INTENDED USE

This product is a device for event technology, as well as studio, TV and broadcast!

▶ The product has been developed for professional use in the event technology, studio, TV and broadcast sectors.

▶ Furthermore, this product is only intended for qualiﬁed users with specialist knowledge of event technology, as

well as studio, TV and broadcast!

▶ Use of the product outside the speciﬁed technical data and operating conditions is considered improper use!

▶ Liability for damage and third-party damage to persons and property due to inappropriate use is excluded!

▶ The product is not suitable for:

▶ Use by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and

knowledge.

▶ Children (children must be instructed not to play with the device).

This symbol indicates hazards caused by hot surfaces.

DANGER:

1. Do not open the device and do not make any modiﬁcations.

2. If your device no longer functions properly, if liquids or objects get inside it or if it has been damaged in any other way, switch it off immediately and disconnect it from the mains. The device may be repaired only by authorised repair technicians.

3. For devices of protection class 1 the protective conductor must be connected correctly. Never disconnect the protective conductor. Devices of protection class 2 do not have a protective earth conductor.

4. Ensure that live cables are not kinked or otherwise mechanically damaged.

5. Never bypass the device fuse.

WARNING:

1. The device must not be used if it shows obvious signs of damage.

2. The device may only be installed in a voltage-free state.

3. If the power cable or power supply unit of the device is damaged, the device must not be put into operation.

4. Permanently connected power cables may only be replaced by a qualiﬁed person.

ATTENTION:

1. Do not switch on the device if it has been exposed to extreme temperature ﬂuctuations (for example, following transport). Moisture and condensation can damage the device. Switch on the device only when it has reached ambient temperature.

2. Ensure that the voltage and frequency of the mains supply match the values speciﬁed on the device. If the device has a voltage selector switch, do not turn the device on until it has been set correctly. Use only suitable power cables.

3. To disconnect the device completely from the power supply, unplug the power cable or the power adapter from the socket. It is not sufﬁcient to press the on/off switch on the device. In addition, a connected ampliﬁer must also be disconnected from the device!

4. Make sure that the fuse used corresponds to the type printed on the device.

5. Ensure that suitable measures have been taken against overvoltage (e.g. lightning strikes).

6. Observe the speciﬁed maximum output current on devices with a Power Out connection. Ensure that the total current consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the speciﬁed value.

7. Replace plug-in power cables with original cables only.

DANGER:

1. Choking hazard! Plastic bags and small parts must be kept out of reach of persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities.

2. Risk of falling! Make sure that the device is securely installed and cannot fall down. Only use suitable stands or mounts (particularly for ﬁxed installations). Ensure that accessories are properly installed and secured. Ensure that all applicable safety regulations are observed.

WARNING:

1. Use the device in the prescribed manner only.

2. Operate the device using only accessories of the type recommended and supplied by the manufacturer.

3. Observe safety regulations applicable in your country during installation.

4. After connecting the device, ensure that all cables are routed so as to avoid damage or accidents, such as from tripping.

5. Be sure to observe the speciﬁed minimum distance to normally ﬂammable materials! Unless explicitly stated, the minimum distance is 0.3 m.

CAUTION:

Moving components such as mounting brackets pose a jamming hazard.

ATTENTION:

1. Do not install or use the device in the vicinity of radiators, accumulators, stoves, or other heat sources. Ensure that the device is always installed in such a way that it is sufﬁciently cooled and cannot overheat.

2. Do not place any ignition sources, such as burning candles, near the device.

3. Ventilation openings must not be covered and fans must not be blocked.

4. For transport, use the original packaging or packaging provided by the manufacturer.

5. Avoid any impacts to or shaking of the device.

6. Observe the IP rating and the ambient conditions such as temperature and humidity according to the speciﬁcations.

7. Devices can always be further improved. In the event of any discrepancies between the operating instructions and the device labelling with regard to operating conditions, performance or other device characteristics, the information on the device always takes precedence.

8. The device is not suitable for tropical climate zones or for operation over 2,000m above sea level.

9. Unless explicitly stated, the device is not suitable for operation under marine conditions.

PLEASE NOTE: For conversion or retroﬁt sets or accessories provided by the manufacturer, it is essential to observe the included instructions.

CAUTION, HIGH VOLUME AUDIO PRODUCTS!

This device is designed for professional use. The commercial operation of this device is subject to the applicable national regulations and guidelines for accident prevention.

Hearing damage due to high volume and continuous exposure: Use of this product may generate high sound pressure levels (SPL) that may cause hearing damage. Avoid exposure to high volumes.

CAUTION: Connecting signal cables and switching operations (e.g. switching phantom power on and off) can cause considerable noise. Make sure that input channels (mixer, audio interface, effects device, etc.) are muted while making connections and operating switches. Otherwise, noise levels may cause damage.

WARNING: To completely de-energise the device, unplug the mains adapter from the socket AND disconnect any connected ampliﬁer from the device.

CAUTION: Make sure that the ventilation openings in the housing of the device are not covered during operation and that air can circulate freely, especially when rack-mounted!

NOTE: Strong magnetic ﬁelds can cause humming. Therefore, do not position the device in the vicinity of strong magnetic ﬁelds (e.g. mains transformer).

NOTES FOR PORTABLE INDOOR DEVICES:

1. Temporary operation! Event equipment is generally only designed for temporary operation.

2. Continuous operation or permanent installation can impair the functioning of the device and cause premature ageing.

INTRODUCTION

The Palmer BRIDGE 4A has 4 independent channels, which are technically identical. It is a professional tool for studio and stage, which converts an unbalanced audio signal into a balanced audio signal without distortion. The internal transformer offers excellent dynamic range and outstanding overload stability. The DI box is used as a connecting link to connect string instruments with pickups, such as electric acoustic guitars, electric guitars and electric basses, instruments with line outputs, such as keyboards, as well as loudspeaker outputs from guitar ampliﬁers to balanced inputs of a mixer or audio interface. In addition, the DI box allows for interference-free transmission of audio signals over long cable runs.

WARNING: Power ampliﬁers must not be operated in bridge mode when connected to the DI box.

WARNING: If an ampliﬁer is connected to the DI box, the ground connection between input and output must be disconnected (switch no. 4 in position LIFT (not pressed)).

WARNING: The output power of a connected ampliﬁer must not exceed 120 W at 8 ohms!

ATTENTION: When using a tube ampliﬁer: There is no load resistor in the DI box circuit! To prevent damage to the ampliﬁer, an appropriate guitar speaker or a suitable load resistor must be connected to the THRU jack using a speaker cable before switching on the ampliﬁer!

CONNECTIONS, OPERATING AND DISPLAY ELEMENTS - FRONT SIDE

1. INPUT 1 - 4

Audio inputs with 6.3 mm jack sockets (suitable for unbalanced and balanced cabling). A. Connect an instrument using a shielded instrument cable. B. Connect the speaker output of a guitar amplifier using a speaker cable (tip: press PAD switch no. 3).

2. THRU 1 - 4

The unaltered input signals of channels 1 - 4 are output via the THRU 1 to 4 6.3 mm jack sockets.

3. PAD 1 - 4 (Passive Attenuation Device)

Press the switch to reduce the level of the output signal by 30 dB. The output level must be reduced if the channel input stage of the connected mixing console or audio interface is overdriven.

4. LIFT / GND 1 - 4

Switch for disconnecting the ground connection between the input and output (ground lift). In the non-pressed position, the ground connection is disconnected; the connection is established when the switch is pressed. The ability to prevent a humming loop using the ground lift switch depends on the grounding of the connected devices. It is therefore possible that either switch position effectively reduces or eliminates humming.

5. OUTPUT 1 - 4

Balanced line outputs with 3-pin XLR sockets. Use shielded audio cables (e.g. microphone cables) to connect the DI box to a balanced input of a mixer or audio interface.

6. POWER LED

The power LED lights up when the device is supplied with the required voltage.

7. STRAIN RELIEF

Use the strain relief for the ﬂexible cable of the power supply unit of the device to protect the low-voltage power supply socket and plug from damage and to prevent the plug from being pulled out unintentionally.

8. POWER INPUT

Low-voltage socket for supplying power to the device. To avoid damage to the device, please use only the original power supply (included in the packaging content).

9. OUTPUT 1 – 4

Balanced line outputs with 3-pin XLR sockets. Use shielded audio cables to connect the Line Isolation Box to a balanced input of a mixer or audio interface.

10. LIFT / GND 1 OUTPUT 1 - 4 AoC

Switch for disconnecting the ground connection between inputs and outputs (ground lift). In the non-pressed position, the ground connection is disconnected; the connection is established when the switch is pressed. The ability to prevent a humming loop using the ground lift switch depends on the grounding of the connected devices. It is therefore possible that either switch position is able to effectively reduce or eliminate humming.

11. OUTPUT 1 - 4 AoC

Balanced line outputs 1 to 4 with lockable etherCON socket. Separate and analogue transmission of channels 1 to 4 via network cable to a compatible device with an RJ45 socket (cable type Cat5e or better, 4 wire pairs plus shielding).

NOTES

 The line outputs on the front and rear are galvanically isolated from the line inputs.  If several line outputs are used simultaneously on one channel, the signal level may be slightly reduced.

CARE, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR

In order to ensure the long-term, proper functioning of the device, it must be regularly cleaned and, if necessary, serviced. The maintenance requirement depends on the intensity of use and the environment in which it is used.

We recommend a visual inspection before each operation. Furthermore, we recommend carrying out all the applicable maintenance measures speciﬁed below once every 500 operating hours or, in the case of a lower intensity of use, at the latest after one year. Warranty claims may be limited should defects result from inadequate service and maintenance.

GEFAHR:

EINFÜHRUNG

Die Palmer BRIDGE 4A verfügt über 4 unabhängige Kanäle, welche technisch identisch aufgebaut sind. Sie ist ein professionelles Werkzeug für Studio und Bühne, welches ein unsymmetrisches Audiosignal unverfälscht in ein symmetrisches Audiosignal wandelt. Der interne Übertrager bietet hervorragenden Dynamikumfang und ausgezeichnete Übersteuerungsfestigkeit. Die DI-box wird als Verbindungsglied dafür verwendet, Saiteninstrumente mit Tonabnehmern, wie E-Akustik-Gitarren, E-Gitarren und E-Bässe, Instrumente mit Line-Ausgang, wie beispielsweise Keyboards, sowie Lautsprecherausgänge von Gitarrenverstärkern an symmetrische Eingänge eines Mischpults oder Audio-Interfaces anzuschließen. Audiosignale können mit Hilfe der DI-Box außerdem über weite Kabelwege brummfrei übertragen werden.

WARNUNG: Endstufen dürfen nicht im Brückenmodus (Bridge Mode) an der DI-box betrieben werden.

WARNUNG: Wenn ein Verstärker an der DI-box betrieben wird, muss die Masseverbindung zwischen

ANSCHLÜSSE, BEDIEN- UND ANZEIGEELEMENTE – VORDERSEITE

1. INPUT 1 - 4

Audioeingänge mit 6,3 mm Klinkenbuchsen (für unsymmetrische und symmetrische Verkabelung geeignet). A. Schließen Sie ein Instrument mit Hilfe eines abgeschirmten Instrumentenkabels an. B. Schließen Sie den Lautsprecherausgang eines Gitarrenverstärkers mit Hilfe eines Lautsprecherkabels an (Tipp: PAD-Schalter Nr. 3 drücken).

2. THRU 1 - 4

Die Eingangssignale der Kanäle 1 - 4 werden unverändert über die 6,3 mm Klinkenbuchsen THRU 1 bis 4 ausgegeben.

3. PAD 1 - 4 (Passive Attenuation Device)

Bringen Sie den Schalter in die gedrückte Position, um den Pegel des Ausgangssignals um 30 dB abzusenken. Das Absenken des Ausgangspegels ist erforderlich, wenn die Kanaleingangsstufe des angeschlossenen Mischpults oder Audio-Interfaces übersteuert wird.

4. LIFT / GND 1 - 4

Schalter zum Trennen der Masseverbindung von Ein- und Ausgang (Ground Lift). In der nicht gedrückten Position ist die Masseverbindung getrennt, die Verbindung besteht bei gedrückter Position. Die Fähigkeit, mit Hilfe des Ground Lift-Schalters eine Brummschleife zu verhindern, hängt von der Erdung der angeschlossenen Geräte ab. Es besteht daher die Möglichkeit, dass sowohl die eine, als auch die andere Schalterposition in der Lage ist, ein Brummen wirkungsvoll zu reduzieren bzw. zu beseitigen.

5. OUTPUT 1 - 4

Symmetrische Line-Ausgänge mit 3-Pol XLR-Buchsen. Verwenden Sie abgeschirmte Audiokabel (z. B. Mikrofonkabel), um die DI-Box an einen symmetrischen Eingang eines Mischpults oder Audio-Interfaces anzuschließen.

Die Power-LED leuchtet, sobald das Gerät mit der erforderlichen Spannung versorgt wird.

7. ZUGENTLASTUNG

Nutzen Sie die Zugentlastung für das ﬂexible Kabel des Netzteils, um die Kleinspannungsbuchse für die Spannungsversorgung des Geräts und den Hohlstecker des Netzteils vor Beschädigung zu schützen und ein unbeabsichtigtes Herausziehen des Steckers zu vermeiden.

Kleinspannungsbuchse für die Spannungsversorgung des Geräts. Um Schäden am Gerät zu vermeiden, verwenden Sie bitte ausschließlich das Original-Netzteil (im Lieferumfang enthalten).

PFLEGE, WARTUNG UND REPARATUR

Um die einwandfreie Funktion des Geräts auf Dauer zu gewährleisten, muss es regelmäßig gepﬂegt und bei Bedarf gewartet werden. Der Pﬂege- bzw. Wartungsbedarf steht in Abhängigkeit der Nutzungsintensität und -umgebung.

Wir empfehlen generell eine Sichtprüfung vor jeder Inbetriebnahme. Weiterhin empfehlen wir alle 500Betriebsstunden, oder bei geringerer Nutzungsintensität spätestens nach Ablauf eines Jahres alle unten genannten und zutreffenden Pﬂegemaßnahmen durchzuführen. Bei Mängeln, die auf eine unzureichende Pﬂege zurückzuführen sind, kann es zu Einschränkungen der Garantieansprüche kommen.

DANGER:

1. N'ouvrez pas l'appareil et n'y apportez aucune modiﬁcation.

Il ne sufﬁt pas d'appuyer sur l'interrupteur marche/arrêt de l'appareil. En outre, tout ampliﬁcateur connecté doit également être déconnecté de l'appareil.

4. Assurez-vous que le fusible utilisé correspond au type imprimé sur l’appareil.

5. Assurez-vous que des mesures appropriées ont été prises contre les surtensions (par exemple, la foudre).

6. Respectez l'intensité de sortie maximale spéciﬁée sur les appareils pourvus d'un renvoi secteur (Power Out). Vériﬁez que la consommation totale de tous les appareils connectés ne dépasse pas la valeur indiquée.

7. Ne remplacez les câbles d'alimentation enﬁchables que par des câbles équivalents correspondant au câble fourni à l'origine.

INTRODUCTION

Le Palmer BRIDGE 4A dispose de 4 canaux indépendants, techniquement identiques. C'est un outil professionnel pour le studio et la scène, permettant de convertir un signal audio asymétrique en un signal audio symétrique sans altération. Le transformateur audio interne offre une gamme dynamique exceptionnelle et une excellente résistance à la saturation. Une boîte de direct sert à connecter des instruments à cordes équipés de micros ou capteurs (guitares acoustiques, guitares/basses électriques), des instruments à sortie au niveau ligne (claviers électroniques) et des sorties au niveau haut-parleur d'ampliﬁcateurs de guitare aux entrées symétriques d'une console de mixage ou d'une interface audio. Une boîte de direct permet également de transporter des signaux audio sur de longues distances sans parasites ni ronﬂette.

AVERTISSEMENT : Les ampliﬁcateurs de puissance ne doivent pas être utilisés en mode pont (Bridge)

sur la boîte de direct.

AVERTISSEMENT : Si vous utilisez la boîte de direct avec un ampliﬁcateur, la liaison de masse entre l’entrée et la sortie doit être coupée (sélecteur n°4 en position LIFT, non enfoncée).

AVERTISSEMENT : La puissance de l'ampliﬁcateur raccordé ne doit pas dépasser 120W sous 8ohms! 

ATTENTION : Si vous utilisez un ampliﬁcateur à lampe, il n'y a pas de résistance de charge dans le

circuit de la boîte de direct! Pour éviter d'endommager l'ampliﬁcateur, il fautconnecterun bafﬂe

approprié ou une résistance de charge adéquate à la prise jack THRU à l' aide d'un câble hautparleur

avant d'allumer l'amplicateur.

1. INPUT 1 - 4

Entrées audio sur embases jack 6,35mm (câblage compatible symétrique/asymétrique). A. Connectez un instrument à l’aide d’un câble blindé pour instrument. B. Connectez la sortie haut-parleur d'un amplificateur de guitare à l'aide d'un câble haut-parleur (conseil: appuyez sur le sélecteur PAD n° 3).

2. THRU 1 - 4 Les signaux d'entrée des canaux 1 à 4 sont renvoyés sans modication sur les embases jack 6,35mm THRU 1 à 4.

3. PAD 1 - 4 (atténuateur passif)

Placez le sélecteur en position enfoncée pour réduire le niveau du signal de sortie de 30dB. Il faut réduire le niveau de sortie lorsque l'étage d'entrée du canal de la table de mixage ou de l'interface audio connectée est saturé.

4. LIFT / GND 1 - 4

Sélecteur permettant de couper la liaison de masse entre l’entrée et la sortie (levage de masse, Ground Lift). En position non enfoncée, la liaison de masse est coupée; elle est effective lorsque le sélecteur est enfoncé. L'efﬁcacité du levage de masse pour supprimer une ronﬂette dépend des modalités de la mise à la terre des appareils connectés. Il est donc possible que ce soit l’une ou l’autre des positions du sélecteur qui parvienne à réduire ou à éliminer efﬁcacement une ronﬂette.

5. OUTPUT 1 - 4

Sorties ligne symétriques sur embases XLR 3 broches. Utilisez des câbles audio blindés (par exemple des câbles micro) pour connecter la boîte de direct à l'entrée symétrique d'une console de mixage ou d'une interface audio.

6. LED POWER

Le voyant POWER s'allume dès que la boîte de direct reçoit la tension d'alimentation requise.

7. DÉCHARGE DE TRACTION

Faites passer le câble souple provenant du bloc secteur par la décharge de traction aﬁn d'éviter tout dommage au connecteur basse tension de la boîte de direct et/ou à la ﬁche coaxiale issue du bloc secteur, et toute interruption de l'alimentation.

8. ENTRÉE POWER

Connecteur coaxial basse tension pour l’alimentation de la boîte de direct. Pour éviter d'endommager l'appareil, utilisez uniquement l'adaptateur secteur d'origine (livré avec l'appareil).

9. OUTPUT 1 - 4

Sorties ligne symétriques sur embases XLR 3 broches. Utilisez des câbles audio blindés pour connecter la boîte de direct à l'entrée symétrique d'une console de mixage ou d'une interface audio.

 Les sorties ligne de la face avant et du panneau arrière sont isolées galvaniquement des entrées ligne.  Si vous utilisez simultanément plusieurs sorties ligne d'un même canal, le niveau du signal peut être

légèrement réduit.

Aﬁn de garantir son bon fonctionnement à long terme, l'appareil doit être régulièrement nettoyé et, si nécessaire, passer en maintenance. La périodicité d'entretien et de maintenance dépend de l'intensité et de l'environnement d'utilisation.

Nous vous recommandons de procéder à une inspection visuelle avant chaque utilisation. En outre, nous recommandons d'effectuer toutes les opérations de maintenance applicables spéciﬁées ci-dessous une fois toutes les 500heures de fonctionnement ou, en cas d'intensité d'utilisation moindre, au plus tard au bout d'un an. PELIGRO:

1. No abra el equipo ni intente modiﬁcarlo.

INTRODUCCIÓN

La caja BRIDGE4A de Palmer tiene 4canales independientes y técnicamente idénticos. Es una herramienta profesional para estudio y escenario, que convierte una señal de audio no balanceada en una señal de audio balanceada sin distorsión. El margen y el techo dinámicos del transformador interno son excelentes. La cajaDI se utiliza como equipo intermedio para conectar instrumentos de cuerda con pastillas, como guitarras acústicas eléctricas, guitarras eléctricas y bajos eléctricos, instrumentos con salida de línea, como teclados, y la salida de altavoz de amplis de guitarra a la entrada balanceada de una mesa de mezclas o una interfaz de audio. 1. INPUT 1-4

Entradas de audio con jack de 6,3mm (adecuadas para cableado no balanceado y balanceado). A. Conecte un instrumento con un cable de instrumento apantallado. B. Conecte la salida de altavoz de un ampli de guitarra con un cable de altavoz (consejo: pulse el botón PAD3).

CUIDADO, MANTENIMIENTO Y REPARACIÓN

PERICOLO

ATTENZIONE:

1. Non mettere in funzione il dispositivo se ha subito forti sbalzi di temperatura (ad esempio dopo il trasporto). Umidità e condensa potrebbero danneggiare il dispositivo. Accendere il dispositivo solo dopo che ha raggiunto la temperatura ambiente.

2. Veriﬁcare che la tensione e la frequenza della rete elettrica corrispondano ai valori indicati sul dispositivo. Se il dispositivo è dotato di selettore di tensione, collegare il dispositivo solo dopo aver impostato il selettore correttamente. Utilizzare esclusivamente cavi di alimentazione adatti.

3. Per scollegare completamente il dispositivo dalla rete elettrica, staccare il cavo di alimentazione o l’alimentatore dalla presa. Non è sufﬁciente premere l’interruttore di accensione/spegnimento del dispositivo. Staccare dal dispositivo anche un eventuale ﬁnale di potenza collegato!

4. Assicurarsi che il fusibile utilizzato corrisponda al tipo stampato sul dispositivo.

5. Accertarsi che siano state adottate misure adeguate contro la sovratensione (ad es. fulmini).

6. Rispettare la corrente di uscita massima indicata sui dispositivi con collegamento Power Out. Assicurarsi che la potenza assorbita complessivamente da tutti i dispositivi collegati non superi il valore indicato.

7. Sostituire i cavi di alimentazione a innesto esclusivamente con cavi originali.

PERICOLO

1. Pericolo di soffocamento! I sacchetti di plastica e i componenti minuti devono essere tenuti fuori dalla portata delle persone (inclusi i bambini) con limitate capacità ﬁsiche, sensoriali o mentali.

ATTENZIONE: veriﬁcare che le aperture di ventilazione nell’alloggiamento del dispositivo non siano coperte durante il funzionamento e che l’aria possa circolare liberamente, soprattutto se il montaggio è a rack!

NOTA: forti campi magnetici possono causare ronzii. Non posizionare quindi ildispositivo in prossimità di forti campi magnetici (per esempio, trasformatore di rete).

INTRODUZIONE

Il BRIDGE4A di Palmer ha 4canali indipendenti, identici dal punto di vista tecnico. Questo strumento professionale per lo studio e il palcoscenico converte un segnale audio non bilanciato in un segnale audio bilanciato senza distorsioni. Il trasduttore interno offre un intervallo dinamico eccezionale e un’eccellente resistenza al sovraccarico. Il DIBox si utilizza come elemento di connessione per collegare agli ingressi bilanciati di un mixer o di interfacce audio strumenti a corda con pick-up (come le chitarre acustiche elettriche, le chitarre elettriche e i bassi elettrici), strumenti con uscita di linea (come le tastiere) e uscite di altoparlanti dei ﬁnali di potenza per chitarra. Grazie al DI Box, è possibile trasmettere i segnali audio anche su lunghe tratte di cavo senza ronzii.

AVVERTENZA: i ﬁnali di potenza non devono essere utilizzati in modalità ponte (Bridge Mode) con il DI Box.

AVVERTENZA: se un ﬁnale di potenza viene collegato al DIBox, il collegamento di messa a terra tra ingresso e uscita deve essere staccato (selettore4 non premuto LIFT).

AVVERTENZA: la potenza di un ﬁnale di potenza collegato non deve superare i 120W a 8ohm. 

ATTENZIONE: quando si utilizza un ﬁnale di potenza valvolare, sul circuito del DI Box non c’è resistenza di carico! Per non danneggiare il ﬁnale di potenza, prima di accenderlo si deve collegare al jack THRU un altoparlante per chitarra o una resistenza di carico adeguata utilizzando un cavo per altoparlante.

1. INPUT 1-4

Ingressi audio con prese jack da 6,3mm (adatte per cablaggi non bilanciati e bilanciati). A. Collegare uno strumento utilizzando un apposito cavo schermato. B. Collegare l’uscita dell’altoparlante di un finale di potenza per chitarra utilizzando un cavo per altoparlanti (suggerimento: premere il selettore PAD n.3).

2. THRU 1-4 I segnali d’ingresso dei canali da 1 a 4 vengono emessi senza alterazioni tramite i jack da 6,3mm (uscite THRU da 1 a 4).

3. PAD 1-4 (Passive Attenuation Device)

Premere il selettore per ridurre di 30dB il livello del segnale di uscita. È necessario abbassare il livello di uscita se l’ingresso del canale del mixer o dell’interfaccia audio collegata è saturato.

4. LIFT/GND 1-4

Selettore per staccare il collegamento di messa a terra dall’ingresso e dall’uscita (Ground Lift). In posizione non premuta, il collegamento a massa è staccato; il collegamento è presente quando è premuto. La capacità di prevenire un loop di ronzio con il selettore Ground Lift dipende dalla messa a terra dei dispositivi collegati. Esiste quindi la possibilità di ridurre o eliminare efﬁcacemente il ronzio con qualsiasi posizione del selettore.

5. OUTPUT 1-4

Uscite di linea bilanciate con prese XLR a 3poli. Utilizzare cavi audio schermati (per esempio cavi microfonici) per collegare il DIBox all’ingresso bilanciato di un mixer o di un’interfaccia audio.

6. LED DI ACCENSIONE

Il LED di accensione si accende non appena il dispositivo viene alimentato con la tensione necessaria.

7. DISPOSITIVO ANTISTRAPPO

Utilizzare il dispositivo antistrappo per bloccare il cavo ﬂessibile dell’adattatore e proteggere la presa di bassa tensione dell’alimentazione elettrica del dispositivo e il connettore coassiale dell’alimentatore ed evitare l’estrazione accidentale della spina.

8. INGRESSO ALIMENTAZIONE

Presa di bassa tensione per l’alimentazione elettrica del dispositivo. Per non danneggiare il dispositivo, utilizzare unicamente l’adattatore originale (fornito in dotazione).

9. OUTPUT 1-4

Uscite di linea bilanciate con prese XLR a 3poli. Utilizzare cavi audio schermati per collegare il modulo di isolamento di linea all’ingresso bilanciato di un mixer o di un’interfaccia audio.

10. LIFT/GND 1 OUTPUT 1-4 AoC

Selettore per staccare il collegamento di messa a terra da ingressi e uscite (Ground Lift). In posizione non premuta, il collegamento a massa è staccato; il collegamento è presente quando è premuto. Uscite di linea bilanciate da 1 a 4 con presa etherCON bloccabile. I canali da 1 a 4 vengono trasmessi separatamente e in modo analogico a un dispositivo compatibile con presa RJ45 tramite un cavo di rete a quattro coppie di ﬁli più schermatura (cavo di categoria Cat5e o migliore).

NOTE

 Le uscite di linea sul pannello anteriore e sul pannello posteriore sono isolate galvanicamente dagli

ingressi di linea.

 Se su un canale vengono utilizzate diverse uscite di linea contemporaneamente, il livello del segnale

potrebbe ridursi leggermente.

CURA, MANUTENZIONE E RIPARAZIONE

Per garantire il corretto funzionamento del dispositivo nel tempo, è necessario sottoporlo a una pulizia regolare e, se necessario, a manutenzione. La necessità di cura e manutenzione dipende dall’intensità e dall’ambiente di utilizzo.

In generale si consiglia di effettuare un’ispezione visiva prima di ogni utilizzo. Si consiglia inoltre di eseguire tutti gli interventi di pulizia applicabili menzionati di seguito ogni 500ore di funzionamento o, in caso di minore intensità di utilizzo, al più tardi dopo un anno.
