2- RE-ENFORCER OVERVIEW
RE-ENFORCER is a multi function compact DVR, designed by our engineers to meet and exceed the actual needs of the police ocers, law enforcement personnel and all other occupations where an actual footage of the action would be required or helpful. It is life-proof design makes it withstand and function in extreme conditions, day and night.
RE-ENFORCER streamlines the entire process of law enforce­ment data collection and evidence gathering by providing crucial data synchronized with video, audio, and photo evidence while keeping the data encrypted to prevent tempering.
IMPORTANT: RE-ENFORCER Should be fully charged for at least 6 hours prior to the rst use. Red indicator LED on the front side of the RE-ENFORCER will turn on while charging and will turn green when the battery is fully charged. Green LED indicator on the opposite side will turn on when the device is on and will ash while recording.
Press and hold the Record Button for 3 seconds. RE-ENFORCER will automatically turn on and start recording.
To ensure rapid charging select charge on the menu when connected to 5V DC USB power supply.

2.1- Power On & O the RE-ENFORCER
To Power On: Press and hold the power button (*15) for 2 seconds. Aer you hear the sound, RE-ENFORCER goes into home screen. To Power O: Press and hold the power button (*15) for 2 seconds and the device will turn o.
2.1.1- “Power On and Record” Hotkey
Press and hold the Power On & Record Hotkey (*16) for 3 seconds. RE-ENFORCER will automatically turn on and start recording.
2.4- Reset the RE-ENFORCER
If RE-ENFORCER fails to power on or o the system or doesn’t func­tion correctly you can use the reset switch (*17) by pressing it with a thin object such as a paper clip to reset the RE-ENFORCER. Please be
cautious and use rigid objects, material broken in the reset switch opening can jam the button access.
2.5- Video Recording
Aer the system start-up, on the home screen press the Power On & Record Hotkey (*16) to start recording. You will see the record (cam­era) icon on the LCD screen turn red and hear a brief sound. Also, LED indicator on the front side will ash green while recording. e data will be saved to the internal memory as .MOV les. To stop recording press the Power On & Record Hotkey (*16) again for 3 seconds. Recording will stop along with a brief sound.
2.6 Voice Recording
On the home screen, press the Audio Record (*7) Button to start voice recording. You will hear a brief sound when RE-ENFORCER starts recording audio. To stop recording, press the Audio Record (*7) Button again and you will hear another brief sound which indicates the voice recording has stopped. Your audio les will be saved as .WAV les.
2.7 Photo Capturing On the home screen, press the Photo Capture Button (*8) to switch the RE-ENFORCER to photo mode and take pictures. Device will automati­cally switch back to video mode aer the picture is captured.
You will hear the shutter sound indicating that you just took a picture. You can repeat the steps to take another picture. Your pictures will be saved as .JPG les.
2.8 InfraRed Light Settings
You can record videos where there are no external light is available, with the InfraRed function. Turn on & o the InfraRed function: on the home screen, press the InfraRed Light On-O Button (*14) for 1.5 seconds. is process will turn on & o the InfraRed light and the RE-ENFORCER will automat­ically activate & deactivate the InfraRed Filter. IR symbol on top of the screen will turn green from white when the InfraRed function is acti­vated and it will turn back to white when de-activated.
Important: InfraRed Light On-O Button will be disabled unless the “InfraRed CUT” setting in the menu is set to manual.
2.9 Microphone Settings
While Recording video, press the Audio Record Button (*7) to turn the microphone on & o. Microphone icon on the screen will appear with a red line on it to indicate audio recording has stopped. Red line will disappear when the audio recording is back on.

LCD Display Settings
you can press the up button (*2) to turn on & o the LCD screen while recording or in stand by mode.
2.11- S.O.S. Button Functions (Car Kit Support)
Press and hold the S.O.S. Button (*13) for 2 seconds. RE-ENFORCER will automatically send a signal to the Multipurpose dock to activate the SOS output wire. is is a 12V DC output that can be used to trig­ger the emergency feature on the radio or any other user dened input.
2.12- Playback
Recorded videos can be seen as thumbnails by pressing the menu button (*1) on the home screen. You can choose the videos to play by clicking the OK button (*4). On the media gallery, up and down buttons (*2,3) will categorize the items in your device by type. While watching a video, up and down buttons (*2,3) will change the video speed to fast-forward & slow-motion.
2.13 Push To Talk Function For Two Way Radio
If the RE-ENFORCER is connected to a two way radio, it can be used as a Push To Talk device. You can use this function by pressing the Push To Talk button (*20).
2.14 Additional Camera
Additional camera is supported by RE-ENFORCER. You can simply plug in your additional camera to AV port to record from the addition­al camera.
Using an additional camera will disable the RE-ENFORCER main cam­era. To enable it back, RE-ENFORCER should be restarted aer remov­ing the additional device.
2.15- Menu Settings
On the home screen, press the Menu button (*1) twice to access the RE-ENFORCER menu.
Pressing the menu button once will take you to the media gallery. Pressing it again will take you to the main menu. Pressing once more will take you back to the home screen. Important: e default password to change the settings is: 000000
2.15.1- Resolution
By clicking the OK button (*4) when the “resolution” is highlighted on the menu, you can select the desired video resolution. Options are from highest quality to normal quality: (2304x1296/30F), (1920x1080/30F), (1280x720/30f) and (848x480/30F)
2.15.2- Photo Size
By clicking the OK button (*4) when the “photo size” is highlighted on the menu, you can choose the desired photo size from the options. 16 Mega-pixels (16M as shown on the menu) will be the largest picture size-while 2 Mega-pixels (2M as shown on the menu) is the smallest picture size available on your device.
2.15.3- Record File Size
You can choose to record videos from 5 minute sections to 30 minute sections. When the memory is full, RE-ENFORCER will start replac­ing the video les with the new ones, starting from the oldest available le. You can also chose to record without sections by choosing the “NO LIMIT” option when the “RECORD FILE SIZE” is highlighted by click­ing the OK button (*4).
2.15.4- IR CUT
You can choose to enable/disable InfraRed option manually by selecting “IR CUT” option to “manual” to use the InfraRed Light On-O Button (*14) for switching night view mode manually.
if you select IR CUT to manual your camera will not turn the InfraRed function automatically.
2.15.5 Flicker
You can change the display refresh rate to 50Hz, 60Hz and to Auto to avoid screen ickering.
2.15.6- Motion Detection
Motion Detection option can be enabled to trigger the video recording when the camera detects motion in the view angle.
2.15.7- G-Sensor Set
G-sensor measures the movement of your vehicle through 3 axis; up and down, le and right, forwards and backwards. RE-ENFORCER will use the G-sensor option to detect and record signicant or sudden movements. You can choose the sensor sensitivity from High to Low or turn the sensor o.
2.15.8- Over Speed Recording
Over speed recording can be set from 30Mph to 160Mph or it can be turned o. is option works as a video correction to prevent undesired changes such as rolling or lining of the video due to the high speed movement.
2.15.9- Pre Record
Pre record option is available with or without audio. If Pre Record op­tion is enabled, RE-ENFORCER starts recording before the record but­ton is pressed.
2.15.10- Post Record
Post record option is available from 3 seconds to 15 seconds to contin­ue capturing video aer the recording has stopped by the user.
2.15.11- Car Mode
Car mode option is to trigger the device to start recording when it’s docked in the car if enabled.
2.15.12- Video Rotation
Video Rotation option is allowing the user to rotate or dock the camera upside down and keep the video in the correct rotation. It can be set to 180 degrees or auto to RE-ENFORCER to detect automatically.
2.15.13- Auto LCD O
is option will set the LCD Screen timeout duration. IT can be set from 30 seconds to 3 minutes or the timeout can be turned o by se­lecting “OFF”.
2.15.14-Auto Power O
Auto power o function will set the time duration for the device to power o to save energy. It can be selected from 3 minutes to 10 hours.
Auto power o function will not interrupt the video recording as it’s in­tended to power o the idle device.
2.15.15- Mic Auto Resume
Mic auto resume option will set the time duration until the micro­phone starts back to recording audio aer it’s muted by the user.
2.15.16- Date Format
is option is to set the date display format for the device. Day/Month/ Year orientation can be sorted into a desired format.
2.15.17- GPS Auto Update Time
If GPS auto update time option is enabled, RE-ENFORCER will be re­ceiving the correct date and time information from the GPS satellites.
2.15.18- GMT Setup
GMT setup allows users to change the time zone.
2.15.19- DST Setup
DST (Daylight Saving Time) setup can be turned on to adjust the de­vice time automatically for the daylight saving time changes.
2.15.20- Language
Device language can be set to other languages by using this function.
2.15.21- Volume
is option controls the device volume. It can be set from Low to High or can be turned o.
2.15.22- Indicator
You can turn the LED Indicator on the front side of the camera on or o by using this function.
2.15.23- RF Switch Setup
Radio Frequency Switch can be set on or o. is option gives the device to communicate with the dock installed in the car remotely if enabled.
2.15.24-RF Recode
is option renews the radio frequency code for accessing the dock remotely.
2.15.25- Auto MSC
When a Mass Storage Class compatible camera is connected to a com­puter, the operating system will recognize it as a removable drive and reveal the le and folder structure.
2.15.26- Free Space
When highlighted, this option allows users to monitor the memory usage of the device.
2.15.27- Ocer ID
Ocer ID can be set by your system administrator. is option is inac­cessible directly from the device.
2.15.28- Firmware Version
is option will allow users to display the current rmware version.
2.15.29- Default Settings
You can select “yes” in this option to revert settings back to default.
2.16- GPS Function
With the GPS function enabled, RE-ENFORCER allows users to track down the location of the camera and embed the location coordinates to the video. With GPS, users can simultaneously watch the recorded vid­eos while tracking down the location on the Google Maps application.
2.16.1- GPS On
With the GPS on, the GPS logo on the screen turns green as soon as the device connects with the GPS satelites.
Important: Like as any other GPS device, RE-ENFORCER will not be able to connect to the satellites when located inside the buildings.
2.16.2- GPS Playback
With the special player you have been provided with the RE-ENFORC­ER, you will be able to trace the location simultaneously while watching the videos recorded.
3- TROUBLESHOOTING
1- Cannot Power On the RE-ENFORCER
tip: Check if the battery is charged. If the battery is charged use the reset button to reset the device.
2- Video Colors Are Set To Black And White
tip: Check if the InfraRed is turned on.
3- No GPS Signal
tip: GPS functions are location dependent. GPS connection can’t be made from inside the buildings.
4- Device Frozen or Unresponsive
tip: Reset the RE-ENFORCER by using the reset switch located under the dust cover on the side of the device. (Unit Description *17)
