The IntelliFlo® VS+SVRS pump is the revolutionary way to

IntelliFlo VS+SVRS features an exclusive blend of technology innovations that enable you
to slash pump-related utility costs, typically by 30% to 90%, saving hundreds of dollars

• Exclusive, advanced motor technology. IntelliFlo pumps are the rst to use
exclusive permanent magnet motor technology (used in hybrid cars). This provides
typical “base savings” of 30% over pumps with traditional induction motors.
• Onboard intelligence with variable drive. IntelliFlo pumps also include a variable
speed capability, along with digital controls and proprietary software that allow custom
programming of optimum pump speeds for specic tasks—ltering, heating, cleaning,
spa jets, waterfalls, etc. There are eight individual, adjustable speed settings at your
command. For virtually all applications, the optimum speed will be lower than the
pre-set, unchangeable speed of older pumps. You exploit a fundamental pump law—
slow down the pump and you can cut energy use dramatically. A good analogy is your
car: you get much better mileage at 30 mph than 90 mph.
The result of these combined innovations is a pump that uses just a small fraction of the
horsepower of a standard pump and just a fraction of the energy…about the same as an

An important note about utility rates
Posted rates and effective rates are not the same. Your
base electric rate may be 10¢ per kilowatt hour (kWh) or
less, but the true effective rate is much higher, since you
must also take into account:
1. Added user fees and taxes (vary by state and provider)
2. In some states, rates increase substantially as a consumer
uses additional electricity beyond a set baseline.
3. Many assess a surcharge per kWh during the summer
when demand is higher.

Programming IntelliFlo VS+SVRS is as easy as setting the stations on your car radio.
With the pump running, simply press the speed button assigned to the operation
you want to manage. Then, just press the “up” or “down” button to increase or
decrease the speed setting between 1100 RPMs and 3450 RPMs. It’s that simple to
optimize water ow for any application. Of course, your pool professional can help
you determine the perfect speed settings. And remember, as you change or add
equipment and features, speed settings can be quickly adjusted to ensure the lowest
amount of energy is consumed.

IntelliFlo VS+SVRS is the rst pump with an integrated Safety
Release System (SVRS)
which provides an important layer of entrapment

protection. Its built-in controller and proprietary software detect blockage
of the drain and automatically shut the pump off within seconds. IntelliFlo
VS+SVRS meets ASME A112.19.17.2002 standards, thereby complying with
new Federal legislation related to public pools (Virginia Graeme Baker
Pool Safety Act), as well as a growing number of state and local statutes/
codes for residential pools where entrapment protection measures are
required.
