Solar Accent Light
Warning: This product must be fully charged before use!!!
Read all instructions carefully before operating and keep this manual for future reference.
The solar garden light is an environmentally friendly product. It is ideal to enhance your outdoors activities. It is powered by solar energy and is intended to be weatherproof. During the day the solar panel converts sunlight into electricity and recharges the battery. At night, the light turns on automatically using the electricity stored during that day.
WHERE THE ON/OFF SWITCH IS: The ON/OFF switch is located on top of the solar disc. It is set to OFF position when manufactured. DIRECTIONS TO USE:
1. For optimal results, place this product with the switch in the OFF position where there is high sun exposure on solar cell for a full day of charge of the first time using.
2. After a full day of sunlight exposure as described above, turn ON/OFF switch to ON position for everyday use.
3. Light will turn on automatically in the darkness and turn off automatically in the daylight.
SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE:
1. This is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
2. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners to clean this product. If cleaning is required, use only a soft damp cloth.
3. Never try to disassemble or repair this product.
4. For long-term storage, wipe the product clean, remove any water, turn the switch OFF and store indoors.
TROUBLESHOOTING: If light fails to turn on in the darkness after following the instructions above:
1. Make sure it has been fully charged under full and direct sunlight.
2. If fully charged, make sure ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. (Cover the light sensor with your hands and light will turn on; if not, turn ON/OFF switch again.)
3. If fully charged, and it still will not light up, replace battery as described below. (Section: TO REPLACE BATTERY)
4. Please note cloudy or low sunlight weather may have prevented a full charge. Test again after a full day in direct sunlight.
5. Please note that dirt or obstructions may prevent the solar panel from getting direct sunlight. Make sure solar panel is clean and clear of any obstructions.
6. Porch lights or other light sources will prevent this product from turning on/off automatically. Make sure this product is placed in a proper area.
TO REPLACE BATTERY: When the light becomes dim or lasts shorter, it is time to replace the battery.
1. Find battery compartment on top of the solar lantern, then unscrew 3 bolts by crosshead screwdriver (the screwdriver is not included), and then take off the plastic cover.
2. Remove old Ni-MH battery and replace with NEW RECHARGEABLE BATTERY.
3. Follow indicated polarity (+) and (-).
4. Place battery compartment cover back into position to insure waterproofing, make sure the pin on top of the battery compartment was inserted into the notch on bottom of the cover.
5. Place the battery compartment assembly onto the solar lantern.
6. Make sure ON/OFF switch is in ON position.
Caution: Battery must be recycled or disposed of properly. Do not short circuit or dispose of in fire.
