INSTRUCTIONS
ON/OFF: Pressing the button on the top of the Pulse turns it on.
It will automatically turn off after receiving no input signal for 8
mins if the battery is charged normally. If the battery is low, the
Pulse will shut off after 3 mins of not receiving a signal to
conserve battery life.
PLUG IN: Insert the 3.5 mm plug into the headphone jack of
any electronic metronome, or any smart phone or tablet with a
metronome app. (Nearly all metronomes and apps will work).
IMPORTANT: Set the metronome’s volume at medium to high,
as necessary to achieve a consistent vibration for all voice
options.
The Pulse will produce a tactile vibe for each audio beat it
“hears”.
NOTE: When used with common audio metronomes,
there will be no difference in the pulse intensity
between subdivisions and audibly accented beats.
When used with the Peterson BodyBeat® App,
clearly- distinctive differences in intensity will be felt
for normal, accented, and subdivision beats that you
have selected. (See iTunes or Google Play Store for

INTENSITY: The small switch on the side of the Pulse selects
the vibration intensity, either high or low.
CHARGING THE BATTERY: The USB connection is used to
charge the built-in lithium-ion battery. Plug the USB cable into
any USB charger. Normal charging should take approximately
one to 1-1/2 hours. If the battery is extremely discharged, allow
extra time.
LIGHTS: The colored LEDs indicate several things:
The red LED indicates the battery condition:
Red LED off indicates battery is sufficiently charged.
Steady red indicates battery is getting low.
Slowly flashing red means the battery should be
charged fairly soon.
Fast flashing red indicates the battery is low and the
BBS-Pulse Solo will shut down soon.
The green LED is only on when the Pulse is plugged in and
indicates the charging status:
Flashing green indicates the battery is charging.
Solid green indicates that it is fully charged.
