FCC Regulation Notice for modem This equipment contains a FCC approved modem.

1. This equipment complies with CFR47 Part 68 rules.

On the computer is a label that contains, among other

information, the FCC registration number and ringer

equivalence number (REN) for this equipment. If re-

quired, this information must be provided to the tele-

phone company.

2. An FCC compliant telephone cord and modular plug

is provided with this equipment. This equipment is

designed to be connected to the telephone network

or premises wiring using a compatible modular jack

which is Part 68 compliant. See Installation Instruc-

tions for details.

3. The REN is used to determine the quantity of devices

cessive RENs on the telephone line may result in the

devices not ringing in response to an incoming call. In

10. According to the FCC’s electrical safety advisory, we recommend that you may install an AC surge arrestor in the AC outlet to which this equipment is connected. Telephone companies report that electrical surges, typically lightning transients, are very destructive to customer terminal equipment connected to AC power sources and that this is a major nationwide problem.

Warning This apparatus must be earthed for your safety.

To ensure safe operation the three-pin plug must be inserted only into a standard three-pin power point which is effectively earthed through the normal household wiring. Extension cords used with the equipment must be three-core and be correctly wired to provide connection to earth. Wrongly wired extension cords are a major cause of fatalities. The fact that the equipment operates satisfactorily does not imply that the power point is earthed and that the installation is completely safe. This appliance is supplied with a moulded three pin mains plug for your safety and convenience. A 3 amp fuse is  tted in this plug. Should the fuse need to be replaced please ensure that the replacement fuse has a rating of 3 amps and that it is approved by ASTA or BSI to BS 1362.

For Garage Use

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using your garage equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

Read all instructions.

Care must be taken as burns can occur from touching hot parts.

Do not operate equipment with a damaged cord or if the equipment has been dropped or damaged - until it has

been examined by a quali ed serviceman.

Do not let cord hang over edge of table, bench, or counter or come in contact with hot manifolds or moving fan

If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a current rating equal to more than that of the equipment should be

The battery pack is rechargeable and was intended for the speci ed product. If it is used with a product other than the one for which it was designed, electrolyte leakage, generation of heat, ignition or rupture may result.

Do Not Charge the Battery Using Methods Other Than Those Speci ed

If the battery is not charged using one of the speci ed methods, electrolyte leakage, generation of heat, ignition or rupture may result.

Do Not Throw the Battery Pack into a Fire or Expose It to Excessive Heat

Avoid Extreme Heat (Near the Fire, in Direct Sunlight, for Example)

Do Not Use This Product With a Battery Pack Other Than the One Speci ed

Use only the speci ed battery pack (CF-VZSU46U) with your product. Use of battery packs other than those manufactured and supplied by Panasonic may present a safety hazard (generation of heat, ignition or rupture).

When the battery pack has become degraded, replace it with a new one

Continued use of a degraded battery pack may generate high levels of heat, cause a  re to start and cause the pack to burst or explode.

Do not touch the terminals on the battery pack. The bat-

tery pack may no longer function properly if the contacts are dirty or damaged.

Do not expose the battery pack to water, or allow it to

become wet.

If the battery pack will not be used for a long period of

time (a month or more), charge or discharge (use) the battery pack until the remaining battery level becomes 30% to 40% and store it in a cool, dry place.

This computer prevents overcharging of the battery by

recharging only when the remaining power is less than approx. 95% of capacity.

The battery pack is not charged when the computer is

 rst purchased. Be sure to charge it before using it for the  rst time. When the AC adaptor is connected to the computer, charging begins automatically.

Should the battery leak and the  uid get into your eyes,

do not rub your eyes. Immediately  ush your eyes with clear water and see a doctor for medical treatment as soon as possible.

NOTE

The battery pack may become warm during recharg-

ing or normal use. This is completely normal.

Recharging will not commence if internal temperature

of the battery pack is outside of the allowable temperature range (0 °C to 50 °C) (

Reference Manual

“Battery Power”). Once the allowable range requirement is satis ed, charging begins automatically. Note that the recharging time varies based on the usage conditions. (Recharging takes longer than usual when the temperature is 10 °C or below.)

If the temperature is low, the operating time is short-

ened. Only use the computer within the allowable temperature range.

This computer has a high temperature mode function

that prevents the degradation of the battery in high temperature environments. (

Reference Manual

“Battery Power”) A level corresponding to a 100% charge for high temperature mode is approximately equivalent to an 80% charge level for normal temperature mode.

The battery pack is a consumable item. If the amount

of time the computer can be run by using a particular battery pack becomes dramatically shorter and repeated recharging does not restore its performance, the battery pack should be replaced with a new one.

When transporting a spare battery inside a package,

briefcase, etc., it is recommended that it be placed in a plastic bag so that its contacts are protected.

Always power off the computer when it is not in use.

Leaving the computer on when the AC adaptor is not connected will exhaust the remaining battery capacity (

Reference Manual “LAN”).

WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

Wenn Sie Ihre Werkstattgeräte verwenden, sollten Sie immer die grundlegenden Sicherheitsbestimmungen beachten. Dazu gehören u. a. folgende Punkte:

Lesen Sie alle Anweisungen.

Gehen Sie sorgfältig vor. Das Berühren heißer Teile kann Verbrennungen verursachen.

Verwenden Sie keine Geräte mit schadhaftem Netzkabel oder Geräte, die heruntergefallen oder beschädigt sind. Lassen

Sie diese Geräte von einem quali zierten Servicetechniker überprüfen.

Lassen Sie das Netzkabel nicht über Tischkanten, Bänke oder Tresen hängen, und achten Sie darauf, dass das

Netzkabel nicht mit heißen Motorteilen (z. B. Krümmer) oder rotierenden Kühler-/Ventilator ügeln in Kontakt gerät.

Wenn ein Verlängerungskabel erforderlich ist, muss ein Kabel verwendet werden, das für höhere Nennströme ausgelegt

ist als das angeschlossene Gerät. Kabel, die für geringere Nennströme als die angeschlossenen Geräte ausgelegt sind,

können leicht überhitzen. Das Netzkabel ist so zu verlegen, dass niemand versehentlich darauf treten, darüber fallen

oder daran ziehen kann.

Die Weiterverwendung eines beschädigten Kabels kann zu Bränden, Kurzschlüssen oder Stromschlägen führen.

Das Ein- oder Ausstecken des Netzsteckers darf nicht mit nassen Händen erfolgen

Es besteht Stromschlaggefahr.

Befreien Sie den Netzstecker regelmäßig von Staub und anderen Rückständen

Wenn Staub oder andere Rückstände sich auf dem Stecker ansammeln, kann es durch Feuchtigkeit usw. zu Schäden an der Isolierung kommen, die zu einem Brand führen können.

Stecken Sie den Netzstecker aus und wischen Sie ihn mit einem trockenen Tuch ab. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker ab, wenn der Computer über längere Zeit nicht verwendet wird.

Wenn der Stecker nicht ganz eingesteckt ist, kann es durch Überhitzung oder Stromschläge zu einem Brand kommen.

Verwenden Sie keine beschädigten oder lockeren Steckdosen.

Achten Sie auf festen Sitz der Anschlussabdeckung bei Verwendung dieses Produkts in Umgebung von Wasser, Feuchtigkeit, Dampf, Staub, öligen Dämpfen usw.

Das Eindringen von Fremdkörpern kann zu Bränden oder Stromschlägen führen.

Wenn Fremdkörper hineingelangen sollten, schalten Sie das Gerät sofort aus, entfernen Sie den Netzstecker und dann das Akkupack. Wenden Sie sich anschließend an den technischen Kundendienst.

Bei niedrigen Temperaturen verringert sich die Betriebszeit

des Akkus. Verwenden Sie den Computer nur innerhalb des zulässigen Temperaturbereichs.

Dieser Computer verfügt über eine Hochtemperaturmodus-

Funktion, mit der eine Verminderung der Akkuleistung in Umgebungen mit hohen Temperaturen vermieden werden kann. (

Reference Manual “Battery Power”) Ein Au adungsstand von 100% im Hochtemperaturmodus entspricht etwa einer 80 % Au adung im Normaltemperaturmodus.

Das Akkupack ist ein Verbrauchsartikel. Wenn sich die Laufzeit eines Akkupacks drastisch verkürzt und dies nicht mehr durch wiederholtes Au aden behoben werden kann, sollten Sie den Akku durch einen neuen ersetzen.

Beim Transport eines Ersatz-Akkus in einer Verpackung, einer Aktentasche, etc. empfehlen wir, ihn in eine Plastiktüte zu legen, um die Kontakte zu schützen.

Pour sa propre protection, l’utilisateur doit s’assurer que tous les  ls de mise à la terre de la source d’énergie électrique, des lignes téléphoniques et des canalisations d’eau métalliques, s’il y en a, sont raccordés ensemble. Cette précaution est particulièrement importante dans les régions rurales. Ne pas insérer ni retirer la  che C.A. les mains mouillées

Eliminer régulièrement la poussière et d’autres résidus de la  che C.A.

Si de la poussière ou d’autres résidus s’accumulent sur la  che, si celle-ci est humide, par exemple, cela pourrait entraîner une défaillance de l’isolation et provoquer un incendie.

Retirer la  che et l’essuyer avec un chiffon sec. Retirer la

Si vous n’utilisez pas la batterie pendant une période

prolongée (un mois ou plus), chargez-la ou déchargez-la (utilisez-la) jusqu’à ce que son niveau de charge se situe entre 30% et 40% de sa capacité maximale et gardez-la dans un endroit frais et sec.

Cet ordinateur protège la batterie contre une éventuelle

surcharge en ne déclenchant son rechargement que lorsque sa charge est inférieure à 95% environ de sa capacité maximale.

À l’achat de l’ordinateur, la batterie n’est pas chargée.

Chargez-la avant d’utiliser votre ordinateur pour la première fois. Lorsque l’adaptateur secteur est branché sur l’ ordinateur, la charge démarre automatiquement.

En cas de contact du liquide de la batterie avec les yeux,

surtout ne les frottez pas. Rincez-les immédiatement avec de l’eau et consultez un médecin.

La batterie peut chauffer pendant la charge ou

l’utilisation normale. Il s’agit d’un phénomène tout à fait normal.

La charge ne peut commencer si la température

interne de la batterie excède la plage de températures acceptable (0 °C à 50 °C). (

Reference Manual “Battery Power”) La charge commence automatiquement lorsque la température revient dans les limites autorisées. Il est important de noter que le temps de charge varie en fonction des conditions d’utilisation. (Le temps de charge est plus long que d’habitude lorsque la température est inférieure ou égale à 10 °C.)

Lorsque la température est basse, l’autonomie est

diminuée. N’utilisez l’ordinateur que dans la plage de températures autorisée.

limitée. Si le temps d’utilisation de la batterie est considérablement réduit et si ses performances ne s’ améliorent pas lorsqu’elle est rechargée à plusieurs reprises, remplacez-la par une nouvelle batterie.

Lorsque vous transportez une batterie de rechange

dans un bagage, une valise, etc., nous vous recommandons de la placer dans un sac en plastique a n d’en protéger les bornes.

Mettez toujours l’ordinateur hors tension lorsque

vous ne l’utilisez pas. Si vous laissez l’ordinateur sous tension alors que l’adaptateur secteur n’est pas branché, vous risquez de décharger complètement la batterie (

IMPORTANTI NORME DI SICUREZZA

Quando si usa l'attrezzatura del garage, bisogna sempre osservare le precauzioni di base per la sicurezza, comprese quelle di seguito:

Leggere tutte le istruzioni.

Fare attenzione che se si toccano parti calde c'è pericolo di scottature.

Non far funzionare l’apparecchio se il cavo di alimentazione è danneggiato o se è caduto o danneggiato,  nché non

è stato esaminato da un tecnico quali cato.

Evitare che il cavo di alimentazione sporga dal bordo di un tavolo, sedia o bancone, e che venga a contatto con

manicotti d'aria calda o lame mobili di un ventilatore.

Se è necessario un cavo di prolunga, bisogna usare un cavo con una taratura di corrente uguale o superiore

a quella dell’apparecchio. I cavi con una taratura di corrente inferiore a quella dell’apparecchio potrebbero surriscaldarsi. Fare attenzione a disporre il cavo in modo da non inciamparvi sopra o di strattonarlo.

Staccare sempre il cavo di alimentazione dalla presa di corrente quando non si usa l’apparecchio. Non staccare

mai la spina tirando il cavo. Prendere la spina e tirarla fuori dalla presa per scollegare il cavo.

Lasciare raffreddare completamente l’apparecchio prima di toglierlo via. Avvolgere allentatamente il cavo intorno

all’apparecchio quando lo si mette in da parte.

Per ridurre il rischio d’incendio, non usare l’apparecchio vicino a contenitori aperti di liquidi in ammabili (benzina).

Provvedere ad una ventilazione adeguata quando si lavora sui motori a combustione interna.

Per ridurre il rischio di scosse elettriche, non usare l’apparecchio su super ci bagnate o esposte alla pioggia.

Lo sviluppo del modello CF-30 si basa su uno studio accurato condotto negli ambienti reali in cui vengono utilizzati i computer portatili. Il costante tentativo di raggiungere le caratteristiche di facilità di utilizzo e af dabilità nelle condizioni più estreme ha portato allo sviluppo di elementi innovativi quali il rivestimento in lega di magnesio, il drive antivibrazione sia per il disco  sso che per il dischetto e connessioni interne  essibili. Le incredibili caratteristiche tecniche del modello CF-30 sono state collaudate utilizzando le severe procedure basate su MIL-STD- 810F (per la resistenza a vibrazioni e urti) e IP (per la resistenza a polvere e acqua). Come per qualsiasi altro computer portatile, si consiglia di maneggiarlo con cura al  ne di evitare eventuali danni. Si raccomanda di attenersi alle procedure di utilizzo e funzionamento seguenti.

Prima di riporre il computer, assicurarsi di pulirlo con un panno per eliminare eventuale umidità.

Non danneggiare o modi care il cavo, posizionarlo in prossimità di dispositivi caldi, piegarlo, intrecciarlo o forzarlo in posizione, sovrapporvi oggetti pesanti o stringerlo. L’utilizzo continuativo di un cavo danneggiato può provocare incendi, corto circuiti o scosse elettriche.

Non tirare o inserire la spina CA con le mani bagnate

Pericolo di scosse elettriche.

Pulire regolarmente la spina CA da polvere e sporcizia

Se polvere, sporcizia, umidità si accumulano sulla spina, l’isolamento potrebbe risultare compromesso, con pericolo di incendio.

Staccare la spina, pulirla con uno straccio asciutto.

Staccare la spina in caso di inutilizzo prolungato del computer.

Inserire a fondo la spina CA

Se non si inserisce completamente la spina, si potrebbero veri care incendi dovuti a surriscaldamento o scosse elettriche.

Non utilizzare una spina danneggiata o una presa CA non

 ssata saldamente.

Chiudere con cura il coperchio dei connettori se si utilizza questo prodotto in presenza di acqua, umidità, vapore, polvere, vapori d’olio, e così via.

L’ingresso di materiali estranei può provocare incendi o scosse elettriche.

In caso di ingresso di materiali estranei all’interno del

prodotto, interrompere immediatamente l’alimentazione e scollegare la spina CA, quindi rimuovere il gruppo batteria. Rivolgersi all’assistenza tecnica.

Non smontare questo prodotto

Presenza di aree ad alta tensione che possono provocare scosse elettriche in caso di contatto. Non toccare pin e schede all’interno e fare attenzione che materiali estranei non entrino all’interno. Pericolo di incendio in caso di smontaggio e riassemblaggio se non si seguono le procedure corrette.

Tenere le schede di memoria SD lontano da neonati e bambini piccoli

Non caricare la batteria utilizzando metodi diversi da quelli speci cati

Non gettare la batteria nel fuoco né esporla a calore eccessivo

Quando la batteria è usurata, sostituirla con una nuova

Se si continua a usare una batteria usurata, potrebbe generare alti livelli di calore, causare un incendio, scoppiare o esplodere.

Non toccare i terminali del gruppo batterie. Il gruppo

batteria potrebbe non funzionare più in modo corretto in caso di contatti sporchi o danneggiati.

Non esporre il gruppo batterie all’acqua ed evitare che si

bagni.

Se non si utilizza la batteria per un lungo periodo (un

mese o più), caricare o scaricare (utilizzare) la batteria  nché non raggiunge un livello residuo di carica compreso tra il 30% e il 40% e conservarla quindi in un luogo fresco ed asciutto.

Questo computer impedisce il sovraccarico della batteria

ricaricandola solamente quando la carica residua è inferiore al 95% circa della capacità totale.

Al momento dell’acquisto del computer, il gruppo batteria

non è carico. Assicurarsi di caricarlo prima di utilizzare il computer per la prima volta. La ricarica ha inizio automaticamente quando si collega l’adattatore CA al computer.

Nel caso in cui del liquido fuoriuscito dalla batteria entri

in contatto con gli occhi, non stropicciarli. Lavare immediatamente gli occhi con acqua e rivolgersi al più presto ad un medico per richiedere un trattamento specialistico.

NOTA

Il gruppo batteria può scaldarsi durante la procedura

di ricarica o il normale utilizzo. Questo è del tutto normale.

La ricarica non verrà avviata se la temperatura interna

del gruppo batteria non rientra nell’intervallo della temperatura consentita (da 0 °C a 50 °C). (

Reference Manual “Battery Power”). Una volta che la temperatura rientra nell’intervallo consentito, la ricarica viene avviata automaticamente. Tenere presente che il tempo di ricarica varia in base alle condizioni d’uso. (La ricarica richiede un tempo maggiore quando la temperatura è pari o inferiore a 10 °C.)

Non spostare questo prodotto se la spina CA è collegata

È possibile danneggiare il cavo CA provocando incendi o scosse elettriche.
