Preparing Cabinet for 7009 Duct Installation For Legacy Net-Access (CN***) Cabinets Only
If present, remove side panel bumper by unscrewing (4) # 12-24 screws and (4) # 12 washers. (As shown in View A)
Remove (1) # 12-24 bolt from the front of the vertical blanking panel. Save bolt to be reinstalled later. (As shown in View B)

Device Placement for Net-Access Legacy Cabinets (CN***)
Due to physical constraints posed by the front-to-back beams on the Net-Access Legacy cabinet, there are certain areas of the cabinet that the device cannot be mounted when used in conjunction with this inlet duct.
For Net-Access Legacy cabinets, front equipment rails need to be in full forward position and rear equipment rails need to be 24.25” - 26.1” back.
NOTES:
Numbers-up RU numbering (#1 at bottom) assumed.

Device Placement for Net-Access N-Type Cabinets (N***)
For Net-Access N-Type switch cabinets, there are no device keep-out areas. The only restriction on device is that 3 RU must be left open above and below the switch.
For Net-Access N-Type cabinets front and rear equipment rails need to be 24.25”-24.50” apart.
NOTES:
Numbers-up RU numbering (#1 at bottom) assumed.

Top / Bottom Left Hand Bracket Installation
Measure distance between front and rear equipment rails.
Attach (1) adjustable bracket to each side bracket. (As shown)
Adjust bracket to fit equipment rail spacing.
Tighten adjustment bracket nuts.
Install (1) upper left hand bracket with (4) #12-24 screws and (4) #12 star washers. (Leave screws loose until Inlet Box is installed.)
Install (1) lower left hand bracket with (4) #12-24 screws and (4) #12 star washers. (Leave screws loose until Inlet Box is installed.)
NOTE: If cabinet equipment mounting rails have square holes, one grounding cage nut should be used in each mounting rail.

Top / Bottom Right Hand Bracket Installation
Measure distance between front and rear equipment rails.

Installing Side Duct Day 1:
Without Switch or Side Panel in Place.
Side Duct Installation
Install Side Duct by sliding threaded studs on side duct into slots in upper and lower right hand brackets and secure with (4) #10-32 nuts.
NOTE: For Net-Access N-Type cabinets only, attach 1” thick foam seal along edge of side duct. (See Detail Below)

Section A of Side Duct Installation
From the rear of the cabinet slide section A of the side duct into cabinet. (Exactly as shown)
Slide the threaded studs on the side duct into the slots in the upper and lower right hand brackets as shown.
Secure side duct to brackets with (4) #10-32 nuts.

Section B of Side Duct Installation
From the rear of the cabinet slide section B of the side duct into the cabinet. (Exactly as shown)
Through opening in top right bracket lift side duct into place and slide slots on section B of side duct onto threaded studs on section A of side duct.
Secure section B to section A with (4) #10-32 nuts,

Side Duct Seal Plate Installation
Install top and bottom seal plates to side duct by inserting threaded studs into the holes in the duct and side bracket. Secure the seal plates in place with (4) #10-32 nuts.

Upper / Lower Duct Box Installation
Install (1) upper inlet duct box by sliding box into upper brackets, along built in guide flanges and securing with (2) #10-32 nuts.
Install (1) lower inlet duct box by sliding box into lower brackets, along built in guide flanges and securing with (2) #10-32 nuts.
Tighten all bracket screws that were intentionally left loose earlier.

Replace the (1) # 12-24 bolt that was removed on page 1.
