Unable to tune to any stations..........................................................C1021 open circuit - 100uF at 50V

Bad patterning to E-to-E.................................................................C1019 open circuit - 330uF at 10V

Dead power supply......................................................................... C1003 open circuit - 1uF at 100V

Dead power supply......................................................................... D1012 short circuit - MA2200B

D1012 short circuit in power supply............................................... C1012 open circuit - 47uF at 16V

Dim timer display........................................................................... C1018 open circuit - 10uF at 50V

No tuning and no RF feed through................................................. Q1004 faulty - 2SD1330

Intermittently ejects tape immediately after insertion....................... Mode switch faulty - VSS0175A

Capstan speeds up intermittently..................................................... R2184 cracked one end - 1K ohm

Head switching unstable during record........................................... Fit 150k & 0.015uF across R338

No video on E-to-E.................................... Video input jack sw faulty - VEJ0644 (G45) - VEJ0694 (G40)

Audio sibilance in LP mode (G45).............. Add 680pf between Pins 23 & 24 of IC4001

Change R4006 to 270 ohm. Change C4011 to 0.015uF & change C4031 to 0.022uF.

Muffled sound on recordings...................... Bias potentiometer - VR4002 goes open circuit.

Prevent RF attenuation on playback............ Disconnect Pin 3 (BSI) of RF convertor.
