e Engine & Mobile Filtration Division EMEA (EMFE) have developed a new Aquabloc3D coalesceing ltration
media representing a technological step change in diesel fuel ltration and water separation. e new elements
enables operators to meet the challenges of dealing with increasingly sophisticated fuel, and an ever-more
demanding commercial environment. e new FBO elements oer up to 50% longer service life and considerably
improved water separation in fuels which contain biodiesels. Furthermore new deaeration features allow the
elements to work in suction applications more eectively and eciently.
What is Aquabloc3D?
Aquabloc3D uses three distinct elements to actively remove impurities, then coalesce or
grow large water droplets from emulsied water in the fuel, before a nal barrier stage
prevents re-entrainment of the water. Aquabloc3D is Parker’s newest coalescer media
design and is an upgrade which should be oered in preference to Parker’s existing
coalescers for the FBO Series. e new grade of media also enables a coalescer elements
to be used in poor quality fuels, where only an absorber had previously been applied.
