The 200-W UHM lamp provides an impressive 1400 ANSI
lumens for the PT-L757U and 1500 ANSI lumens for the PT­L557U. It also achieves a center-to-corner uniformity ratio of
95%, one of the highest in the industry today. Together, they
assure crisp, clear, ultra-bright screen images in all room
lighting conditions.

High Resolution Delivers More Details

The PT-L757U supports true XGA resolution at a full 1,024 x
768 pixels, with a maximum resolution of 1,280 x 1,024
SXGA. The PT-L557U supports true SVGA resolution at a full
800 x 600 pixels, with a maximum resolution of 1,024 x 768
XGA.This allows them to project more detailed computer
images and graphics, including web pages, from the most
popular notebook computers.

Sophisticated Image Compression and Expansion

When expanding or compressing images that have anything
other than XGA resolution, the PT-L757U and PT-L557U use
digital signal processing to deliver smooth outlines and
superior on-screen definition.
The PT-L757U features Intelligent Image Resizing which
gives it outstanding compatibility with VGA, SVGA, SXGA,
Macintosh, video and even DTV signals from HDTV sources.
The PT-L557U use a newly developed Panasonic original

algorithm to perform detailed calculations using multiple sets

of pixel data, to compress XGA images to SVGA, with high
picture quality. For expansion, the PT-L557U uses Bilinear

Compensation to improve digital outline smoothing, helping

achieve highly natural images from VGA or video sources .

Slim, Compact and Lightweight

A compact design and light weight (PT-L557U: 13.6 lbs/

6.2 kg, PT-L757U: 14.1 lbs/6.4 kg) make both models highly
portable. You can easily carry and set them up just about
anywhere. During presentations, audiences will appreciate the
slim profile not blocking their view.

With 1400 (PT-L757U) or 1500 (PT-L557U) ANSI lumens of brightness

in a 13.6-pound package, these high-impact projectors give your presentations

the power to impress. Supporting native XGA (PT-L757U) or SVGA (PT-L557U) resolution,

their advanced digital image processing technology also provides high picture quality

when compressing or expanding images of non-native resolution.

When projecting images with fewer pixels than the XGA LCD panel–such
as VGA, SVGA and video images–the pixels must be “compensated” to
expand the resolution. When the compensation is based on simple
averaging, the resulting images look unnatural. The PT-L557U solves this
problem by using bilinear compensation to deliver smooth images with
superior definition.
