The Patton 2040 Series interface con- verter allows a switch or router with a HSSI interface (such as the Ascend GRF IP Switch) to connect directly to a CSU, bridge, router, multiplexer or other device with a V.35, X.21 or RS-530 interface. All three models in the Patton 2040 Series are available in two versions: DCE-to-DTE or DTE-to-DCE. The Patton 2040 Series is externally AC powered, and is supplied with an integral 6ft (1.8 m) cable.
