PURPOSE OF HI-LO TREATMENT TABLE
The purpose of the Stand-In Table is to assist in moving the patient from a sitting position in a wheelchair to a standing position.
SET UP
Uncrate the table and check to ensure that all parts listed are included in your shipment. Inspect the power cord, plug, controls, frame and upholstery for damage.
Model 4512E is completely assembled and ready to use. If any part is missing (see illustration drawings and parts list on page 5) or damaged, please call customer service at Sammons Preston at
1-800-323-5547.
Set up the table in a location that allows ample clearance around, above, and below the table, and has access to the needed power supply. Securely lock all four casters for stability. The unit is shipped with a 3-pole male hospital grade 15 amp plug (110V models). To maintain adequate grounding, the unit must be plugged into a 3-pole receptacle (110V models) (preferably a hospital grade) that is correctly wired to the building power system. 3 pole male plugs are provided for 220V models due to the variation of receptacles. Illustration A shows the correct color connections of a hospital grade cord to a 3 pole plug (220V models).

METHOD OF OPERATION
The Clinician
must
fully lower the unit to the floor before placing wheelchair with patient up to stand in table. Adjust the width of the Lifting Arms to the size of the patient. Position the harness under the patient buttocks and attach the hooks in the desired holes. By means of the pneumatic hand-held switch, activate the motor gear drive assembly raising the patient from a sitting position to a standing position. Once in the full standing position the Back Support Pad should be locked into position and the Chest Pad can be adjusted to desired height. To lower the patient back into the wheel chair you would reverse the procedure.
WARNING
Never roll patient into lifting position before fully lowering unit to the floor.
CAUTIONS
H
Never leave a patient unattended.
H
Always inform the patient of the procedure before beginning.
H
Make sure the patient is clear of moving parts.
CLEANING
"UNPLUG UNIT BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY CLEANING AND/OR
DISINFECTING"
Infective material should be removed by scrubbing with an approved germicidal
solution. After scrubbing, rinse with a wet cloth and allow to dry.
PREVENTATIVE
MAINTENANCE
H
Joints use oil impregnated bronze bushings and should never need to be lubricated.
H
Frequently inspect the power cord and plug for frayed wires and/or damaged
insulation.

TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
Should the table fail to operate:
1.
Check to ensure that the wall outlet is working.
2.
Check to ensure that the AC plug is inserted fully.
3.
Check to ensure that the pneumatic switch assemblies are connected correctly. If the
line to the hand control is pinched, the control will not work properly.
4.
The motor is protected by a thermal overload device. Should this safety device trip or
engage, let the motor cool down for 15 minutes before operating the table.
5.
If the table is still inoperable, see the service section for instructions on contacting
Sammons Preston.
WARRANTY
The Stand-In Table is guaranteed to be free from defects in material and/or workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 5 years from date of purchase. The above guarantee is null and void if unauthorized repair and/or modification is performed on
the
unit.
