Working with the Recovery Disc
Each time you use the recovery disc, your system starts with the operating system that is located on the disc. This means that the unit
temporarily ignores any settings on your system including the primary monitor setting. The default monitor type for the primary monitor is VGA.
You must select a monitor type before you can view the recovery disc options on your monitor.
Follow these instructions to set up a temporary primary monitor.
1. With the power to the DVR5100 turned on, place the recovery disc in the CD/DVD drive, log out of the system, and then shut down the unit.
2. Press the power button to restart the DVR5100. After the system restarts from the recovery disc, the Select Monitor Format screen appears.
