Message to the Customers
Automatic fire detectors may be installed as part of this system. Automatic fire alarm systems automatically detect fires and aid in swift evacuation. Regular and periodic inspections are required to ensure correct operation in case of a fire.
Regular Inspections
The following points must be checked on a regular basis by the tenant.
Inspect the appearance of the system in your residence. Check the following points. Make sure that inspections are performed on a regular basis.
Has power to the Security Intercom been interrupted? (Check the power indicator, which is shown on page 11.)
Is the Security Intercom or detector deformed, damaged, or falling off?
If any of the above problems occurs or an alarm sounds for no apparent reason, immediately contact the manager's room.
Periodic Inspections
Periodic inspections are performed twice a year by the company that installed the system or an inspection company.
Periodic inspections are mandated by Japanese Law if the Security Intercom is used as an automatic fire alarm notification system.
The Indoor Master will not sound an alarm or flash the indicator if periodic inspection is carried out with an external tester. An alarm will sound from the Door Intercom with an Alarm Display or a Color Camera Foyer Unit and its alarm indicator will flash. The confirmation indicator of the detector will momentarily flash.
Inspection methods may differ between districts or fire stations. Contact the company that installed the system or our nearest sales office.
Periodic inspection is required for the function that is
 l
inked to the earthquake alarm system and outputs notifications. Perform earthquake evacuation training with all the tenants at the same time when perform a periodic inspection.

If the Indoor Master is very dirty, soak a soft cloth with a solution of neutral kitchen detergent and water, ring the cloth dry, and gently wipe the surface. Then use a dry cloth to wipe away any residue of the detergent.
Do not use benzine or thinners. They may deteriorate the surface or cause the paint to come off.
If using a chemically treated cloth, follow the precautions provided with the cloth.
