INDOOR UNIT AND OUTDOOR UNIT
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Please consult authorized dealer or specialist to repair, install, remove and reinstall the unit. Improper installation and handling will cause leakage, electric shock or fire.
Do not install the unit in a potentially explosive or flammable atmosphere. Failure to do so could result in fire accident.
Do not insert your fingers or other objects into the air conditioner indoor or outdoor unit, rotating parts may cause injury.
Do not touch the outdoor unit during lightning, it may cause electric shock.

Do not allow infants and small children to play with the remote control to prevent them from accidentally swallowing the batteries.

WARNING
POWER SUPPLY
Do not use modified cord, joint cord, extension cord or unspecified cord to prevent overheat and fire.
Do not share the same power outlet with other equipment to prevent overheat and fire.
Do not operate with wet hands to prevent electric shock.
If the supply cord is damage, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Strongly recommended to be installed with Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB) or Residual Current Device (RCD) to prevent electric shock or fire.
This equipment must be earthed to prevent electrical shock or fire.
In case of emergency or abnormal conditions (burnt smell, etc), turn off the power supply, and please consult authorized dealer.
Prevent electric shock by switch off the power supply when:
-Before cleaning or servicing.
-Extended non-use.
-Abnormally strong lightning activity.

NOTICE: • This model is not suitable for 24 hours nonstopping operation in heating mode below -5°C. When the outdoor temperature is below -5°C and you use this model out of above conditions, the outdoor unit might be frozen up and stop operation for protection control.

NOTICE: • This model is not suitable for 24 hours nonstopping operation in heating mode below -15°C. When the outdoor temperature is below -15°C and you use this model out of above conditions, the outdoor unit might be frozen up and stop operation for protection control at -18°C.

CAUTION
INDOOR UNIT AND OUTDOOR UNIT
Do not wash the indoor unit with water, benzene, thinner or scouring powder.
Do not use for other purpose such as preservation of food.
Do not use any combustible equipment in front of the airflow outlet to avoid propagate fire.
Do not expose directly to cold air for a long period.
Do not sit or step on the unit, you may fall down accidentally.
Do not touch the sharp aluminium fin, sharp parts may cause injury.
Do not switch ON the indoor when waxing the floor. After waxing, aerate the room properly before operating the unit.
Do not install the unit in oily and smoky areas.
Ensure drainage pipe is connected properly.
Otherwise, leakage may occur.
Aerate the room regularly.
After long period of use, make sure the installation rack is not deteriorate to prevent the unit falls down.
REMOTE CONTROL
Do not use rechargeable (Ni-Cd) batteries.
It may damage the remote control.
Remove the batteries if the unit is not going to be used for a long period of time.
New batteries of the same type must be inserted following the polarity stated to prevent malfunction of the remote control.

MULTI AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM
DEFINITION
Multi air conditioner systems save space by letting you connect multiple indoor units to a single outdoor unit.
INDOOR UNIT
•It is possible to operate the indoor units individually or simultaneously. The operation mode priority is given to the first unit that turned on.
•During operation, heating and cooling mode could not be activated at the same time for different indoor unit. The power indicator blinks to indicate the indoor unit is standing by for different operation mode.

operations could be activated even when the air-conditioner is turned off. In this condition, once e-ion indicator is ON, the unit will operate with AUTO fan speed and air swing. However, this operation could not be activated or will be deactivated if other indoor unit is activating heating mode.

1 TO TURN ON OR OFF THE UNIT
•Please be aware of the OFF indication on the remote control display to prevent the unit from starting/stopping improperly.
2 TO SET TEMPERATURE
•Selection range: 16˚C ~ 30˚C.
•Operating the unit within the recommended temperature could induce energy saving.
HEAT mode : 20˚C ~ 24˚C. COOL mode : 26˚C ~ 28˚C.
DRY mode : 1˚C ~ 2˚C lower than room temperature.
3 TO SELECT OPERATION MODE
AUTO mode - For your convenience
•During operation mode selection the power indicator blinks.
•Unit selects operation mode every 10 minutes according to temperature setting and room temperature
(For single Split System).
•Unit selects operation mode every 3 hours according to temperature setting, outdoor and room temperature (For Multi split system).
HEAT mode - To enjoy warm air
•Unit takes a while to warm up. The power indicator blinks during this operation.
COOL mode - To enjoy cool air
•Use curtains to screen off sunlight and outdoor heat to reduce power consumption during cool mode.
DRY mode - To dehumidify the environment
•Unit operates at low fan speed to give a gentle cooling operation.

•Keeps the room ventilated.
•In COOL/DRY mode, if AUTO is set, the louver swing left/right and up/down automatically.
•In HEAT mode, if AUTO is set, the horizontal louver fix at predetermined position. The vertical louver swing left/right after the temperature rises.
7TO IMPROVE HUMIDITY AND MOISTURE LEVEL (For Single Split System)
•This operation reduces air dryness and provides you with a comfortable living environment during COOL mode only.
•When vertical airflow direction is set to AUTO, it stops at lower position to avoid cold air contact. However, you can adjust the louver direction manually.

TROUBLESHOOTING
The following symptoms do not indicate malfunction.
SYMPTOM
Mist emerges from indoor unit.
Water flowing sound during operation.
The room has a peculiar odour.
Indoor fan stops occasionally during automatic fan speed setting.
Airflow continues even after operation has stopped.
Operation is delayed a few minutes after restart.
Outdoor unit emits water/steam.
Timer indicator is always on.
Power indicator blinks during HEAT mode with no warm air supply (and louver is closed).
Indoor fan stops occasionally during heating operation.
Power indicator blinks before the unit is switched on.
Cracking sound during operation.
CAUSE
►• Condensation effect due to cooling process.
►• Refrigerant flow inside the unit.
►• This may due to damp smell emitted by the wall, carpet, furniture or clothing.
►• This helps to remove the surrounding odours.
►• Extraction of remaining heat from the indoor unit (maximum 30 seconds).
►• The delay is a protection to the unit’s compressor.
►• Condensation or evaporation occurs on pipes.
►• The timer setting repeats daily once set.
►• The unit is in defrost mode (and AIR SWING is set to AUTO).
►• To avoid unintended cooling effect.
►• This is a preliminary step in preparation for the operation when the ON timer has been set.
►• Changes of temperature cause the expansion/ contraction of the unit.
Check the following before calling for servicing.
SYMPTOM
Heating/Cooling operation is not working efficiently.
Noisy during operation.
Remote control does not work.
(Display is dim or transmission signal is weak.)
The unit does not work.
The unit does not receive the signal from the remote control.
Patrol sensor or e-ion indicator on the indoor unit is blinking.
CHECK
►• Set the temperature correctly.
•Close all doors and windows.
•Clean or replace the filters.
•Clear any obstruction at the air inlet and air outlet vents.
►• Check if the unit has been installed at an incline.
•Close the front panel properly.
►• Insert the batteries correctly.
•Replace weak batteries.
►• Check if the circuit breaker is tripped.
•Check if timers have been set.
►• Make sure the receiver not obstructed.
•Certain fluorescent lights may interfere with signal transmitter. Please consult authorized dealer.
►• Stop Patrol or e-ion operation then restart. If the patrol sensor or e-ion indicator still blinking, please consult authorized dealer.

Notes on “ECO PATROL SENSOR”
•Sensor may not detect moving objects further than 7m away or beyond detection angle.
•Sensor sensitivity is influenced by indoor unit location, movement speed, temperature range, etc.
•The sensor may mistakenly detects pets, sunlight, certain lighting, fluttering curtains and light reflection as human being.
The unit stops and the timer indicator blinks.
Use remote control to retrieve error code.

Note:
•For certain error, you may restart the unit with limited operation with 4 beeps during operation starts.
FOR SEASONAL INSPECTION AFTER EXTENDED NON-USE
•Checking of remote control batteries.
•No obstruction at air inlet and air outlet vents.
•Use Auto OFF/ON button to select Cooling/Heating operation, after 15 minutes of operation, it is normal to have the following temperature difference between air inlet and air outlet vents:
Cooling: ≥ 8°C |
Heating: ≥ 14°C |
FOR EXTENDED NON-USE
•Activate Heat mode for 2~3 hours as an alternative to remove moisture left in the internal parts thoroughly to prevent mould growth.
•Turn off the power supply.

N’utilisez pas l’appareil pas avec les mains mouillées afin d’éviter un choc électrique.
Si le cordon d’alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le fabriquant, par un de ses techniciens ou par une personne qui possède des qualifications équivalentes afin d’éviter tout risque.

UNITÉ INTÉRIEURE ET UNITÉ EXTÉRIEURE
Ne nettoyez pas l’unité intérieure avec de l’eau, du benzène, du solvant ou de la poudre à récurer.
N’utilisez pas l’appareil à d’autres fins que celles prévues, notamment pour conserver des aliments.
N’utiliser pas d’appareil à combustibles dans la direction du flux d’air afin d’éviter toute propagation du feu.
Évitez toute exposition directe à l’air froid pendant une période prolongée.
Ne vous asseyez pas et ne montez pas sur l’unité, vous risquez de tomber accidentellement.
Ne touchez pas l’ailette pointue d’aluminium, les parties pointues peuvent causer des dommages.
Ne mettez pas l’unité intérieure sous tension lorsque vous cirez le sol. Après le cirage, aérez suffisamment la pièce avant de faire fonctionner l’unité.
Ne pas installer l’appareil dans des zones grasses et enfumées.
Assurez-vous que le tuyau de vidange est correctement raccordé. Sinon, une fuite peut se produire.
Aérez régulièrement la pièce.
Après une longue période d’utilisation, assurezvous que le support d’installation n’est pas détérioré afin d’éviter une chute de l’unité.
TÉLÉCOMMANDE
N’utilisez pas de piles rechargeables (Ni-Cd). Cela pourrait endommager la télécommande.
Retirez les piles si vous envisagez de ne pas utiliser l’appareil pendant une période prolongée.
Utilisez des piles de même type lorsque cellesci doivent être remplacées et introduisez-les en respectant la polarité indiquée afin d’éviter un mauvais fonctionnement de la télécommande.

SYSTÈME DE CLIMATISATION MULTIPLE
DÉFINITION
Les systèmes de climatisation multiple permettent une économie d’espace en reliant plusieurs unités intérieures à une seule unité extérieure.
UNITÉ INTÉRIEURE
•Il est possible de faire fonctionner les unités intérieures individuellement ou simultanément. Le mode de fonctionnement prioritaire est celui qu’utilise la première unité mise en route.
•Pendant le fonctionnement, le mode de chauffage et le mode de refroidissement ne peuvent pas être activés en même temps sur différentes unités intérieures. Le voyant d’alimentation clignote pour indiquer que l’unité intérieure attend un mode de fonctionnement différent.

Les fonctions

•Lors de la sélection du mode de fonctionnement, le voyant d’alimentation clignote.
•L’unité choisit le mode d’opération toutes les 10 minutes selon le réglage de la température ambiante
(pour le système Monosplit).
•L’unité choisit le mode d’opération toutes les 3 heures selon le réglage de la température extérieure et ambiante (pour le système Multisplit).
MODE DE CHAUFFAGE - Pour un air chaud
•La chauffe de l’unité prend un peu de temps. Le témoin d’alimentation clignote lors de cette opération.
MODE DE REFROIDISSEMENT - Pour un air frais
•Utilisez des rideaux pour faire barrage à la lumière du soleil et à la chaleur extérieure pour réduire la consommation d’énergie en mode de refroidissement.
MODE DÉSHUMIDIFICATION - Pour déshumidifier l’atmosphère
•L’unité fonctionne en vitesse lente du ventilateur pour fournir un refroidissement en douceur.
