PA-7550 Caller ID Telephone User’s Guide
Thank you for purchasing Panacom’s telephone PA-7550. Please read the manual carefully before operating.
Thank you for your purchasing the multi-functional telephone which adopts the up-to-the-minute integrated circuit, high quality liquid crystal display with superior craftwork and stable capability. Please read the manual carefully for proper use.
Installation methods, Cautions and Daily Maintenance
1. The telephone should be installed in dry, ventilated, and non­gas-erosive places.
2. Insert one end of the line cord to the line jack of the base and the other end to the wall outlet of exchange.
3. Avoid strong compact to the telephone. the telephone should not be put in high temperature, thick dust and moist places for better use.
4. Please keep the telephone clean to protect your health.
5. Apply for the caller ID from your local telecom ofce.
Main Functions:
1. Caller ID nction, FSK/DTMF system compatible with auto-detection.
2. Up ot DOWN key to check, Delete, outgoing check, Redial function.
3. Local area code setting.
4. Auto IP rapid dialing function
5. Calendar and real-time clock and week display.
6. Single key for redial number.
7. Anti-lightning protection
8. P-T dialing mode compatible
System Set Up.
In on-hook state, press SET to enter to SET mode. LCD will dis­play “SET 1 DATE”, you can press UP or DOWN key to select the different item to set. When you choose one item. Press SET key

again to go into the setting and press UP or DOWN key to change the default setting. When nished, press SET to conrm and go into the next item setting. You can leave the set up mode at any time with DEL key.
Date and Time Setting
In on hook state, press SET key, LCD will display “SET 1 DATE”, press SET to conrm. Press SET again, the digit for year will ash, use UP or DOWN key to edit the year, then press SET to conrm and carry on the next step set the month. Repeat the same operation to set the month, day and the real time clock. When nished, LCD will display the correspond calendar.
The Area Code Setting
In on hook state, Press SET key then press UP key, LCD will display “SET 2 CODE” , then press SET to conrm. LCD will display “CODE:
---“ and “ - ” will be ash to indicate to set rst area code. Press UP or DOWN and then press SET key to select the rst or second area code or edit it from 0 to 9, and press SET to enter. Press UP or DOWN to adjust the area code number and press SET to conrm. Repeat this operation to the last digit.
P-CODE Setting
In on hook state, press SET key then press U key twice, LCD will dis­play SET 3 P OCDE, press SET to conrm, LCD will display LCODE
--- , and “ – ” will ash to indicate to set rst long distance code or press UP or DOWN key to select the second ‘ – ’ press SET key to conrm. Repeat this operation to the last digit.
AUTO-IP Setting. In on hook state, press SET key and then press UP key three times, LCD will display SET 4 AUTO IP, press SET to conrm, and LCD will display AUTO IP OFF and the OFF will ash. Press UP or DOWN key to turn ON or OFF the auto IP dialing function. if you select the AUTO IP ON, press SET to conrm and the LCD will display INPUT CODE, you can input the IP service number, card number and the security number with DEL key to correct the input mistake. When nish, press SET to exit, after you turn to the auto IP function, every time in –

hook state, you dial out the phone number the system will auto add 0 aheaded with phone number and dial out. or dial back call aheaded with “0” the stored IP code will dialed rst and ahead with --- display and ash. For example : store IP NO. 17909. if you have stored the IP No. 17909 according above proceeding
Tone/ Pulse Dialing mode
In on hook state, press SET key and then press UP key for four times, LCD will display SET 5 P-T, then press SET to conrm. LCD display “TONE”, press UP or DOWN to choose PULSE or TONE, af­ter nished, Pulse or Tone dialing way set and conrmed, press SET key to conrm and exit.
Alarm Clock Setting
In on hook state, press SET key and press DOWN key, LCD will dis­play SET 7 RLERL, This function is not available.
Incoming call receiving
When receiving a phone call, the telephone will detect the FSK or DTMF format and display the calling number. if this is a FSK format caller ID signal, the current date and time display will also be up­dated. If this is a DTMD format caller ID signal, the current date and time will not be changed. if this is a newly coming call, the “NEW” icon will be displayed. if the incoming call is a repeat number, the “REP” icon will be displayed. if the incoming call is a private call, the icon “----P---” will be displayed. if the incoming call is out of area, the icon “----0----” will be displayed. if a wrong number comes in, the Error will be displayed ‘----E----’.
Check incoming calls
You can pick up the handset then use UP or DOWN key to check the incoming call information including phone number, date and time, press UP or DOWN key for more than 3 second to quickly check incoming calls.
Dial back the incoming calls
If you can back a local call, you can direct dial back with REDIAL key. If you want to dial back a long distance call, you can press REDIAL key twice, the phone system will automatically add 0 ahead of the phone

number and dial back, should be press REDIAL key and directly pick up the handset at once (or the phone number can not be dial back).
Check Outgoing calls
Press “OUT” key when handset is on or off the Base. LCD displays the last dialed number with conversation time. Press “OUT” Key again to view more outgoing numbers. In the end of list, LCD displays ---- END---- indicating all the num­bers in Outgoing list has been Checked. Press UP Key for 3 seconds, you can quickly check Outgoing Calls.
Delete Function
Inset mode, DEL key is used to quit set. When you use pre-dial function, DEL is used to correct the input mistake. When you check the incoming call memories, DEL key is used to de­lete the unwanted memory. If you press DEL key and do not release for more than 4 second, all memories will be deleted When you check the dialed call memories, DEL key is used to delete the unwanted memory. If you press DEL key and to not release for more than 4 second, all memories will be deleted.
On hook: Hand off the handset Off hook: Pick up the handset Dial number and conversation: Pick up the handset and hear the dial tone then directly dial your desire number.
Redial
If your line is busy, hang off or press FLASH key. After a while, pick up the handset. After hearing the dialing tone, Press “RD” key. The last number dialed will be dialed out.
Trouble Shooting
No voice: Check if the handset is on the phone or line is broken
