1Introduction
1.1 Purpose of this quick start guide
This quick start guide contains basic instructions for operating the device.
However, the manual takes priority over the quick start guide.
1.2 Intended Use
The handheld is used to identify 1-D and 2-D codes that have been applied
directly to the surface of a product. For example, the code may have been etched,
printed, or laser-engraved on a housing. The degree of flexibility offered when
decoding codes allows the handheld to be used in a number of industries.
Always operate the device as described in these instructions to ensure that the
device and connected systems function correctly. The protection of operating
personnel and plant is only guaranteed if the device is operated in accordance
with its intended use.
