signs of an allergic reaction to the plastic, please discontinue use until you have
consulted with your veterinarian.

• The Pet Fountain is intended to run continuously (always plugged into an electrical
outlet), as long as the water level is maintained and the Pet Fountain is cleaned
regularly. Be sure to check the Pet Fountain regularly to help prevent damage to the
Pump, as the water may get consumed or evaporate causing the Pump to run dry.

• Do not attempt repairs on the Pump.

• To avoid the possibility of the plug or electrical outlet getting wet, the electrical
outlet should always be above the level of the Pet Fountain.

• If an extension cord is necessary, an extension cord with a proper rating should
beused.

• The electrical use of this appliance is 2 watts.

• The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause
an unsafe condition. Do not modify the appliance.

• Do not install or store appliance where it will be exposed to weather or
temperatures below 4.5° C.

Bowl: The Stainless Steel Bowl is the foundation of the Pet Fountain.
Housing: Water is pumped up through the Housing to cycle through the Charcoal

Filter and out the spout to create a waterfall into the Bowl.
Housing Lid: The Housing Lid snaps in place over the Housing, keeping pets out of

the Charcoal Filter.
Charcoal Filter: The 3-layer filter is made with activated charcoal derived from

coconut shells. The Charcoal Filter absorbs bad tastes and odours as the water passes
through and helps keep the water tasting fresh and more appealing to pets.

Pump: The small aquarium Pump can be partially dismantled for cleaning. THE
PUMP IS NOT DISHWASHER SAFE! Remove Pump from the Pet Fountain before
cleaning (see “Pump Maintenance” section for detailed instructions). The Pump also
features an In-Line Plug for easy attachment and removal.

6. Insert the Charcoal Filter. The filter will fit in the slots on the inside of the Housing.
Make sure it is pushed all the way down and that the black side of the Charcoal
Filter is facing out toward the Bowl (Fig. 2 & 3).

7. Place the Pet Fountain in a desired location. To protect your floor always use a
protective mat, such as a towel or water-resistant placemat. This will help protect
your floor from splashing or spills caused by your pet.

8. Fill the Pet Fountain by pouring water directly into the Bowl and the Housing, this
will prime the Pump. Leave at least 6 mm to 12 mm of space between the water
level and the rim of the Bowl.

9. Attach the Housing Lid to the Housing, press down until you hear it snap in place.

10. Before you plug in the Pet Fountain, make sure the electrical power cord, the
Adaptor and your hands are dry.

11 . Connect the In-Line Plug and make sure no

standard electrical wall outlet (Fig. 4).

12. Add water to the Bowl as needed. Never
let the water level fall below 13 mm from
the base of the Bowl or you might risk

Pet Fountain Disassembly and Cleaning

FILTER SYSTEM
CHARCOAL FILTER (MAC1915764): Replace every two to four weeks.

• Always rinse the Charcoal Filter prior to use.

• A small amount of charcoal dust may be released for the life of the filter, this is
normal and is not harmful to your pet.

• Replace filters more frequently when using the Pet Fountain for multiple pets or pets
that produce a lot of saliva.

Filters are an added feature of the Pet Fountain. Using the filters is not required for
normal operation. However, when used properly and changed regularly, the filters
help keep the water cleaner and fresher, while extending the life of your Pet Fountain.

• Pet Fountain must be cleaned to continue working normally.

• Never wash the filters with soapy water, as the soap residue
will seep into the filters and cannot be removed. Only rinse the
filters with water.

PET FOUNTAIN: Clean the Pet Fountain once a week.

1. Unplug the Pet Fountain and disconnect the

3. Empty the water out of the Pet Fountain.

4. Remove the Housing by pressing inwards
on the Housing clips located underneath the
Bowl until you feel them release. Lift straight
up on the Housing to remove. (Fig.6).

5. Remove the cord’s Rubber Grommet from the hole in the back rim of the
Bowl(Fig.7).

6. Grab the Pump and lift straight up. Pull
the cord up through the opening until the
Pump is completely removed from the
Bowl(Fig.8).

7. Once the Pet Fountain is completely
disassembled, you will have two plastic
parts (the Housing Lid and Housing), a
stainless steel Bowl, the Charcoal Filter
and thePump.

8. Handwash the Pet Fountain plastic parts with warm water and soap. The Pet
Fountain may also be cleaned with a diluted vinegar solution (20% white vinegar
and 80% water). Important: Be sure to rinse thoroughly with fresh water. You
can also put the Pet Fountain in the top rack of the dishwasher. Remove the Pump
before placing the Pet Fountain in the dishwasher. DO NOT PLACE PUMP IN
DISHWASHER! If possible, it is recommended that you turn down the heat of
the water inside the dishwasher. See the “Pump Maintenance” section of this
Operating Guide for detailed instructions on how to properly clean your Pump.

9. If you have trouble reaching certain spots or hard-to-reach corners, try using a
cotton swab or purchase a Cleaning Kit. To purchase a Cleaning Kit, visit our

4. Once the Stator is removed, you can
remove the Impeller (white, 3-bladed
propeller), which is held in place
magnetically. To remove the Impeller, use
a fingernail to get underneath the plastic
blade and lift out (Fig. 11).

5. Once the Pump is completely
disassembled, you can clean the parts with
warm water and soap. Use a cotton swab
or the “motor brush” from the Cleaning Kit
to clean inside the Pump’s motor cavity
and remove any build-up (Fig.12). For
added disinfecting and hard water
removal, clean the Pump’s motor with a
diluted white vinegar solution (20% white
vinegar and 80%water).

6. Once the parts are clean you can reassemble the Pump for use.

b) Replace the Stator.
c) Replace the Faceplate.

1. Check the flow control on the Pump. Make sure it is in the desired flow rate

position (Fig.13 & 14).

2. Place the Pump inside the Bowl’s square indention with the Pump tube positioned

in the back left corner (Fig.15).

3. Make sure the In-Line Plug is disconnected from the Adaptor. With the Pump in
place, pass the cord through the hole in the rim of the Bowl. Feed the cord all the
way through and push the Rubber Grommet into place to seal the hole. Be sure to
leave enough slack in the cord so the Pump rests flat (Fig.16).

4. Replace the filter Housing by lowering it straight down over the Pump. Be sure the
Housing clips align with the guide holes on the rim of Bowl. Push down to lock
into place (Fig.17 & 18).

5. Rinse the filter throughly under cold water to remove any loose charcoal dust.
Insert the filter into the Housing and make sure the black side of the filter is facing
out toward the Bowl (Fig.19).

6. Replace the Housing Lid. Place the Pet Fountain in desired location and fill the unit
with water (Fig.20).

7. Make sure your hands and the cord are dry, connect the In-Line Plug to the
Adaptor and Plug into an electrical outlet.

The Pet Fountain and Your Environment

If you live in a humid environment and have problems with mould or algae, soak all
Pet Fountain parts in a diluted vinegar solution (20% white vinegar and 80% water)
for 10 minutes after regular cleaning. Also, pour the diluted vinegar solution into the
Pump’s motor cavity.

If you have hard water, small white mineral deposits may form on or inside the Pump.
This can eventually prevent the impeller from turning properly. To avoid replacement or
damage to the Pump, please take the following precautions:

• Clean the Pump more frequently

• Clean the Pump with a diluted vinegar solution weekly

• Use bottled water instead of tap water

General Tips

• When being introduced to the Pet Fountain, your pet may be cautious of this new
and unusual object. After beginning operation of your Pet Fountain, simply allow
your pet to adjust at his or her own pace. Some pets may take several days or
longer to begin use, while others will start right away.

• Your pet may prefer that the Pet Fountain be placed away from their normal
feeding area. Try placing it in another location, such as a different area of the
kitchen or in a bathroom or utility room.

• Add ice cubes to the Bowl for refreshing, ice-cold running water.

Troubleshooting

The answers to these questions should help you solve most problems you may have
with the Pet Fountain. If they do not, please contact our Customer Care Centre.

PROBLEM SOLUTION

The Pump is
not working or
the water is not
flowing as much
as it used to.

• Never let the water in the Bowl get below the minimum
fill level. This can cause the Pump to overheat and stop
functioning. When refilling the Bowl, make sure to add water
before turning the Pet Fountain on.

• Lack of regular cleaning may result in the Pump becoming
clogged with pet hair and food debris. The Pump must be
cleaned every 2-4 weeks to ensure proper function.

• Fill the Pet Fountain with water up to the max fill line.

The Pet Fountain
is too loud.

There are black
particles in
the Bowl.

• A low humming noise is normal, but it should not be loud.
Check the water level. If water level is too low, then the Pump
will have to work harder causing it to be louder than normal.

• Unplug the Pet Fountain for 15 seconds. If the noise does
not stop when plugged back in, it’s possible that some debris
is caught on the Impeller. Remove the Pump and clean the
Impeller. Try rubbing a small amount of vegetable oil onto the
magnetic pin with a cotton swab to lubricate the Impeller.

• This is loose granulated charcoal dust from the Charcoal
Filter and is completely harmless for your pet to drink. Rinse
the Charcoal Filter in cold water before placing it in the Pet
Fountain to prevent this.

Troubleshooting (Continued)

The Pet Fountain
feels slimy.

• If you have multiple pets or dogs using the Pet Fountain, the
slimy feeling may be caused by your pet’s saliva. Change
the water and clean your Pet Fountain more frequently to
preventthis.

• Make sure the Pet Fountain parts are rinsed thoroughly
after cleaning the Pet Fountain. Soap residue may cause
thesliminess.

• Unplug the Pet Fountain and plug it into a surge protector.

• Sometimes water around the Pet Fountain is caused by pets
drinking. Some pets are prone to spilling. Watch your pet
when they drink to see if this is the cause. If it is, you can
purchase a fountain mat or other water-resistant mats to
place under the Pet Fountain.

• If there is a white chalky substance in the Pet Fountain, your
Pet Fountain may have a mineral deposit build-up from hard
water. To remove these deposits, clean the Pet Fountain
parts with 80% water, 20% vinegar solution. Rinse all parts
thoroughly afterwards. Use filtered or purified water instead
of hard tap water to prevent this.

récipients d'eau et de nourriture en plastique. Si votre animal présente des signes
de réaction allergique au plastique, veuillez cesser d'utiliser le produit tant que
vous n'aurez pas consulté un vétérinaire.

• La fontaine pour animaux de compagnie est prévue pour fonctionner en continu
(toujours branchée à une prise électrique), tant que le niveau d'eau est maintenu et
que la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie est régulièrement nettoyée. Assurez­vous de contrôler régulièrement la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie pour
éviter que la pompe ne soit endommagée, car si une grande quantité d'eau est
consommée ou s'évapore, la pompe risque de s'assécher.

Bol: le bol en acier inoxydable est l'élément principal de la fontaine pour animaux
de compagnie.

Compartiment: l'eau est pompée à l'intérieur du compartiment afin de passer par
le filtre à charbon et le bec verseur, pour enfin tomber en cascade dans le bol.

Couvercle du compartiment: le couvercle du compartiment s'enclenche au­dessus du compartiment, afin de tenir le filtre au charbon hors de portée des animaux.

Filtre au charbon: le filtre au charbon à 3 couches est en charbon actif, issu
d'écorce de noix de coco. Il absorbe les mauvais goûts et odeurs lorsque l'eau passe
au travers, permettant que celle-ci reste bonne et fasse davantage envie aux animaux.

Pompe: la petite pompe d'aquarium submersible peut être partiellement démontée
afin d'être nettoyée. LA POMPE N'EST PAS LAVABLE AU LAVEVAISSELLE! Retirez
la pompe de la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie avant de la nettoyer (voir la
section «Entretien de la pompe» pour des informations détaillées). La pompe possède
en outre une prise droite, pour un branchement et un retrait faciles.

Instructions d’utilisation

• N'utilisez pas l'appareil à l'extérieur. Ne pas utiliser à sec. Pour
usage à l'intérieur uniquement.

• Ne tirez jamais sur le cordon d'alimentation électrique pour retirer
la prise mâle de la prise femelle.

• Pour le débrancher, saisissez la prise et non le cordon
d'alimentation électrique.

REMARQUE

avec de l'eau chaude avant de la faire fonctionner, pompe incluse. Consultez la section
«Entretien de la pompe» de ce manuel d'utilisation pour obtenir des instructions
détaillées sur la façon de nettoyer correctement votre pompe. Cela vous permettra
permet d'éliminer la poussière ou tout résidu de fabrication piégé dans le système.

1. Retirez avec précaution toutes les pièces de la fontaine pour animaux de
compagnie de l'emballage et mettez-les de côté avant le montage.

2. Comme pour tout appareil électrique,
contrôlez le cordon d'alimentation électrique
afin de détecter toute déchirure ou tout
dommage éventuel(le) avant utilisation.

3. Retirez le couvercle du compartiment
en plaçant un doigt sous les languettes
de chaque côté de celui-ci et en
soulevant(Fig.1).

4. Fixez le compartiment au bol. Appuyez
fermement sur le compartiment jusqu'à ce que les languettes s'enclenchent.

5. Rincez soigneusement le filtre au charbon à l'eau froide avant de l'installer
dans la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie. Ceci permettra d'éliminer toute
poussière de charbon, laquelle est toutefois sans danger pour votre animal
decompagnie.

6. Insérez le filtre au charbon. Le filtre doit s'insérer dans les fentes situées à
l'intérieur du compartiment. Assurez-vous qu'il soit bien inséré jusqu'au fond et
que la partie noire du filtre au charbon soit tournée vers le bol (Fig. 2 et 3).

7. Placez la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie à l'endroit voulu. Pour protéger
votre sol, utilisez toujours un tapis de protection; vous pouvez utilisez une
serviette ou un tissu imperméable. Cela évitera que votre animal de compagnie
n'éclabousse ou ne renverse de l'eau sur votre sol.

8. Remplissez la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie en versant l'eau directement
dans le bol et le compartiment; ceci activera la pompe. Laissez au moins
6 à 12 mm d'espace entre la surface de l'eau et le bord du bol.

9. Fixez le couvercle au compartiment du filtre et appuyez jusqu'à ce
qu'ils'enclenche.

10. Avant de brancher votre fontaine pour animaux de compagnie, assurez-vous que
vos mains, l'adaptateur et le cordon d'alimentation électrique sont
parfaitementsecs.

11 . Branchez la prise en ligne et assurez-vous

qu'aucun élément en argent n'est apparent,
puis branchez l'adaptateur à une prise
électrique murale standard (Fig. 4).

12. Remplissez le bol selon les besoins. Ne laissez
pas le niveau de l'eau descendre à moins de
13mm à partir de la base du bol car cela
risquerait de causer une défaillance de la
pompe. Des pompes de remplacement peuvent être achetées séparément en
appelant le service clientèle. Pour obtenir les numéros de téléphone du Service

nettoyée pour pouvoir fonctionner normalement.

• ne lavez jamais les filtres avec de l'eau savonneuse,
car des résidus de savon s'insinueraient dans les
filtres et vous ne pourriez pas les retirer. Rincez les
filtres à l'eau uniquement.

SYSTÈME DE FILTRES
FILTRE AU CHARBON (MAC1915764): Remplacez-le toutes les deux à

quatresemaines.

• Rincez toujours le filtre au charbon avant de l'utiliser.

• Il est possible qu'une petite quantité de poussière de charbon s'échappe du filtre
au fil du temps; ce phénomène est normal et sans danger pour votre animal
decompagnie.

• Remplacez les filtres plus fréquemment si vous utilisez la fontaine pour animaux de
compagnie pour plusieurs animaux de compagnie ou des animaux de compagnie
salivant beaucoup.

Les filtres sont des accessoires optionnels de la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie.
L'utilisation de filtres n'est pas requise. Cependant, lorsqu'ils sont correctement utilisés
et régulièrement changés, ils permettent de garder l'eau plus propre et lui assurent
un meilleur goût, tout en allongeant la durée de vie de votre fontaine pour animaux
decompagnie.

FONTAINE POUR ANIMAUX DE COMPAGNIE: Nettoyez la fontaine pour
animaux de compagnie une fois par semaine.

1. Débranchez la fontaine pour animaux de
compagnie et déconnectez la prise en ligne
de la pompe (Fig. 5).

2. Retirez le couvercle du compartiment et le
filtre au charbon.

3. Videz la fontaine pour animaux de
compagnie de son eau.

4. Retirez le compartiment en appuyant sur les pinces situés sous le bol, jusqu'à ce qu'il
se débloquent. Soulevez le compartiment à la verticale pour le retirer. (Fig.6).

5. Retirez l'œillet en caoutchouc du cordon de l'orifice situé sur le bord arrière du
bol (Fig.7).

6. Saisissez la pompe et soulevez-la à la
verticale. Tirez le cordon par l'ouverture
de façon à complètement retirer la pompe
du bol (Fig. 8).

7. Une fois la fontaine pour animaux de
compagnie complètement démontée, vous
devez avoir deux pièces en plastique (le
couvercle et le compartiment), un bol en
acier inoxydable, le filtre au charbon et
lapompe.

8. Lavez les pièces en plastique de la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie à
l'eau chaude et au savon. Vous pouvez aussi laver la fontaine pour animaux de
compagnie à l'aide d'une solution de vinaigre dilué (20% de vinaigre blanc et
80% d'eau). Important: ssurez-vous de la rincer soigneusement à l'eau propre.
Vous pouvez également mettre la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie dans
le compartiment supérieur du lave-vaisselle. Retirez la pompe avant de mettre
la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie au lave-vaisselle. NE METTEZ PAS
LA POMPE AU LAVE-VAISSELLE! Si possible, nous vous recommandons
de baisser la température de l'eau à l'intérieur du lave-vaisselle. Consultez la
section «Entretien de la pompe» de ce manuel d'utilisation pour des instructions
détaillées sur la façon de nettoyer correctement votre pompe.

9. Si vous avez du mal à atteindre certaines parties ou certains recoins difficiles
d'accès, essayez d'utiliser un coton-tige ou procurez-vous le kit de nettoyage.
Pour vous procurer un kit de nettoyage, consultez notre site internet,

Nettoyez la pompe toutes les deux semaines. La garantie pourra être annulée si le
moteur de la pompe n'est pas nettoyé régulièrement.

1. Retirez la pompe de la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie, comme indiqué
dans la section «Démontage et nettoyage de la fontaine».

2. Une fois la pompe retirée de la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie, avec le
pouce et l'index, pressez délicatement de chaque côté de la façade et tirez. Il
est possible que vous deviez insérer un ongle dans la jointure de la façade pour
l'enlever (Fig. 9).

3. Ensuite, vous devez retirer le stator en plaçant votre doigt sous le petit rebord;
retirez-le ensuite de la pompe (Fig.10).

Le nettoyage de la pompe est essentiel pour garantir la durée de

4. Une fois le stator retiré, vous pouvez retirer
la turbine (hélice blanche à 3 pales),
maintenue en place magnétiquement. Pour
retirer l'hélice, mettez un ongle sous la pale
en plastique, puis soulevez (Fig. 11).

5. Une fois la pompe entièrement démontée,
vous pouvez nettoyer toutes les pièces
avec du savon et de l'eau. Utilisez un
coton-tige ou le balai à moteur du kit de
nettoyage pour atteindre l’intérieur du
moteur de la pompe et éliminer tout
encrassement (Fig.12). Pour désinfecter et
éliminer encore davantage les taches dues
à une eau dure, nettoyez le moteur de la
pompe à l'aide d'une solution de vinaigre
dilué (20% de vinaigre blanc et
80%d'eau).

6. Une fois les pièces propres, vous pouvez remonter la pompe pour utiliser
leproduit.

a) Replacez la turbine.
b) Replacez le stator.
c) Replacez la façade.

Réassemblage de la fontaine

1. Vérifiez le contrôle de débit de la pompe. Assurez-vous que le réglage du débit

est celui souhaité (Fig.13 et 14).

2. Placez la pompe dans le renfoncement carré du bol, le tube de la pompe

positionné dans le coin arrière gauche (Fig.15).

3. Assurez-vous que la prise en ligne est déconnectée de l'adaptateur. Une fois la
pompe en place, passez le cordon dans l'orifice du bord du bol. Faites passer
tout le cordon, puis poussez l'œillet en caoutchouc pour le mettre en place et
combler l'orifice. Assurez-vous de donner assez de jeu au cordon pour que la
pompe repose à plat (Fig.16).

4. Replacez le compartiment du filtre en l'abaissant à la verticale, au-dessus de
la pompe. Assurez-vous que les pinces du compartiment sont alignées avec
les orifices de repère situés sur le bord du bol. Appuyez pour enclencher
(Fig.17 et 18).

5. Rincez soigneusement le filtre à l'eau froide pour éliminer toute poussière de
charbon. Insérez le filtre dans le compartiment et assurez-vous que la partie noire
du filtre soit tournée vers le bol (Fig. 19).

6. Replacez le couvercle. Placez la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie à l'endroit
voulu et remplissez-la d'eau (Fig.20).

7. Assurez-vous que vos mains et le cordon sont secs, connectez la prise en ligne à
l'adaptateur et branchez-les à une prise électrique.

La fontaine pour animaux de
compagnie et votre environnement

Si vous habitez dans un endroit humide, sujet à l'apparition de moisissure ou d'algues,
immergez toutes les pièces de la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie dans une
solution de vinaigre dilué (20% de vinaigre blanc et 80% d'eau) pendant 10minutes
après un nettoyage normal. Versez également la solution de vinaigre dilué dans le
compartiment du moteur de la pompe.

Si votre eau courante est dure, de petits dépôts minéraux blancs peuvent apparaître
sur la pompe ou à l'intérieur de celle-ci. Cela pourrait empêcher la turbine de
fonctionner correctement. Pour éviter d'endommager ou d'avoir à remplacer la
pompe, veuillez prendre les précautions suivantes:

• Nettoyez la pompe plus souvent

• Nettoyez la pompe avec une solution de vinaigre dilué chaque semaine

• Utilisez de l'eau en bouteille plutôt que de l'eau du robinet

• La première fois que vous lui montrerez la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie,
il est possible que votre animal se montre circonspect face à cet objet nouveau
et inhabituel. Lorsque vous aurez commencé à utiliser la fontaine pour animaux
de compagnie, laissez simplement à votre animal le temps de s'habituer à son
propre rythme. Certains animaux peuvent mettre quelques jours voire davantage
à utiliser la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie, tandis que d'autres le
ferontimmédiatement.

• Il est possible que votre animal préfère que la fontaine pour animaux de
compagnie soit placée à distance de l'endroit où vous le nourrissez habituellement.
Essayez de la placer à un autre endroit, comme une autre partie de la cuisine,
dans la salle de bain ou une pièce de service.

• Ajoutez des glaçons dans le bol pour une eau encore plus rafraîchissante.

Dépannage

Les réponses à ces questions devraient vous aider à résoudre les problèmes que peut
vous poser la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie. Si ce n'est pas le cas, veuillez

PROBLÈME SOLUTION

La pompe ne

qu'avant.

• Ne laissez jamais le niveau d'eau du bol descendre en dessous
du niveau de remplissage minimum. Cela pourrait créer une
surchauffe de la pompe et provoquer son arrêt. Lorsque vous
remplissez le bol, assurez-vous d'avoir ajouté l'eau avant de
mettre en marche la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie.

• Le manque de nettoyage régulier peut entraîner l'obturation de
la pompe par des poils d'animaux de compagnie ou des restes
de nourriture. La pompe doit être nettoyée toutes les 2 à 4
semaines afin de garantir son bon fonctionnement.

• Remplissez la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie avec de
l'eau jusqu'à la ligne de remplissage max.

La fontaine

bruyante.

• Un léger bruit de fond est normal mais cela ne doit pas être
bruyant. Contrôlez le niveau d'eau. Si le niveau d'eau est trop
bas, la pompe doit fonctionner davantage, d'où un bruit plus
important que d'habitude.

• Débranchez la fontaine pour animaux de compagnie
pendant 15 secondes. Si le bruit recommence lorsque vous
la rebranchez, il est possible que des débris soient pris dans
l'hélice. Retirez la pompe et nettoyez l'hélice. À l'aide d'un
coton-tige, frottez la broche magnétique avec un peu d'huile
végétale pour lubrifier l'hélice.
