18v. CHARGER SAFETY INSTRUCTION for Li-ION BATTERY CHARGER
PC COX MODEL 1020-028 COMPLIANCE: IEC 60335-1:2010 AND IEC 60335-2-29:2002+A1:2004+A2:2009
1. Read this instruction carefully.
2. The maximum output ratings as shown on the label shall not be exceeded.
3. The equipment shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing.
4. The battery charger is for indoor use in dry locations only.
5. A certified power supply cord has to be used with this equipment. The relevant national installation and/or
equipment regulations shall be considered. A certified power supply cord not lighter than ordinary polyvinyl chloride
flexible cord according to AS/NZS 3191 (designation H03VVH2-F) shall be used. The power cord set shall have a power
supply cord with conductors providing a cross-sectional area of 2 x 0.75mm2 minimum.
6. The socket-outlet shall be installed near the battery charger and shall be easily accessible.
7. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction, concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
8. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
9. Charge only PC Cox model 1010-014 or 1010-015 batteries, with the PC Cox model 1020-028 battery charger. Charging any
other type of battery may result in the risk of fire, electric shock, or electrocution. The end user bears responsibility for
any damage or harm caused, by inappropriate product use.
10. Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries, with PC COX charger model 1020-028
11. Do not install this equipment in caravans or similar vehicles.
12. Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities.
13. Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available.
14. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater
and get into the food chain, damaging your health and well-being.
15. When replacing old appliances with new ones, the retailer is legally obligated to take back your old appliance for
disposal, at least for free of charge.
