The new Panasonic Toughpad® FZ-R1 is designed for retail and
food service environments where PCI requirements mandate new
payment card security standards like PCI-PTS V4.0 for chip and PIN.

THE TOUGHPAD® FZ-R1 COUNTERTOP CRADLE
This versatile cradle is the perfect complement to the Toughpad
FZ-R1 and your first step toward a completely mobile retail solution.
Its stylish, small footprint and integrated power supply allows for
more counter space and better customer presentation. Its full array
of input/output (I/O) ports accommodates your existing peripherals
including cash registers, printers and barcode scanners — in other
words, it can seamlessly plug into your existing cash wrap.
Its small size also means you can set up kiosks throughout your
retail space where sales associates can undock the Toughpad FZ-R1
and move onto the sales floor for line busting or even closing the
sale on the spot.
The Toughpad FZ-R1 cradle is a durable, enterprise-grade solution
from Panasonic, built to handle years of use in retail and food

TIER-1 HELP-DESK SERVICES, providing tablet hardware and
operating system support Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. In-depth
troubleshooting or access is coordinated through local deskside
support resources.
TIER-2 SERVICES, providing tablet hardware and operating system
support Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Remote troubleshooting
tools are utilized. This service provides resources to assist Level-1
support in resolving technical problems and investigating elevated
problems by confirming problem validity and seeking known
solutions for more complex issues. This is suitable for locations
where there are no local deskside technicians available for
advanced troubleshooting.
FRONTLINE CONSULTING
Frontline consulting service is a project management-driven service
that assigns Panasonic technology consultants to ensure a successful
product deployment. The consultants specialize in every phase of
your deployment, including:
NETWORK MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES include alert/
alarm monitoring, device operating system patch management and
performance reporting. These functions provide effective problem
diagnostics and statistical gathering of traffic to enable more
efficient administration and network tuning.
