MODEL:
PPDW12
DESCRIPTION:
The PPDW12 PressurDome™ pressurized upper dome is
constructed from .090" aluminum, ABS plastic with UV additives
and stainless steel. The assembled unit measures (h•w•d) 14.9"
x 18.09" x 18.25" and weights a total of 22.9 lbs. (without camera).
The housing is capable of withstanding a total of 5 psi of nitrogen
gas injected through a Schraeder valve located on the 3/8"
machined aluminum retaining ring. A pressure relief valve
located next to the Schraeder valve provides an escape for
pressure exceeding 5 psi. A 18 pin hermetically sealed connector
is located in the back of the housing for control and power
connections. Servicing the internal components can be
accomplished by removing the aluminum/ABS top held in place
by stainless steel machine screws. A stainless steel retaining
cable is used to capture and hold the aluminum top when
removed for servicing. The lower dome is constructed from free
blown cast acrylic.
FEATURES:
• Aluminum and plastic construction ensures long-term
protection against corrosive atmosphere.
• Sealed, nitrogen pressurized dome eliminates harm to internal
components from moisture, dust and insects.
• Dry nitrogen eliminates fogging and build up of condensation
within the housing.
• Standard 24 VAC heater, blower and surge protector.
• Models designed to accept Panasonic's unitized WV-CS604
and WV-CS404 camera systems.
• Unique, heavy duty construction provides improved protection
from vandalism.
Electrical Specifications:
Power
PDW1T - 24 VAC, 52 vA, 2.16 amps
PDW1TSR (Receiver Units) - 24 VAC, 68 vA, 2.8 amps
Always use with Class 2 Power Supply
2. Always use safety goggles when servicing the unit.
3. An unregulated air supply should never be used to pressurize the
enclosure. The valve should be regulated to allow a maximum air
flow of 5 LPM per minute.
6. Be sure to periodically examine the unit and the attached
supporting structure. If the dome shows any signs of wear such as
stress cracking it should be replaced immediately.
General Instructions:
1. Carefully remove housing from packing material. Check to be
sure all parts are present.

4. Install wall mount bracket in desired location (Fig. A-1). Be sure
bracket is properly and securely mounted to the supporting
structure capable of maintaining the weight of the entire unit.
5. Connect incoming power and video wires to connector
supplied. See fig. B-1 & F for pin out on connector. Note: It is
helpfull to attach short leads (2.00") to video pins and solder
these to video shield on coax cable.
6. Once bracket is secured attach PPDW12 housing to wall mount
bracket. Allow shoulder bolts on the side of the housing to side into
grooves on wall mount bracket. (Fig. C-1)
