Manual
1 Introduction
Thank you for purchasing a rotation meter PCE-AT5 from PCE Instruments.
The PCE-AT 5 rotation meter is a portable and hand-held device to measure the rotation speed in
combustion engines with electric ignition. The large digital display shows the settings (strokes / cylinders)
as well as the number of revolutions quickly and clearly. By means of the inductive clip which must be put
on the plug lead, revolutions can be tested in few seconds. Due to its compact size, the PCE-AT 5 digital
rotation meter is a very flexible tool which can be used not only in workshops. This meter can be used for
two stroke engines with a single cylinder (motorbike, etc.) as well as for four-stroke engines with eight
cylinders. This rotation meter can be used by professional mechanics and also by non-professionals as it
is very easy to use. Users can choose between a display backlight or an integrated torch when working
under poor lighting conditions.
