INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

INTRODUCTION
1 PUA-310 is one of most compact indoor/outdoor proximity reader , which is
an advanced RFID contactless reader and designed smart for connection
to Wiegand input control panel in access control systems as well as
identification systems. It offers top reliability and performance.

Mounting Instructions
1. Determine an appropriate mounting location, and mark the location of the
mounting holes, using the template which follows this instruction sheet.
2. Drill a 8 mm hole for the cable, and drill two 5 mm/mm holes for mounting
the reader.
3. When power is applied to the reader, the LED will flash orange. The LED
turn green, this indicates that the legal card read.
4. Route the cable from the reader and/or power supply to the host. Check all
electrical cods for proper cable installation.
5. A 12 VDC linear type (not switching type) power supply is isolated (not
powering other devices/readers).
6. Once you using a separate power supply for the reader, a common ground
should be established between the reader and control system. I.e. the
ground system of reader and the ground system of the control should be at
same potential.
7. The reader shield wire should be connected to the shielded cable of the
control, so that avoid the possibility of the reader to be affected by external
interference.

Reader connecting Instructions
1. If you connect PUA-310 with Pegasus controller , please refer to below
connecting description to make sure the reader ID number coincident with
the card Nr. Printed on the card.
