1 WICHTIGE HINWEISE

1.1 Allgemein

Lesen Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung vollständig durch. Be­wahren Sie sie zum späteren Nachschlagen auf. Bei Nichtbe­achtung der Gebrauchsanweisung können Verletzungen oder Schäden am Produkt nicht ausgeschlossen werden.

1.2 Informationen zur Gebrauchsanweisung

Gebrauchsanweisungen können Sie bei Verlust bei der PARIGmbH bestellen [siehe:Kontakt, Seite16]. Für einzelne Produkte sind die Gebrauchsanweisungen sowohl in deutscher als auch in englischer Sprache im Internet abrufbar: www.pari.com (auf der jeweiligen Produktseite).

1.3 Gestaltung von Sicherheitshinweisen

Sicherheitsrelevante Warnungen sind in dieser Gebrauchs­anweisung in Gefahrenstufen eingeteilt:
– Mit dem Signalwort WARNUNG sind Gefahren gekenn-
zeichnet, die ohne Vorsichtsmaßnahmen zu schweren Ver­letzungen oder sogar zum Tod führen können.
– Mit dem Signalwort HINWEIS sind allgemeine Vorsichts-
maßnahmen gekennzeichnet, die im Umgang mit dem Pro­dukt beachtet werden sollten, um Schäden am Produkt zu vermeiden.

1.4 Umgang mit dem Akku

Verwenden Sie den Akku nur mit PARI Kompressoren des Typs047. Die Angabe „Type047“ ist auf dem Typenschild der geeigneten Kompressoren zu finden.
Um eine einwandfreie Funktion zu gewährleisten, setzen Sie den Akku nicht direktem Sonnenlicht, Feuchtigkeit oder extre­men Temperaturen (über 60°C) bzw. starken Chemikalien aus.

Der Akku darf nicht kurzgeschlossen werden. Achten Sie des­halb darauf, dass die Kontakte des Akkus nicht mit Strom lei­tendem Metall (z.B. Schlüssel) in Berührung kommen.
In der Nähe von offenem Feuer besteht Explosionsgefahr. Der Akku ist nicht spritzwassergeschützt. Schützen Sie den
Akku vor Flüssigkeit und Nässe. Verwenden Sie zum Laden des Akkus ausschließlich das mit
dem Kompressor gelieferte Netzteil bzw. den 12V-Autoadapter von PARI. Die Verwendung von Fremdprodukten kann den Akku beschädigen.
Der Akku darf nicht zerlegt werden. Entsorgen Sie ihn entspre­chend den landesspezifischen Entsorgungsregeln.

2 PRODUKTBESCHREIBUNG

2.1 Lieferumfang

Der Akku ist ein Zubehör für Kompressoren des Typs 047. Er wird ohne Ladeadapter geliefert.

2.2 Zweckbestimmung

Der Akku dient der mobilen Spannungsversorgung der PARI Kompressoren des Typs 047.

2.3 Erläuterung zu den LEDs des Akkus

Die LEDs des Akkus zeigen während des Ladens den Ladezu­stand wie folgt an:

Akkukapazität 75% bis 100% Akkukapazität 50% bis 74%
Akkukapazität 25% bis 49 % Die LED blinkt, wenn die Akkukapazität unter 25% gefallen ist. Die Restlaufzeit beträgt dann noch ca. 10Min., d.h. der Akku muss bald aufgeladen werden.

Während des Betriebs zeigen die LEDs die Akkukapazität wie folgt an:
Wenn alle vier LEDs blinken, hat der Akku eine Fehlfunktion [siehe:FEHLERSUCHE, Seite11].

2.4 Produktkombinationen

Der Akku ist geeignet für den Betrieb mit allen PARI Kompres­soren des Typs 047.

2.5 Lebensdauer

Der Akku hat bei Einhaltung der Umgebungsbedingungen [siehe:Umgebungsbedingungen, Seite12] eine zu erwarten­de Lebensdauer von:

3 INBETRIEBNAHME

3.1 Akku laden

WARNUNG
Lebensgefahr durch Stromschlag bei feuchten Händen
Flüssigkeiten können Strom leiten, wodurch die Gefahr ei­nes Stromschlags entsteht.
• Fassen Sie das Netzteil niemals mit feuchten oder nas­sen Händen an.
Der Akku kann entweder mit dem Netzteil eines Kompressors vom Typ047 oder über den optional erhältlichen PARI12V­Autoadapter geladen werden.
Überprüfen Sie vor jeder Anwendung das Gehäuse des Akkus auf Unversehrtheit. Der Akku darf nicht geladen oder verwen­det werden, wenn er beschädigt ist.
Die Akkuladung des Neuproduktes beträgt bis zu 60%. Laden Sie vor dem ersten Gebrauch den Akku voll auf. Die Aufladezeit des Akkus ist von dessen Alter und Restkapa­zität abhängig, sie beträgt bei leerem Akku ca. 2Stunden. Bei voller Aufladung hat der neue Akku eine Laufzeit von ca. 40Minuten. Dies entspricht ca. 8-10Inhalationstherapien bei einer Einfüllmenge von 2,5ml.
• Verbinden Sie das Netzteil mit der Netzanschlussbuchse des Akkus und anschließend mit einer geeigneten Steckdose.

Die Ladeprozessanzeige leuchtet auf, d.h. der Akku wird gela­den. Sobald der Akku vollständig aufgeladen ist, erlischt die Ladeprozessanzeige [siehe:Erläuterung zu den LEDs des Akkus, Seite5]. Trennen Sie nach Abschluss des Ladevor­gangs zuerst das Netzteil von der Netzsteckdose und dann vom Akku.
Info: Der Akku kann auch über den 12V-Autoadapter geladen werden: Ist der Kompressor aus­geschaltet, aber über den 12V­Autoadapter an einer 12V­Stromversorgung angeschlossen, wird der Akku automatisch aufge­laden.

3.2 Akku an Kompressor anschließen

• Stecken Sie den Akku auf den Kompressor. Drücken Sie bei­de Komponenten zusammen, bis der Rasthaken der Entrie­gelungstaste auf der Akkuun­terseite eingerastet ist.

3.3 Akku von Kompressor trennen

• Trennen Sie das Netzteil bzw.
den Autoadapter vom Akku.
• Drücken Sie den Rasthaken
nach innen und ziehen Sie den Akku vom Kompressor ab.

4 WARTUNG

4.1 Reinigung des Akkus

WARNUNG
Lebensgefahr durch Stromschlag
Flüssigkeiten können Strom leiten, wodurch die Gefahr ei­nes Stromschlags entsteht.
• Schalten Sie vor jeder Reinigung den Kompressor aus und ziehen Sie das Netzteil bzw. den 12V-Autoadapter aus der Steckdose.
HINWEIS
Gefahr eines Defekts durch eindringende Flüssigkeiten
Wenn Flüssigkeiten in das Innere des Akkus gelangen, kann dies einen Defekt verursachen.
• Sprühen Sie keine Flüssigkeit auf den Akku.

• Trennen Sie den Akku vom Kompressor [siehe:Akku von Kompressor trennen, Seite9].
• Wischen Sie die Außenfläche des Akkus mit einem sauberen, feuchten Tuch ab.
Ist Flüssigkeit in den Akku eingedrungen, darf der Akku auf kei­nen Fall mehr verwendet werden. Setzen Sie sich vor einer er­neuten Verwendung des Akkus unbedingt mit dem Techni­schen Service oder dem ServiceCenter der PARIGmbH in Verbindung [siehe:Kontakt, Seite16].

4.2 Aufbewahrung

• Trennen Sie das Netzteil bzw. den 12V-Autoadapter vom Akku.
• Lagern Sie den Akku geschützt vor Wärmequellen jeglicher Art (z.B. vor anhaltender direkter Sonneneinstrahlung).
• Lagern Sie den aufgeladenen Akku bei Raumtemperatur (ca.21°C), damit er über lange Zeit seine Kapazität behält.
Sollte der Akku nicht benutzt werden, muss er nach 6Mo­naten erneut aufgeladen werden, weil sonst der Akku durch Tiefentladung beschädigt werden kann.
Bewahren Sie den Akku immer vom Stromnetz getrennt auf, da ans Stromnetz angesteckte elektrische Geräte eine potenzielle Gefahrenquelle darstellen.

5 FEHLERSUCHE

Bei Fehlern, die in diesem Kapitel nicht aufgeführt sind, oder wenn das vorgeschlagene Vorgehen den Fehler nicht behebt, wenden Sie sich an das Service Center der PARIGmbH.

7 SONSTIGES

7.1 Garantiebedingungen

Ab Erstkaufdatum wird Ihnen während der im Garantieschein angegebenen Garantiezeit garantiert, dass Ihr Akku bei be­stimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch keine herstellungsbedingten Material- oder Verarbeitungsmängel aufweist. Der Garantiean­spruch unterliegt einer Verjährung von 12Monaten. Die gege­bene Garantie gilt zusätzlich zur Gewährleistungsverpflichtung Ihres Verkäufers. Ihre gesetzlichen Rechte bei Mängeln gegen­über Ihrem Verkäufer werden durch die Garantie oder den Ein­tritt des Garantiefalls nicht eingeschränkt. Als Garantie- sowie Eigentumsnachweis gilt der vom Fachhändler abgestempelte Garantieschein.
Was wird von der Garantie erfasst?
Sollte ausnahmsweise ein Mangel auftreten, wird der Akku nach Wahl des Herstellers repariert, ausgetauscht oder es wird der Einkaufspreis zurückerstattet. Der Austausch des Akkus kann sowohl in das gleiche als auch in ein mindestens ver­gleichbares Modell erfolgen. Der Austausch oder die Reparatur des Akkus begründet keine neue Garantie. Alle ausgetausch­ten Teile werden Eigentum des Herstellers. Weitere Ansprüche sind ausgeschlossen. Dies gilt insbesondere für jegliche Scha­densersatzansprüche. Dieser Haftungsausschluss findet keine Anwendung im Fall der Verletzung des Lebens, des Körpers und der Gesundheit, bei Vorsatz und grober Fahrlässigkeit, der Produkthaftung und bei Verletzung wesentlicher Pflichten aus dem Garantievertrag.
Die Garantie wird nicht gewährt, wenn
– der Akku nicht ordnungsgemäß nach den Vorgaben der
Gebrauchsanweisung in Betrieb genommen oder verwendet wurde
– Schäden vorhanden sind, die auf äußere Einflüsse wie
Wasser, Feuer, Blitzschlag u.ä. zurückzuführen sind

– der Schaden durch einen unsachgemäßen Transport ent-
standen ist oder ein Sturzschaden vorliegt – der Akku unsachgemäß behandelt oder gepflegt wurde – die Seriennummer am Akku geändert, entfernt oder sonst
unleserlich gemacht wurde – von nicht autorisierten Personen Reparaturen, Anpassun-
gen oder Veränderungen am Akku vorgenommen wurden Im Übrigen erstreckt sich die Garantie nicht auf Verschleißteile,
also Geräteteile, die normaler Abnutzung ausgesetzt sind.
Im Falle einer Reklamation kontaktieren Sie unbedingt zu­nächst Ihren Fachhändler oder die PARIGmbH. Für den
Versand von Lithium-Ionen-Akkus gibt es spezielle Sicherheits­vorschriften, die eingehalten werden müssen. Der vom Fachhändler abgestempelte Garantieschein muss mit eingeschickt werden.
Die "Garantiezeit" läuft ab Kaufdatum.

7.2 Zeichenerklärung

Es sind die jeweiligen landesspezifischen Entsorgungsregeln zu beachten (z.B. Entsorgung über die Kommunen oder Händler).

1 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1.1 General

Please read these instructions for use carefully and completely. Do not discard, so you can consult them at a later date. If you fail to comply with the instructions for use, injury or damage to the device cannot be ruled out.

1.2 Information about the instructions for use

If these instructions for use are lost, you can request another copy from PARIGmbH [see:Contact, page30]. The instruc­tions for use for some products can be retrieved on the internet in both German and English. Simply visit: www.pari.com (on the respective product page).

1.3 Structure of safety instructions

Safety-critical warnings are categorised according to hazard levels in these instructions for use:
– The signal word WARNING is used to indicate hazards
which, without precautionary measures, can result in serious
injury or even death. – The signal word NOTICE is used to indicate general pre-
cautionary measures which are to be observed to avoid
damaging the product during use.

1.4 Using the rechargeable battery

Only use the rechargeable battery with PARI Type 047 com­pressors. The identification "Type047" appears on the identi­fication labels of the corresponding compressors.
To ensure problem-free functioning, do not expose the re­chargeable battery to direct sunlight, moisture, temperature ex­tremes (above 60°C), or strong chemicals.

The rechargeable battery must not be short circuited. There-
fore, ensure that the contacts on the rechargeable battery do
not come into contact with electrically conductive metal
(e.g., keys).
There is a risk of explosion close to open fire.
The rechargeable battery is not splashproof. Protect it from
moisture and liquids.
Use only the PARI power adapter or 12V car adapter supplied
with the compressor to charge the rechargeable battery. Use of
other products can damage the rechargeable battery.
The rechargeable battery must not be disassembled. Dispose
of it in accordance with the regulations prevailing in the country
where you are located.

2 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

2.1 Components

The rechargeable battery is an accessory for type 047 com­pressors. It is supplied without a charging adapter.

2.2 Intended purpose

The rechargeable battery is intended to ensure that a regular voltage supply is delivered to PARI type 047 compressors.
2.3 Explanation of the LEDs on the
rechargeable battery
The LEDs on the battery indicate its charge level when charging as follows:

If all four LEDs are flashing, there is a fault in the rechargeable battery [see:TROUBLESHOOTING, page26].

2.4 Product combinations

The rechargeable battery is suitable for operation with all type
047 compressors manufactured by PARI.

2.5 Operating life

If the ambient conditions for [see:Ambient conditions,
page27] are complied with, the rechargeable battery has an
expected life cycle of:
– approx. 500 charge cycles
– max. 1 year

3 PREPARATION FOR USE

3.1 Charging the rechargeable battery

WARNING
Danger of electrocution due to damp hands
Liquids can conduct electricity, thereby posing a risk of electric shock.
• Never take hold of the power adapter with damp or wet hands.
The rechargeable battery can be charged using either the power adapter supplied with a type047 compressor or with the PARI 12V car adapter, available as an option.
Check the battery housing for damage every time before using. The battery must not be charged or used if it is damaged.
In the delivered state, the rechargeable battery is charged to a level up to 60%. Charge it fully before using for the first time. The charging time for the rechargeable battery depends on its age and residual capacity, but a completely drained battery can be fully recharged in about 2hours.

When fully charged, the new battery has an operating time of about 40minutes. This corresponds to approx. 8-10inhalation therapy sessions with a fill quantity of 2.5ml.
• Connect the power adapter to the power cord socket of the rechargeable battery and then plug it into a suitable socket.
The charging process display lights up, i.e. the rechargeable battery is being charged. The charging process display goes out as soon as the rechargeable battery is fully charged [see:Explanation of the LEDs on the rechargeable battery, page20]. When the charging process is complete, the power adapter must first be disconnected from the mains socket and then from the battery.
Info: The rechargeable battery can also be charged using the 12V car adapter: If the com­pressor is switched off but still connected to a 12V power sup­ply via the 12V car adapter, the rechargeable battery is charged automatically.

3.2 Connecting the rechargeable battery to the
compressor
• Place the rechargeable battery
on the compressor. Press the two components together until the engaging hook on the re­lease button engages in the bottom of the battery.
3.3 Disconnecting the rechargeable battery
from the compressor
• Disconnect the power adapter
or the car adapter from the battery.
• Press the engaging hook in-
wards and pull the battery away from the compressor.

4 MAINTENANCE

4.1 Cleaning the rechargeable battery

WARNING
Danger of electrocution
Liquids can conduct electricity, thereby posing a risk of electric shock.
• Always switch the compressor off and disconnect the power adapter or the 12 V car adapter from the socket before starting to clean it.
NOTICE
Danger of fault due to liquid penetration
If liquids get into the interior of the rechargeable battery, this may cause a fault.
• Do not spray any liquid onto the rechargeable battery.
• Disconnect the battery from the com­pressor [see:Disconnecting the re­chargeable battery from the compressor, page23].
• Wipe the outer surface of the re­chargeable battery with a clean, damp cloth.
If liquid does get into the battery, it must not be used under any circumstances. Before using the battery again, you must con­tact the TechnicalService department or the ServiceCenter of PARI GmbH [see:Contact, page30].

4.2 Storage

• Disconnect the power adapter or the 12V car adapter from
the battery.
• Store the rechargeable battery away from all heat sources
(e.g., continuous direct sunlight).
• To ensure that the charge is retained for as long as pos-
sible, store the charged battery at room temperature (ap­prox. 21°C).
If the battery is not going to be used for a long period, it must be charged again after 6months because otherwise it could be damaged by total discharge.
Always disconnect the rechargeable battery from the mains for storage because electrical devices that remain plugged in present a potential hazard source.

5 TROUBLESHOOTING

In the event of faults that are not listed in this chapter, or if the suggested procedure does not correct the fault, contact the PARIGmbH ServiceCenter.

7 MISCELLANEOUS

7.1 Terms and conditions of warranty

If your rechargeable battery is used in accordance with the in­structions, we guarantee to you that it will be free from defects in material and workmanship caused by the manufacturing pro­cess for the warranty period indicated on the warranty certific­ate, beginning on the date of initial purchase. Claims under the warranty shall be subject to a limitation period of 12months. The warranty provided applies in addition to the warranty oblig­ation of your dealer. Your statutory rights with respect to your dealer in the event of defects are not limited by the warranty or any claim under the warranty. The warranty certificate stamped by the dealer serves as your proof of warranty and ownership.
What does the warranty cover?
If, exceptionally, a defect is discovered, at the manufacturer's discretion the rechargeable battery will be repaired or replaced, or the purchase price will be refunded. If it is replaced, the re­placement battery will either be the same model or a model that is at least comparably equipped. Replacement or repair of the rechargeable battery shall not serve as the basis for a new warranty. All replaced parts will become the property of the manufacturer. Further claims are excluded. This applies partic­ularly for any claims for compensatory damages. This dis­claimer of warranty shall be ineffective in the event of injury to life, limb or health, in cases of wilful wrongdoing and gross negligence, product liability and if substantive obligations under the warranty agreement are violated.
The warranty shall be cancelled if
–
the rechargeable battery has been operated or used improp­erly with respect to the descriptions in the instructions for use
– damage is present that is attributable to the effects of water,
fire, lightning, or the like
– the damage was caused by transporting the device in-
correctly or a falling impact

– the rechargeable battery has been misused or not cared for
correctly
– the serial number on the rechargeable battery has been
changed, removed, or otherwise rendered illegible
– repairs, adaptations or modifications have been made to the
rechargeable battery by unauthorised persons
Moreover, the warranty does not cover wearing parts, that is to say device parts that are exposed to normal wear.
In the event of a complaint, you must first contact your specialist dealer or PARIGmbH. Special safety regulations
apply for sending lithium ion rechargeable batteries, and these must be complied with. The warranty certificate bearing the dealer's stamp must be re­turned with the device.
The "warranty period" begins on the date of purchase.
