Important Safety Instructions

5) Do not use this apparatus near water.
6) Clean only with dry cloth.
7) Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
8) Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9) Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarised or grounding-type plug. A polarised plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.

10) Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11) Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12) Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer. or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
13) Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for a long periods of time.
14) Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

Introduction
For safety, please use the original box and packing materials, and keep the mode of packing same as the original.
When you repackage this product. Do not place this product near the volatile liquid such as insecticide.
It is normal for the cover and rear panel become warm after the player has been operating for a long time.
Do not move this product during playback. Otherwise, it may cause damage to the pick-up and the disc.
Press OPEN/CLOSE on the front panel or remote to open or close the disc tray. While it is opening or closing, do not push, or touch the tray.

Illuminates when a DVD disc is loaded. Wheel during playback. Illuminates during menu play (VCD/SVCD). Indicate the track number (CD/VCD/SVCD). Indicates the total playing time on a disc. Illuminates when audio is DOLBY out. Illuminate during playback is paused. Illuminate during repeat playback. Repeat of chapter (DVD) / track (CD/VCD/SVCD). Repeat of title (DVD) / entire disc contents (CD/VCD/SVCD). Illuminates during playback. Illuminate when an MP3 disc is loaded. Illuminates VCD when a VCD disc is loaded and illuminate SVCD when a Super-VCD disc is loaded and illuminate CD when a CD disc is loaded.

Notes:
Set player's Downmix mode to "Stereo" in the Speaker Setup Page (See page 17). There are three ways of connecting the player's AV output to the TV set:
1. YUV cord and left/right cable (set the [component] to [YUV], see page 25).
2. S-video cable and left/right audio cable (set the [component] to [off], see page 25).
3. Composite video cord and left/right audio cable (set the [component ] to [off], see page 25).

Notes:
1. Set player's SPDIF mode to "SPDIF/RAW" or "SPDIF/PCM" in the SPDIC Setup page (see page 19).
2. Set either the Optical or the Coaxial digital audio output.
3. Set the amplifier to the AV input connected to the DVD player.

Basic Operation
Preparation before playing:
1. Connect your DVD player to the TV and amplifier.
2. Turn on the television, and select the AV input channel you have connected.
3. Turn down the amplifier volume and turn on the power of amplifier, then select the audio input to the channel you have connected.
Basic Playback
Step 1 - Press the POWER
switch, the player will start. "LOAD" is illuminated, on the display and the logo is displayed on TV screen.
Step 2 - Press OPEN/CLOSE button either on front panel or remote control. The player displays "OPEN" on the display. When the tray is open, please put the disc on the tray, with the label side up. Press OPEN/CLOSE again to Close the disc tray.
Step 3 - Press the PLAY button on the front panel or remote control. The player will automatically read and identify the disc, display the type and total time, and begin play.
