Important Ergonomic Suggestion
According to the experts, operating a device such as a mouse in the same posture for a
long time easily makes some parts of our body such as hand, wrist, and shoulder
uncomfortable. They suggest users to stand up a nd stretc h their body after operating
the mouse for a certain period of time (40-60 minutes). In a ddition to reduc ing the
damage by use of palm rest, frequently changing the posture of ope rating the mouse,
maximizing the ut ility of a ll functions provided by the ut ility pro gram, and reducing
the repeatedly operation movement can prevent the damages such as wrist tunnel
symptoms and tendonitis.

Basic Operation Function of the Mouse
Paten’s Fantasy Mouse is the most recently launched cordless wheel mouse, which
supports as many as 13 sets of wireless channels, its wheel button can control the
horizontal scroll and the vert ical scroll, in addition it can act as a third set of buttons
or goes with the dedicated program driver and be activated as a multiple sets of
additional functions such as zooming.

Introduction to Appearance of Mouse and Receiver
In addition to the two sets of buttons on the Fantasy Mouse, it offers a third set of
wheel keys, a nd a set of lights in front of the wheel keys to remind the users for the
low level of the battery. The wireless receiver has a set of buttons, in addition it also
has a set of simple LED and two sets of lights, such LED shows in hexadecimal 0-F
indicating the current channel used to the user.
Basic Installation of the Mouse
In addition to plu gging the PS/2 connector of the wireless receiver to the PS/2 socket
of the main computer system (it shou ld be done before power on), we still ne ed to
remember to put a No. 3 battery in the battery slot in the bottom of the mouse due to
the wireless signal transmission requires electric power for proper operation.
Switching Wireless Channel
Since the Fantasy Mouse can support a total of 13 wireless channels, users c an select
their channels by themselves. To switch channels, we need to simultaneously press
three sets of buttons (including the wheel). When the other set of lights are lit, we can
start to change channels. Then press the right button to switch channels, and the
channels are changing in the hexadecimal sequence from 0 to F. After the selection
completes, press the left button to start using such channel for operation.
Insufficient Battery Indicating Light

voltage of the batte ry in the mouse is lower than the output signal 1.1 V. It rem inds
the users to replace new battery.

Installation of Utility Program
The provided utility program RF Wheel Mouse 1.0 can be used to install the
program drivers, and it also can provide additional functions. After the proper
installation of the mouse, insert the program driver disk into the floppy disk drive, and
press “SETUP” icon to start the installation.
STEP 1:
First you will see the screen of the RF Wheel Mouse 1.0 software copyright
announcement.
STEP 2:
Choose to install the Chinese or English version of the program drivers and utility
program.
STEP 3:
Install the program according to personal needs to a designated directory (you can
change the directory for the installed programs by yourself.)
Introduction to Special Functions of the Utility Program
Such program driver will be merged into the “mouse setup” function of the control
panel, and add two sets of functions “Scrolling” and “Press Button” to the menu .
Scrolling Function

the program supports the vertical wheel function of the “Intelli-Mouse” system, it
provides a smoothe r scroll, but it will be disabled for the supporting programs. The
vertical scroll speed supports the vertical scroll bar for a specific rows and pages
when the wheel is rolling. (Users can specify the number of rows per scroll.)
“Button” Function
It mainly provides the support functions of the middle wheel. Since the program
driver supports the functions of the 4-key mouse, the configuration of the 4
buttons has no function. We only need to choose the selection of the supporting
functions of the 3

Scroll by Using Cursor
It provides users a way to set up the wheel to support the vertical scroll and the
horizontal scroll according to the requirement of executed program, and also to
change its sensitivity according to personal preference.
Zooming
After the user presses the wheel, the program will magnify the area where the cursor
is according to the specified pixel size in rectangular area and in specified proportion.
It provides users a better view for observing smaller area.
Auto Scroll
After pressing the button, the cursor will change to a specific symbol and provide

users to scroll the vertical and horizontal scroll bars to browse every corner of the
document and web page. It is very useful for users who frequent ly view a wide range
of a document.
Complimentary Function of the Vertical Scrolling
It provides 3 types of additional functions to t he vert ical scroll including Zooming of
the Office 97 documents, shift key to lock and switch the vertical scroll to hor izontal
scroll, which is very suitable for those users using this specific function.
Other Functions
After pressin g the middle wheel, it can support 37 sets of buttons and functions in the
menu, and can be set as the user-de fined keys. Among them, it includes the special
keys of “ Backspace”, “F1”, and “Delete” or activates the special functions of “Copy”
and “Fil e Manager”.
Hardware Maintenance and Simple Debugging
If the mouse does not move smoothly, you should clean the rolling ball and the rolling
axial portion in the mouse.
1. Open the cover of the rolling ball, take the ball out, wipe with a clean cloth. Open
the cover of the rolling ball by turning it in the anti-clockwise direction.
2. The re are th ree set s of rollin g ax es in t he space of the rolling ba ll. Re move t he
dust or any other miscellaneous matter by using a Q-tip. Dip the Q-tip in alcohol
for the effective cleaning if it is not easy to remove the dust.
3. Put the rolling ball back in to its original position after completing the cleaning.
Installation Configuration and Troubleshooting
If the cordless mouse cannot be installed or used, try the following steps for the
troubleshooting.
1. Make sure the PS/2 connector of the wireless receiver is properly installed to the
socket of the main system of the computer. And observe t he surrounding of the
mouse receiver whether or not there is any other electronic device that may
interfere the wireless transmission.
2. Make sure that the mouse is the correct model, and it has at least a minimum
amount of electricity in the battery.
3. Keep the distance between the receiver and the mouse in a meter (the maximum
is 1.5 m.). If there are other interferences, the transmission distance will be
shortened. We can change to other channels to resolve this problem.
4. If the working desktop is a metallic surface, then the transmission distance will be

shortened.
5. When we need to reconfigure channels, press the “RESET” key disposed at the
bottom of the mouse, and at the same time press the button on the receiver, the
channel will automatically select Channel “0”.
