Battery charger
This battery charger operates on AC between 110 V and 240 V.
But
• In the U.S.A. and Canada, the batte ry charger mus t be connect ed to a 120 V
AC power supply only.
• When connecting to an AC supply outs ide of the U.S.A. or Canada, use a
plug adapto r to suit the AC outlet configuration.

• Always use a genuine Pa nasonic AV cable (DMW-AVC1; optional).
• Always use a genuin e Pana sonic HDMI mi ni cable (RP- CDHM15, RP-CDHM30;
optional).

• Do not use any other USB c onnection cables except the supplied one.
Keep this unit as far away as possible from electromagnetic equipment

3D
2D
This unit has two lenses built-in so that yo u
can enjoy making a variety of different
recordings. You can switch between the
following funct i ons using the 3D/2D switch.
When the 3D/2D switch is set to [3D]
•Y ou can easily record 3D pic tures and 3D
motion picture s.
•When you connect th is un it to a te levis ion that sup ports 3D, yo u can v iew th e 3D
images you have rec orded using the unit. (On the unit, 3D images are played
back in 2D.)
When the 3D/2D switch is set to [2D]
•Y ou can record conventional 2D pictures and 2D motion pictures.
•In Wide & Zoom Dual-Shooting, you can simultaneousl y record images with
differing angles of view.
•The camera records a picture with the right lens during recording of a motion
picture with the l eft lens.

Care of the camera
Remove the lens cover seal A before use.
Do not subject to strong vibration, shock, or pressure.
•The lens, LCD monitor, or external case may be
damaged if used in following conditions.
It may also malfunc tion or image may not be
recorded.
–Drop or hit the camera.
–Sit down with the c amera in y our t rou sers po cket o r
forcefully insert it into a full or tight bag, etc.
–Attac h any items such as accessories to the strap attached to the camera.
–Press hard on the lens or the LCD monitor.
This camera is not dust/drip/water proof.
Avoid using the camera at location with a lot of
dust, water , sand, etc.
•Liquids, sand and other foreign material may get into
the space around the lens, buttons, etc. Be
particular ly careful since it may not jus t cause
malfunctions, but it may become unrepairable.
–Places with a lot of sand or dust.
–Places where water c an come int o cont ac t with th is
unit such as when using it on a rainy day or on a
beach.

How to Use the Touch Panel
This touch panel is a type that detects press ure.
Touch the screen
To touch and releas e the touch panel.
Use this to perf orm tasks such as
selecting ic ons or images displayed on
the touc h pan e l .
•It may not operate properly when
multiple icons are t ouched
simultaneously, so try to touch the
center of the icon.
Drag
A movement without releasing the
touch pan e l .
This is used when performing tasks
such as moving to the next image by
dragging ho rizontally, or changing the
range of the displayed image.
This can also be used to perform ta sks
such as switching the screen by
operati ng the slide bar.
Note
•
If you use a commercially available liquid
crystal protection sheet, please follow the
instructions that accompany the sheet. (Some
liquid crystal pro tecti on sheets may impair
visibility or operability.)
•Apply a little extra pressure when touching if
you have a commercially ava ilable protection
sheet af fixed or if you feel it i s not responding
well.
•T o uch p a nel will not oper ate pro perl y wh en the ha nd h olding t his unit is pre ssin g
on the touch panel.
•Do not press using anything with a sharp tip or anything hard, except for the
supplied stylus pen.
•Do not operate with your fingernails.
•Do not scratch or press the LCD monitor too hard.
•Wipe the LCD monitor with dry soft cloth when it gets dirty with finger prints and
others.
