1. Unplug the MAP sensor - located on the back side of the intake manifold. Unplug the EGR throttle
buttery harness - located on the bottom of the intake manifold (usually has a red locking tab).

2. Detach any wire harnesses that are clipped or bolted to the intake manifold. There is usually a
10mm bolt holding one on the back side of the intake manifold.
3. Using a athead screwdriver, gently pry breather hose from valve cover and disconnect.
5. Remove single 10mm dipstick bracket bolt and remove 6 10mm intake manifold bolts.
6. Remove intake horn. Sometimes it helps to twist the intake horn to break it free from the factory coupler.
7. Remove factory intercooler pipe.

8. If installing ONLY the H&S Maxx Flow intake manifold, slide supplied 4” clamp and reducing coupler onto
Maxx Flow intake manifold. Slide clamp onto coupler and tighten. Remove factory coupler that connects
intercooler pipe to intake manifold (Note: Some models may have a permanent clamp on the coupler that
will need to be cut o to allow coupler to be removed). If installing H&S Boost Tube, slide reducing coupler
onto H&S boost tube. Slide supplied 4” clamp onto coupler and tighten at similar angle as shown below.
10. Install H&S boost tube OR factory intercooler pipe on intercooler. Slide clamp onto coupler and
tighten clamp slightly while still allowing tube to twist and slide.
11. If installing ONLY the H&S Maxx Flow intake manifold, slide the previously removed factory 3”
clamp onto factory intercooler pipe. If installing H&S Boost Tube, slide supplied 4” clamp onto boost
tube and slide the supplied 4” straight coupler onto boost tube.
12. Remove MAP sensor from factory intake manifold and install in H&S intake manifold.
13. Clean old gasket material o of head surface. Install new OEM gasket on head surface, sticky side
down. Apply a small amount of grease to top side of gasket (helps prevent gasket from breaking if
intake manifold must be removed again).

14. Install intake manifold. If installing H&S Boost Tube, slide a supplied 4” clamp onto intake manifold
before installing. Slide bottom end of intake manifold into coupler and loosly install 2 long bolts (1
supplied) to hold intake manifold to head.
15. Press boost tube and intake manifold together. Center coupler between boost tube and intake
manifold. Slide clamps onto coupler and tighten.
17. Install 3 short previously removed factory bolts on intake manifold and tighten all 5 intake manifold bolts.
Torque bolts to 20 ft-lbs.
18. Reconnect valve cover breather and MAP sensor.
19. Remove 2 8mm bolts on valve cover.

20. Install supplied bracket using factory bolts. Tighten.
21. Using supplied hardware, bolt dipstick to previously installed bracket. Tighten. Make sure any wire
harnesses left disconnected are routed free of moving parts. Your H&S tuning device will take care
of any trouble codes related to unplugged harnesses.

Installation of this product on a non-sanctioned race vehicle, on ANY road, public or private, is STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the United
States and Canada. This product may cause the vehicle it is installed on to exceed federal emissions limits, and therefore cannot be
installed on any vehicle that has been certied or registered for highway use. Removing your emissions equipment, including but
not limited to, exhaust gas recirculation(EGR), catalytic converter, or Diesel Particulate Filter(DPF), is against federal regulations set
forth by the EPA, when not used for closed-course sanctioned racing. H & S Performance, LLC strongly recommends that all emissions equipment be left in place at all times on any vehicle that has been registered or certied for highway use. By purchasing or
installing this high performance product, you release H & S Performance, LLC of any and all liabilities, and assume all responsibility
for making sure your vehicle is compliant with all local, state, and federal emissions regulations. By installing this product you
agree to these terms and conditions, and also acknowledge that installing a high performance product on your vehicle may void
