To obtain maximum noise cancellation the microphone must be kept close to the lips at a
distance of 3-5 mm (1/8”).

WS5, WS Workstyle and WS SportTac headsets can be used without the
MT53N-11-A44 Boom Microphone, as it is equipped with a built in microphone.
However, the MT53N-11-A44 Boom Microphone can improve speech intelligibility
in noisy environments.
How to attach a MT53N-11-A44 Boom Microphone to a WS5, WS Workstyle
or WS SportTac headset.
Remove the left/front black guide
- tilt the cup 90 degrees
- press the guide until it snaps off the cup
- carefully pull/twist the guide off the metal
wire
Attach the guide designed to hold a boom
microphone
- carefully thread the guide on to the metal wire
- connect the plug to the jack (make sure the
cable is facing forward)
Change the external input setting to: microphone in the congure menu
- Switch the headset on
- Press and hold the plus and minus buttons for 2 seconds to access the conguration menu
- Go to external input settings by using the on/off/mode button
- Change setting to: microphone, by using the plus button
- tilt the cup 90 degrees
- snap the guide on to the cup
Attach the boom microphone
- carefully press/twist the boom microphone
on to the guide until it snaps in place
