Bid Speciﬁcations

The outdoor dome camera housing is the Panasonic models POD8C, POD8CF, POD8CW, POW8CWF or equivalent. The POD8C and POD8CW housing are designed for the Unitized Surveillance Device Series WV-CS564/CS854A/CS854B/NS324. The POD8CF and POD8CWF have been designed for ﬁxed cameras: WV-BP140 Series, WVBP330 Series, WV-CP240 Series, WV-CP254H, WV-CP470 Series, WVNP472. The POD8C and POD8CF housings are pendant mounted, while the POD8CW and POD8CWF are wall mount housings. The enclosure comes equipped with 24VAC input blowers and thermostatically controlled heaters. The POD8C and POD8CF housings are manufactured from a high-impact engineered plastic, UV protected, with a UL ﬂame rating of 94V0. The dome is made of a thermoformed, optically clear, cell cast acrylic material. The dome is held in place with a minimum of (3) fasteners, and a safety cable provided to hold the dome while servicing. Access the enclosure from below with (3) captive fasteners used to press the dome against a sealing O-ring. A twist-off feature allows for the ﬁnal removal of the dome. All incoming wires for the pendant models will enter the unit through the top of the housing. A 1 ½” NPT quick-release coupling is provided at the top of the unit for ease of installation and quick removal of the unit. On wall mount models all incoming wires will enter through the back of the wall mount and run up into the housing. An access door located at the bottom of the wall mount allows for easy hook up of all incoming wire connections. The engineered plastic top, with its reﬂective white paint, insulates internal equipment. The housing includes a camera mounting bracket that integrates a heater, blower, video and power surge protector capable of clamping differential node voltage between 240-300V and common mode voltage from 27-36V. The housing is powered with 24VAC (60Hz) and has a power consumption not to exceed 68W including Unitized Camera. The blower draws 1.4W continuous power. The 50W heater turns on at 40°F and turns off at 60°F. A ground isolation transformer, Panasonic model PWBT1621, is available as an option. The housing supports a temperature range of -50°F to 120°F.
