We recommend you retain the packaging for reuse in case you need to transport the unit at a later date.

your éloquence amplier, or any other
components, when connecting the unit into your system.
Connect your turntable
Connect the analogue output of your turntable to the Phono input and the turntable ground wire to the ground terminal at the rear of your éloquence
amplier.

amplier.

6
Connecting
Important: Before making any connections, switch off the mains power to all compo-
nents in your system.
7
1 Phono Input
When the éloquence phono preampli-
er is installed, the Input 1 connectors
become the phono inputs. They accept an unbalanced (RCA) analogue audio signal from your turntable.
2 Ground Terminal
If your tone-arm cable is tted with a
21
ground wire, best results are usually achieved by connecting to the highquality ground terminal.
If, however, its connection introduces noise (hum, etc.) or a reduction in sound quality, then disconnect it – certain tone-arms and/or cartridges function better with no earth connection.
The Menu System
Installing the phono preamplier into your éloquence amplier activates the
phono options in the menu system,
allowing you to congure its settings.
Phono Conguration
The gain settings of the phono preampli-
er can be customised to suit the output
level of your cartridge.
Gain
The gain menu allows you to select the gain applied to the audio signal received from the turntable. Selecting +40dB is the low gain setting, and is ideal for moving magnet (MM) or high-output moving coil (MC) cartridges. The +60dB setting is only to be used for low-output moving coil cartridges.
The factory default gain setting is 40dB.
