trous de 12 millimètres exactement à l'intérieur des coins du gabarit tracé (F).

Ces derniers seront les trous de guidage pour la lame de la scie.

9. Coupez entre les trous que venez de percez, en suivant les lignes du gabarit tracées (G).

10. Placez le cadre intérieur (le cadre avec un volet) dans l'ouverture et marquez les trous de vissage (quatre trous
pour les portes pour animaux d'animaux de taille moyenne et grande, six troux pour la porte pour animaux de
très grande taille) (H).

11. Retirez le cadre et percez des trous de 7 millimètres aux endroits marqués (I).

Installer la porte pour animaux

REMARQUE : si vous avez acheté un adaptateur de montage, placez les plaques de l'adaptateur de montage sur
les cadres intérieur et extérieur de la porte pour animaux avant l'installation. L'adaptateur de montage est nécessaire
si vous installez la porte pour animaux dans une porte de moins de 38 millimètres d'épaisseur. Pour plus de détails,
veuillez contacter le service clientèle.

12. Placez le cadre intérieur (le cadre avec un volet) dans

l'ouverture sur l'intérieur de la porte (J).

13. Placez le cadre extérieur (le cadre avec deux volets)
dans l'ouverture sur l'extérieur de la porte.

14. Insérez les vis à l'intérieur des trous dans les cadres
intérieur et extérieur et enfilez les manchons de vis
jusqu'à l'extrémité de chaque vis.

REMARQUE : la porte pour animaux est livrée avec
des vis en métal et en nylon ; utilisez celles que vous
préférez. Les vis en nylon sont flexibles et peuvent
facilement être coupées pour s'ajuster parfaitement
à chaque épaisseur de porte.

15. Serrez les vis jusqu'à ce que les cadres soient
assemblés et que les manchons de vis soient
au même niveau que le cadre extérieur.

Utilisez un tournevis manuel pour serrer les vis. Ne les serrez pas excessivement. Un serrage excessif peut
abîmer les vis ou déformer le cadre de la porte pour animaux.

16. Si vous utilisez les vis en nylon, coupez la longeur excessive de la vis avec une pince coupante et retirez les
bords rugueux à l'aide d'un fil métallique.

17. Pour une meilleure résistance aux intempéries, calfeutrez le cadre extérieur et l'intérieur du seuil où les cadres
se rejoignent.

18. Si vous avez retiré la porte des charnières, raccrochez-la maintenant.

Dresser votre animal de compagnie

19. Soulevez les volets ou fixez-les à l'aide de ruban adhésif et
encouragez votre animal de compagnie à passer à travers
la porte pour animaux en le félicitant et en lui offrant des
friandises (K).

Vous trouver d'un côté de la porte et votre animal de compagnie
de l'autre peut rendre l'apprentissage plus facile. Ne forcez
pas votre animal de compagnie en le poussant à travers la
porte animalière.

20. Une fois que votre animal de compagnie est passé quelques fois
à travers la porte pour animaux, laissez les volets toucher le dos
de votre animal de compagnie. Il deviendra ainsi à l'aise pour
utiliser la porte pour animaux par lui-même.

Utiliser le panneau de fermeture

Le panneau de fermeture est utile en cas de mauvais temps ou pour empêcher votre animal de compagnie d'utiliser
la porte pour animaux à certains moments.

Pour utiliser le panneau de fermeture, glissez-le dans les rainures de chaque
côté du cadre de la porte pour animaux (L). Tirez et relâchez le loquet pour
le verrouiller en place.

Pour le retirer, tirez le loquet et glissez le panneau de fermeture vers le haut
en-dehors du cadre de la porte pour animaux.

Vous pouvez ajouter un panneau de fermeture supplémentaire (vendu
séparément) sur le cadre extérieur de la porte de la porte pour animaux
pour une résistance accrue aux intempéries.

Ajuster ou remplacer les volets

Il est possible que les volets en vinyle de la porte pour animaux rétrecissent
ou s'agrandissent en raison des changements de température saisonniers.
Remplacez ou ajustez les volets quand il est nécessaire pour optimiser

1. Retirez les vis du volet du haut du cadre de la porte pour animaux (N).

• Als er kinderen in huis aanwezig zijn, dient u rekening te houden met het huisdierluik wanneer u het huis

kinderveilig maakt. Het huisdierluik kan mogelijk door kinderen worden gebruikt, waardoor ze worden
blootgesteld aan gevaren aan de andere kant van het luik. Eigenaren met een zwembad dienen ervoor te
zorgen dat kinderen te allen tijde in de gaten worden gehouden en dat de toegang tot het zwembad is voorzien
van een geschikte afsluiting. Als er in of buiten uw huis een nieuwe gevaarlijke situatie ontstaat die toegankelijk is
via het huisdierluik, beveelt Radio Systems Corporation u aan de toegang tot de gevaarlijke situatie te bewaken

OPMERKING: Hoewel in de instructies in deze handleiding wordt uitgelegd hoe u het huisdierluik installeert in

De locatie van het huisdierluik markeren

ENFRNLESITDE

1. Meet en markeer de schouderhoogte van uw huisdier op de binnenkant van de deur waarin u het huisdierluik

installeert (A).

2. Teken met behulp van een waterpas een verticale lijn waar het midden van het huisdierluik moet komen (B).

Het huisdierluik moet waterpas worden geplaatst om correct te kunnen schommelen.

Het luik voorbereiden

3. Haal de deur zo mogelijk uit de scharnieren (C) en leg deze op een verhoogd horizontaal vlak, zoals twee
schragen (D). De binnenkant van de deur moet omhoog zijn gericht. Zorg dat zich niets onder de deur bevindt
wanneer u de opening voor het huisdierluik eruitzaagt.

Zo nodig kunt u het huisdierluik installeren zonder de deur uit de scharnieren te halen.

4. Knip een zaagsjabloon met de juiste maat voor uw huisdierluik.

5. Plak de sjabloon op de binnenkant van de deur, waarbij u de schouder- en middenlijnen op de sjabloon uitlijnt
met de schouder- en middenlijnen die u eerder hebt getekend (E).

Zorg dat u ten minste 8 centimeter overlaat tussen de buitenkant van de sjabloon en de onderkant en de
zijkanten van het luik om te zorgen dat de structuur van het luik intact blijft.

6. Teken langs de omtrek van de sjabloon, waarbij u ervoor zorgt dat u de hoeken met elkaar verbindt.

7. Verwijder de sjabloon en tape van de deur.

De opening voor het huisdierluik zagen

OPMERKING: Draag een veiligheidsbril wanneer u gaten boort en de opening voor het huisdierluik zaagt en

zorg dat u de boor en de zaag met beiden handen vasthoudt in een hoek van 90 graden ten opzichte van de deur.

8. Boor gaten van 12 millimeter net binnen de hoeken van de getekende sjabloon (F).

Dit zijn de voorboorgaten voor het zaagblad.

9. Zaag tussen de zojuist geboorde gaten, langs de getekende sjabloonlijnen (G).

10. Plaats het binnenframe (het frame met één flap) in de opening en markeer de schroefgaten (vier gaten voor

middelgrote en grote huisdierluiken, zes gaten voor het extra grote luik) (H).

11. Verwijder het frame en boor gaten van 7 millimeter op de gemarkeerde locaties (I).

Het huisdierluik installeren

ENFRNLESITDE

OPMERKING: Als u een installatie-adapter hebt gekocht, plaatst u de platen van de installatie-adapter
vóór installatie op het binnen- en buitenframe van het huisdierluik. De installatie-adapter is alleen nodig als
u het huisdierluik installeert in een deur van minder dan 38 millimeter dik. Neem voor meer informatie contact op
met de klantenservice.

12. Plaats het binnenframe (het frame met één flap) in de
opening aan de binnenkant van de deur (J).

13. Plaats het buitenframe (het frame met twee flappen) in
de opening aan de buitenkant van de deur.

14. Steek schroeven door de gaten in het binnen­en buitenframe en plaats een schroefhuls op het
uiteinde van elke schroef.

OPMERKING: Het huisdierluik wordt geleverd met
metalen en nylon schroeven. Gebruik de gewenste
versie. De nylon schroeven zijn flexibel en kunnen
eenvoudig worden bijgesneden en aan elke deurdikte
worden aangepast.

15. Draai de schroeven aan totdat de frames bij
elkaar komen en de schroefhulzen niet uit het
buitenframe uitsteken.

Gebruik een handschroevendraaier om schroeven aan te draaien. Draai ze niet te strak vast. Hierdoor
kunnen de schroeven schilferen of kan het frame van het huisdierluik vervormd raken.

16. Als u nylon schroeven gebruikt, kunt u de schroeven bijknippen met een zijkniptang en eventuele ruwe randjes
bijvijlen met een metalen vijl.

17. Voor de beste weerbestendigheid brengt u kit aan rond het buitenframe en op de plek waar de frames bij
elkaar komen.

18. Als u de deur uit de scharnieren hebt gehaald, hangt u deze nu terug.

Uw huisdier trainen

19. Til de flappen omhoog of plak ze vast terwijl u uw huisdier met
behulp van complimenten en beloningen aanmoedigt om door
het luik te lopen (K).

Het kan helpen als u zich aan de ene kant van de deur bevindt
en uw huisdier aan de andere kant. Duw uw huisdier niet door
het huisdierluik.

20. Nadat uw huisdier enkele malen door het luik is gelopen, zorgt
u dat de flappen de rug van uw huisdier raken, zodat hij eraan
gewend raakt het luik in zijn eentje te gebruiken.

Het sluitingspaneel gebruiken

U kunt het sluitingspaneel gebruiken bij koud weer of om te voorkomen dat uw huisdier het luik op bepaalde
momenten gebruikt.

U gebruikt het sluitingspaneel door dit in de groeven aan weerszijden van
het frame van het huisdierluik te schuiven (L). Trek aan de vergrendeling en
laat deze weer los om het paneel te vergrendelen.

Als u het paneel wilt verwijderen, trekt u aan de vergrendeling en schuift u het
paneel omhoog van het frame van het luik af.

U kunt een extra sluitingspaneel (apart verkrijgbaar) gebruiken voor het
buitenframe van het huisdierluik voor een nog betere weerbestendigheid.

De flappen aanpassen of vervangen

De vinyl flappen van het huisdierluik kunnen krimpen of uitzetten,
afhankelijk van de weersveranderingen. U kunt de flappen zo nodig
vervangen of aanpassen voor een maximale energiezuinigheid.

Een vinyl flap vervangen

1. Verwijder de schroeven van de flap uit de bovenkant van het frame van

het huisdierluik (N).

2. Verwijder de vinyl flap en de flapklem (O). De geïsoleerde flap aan het buitenframe is bevestigd aan

de flapklem.

3. Plaats de nieuwe vinyl flap tussen het frame van het huisdierluik en de flapklem. Het PetSafe®-logo op de vinyl
flap moet leesbaar zijn.

4. Plaats de schroeven terug en draai ze gedeeltelijk aan.

5. Pas de vinyl flap horizontaal en verticaal aan, zodat deze zich in het midden van het frame van het luik bevindt
en de magneten op de flap en het frame contact maken (P).

6. Draai de schroeven aan.

en alle veiligheidsinformatie leest en opvolgt. Dit product is mogelijk niet geschikt voor het specifieke
karakter, de grootte of het gewicht van uw huisdier. Als u niet zeker weer of dit product geschikt is voor uw
huisdier, verzoeken we u vóór gebruik contact op te nemen met uw dierenarts of een gediplomeerd trainer.
Radio Systems Corporation raadt aan om producten bedoeld voor het trainen van huisdieren niet te gebruiken
als uw huisdier agressief is en is er in individuele gevallen niet verantwoordelijk voor vast te stellen of het luik
geschikt is voor uw huisdier.

3. Geen onwettelijk of verboden gebruik

Dit product is alleen ontworpen voor gebruik met huisdieren. Dit product is niet bedoeld om schade of letsel toe
te brengen of uit te lokken. Oneigenlijk gebruik van dit product kan ertoe leiden dat u federale, staats- of lokale
wetgeving overtreedt.

4. Beperking van aansprakelijkheid

Radio Systems Corporation en gelieerde ondernemingen kunnen in geen geval aansprakelijk worden gesteld
voor (i) enige directe, indirecte, geldelijke, bijkomende of bijzondere schade of gevolgschade en/of (ii) verlies

Marque la ubicación de la puerta para mascotas

3. Si es posible, retire la puerta de sus bisagras (C) y colóquela en una superficie nivelada elevada, como dos
caballetes (D). El lado interior de la puerta debe estar hacia arriba. Asegúrese de que no haya nada debajo

solo si se va a instalar la puerta para mascotas en una puerta de menos de 38 milímetros de espesor. Para

12. Coloque el marco interior (el marco con un batiente)
en la abertura del lado interior de la puerta (J).

13. Coloque el marco exterior (el marco con dos batientes)
en la abertura del lado exterior de la puerta.

14. Inserte los tornillos a través de los agujeros en los
marcos interior y exterior y haga coincidir las camisas
de los tornillos con el extremo de cada tornillo.

NOTA: La puerta para mascotas viene con tornillos
de metal y nailon; utilice los que prefiera. Los tornillos
de nailon son flexibles y se pueden recortar fácilmente

15. Apriete los tornillos hasta que los marcos se unan
y las cabezas de los tornillos queden al ras del
marco exterior.

Use un destornillador manual para apretar los tornillos. No los apriete demasiado. Si lo hace, puede hacer
que los tornillos se pasen de rosca o deformar el marco de la puerta para mascotas.

16. Si usa tornillos de nailon, corte el exceso de longitud del tornillo con un cortador de alambre y quite los
bordes ásperos con una lima de metal.

17. Para una mejor resistencia a la intemperie, ponga masilla alrededor del marco exterior y dentro del umbral
donde se encuentran los marcos.

18. Si quitó la puerta de sus bisagras, colóquela ahora.

Entrene a su mascota

19. Levante los batientes o péguelos con cinta adhesiva mientras usa
elogios y golosinas para alentar a su mascota a pasar por la
puerta para mascotas (K).

Puede ser útil si está a un lado de la puerta y su mascota está
al otro. No fuerce a su mascota a pasar a través de la puerta
para mascotas.

20. Una vez que su mascota haya pasado por la puerta para
mascotas varias veces, permita que los batientes toquen la
espalda de su mascota para que se sienta cómoda usando
la puerta para mascotas por su cuenta.

Utilizar la placa de cierre

La placa de cierre es útil durante las inclemencias del tiempo o para evitar que su mascota use la puerta para
mascotas en ciertos momentos.

Para usar la placa de cierre, deslícela dentro de las ranuras a cada lado del
marco de la puerta para mascotas (L). Tire del pestillo y suéltelo para fijarlo

Para retirarla, tire del pestillo y deslice la placa de cierre hacia arriba y
hacia afuera del marco de la puerta para mascotas.

Puede usar una placa de cierre adicional (se vende por separado) en el
marco exterior de la puerta para mascotas para mejorar la resistencia a

Ajustar o sustituir los batientes

Los batientes de vinilo de la puerta para mascotas pueden encogerse
o expandirse debido a los cambios climáticos estacionales. Sustituya

è necessaria solo per stai installando una porta per animali domestici su una porta spessa meno di 38 millimetri.

12. Colloca la struttura interna (con una gattaiola)
nell'apertura sul lato interno della porta (J).

13. Colloca la struttura esterna (con due gattaiole)
nell'apertura sul lato esterno della porta.

14. Inserisci le viti nei fori sulla struttura interna e su quella
esterna e colloca le guaine per le viti sull'estremità
di ogni vite.

NOTA: La porta per animali domestici include viti
sia in metallo che in nailon, usa quelle che preferisci.
Le viti in nailon sono flessibili e possono essere rifinite
facilmente per ottenere la dimensione ideale per
qualsiasi spessore della porta.

15. Stringi le viti fino a quando le strutture non sono unite
e le guaine delle viti sono a filo con la struttura esterna.

Utilizza un cacciavite per stringere le viti. Non stringere eccessivamente. Una stretta eccessiva potrebbe
strappare le viti o deformare la struttura della porta.

16. Se usi viti di nailon, taglia la lunghezza in eccesso dalla vite con un tronchese e smussa i bordi irregolari con
un inserto in metallo.

17. Per una migliore resistenza agli agenti atmosferici, stucca intorno alla struttura esterna e all'interno del limite
in cui si incontrano le strutture.

18. Se hai rimosso la porta dai cardini, adesso riattaccala.

Puoi usare un pannello di chiusura aggiuntivo (venduto separatamente) per

und unten ein Mindestabstand von 8 cm einzuhalten, um die strukturelle Integrität der Tür aufrechtzuerhalten.

• Ziehen Sie die Schrauben von Hand mit einem Schraubendreher an. Achten Sie darauf, die Schrauben nicht
zu überdrehen. Ein Überdrehen kann zur Beschädigung des Gewindes oder zum Verziehen des Rahmens der

wird, kann die Haustiertür auch in die meisten Wände eingebaut werden. Das Einbauverfahren bleibt gleich.
Die Haustiertür ist nicht für den Einbau in Glas geeignet. Beim Einbau der Haustiertür in eine Tür oder Wand
mit einer Dicke von:

• Über 51 mm kann zusätzliches Werkzeug und Material, z. B. ein Holzrahmen, erforderlich sein;

Position der Haustiertür markieren

ENFRNLESITDE

1. Messen Sie die Schulterhöhe Ihres Haustiers und markieren Sie diese an der Innenseite der Tür, in die Sie die

Haustiertür einbauen (A).

2. Ziehen Sie mithilfe einer Wasserwaage eine vertikale Linie als Mittellinie für die Position der Haustiertür (B).

Die Haustiertür muss eben eingebaut werden, um ordnungsgemäß schwingen zu können.

3. Hängen Sie die Tür nach Möglichkeit aus (C), und legen Sie sie flach auf eine erhöhte Unterlage, wie etwa
zwei Böcken (D). Die Innenseite der Tür sollte nach oben zeigen. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Bereich unterhalb
der Tür, in den Sie die Öffnung für die Haustiertür schneiden, frei ist.

Sie können die Haustiertür bei Bedarf auch einbauen, ohne die Tür auszuhängen.

4. Schneiden Sie die Schneideschablone für die Haustiertür in der richtigen Größe aus.

5. Befestigen Sie die Schneideschablone mit Klebeband an der Innenseite der Tür. Richten Sie die Oberkante und
die Mittellinie der Schablone an den zuvor angezeichneten Linien für die Schulterhöhe und die Mittellinie aus (E).

Achten Sie darauf, zwischen den Türkanten und den Außenrändern der Schneideschablone seitlich und
unten einen Mindestabstand von 8 cm einzuhalten, um die strukturelle Integrität der Tür aufrechtzuerhalten.

6. Ziehen Sie mit dem Bleistift die Außenränder der Schneideschablone nach. Achten Sie darauf, die Ecken
genau einzuzeichnen.

7. Entfernen Sie die Schneideschablone und jegliches Klebeband von der Tür.

Öffnung für Haustiertür ausschneiden

HINWEIS: Tragen Sie beim Bohren der Löcher und beim Ausschneiden der Öffnung für die Haustiertür eine

Schutzbrille. Achten Sie außerdem darauf, den Bohrer und die Stichsäge während der Arbeit mit beiden Händen
und in einem 90-Grad-Winkel zur Tür zu halten.

8. Bohren Sie direkt innerhalb der Ecken der angezeichneten Schablone mit dem 12 mm großen Bohrer

Löcher (F).

Dies sind die Vorbohrungen für das Sägeblatt.

9. Schneiden Sie mit der Stichsäge entlang der angezeichneten Schablonenlinien zwischen den Bohrungen (G).

10. Platzieren Sie den Innenrahmen (den Rahmen ohne Klappe) in der Öffnung, und markieren Sie die
Schraubenlöcher (vier Bohrungen für die mittlere und große Haustiertür, sechs Bohrungen für die sehr
große Haustiertür) (H).

11. Entfernen Sie den Rahmen, und bohren Sie an den markierten Stellen mit dem 7 mm großen Bohrer Löcher (I).

Haustiertür einbauen

ENFRNLESITDE

HINWEIS: Wenn Sie einen Einbauadapter haben, platzieren Sie die Platten des Einbauadapters vor dem Einbau
der Haustiertür an deren Innen- und Außenrahmen. Der Einbauadapter ist nur erforderlich, wenn Sie die Haustiertür
in einer Tür unter 38 mm Dicke einbauen. Weitere Informationen erhalten Sie bei der Kundenbetreuung.

12. Platzieren Sie den Innenrahmen (den Rahmen ohne

Klappe) auf der Innenseite der Tür in der Öffnung (J).

13. Platzieren Sie den Außenrahmen (den Rahmen mit
Klappe) auf der Außenseite der Tür in der Öffnung.

14. Stecken Sie die Schrauben durch den Innen- und
Außenrahmen, und bringen Sie die Schraubenhülsen
an den Schraubenenden an.

HINWEIS: Sie können für die Haustiertür zwischen
Metall- und Nylonschrauben wählen (beide im
Lieferumfang enthalten). Die Nylonschrauben
lassen sich einfach und flexibel auf die jeweilige
Türdicke kürzen.

15. Ziehen Sie die Schrauben an, sodass die Rahmen
zusammengezogen werden und die Schraubenhülsen
mit dem Außenrahmen bündig sind.

Ziehen Sie die Schrauben von Hand mit einem Schraubendreher an. Achten Sie darauf, die Schrauben nicht
zu überdrehen. Ein Überdrehen kann zur Beschädigung des Gewindes oder zum Verziehen des Rahmens
der Haustiertür führen.

16. Kürzen Sie bei Verwendung von Nylonschrauben die überstehende Schraubenlänge mit einem Drahtschneider,
und feilen Sie etwaige grobe Kanten mit einer Metallfeile glatt.

17. Um eine optimale Witterungsbeständigkeit zu erzielen, dichten Sie den Außenrahmen und die Innenseite der
Stoßnaht der beiden Rahmen mit Fugenmasse ab.

18. Wenn Sie die Tür ausgehängt haben, hängen Sie sie wieder ein.

Ihr Haustier trainieren

19. Heben Sie die Klappen an oder halten Sie sie mit Klebeband
offen, während Sie Ihr Haustier mit Loben und Leckerlies
animieren, durch die Haustiertür zu gehen (K).

Es kann hilfreich sein, wenn Sie sich auf der gegenüberliegenden
Türseite zu Ihrem Haustier befinden. Versuchen Sie nicht,
Ihr Haustier mit Zwang durch die Haustier Tür zu bewegen.

20. Nachdem Ihr Haustier mehrmals durch die Haustiertür gegangen
ist, lassen Sie die Klappen sanft den Rücken Ihres Haustiers
berühren, damit es sich an das Gefühl gewöhnt, die Haustiertür
eigenständig zu nutzen.

Verschlussplatte einsetzen

Die Verschlussplatte ist bei schlechtem Wetter nützlich oder um die Haustiertür zu bestimmten Zeiten zu verschließen.
Schieben Sie die Verschlussplatte einfach in die Führungen auf beiden Seiten

des Haustier-Türrahmens (L). Lassen Sie die Verriegelung durch kurzes Ziehen
und wieder Loslassen einrasten.

Zum Entfernen der Verschlussplatte ziehen Sie an der Verriegelung und
schieben die Verschlussplatte nach oben aus dem Haustier-Türrahmen.

Für erhöhte Witterungsbeständigkeit können Sie am Außenrahmen der
Haustiertür eine zusätzliche Verschlussplatte (separat erhältlich) anbringen.

Klappen einstellen oder auswechseln

Die Vinylklappen der Haustiertür können durch saisonal bedingte
Witterungsänderungen schrumpfen oder sich ausdehnen. Um die
Energieeffizienz zu maximieren, können Sie die Klappen bei Bedarf
auswechseln oder einstellen.

Vinylklappe auswechseln

1. Entfernen Sie die Schrauben der Klappe am oberen Rahmen des

Haustier-Türrahmens (N).

2. Entfernen Sie die Vinylklappe und die Klappenhalterung (O). Die isolierte Klappe am Außenrahmen ist mit der

Klappenhalterung verbunden.

3. Setzen Sie die neue Vinylklappe zwischen dem Haustier-Türrahmen und der Klappenhalterung ein.
Das PetSafe®-Logo sollte auf der Vinylklappe lesbar sein.

4. Setzen Sie die Schrauben wieder ein, und ziehen Sie sie zunächst nur leicht an.

5. Zentrieren Sie die Vinylklappe horizontal und vertikal mittig im Haustier-Türrahmen, sodass die Magnete der
Klappe und des Rahmens Kontakt haben (P).

6. Ziehen Sie die Schrauben an.
