Le apparecchiature da riscaldamento (denominate in seguito “stufe”) PALAZZETTI LELIO S.P.A. (di seguito P ALAZZETTI) serie ECOPALEX sono costruite e collaudate seguendo le prescrizioni di sicurezza indicate nelle direttive europee di riferimento.

Questo manuale è indirizzato ai proprietari della stufa, agli installatori, operatori e manutentori dei caminetti serie ECOP ALEX.

In caso di dubbi sul contenuto e per ogni chiarimento contattare il costruttore o il servizio di assistenza tecnica autorizzato citando il numero del paragrafo dell'argomento in discussione.

IL SISTEMA A DOPPIA COMBUSTIONE

La fiamma prodotta dalla legna che brucia correttamente in una stufa emette la stessa quantità di anidride carbonica (CO che si sarebbe liberata in seguito alla naturale decomposizione del legno stesso.

La quantità di CO decomposizione di una pianta corrisponde alla quantità di CO

che la pianta stessa è in grado di prelevare dall’ambiente

e trasformare in ossigeno per l’aria e carbonio per la pianta, nel corso del suo ciclo di vita.

L’uso di combustibili fossili non rinnovabili (carbone, gasolio, gas), a differenza di quanto avviene con la legna, libera nell’aria enormi quantità di CO aumentando la formazione dell’effetto serra. L’uso della legna come combustibile, quindi, è in perfetto equilibrio con l’ambiente in quanto viene utilizzato un combustibile rinnovabile ed in armonia con il ciclo ecologico della natura.

Il principio della combustione pulita risponde in pieno a questi obiettivi e la Palazzetti vi ha fatto riferimento nella progettazione dei propri prodotti.

Cosa intendiamo per combustione pulita e come avviene? Il controllo e la regolazione di aria primaria e l’immissione dell’aria secondaria provoca una seconda combustione, o post-combustione caratterizzata da una seconda fiamma più viva e più limpida che si sviluppa al di sopra della fiamma principale. Essa, grazie all’immissione di nuovo ossigeno, brucia i gas incombusti migliorando sensibilmente il rendimento termico e riducendo al minimo le emissioni nocive di CO (monossido di carbonio) dovute alla combustione incompleta. È questa una caratteristica esclusiva delle stufe e di altri prodotti P ALAZZETTI.

DUAL COMBUSTION SYSTEM

In a fireplace, a correctly burning flame emits the same amount of carbon dioxide (CO decomposition of the same wood.

The quantity of CO of a tree corresponds to the quantity of CO capable of extracting from the environment and transforming into oxygen for the air and carbon for itself during its lifetime.

Unlike wood, when fossil fuels are burned – which are not renewable, like coal, diesel oil, gas - a huge amount of CO accumulated in the course of millions of years is emitted into the atmosphere, increasing the green-house effect. Consequently, the use of wood as fuel maintains the perfect equilibrium of nature because it is a renewable fuel whose burning is compatible with nature’s life cycle.

The principle of clean combustion is in perfect harmony with these characteristics and Palazzetti always refers to it when designing its products.

What exactly do we mean by clean combustion and how does it come about? By controlling the flow of primary air and by adding secondary air, a second level of combustion, or post-combustion, takes place. This is indicated by a second characteristically clearer and stronger flame above the main flame. By adding new oxygen, this flame consumes the unburned gasses, remarkably improving heat production and reducing t h e harmful emission of CO (carbon monoxide) caused by incomplete combustion. This is a unique feature of the fireplaces and other P ALAZZETTI products.

Das von Palazzetti für Kaminöfen und Kamine angewandte

Prinzip der sauberen Verbrennung entspricht voll und ganz

diesen Zielsetzungen, woran man sich auch in der Planung

der Produkte hält.

Was versteht man unter sauberer Verbrennung und wie

funktioniert sie? Die Kontrolle der Primärluft und die Zufuhr

von Sekundärluft bewirken eine zweite Verbrennung bzw. eine

so genannte Nachverbrennung, bei der sich eine zweite

Flamme über der ersten entwickelt und lebendiger und auch

klarer brennt. Sie verbrennt durch die Zufuhr der ekundärluft

die unverbrannten Gase, wodurch die Heizleistung wesentlich

verbessert wird: die schädlichen, durch die unvollständige

Verbrennung bedingten CO-Emissionen (Kohlenmonoxyd)

werden auf ein Minimum reduziert. Es handelt sich hierbei um

ein exklusives Merkmal der Kaminöfen und anderen Produkte

1.2 DESTINAZIONE D’USO

L’apparecchiatura PALAZZETTI modello ECOPALEX è il nuovo caminetto per il riscaldamento, realizzato da una struttura completamente metallica, con focolare chiuso da un vetro - ceramico.

Il caminetto funziona in maniera ottimale con la porta del focolare chiusa.

Il caminetto è caratterizzato da un doppio sistema di combustione PRIMARIA e SECONDARIA con effetti positivi sia sul rendimento che sulla emissione di “fumi più puliti”.

La destinazione d’uso sopra riportata e le configurazioni previste del caminetto sono le uniche ammesse dal Costruttore:

1.2 USE OF THE STOVE

The PALAZZETTI ECOPALEX model stove is the new fireplace heater, consisting in a structure made completely of metallic material, with the firebox enclosed by ceramic glass.

The fireplace operates at its best when the firebox door is shut.

This fireplace features the dual PRIMARY and SECONDARY combustion system with positive effects both on efficiency and on the emission of “cleaner smoke”.

Use of the stove, as described above, and its configurations are only those allowed by the manufacturer:

Upon delivery of this manual PALAZZETTI declines all liabilities, both civil and penal, for any accidents that may derive from the total or partial failure to comply with the specifications contained in it.

XTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE

Extraordinary maintenance must be carried out by personnel qualified to work on the fireplace model to which this manual refers.

1.8 GARANZIA LEGALE

L'utente per poter usufruire della garanzia legale, di cui alla Direttiva CEE 1999/44/CE deve osservare scrupolosamente le prescrizioni indicate nel presente manuale, ed in particolare:

• operare sempre nei limiti d'impiego del caminetto;

• effettuare sempre una costante e diligente manutenzione;

• autorizzare all’uso della stufa persone di provata capacità, attitudine ed adeguatamente addestrate allo scopo.

L'innosservanza delle prescrizioni contenute in questo manuale implicherà l’immediata decadenza della garanzia.

Die Haftung für die Installation des Kaminofens geht keinesfalls zu Lasten der Fa. PALAZZETTI. Sie geht zu Lasten des Installateurs, dem die Ausführung der Kontrollen des Rauchfangs und der Lüftungsöffnung bzw. der Korrektheit der Installationsvorschläge übertragen wird. Es sind alle Vorschriften der örtlichen, nationalen und europäischen Gesetzgebung zu beachten, die im jeweiligen Aufstellungsland gültig sind.

EBRAUCH

Der Gebrauch des Geräts untersteht nicht nur den präzisen Anweisungen dieses Handbuchs, sondern auch der Beachtung aller im Installationsland vorgesehenen Sicherheitsnormen.

1.7 GRUNDLEGENDE EINGEHALTENE UND EINZUHALTENDE UNFALL VERHÜTUNGSNORMEN

1.8 LEGAL GUARANTEE

The user may only make use of the legal guarantee, as under the EEC directive 1999/44/CE, if he has scrupulously complied with the regulations indicated in this manual, and more specifically:

• To work always within the fireplace’s range of use

• Maintenance must be constant and accurate;

• Only allow people who are capable and who have been suitably trained to use the fireplace.

Failure to comply with the regulations contained in this manual will invalidate the guarantee immediately.

1.9 MANUFACTURER’S LIABILITY

The manufacturer declines all civil and penal liabilities, direct or indirect, due to:

• An installation that fails to comply with the laws in force in the country and with the safety rules and regulations;

• Failure to comply with the instructions given in the manual;

• An installation by unqualified and untrained personnel;

• Use that fails to conform to the safety directives;

• Alterations and repairs on the appliance not authorised by the manufacturer;

• Use of spare parts that are either not genuine or specific for this particular model of fireplace;

• Lack of maintenance;

• Exceptional events.

• immer innerhalb der Einsatzgrenzen des Kaminofens vorzugehen;

• die Wartung regelmäßig und sorgfältig auszuführen;

• nur Personen mit den geeigneten Kapazitäten und Befähigungen bzw. zu diesem Zweck geschulte Personen mit der Kaminofenbedienung zu beauftragen.

Das fehlende Einhalten der Beschreibungen dieses Handbuchs führt zum unverzüglichen Garantieverfall.

1.10 CARATTERISTICHE DELL’UTILIZZA TORE

L'utilizzatore del caminetto deve essere una persona adulta e responsabile provvista delle conoscenze tecniche necessarie per la manutenzione ordinaria dei componenti del caminetto. Fare attenzione che i bambini non si avvicinino al caminetto, mentre è in funzione, con l’intento di giocarvi.

1.1 1 ASSISTENZA TECNICA

Palazzetti è in grado di risolvere qualunque problema tecnico riguardante l’impiego e la manutenzione nell'intero ciclo di vita del prodotto.

La sede centrale è a vostra disposizione per indirizzarvi al più vicino centro di assistenza autorizzato.

1.12 PARTI DI RICAMBIO

Impiegare esclusivamente parti di ricambio originali. Non attendere che i componenti siano logorati dall’uso

prima di procedere alla loro sostituzione. Sostituire un componente usurato prima della rottura

favorisce la prevenzione degli infortuni derivanti da incidenti causati proprio dalla rottura improvvisa dei componenti, che potrebbero provocare gravi danni a persone e cose.

Eseguire i controlli periodici di manutenzione come indicato nel capitolo “MANUTENZIONE E PULIZIA”.

1.13 CONSEGNA DEL CAMINETTO

Il caminetto viene consegnato perfettamente imballato e fissato ad una pedana in legno che ne permette la movimentazione mediante carrelli elevatori e/o altri mezzi. All’interno del caminetto viene allegato il seguente materiale:

• libretto di uso, installazione e manutenzione

• etichetta codice a barre

• guanto di protezione.

• Mangelnde Wartung;

• Außerordentliche Vorkommnisse.

1.12 SPARE P ARTS

Use genuine spare parts only. Do not wait until the components are worn from use

before changing them. Changing a worn component before it breaks makes

it easier to prevent accidents that could otherwise lead to serious injury to people or damage to things.

Carry out the routine maintenance checks as explained in the “MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING” chapter.

1.10 EIGENSCHAFTEN DES BENUTZERS

The fireplace is delivered perfectly packed in cardboard and fixed to a wooden pallet so it can be handled by forklifts and/or other means.

1.11 TECHNISCHER KUNDENDIENST

1.12 ERSATZTEILE

Ausschließlich Original-Ersatzteile verwenden. Vor dem Austausch gewisser Bestandteile nicht erst

abwarten, bis sie komplett abgenutzt sind. Wird ein verschlissener Bestandteil vor seinem

kompletten Kaputtgehen ersetzt, können Unfälle, die eben auf das plötzliche Kaputtgehen von Teilen zurückzuführen sind und schwere Personen- und Sachschäden verursachen könnten, vermieden werden.

Die regelmäßigen Kontrollen zur Instandhaltung laut Kapitel „WARTUNG UND REINIGUNG“ durchführen.

1.13 LIEFERUNG DES KAMINOFENS

Der Kaminofen wird einwandfrei im Karton verpackt und auf einem Holzpodest fixiert geliefert, wodurch der Transport mittels Hubstapler und/oder anderen Mitteln möglich ist.

Im Kaminofen wird folgendes Material mitgeliefert:

• Installations-, Gebrauchs- und Wartungsanleitung

• Etiketten mit Balkencode

• Schutzhandschuh.

2 AVVERTENZE PER LA SICUREZZA

2.1 AVVERTENZE PER L ’INST ALLATO RE

• Verificare che le predisposizioni all’accoglimento della stufa siano conformi ai regolamenti locali, nazionale ed europei.

• Osservare le prescrizioni indicate nel presente manuale.

• Verificare che le predisposizioni della canna fumaria e della presa d’aria siano conformi al tipo di installazione.

• Non effettuare collegamenti elettrici volanti con cavi provvisori o non isolati.

• Verificare che la messa a terra dell’impianto elettrico sia efficiente.

• Usare sempre i dispositivi di sicurezza individuale e gli altri mezzi di protezione previsti per legge.

2.2 AVVERTENZE PER L ’UTILIZZA TORE

• Predisporre il luogo d’installazione della stufa secondo i regolamenti locali, nazionale ed europei.

• La stufa, essendo un prodotto da riscaldamento, presenta delle superfici esterne particolarmente calde.

Per questo motivo si raccomanda la massima cautela durante il funzionamento in particolare:

• non toccare e non avvicinarsi al vetro della porta, potrebbe causare ustioni;

• non toccare lo scarico dei fumi;

• non scaricare le ceneri;

• non eseguire pulizie di qualunque tipo;

• fare attenzione che i bambini non si avvicinino.

• Osservare le prescrizioni indicate nel presente manuale.

• Rispettare le istruzioni e gli avvertimenti evidenziati dalle targhette esposte sulla stufa.

• Le targhette sono dispositivi antinfortunistici, pertanto devono essere sempre perfettamente leggibili. Qualora risultassero danneggiate ed illeggibili è obbligatorio sostituirle, richiedendone il ricambio originale al Costruttore.

• Utilizzare solo il combustibile conforme alle indicazioni riportate sul capitolo relativo alle caratteristiche del combustibile stesso.

• Seguire scrupolosamente il programma di manutenzione ordinaria e straordinaria.

• Non impiegare la stufa senza prima avere eseguito l’ispezione giornaliera come prescritto al capitolo “Manutenzione” del presente manuale.

• Non utilizzare la stufa in caso di funzionamento anomalo, sospetto di rottura o rumori.

• Non gettare acqua sulla stufa in funzionamento o per spegnere il fuoco nel braciere.

• Non appoggiarsi sulla porta aperta, potrebbe comprometterne la stabilità.

• The plates are accident prevention devices and as such must be easily and perfectly legible at all times. Should they be damaged and rendered illegible it is compulsory to change them, asking the manufacturer for an original plate.

• Only use fuel that complies with the indications given in the chapter referring to fuel characteristics.

• Keep strictly to the routine and extraordinary maintenance programme.

• Do not use the fireplace without first having carried out the daily inspection as specified in the “Maintenance” chapter in this manual.

• Do not use the fireplace if there is a malfunction.

• Do not throw water on the fireplace when it is lit or to put the fire out in the hearth.

• Do not lean against the open door.

• Do not use the fireplace as a support or anchor of any type.

• Do not clean the fireplace until the structure and ashes are completely cold.

2.2 HINWEISE FÜR DEN BENUTZER

• Den Installationsort des Kaminofens gemäß den örtlichen, nationalen und europäischen Normen vorbereiten.

• Die Aussenflächen des Produkts werden sehr heiß. Aus diesem Grund sind während des Betriebs

folgenden Punkten besondere Aufmerksamkeit zu gewähren:

• das Glas der Tür nicht anfassen oder sich diesem nähern - es kann Verbrennungen verursachen;

• den Rauchfang nicht anfassen;

• die Asche nicht entleeren;

• das Gerät keinesfalls reinigen;

• darauf achten, dass sich keine Kinder dem Heizofen nähern.

• Die Beschreibungen dieses Handbuchs beachten.

• Die Schilder dienen der Unfallverhütung und müssen aus diesem Grund immer einwandfrei leserlich sein. Sollten sie beschädigt oder unleserlich sein, ist es Vorschrift beim Hersteller ein Original anzufordern und auszutauschen.

• Die Beschreibungen und Hinweise der am Kaminofen befindlichen Schilder beachten.

• Nur mit den Anweisungen im diesbezüglichen Kapitel konformen Brennstoff verwenden.

• Die programmierte regelmäßige und außerordentliche Wartung gewissenhaft durchführen.

• Den Kaminofen nicht in Betrieb setzen, bevor nicht alle im Kapitel „Wartung” beschriebenen, täglichen Kontrollen durchgeführt wurden.

• Den Kaminofen bei Betriebsstörungen nicht benutzen.

• Kein Wasser auf den betriebenen Kaminofen bzw. zum Löschen des Feuers in die Feuerstelle schütten.

• Sich nicht auf die offene Tür lehnen.

• Den Kaminofen nicht als Stütze oder Verankerung verwenden.

2.3 AVVERTENZE PER IL MANUTENTORE

3 CARATTERISTICHE E DESCRIZIONE

3.1 DESCRIZIONE

ECOP ALEX Palazzetti è un caminetto da inserimento,

costituito da un monoblocco metallico dalla struttura autoportante. È adatto sia per I’inserimento in caminetti esistenti sia in caminetti nuovi e garantisce un funzionamento e una resa ai massimi livelli possibili.

I caminetti ECOP ALEX Palazzetti sono caratterizzati da un evoluto sistema a doppia combustione, studiato per bruciare in maniera ottimale la legna e i gas incombusti della combustione primaria. • All work must be carried out in maximum safety and calmly.

• If the chimney should catch fire, attempt to extinguish the fireplace by suffocating the flames (do not throw water on it) and call the fire department.

• Do not use the stove as an incinerator for waste.

• If the stove malfunctions due to poor draught of the flue pipe, perform cleaning as set forth in the procedure below. The flue pipe must in any case be cleaned once a year as described in paragraph 7.4.

2.3 PRECAUTIONS FOR THE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

3 MERKMALE UND

GERÄTEBESCHREIBUNG

3.1 BESCHREIBUNG

ECOPALEX Palazzetti ist ein Einbau-Kaminofen,

bestehend aus einem Metallblock mit selbsttragender Struktur. Er eignet sich sowohl für den Einbau in bereits bestehende Kamine, als auch für neue Kamine und führt zu einen optimalen Betrieb bei bestmöglicher Leistung.

Die Kaminöfen ECOPALEX Palazzetti zeichnen sich durch das fortschrittliche System der doppelten Verbrennung aus, wodurch das Holz und die während der Primärverbrennung unverbrannt gebliebenen Gase optimal verbrannt werden. Die Auswahl der Kaminöfen ECOP ALEX Palazzetti umfasst viele Modelle, die sich untereinander durch ihre Maße, die Form der Tür und die Art der Öffnung unterscheiden:

3.2 TARGHETTA DI IDENTIFICAZIONE

La targhetta matricola posta sul caminetto riporta tutti i dati caratteristici relativi al prodotto, compresi i dati del Costruttore, il numero di Matricola e il marchio CE.

Il numero di matricola deve essere sempre indicato per qualsiasi tipo di richiesta riguardante il caminetto.

3.3 I KIT OPZIONALI

L’Ecopalex Palazzetti può essere adattato alle varie situazioni di installazione mediante l’utilizzo di uno o più kit opzionali di cui daremo breve descrizione:

• kit di distribuzione aria in altri locali o in controcappa costituito da tubi flessibili in alluminio e bocchette di distribuzione aria.

• kit cornice frontale, serve a fissare ed armonizzare l’ECOPALEX alla struttura del caminetto in cui viene inserito.

• kit tubo telescopico serve a collegare l’uscita fumi alla canna fumaria su caminetti già esistenti.

• centralina di regolazione ventilatore per ECOP ALEX dotati di ventilatori assiali. Esclusi Inserto H66 e H76.

• kit ventilatore “350” comprensivo di centralina di regolazione: è studiato apposta per l’ECOPALEX e consente di distribuire aria calda in più locali migliorando considerevolmente le prestazioni del caminetto.

• kit ventilatore da 680 m centralina di regolazione: solo per i modelli Inserto H 66, Inserto H 76 ed Ecopalex 78, 88. Consente di distribuire l'aria in più locali migliorando considerevolmente le prestazioni del caminetto.

3.4 LA COMBUSTIONE

Molti sono i fattori che concorrono per rendere efficace la combustione in termini di prestazioni termiche e basse emissioni di sostanze inquinati (CO Monossido di carbonio). Alcuni fattori dipendono dall’apparecchiatura nella quale avviene la combustione altri invece dipendono da caratteristiche ambientali, di installazione e dal grado di manutenzione ordinaria effettuato al prodotto e alla canna fumaria. Alcuni fattori importanti sono:

• aria comburente;

• qualità della legna (umidità e dimensioni);

• caratteristiche del sistema di evacuazione dei prodotti della combustione.

Nei paragrafi successivi sono riportate alcune indicazioni da rispettare per ottenere il massimo rendimento del prodotto acquistato.

4 MOVIMENTAZIONE E TRASPORTO

Il caminetto viene consegnato con la struttura metallica montata, con il rivestimento separato, in un imballo adeguato ai lunghi trasporti. Consigliamo di disimballare il caminetto solo quando è giunta sul luogo di installazione. Seguire le istruzioni di montaggio nei punti 6.1 e seguenti. Il caminetto viene consegnato completo di tutte le parti previste.

• telescopic pipe kit used to connect the smoke outlet to the flue on existing fireplaces.

• Fan adjustment unit for ECOP ALEX fireplaces fitted with axial fans. Inserto H66 and Inserto H76 excluded.

• “350” fan kit including an adjustment unit: designed specifically ECOPALEX, it let s hot air circulate in several rooms, improving fireplace performance considerably.

• 680 m3/h fan kit complete with adjustment unit: only for the models Inserto H 66, Inserto H 76 and Ecopalex 78, 88. It lets hot air circulate in several rooms, improving fireplace performance considerably.

3.4 COMBUSTION

There are many factors that contribute to good combustion in terms of heat performance and low emission of polluting substances (CO - carbon monoxide).

Some of these factors depend on the unit itself while others depend on the environmental and installation conditions and on the routine maintenance carried out on the product and on the flue.

Some of the important factors are:

• air for combustion;

• quality of the wood (humidity and dimensions);

• features of the combustion products evacuation system. Some indications are given in the following paragraphs that should be complied with to achieve maximum stove performance.

4 HANDLING AND TRANSPORT

3.4 DIE VERBRENNUNG

Viele Faktoren spielen für eine im Sinne von Wärmeleistung und niedriger Schadstoffabgabe (CO

- Kohlenmonoxyd) effiziente Verbrennung eine bedeutende Rolle. Einige Faktoren hängen vom Gerät ab, in dem die Verbrennung erfolgt, andere hingegen von den Umweltbedingungen, der Installation und der regelmäßigen Wartung des Geräts und des Rauchfangs. Einige wichtige Faktoren sind:

4 HANDLING UND TRANSPORT

Der Kaminofen wird mit montierter Metallstruktur geliefert. Es ist empfehlenswert, den Kaminofen erst am Installationsort auszupacken. Das Gerät wird mit allen vorgesehenen T eilen geliefert. Achtung, das Gerät kippt leicht. Nicht mit abrupten oder ruckartigen Bewegungen anheben.

Fare attenzione alla tendenza allo sbilanciamento del caminetto. Durante il sollevamento evitare strappi o bruschi movimenti.

Accertarsi che il carrello sollevatore abbia una portata superiore al peso della stufa da sollevare.

Al manovratore dei mezzi di sollevamento spetterà tutta la responsabilità del sollevamento dei carichi. Fare attenzione che i bambini non giochino con i

componenti dell’imballo (es. pellicole e polistirolo). Pericolo di soffocamento!

5 PREPARAZIONE DEL LUOGO DI

• Per una corretta installazione la conduttura fumi tra caminetto e canna fumaria va fatta a tenuta stagna sigillando tutti i giunti di unione.

• Qualora il caminetto venga installato su una canna

fumaria precedentemente usata con altri caminetti è necessario provvedere ad una accurata pulizia per evitare anomali funzionamenti e prevenire l’eventuale incendio degli incombusti che si depositano sulle pareti interne della stessa.

• Le norme UNI prevedono l’installazione di una griglia di recupero di calore il più possibile vicino al soffitto. Fig. 5:

• Il rivestimento deve essere realizzato in materiale ignifugo.

• In presenza di strutture o materiali infiammabili sul retro del focolare la distanza dai materiali combustibili deve essere di 20 cm.

• La distanza minima dai materiali combustibili adiacenti deve essere di 20 cm. E’ necessario rivestire il retro e i fianchi del focolare con dei pannelli di lana di roccia dello spessore di 4 cm di densità 40 kg/m³ con supporto in foglio di alluminio, per isolare termicamente il caminetto.

• Tutti i materiali combustibili che si trovano nella zona di irraggiamento del calore dal vetro della porta devono essere posti ad una distanza da esso di almeno 80 cm (Fig. 5.1).

5 PREPARING THE PLACE OF

• For proper installation, the smoke ducting between the fireplace and the flue must have all joints sealed.

• If the fireplace is installed on a flue used previously with other fireplaces, it is necessary to clean thoroughly to avoid abnormal functioning and prevent a fire due to the combustible materials which deposit on the walls of the flue pipe.

• UNI standards require installaiton of a heeat recovery grille as close as possible to the ceiling.

• The cladding must be made of fireproof material.

• If there are flammable structures or materials on the back of the firebox, the distance from the combustible materials must be 20 cm.

• The minimum distance from adjacent combustible materials must be 20 cm.

It is necessary to cover the rear and sides of the firebox with panels of rock wool with a thickness of 4 cm and density of 40 kg/m³ on an aluminium foil base, so as to thermally insulate the fireplace.

• All combustible materials in the area of heat radiated from the glass of the door must be placed at a distance of at least 80 cm (Fig. 5.1).

5.1 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The responsibility for any work done in the space where the fireplace is to be installed is, and remains, the user’s. The user is also entrusted with carrying out the checks regarding the proposed installation solutions.

Any wood beam of the cladding, or any finish in combustible material, must be suitably insulated (or located outside the area that is heated by the fireplace; refer to standard UNI 10683).

• Die Verkleidung muss auf feuerfestem Material bestehen.

• Wenn sich hinter der Feuerstelle entflammbares Material oder brennbare Strukturen befinden muss der Abstand zum brennbarem Material 20 cm betragen. Für die Wärmeisolierung des Kamins müssen die Rückseite und die Seitenwände des Ofens mit 4 cm dicken Platten aus 40 kg/m³ dichter Gesteinswolle mit Aluminiumbeschichtung verkleidet werden.

• Alle brennbaren Stoffe, die sich im Bereich der Wärmestrahlung des Türglases befinden, müssen in einem Mindestabstand von 80 cm von demselben untergebracht werden (Abb. 5.1).

L’apparecchio dovrà essere installato su pavimenti

con adeguata capacità portante. Nel caso in cui il pavimento non sia di capacità

portante sufficiente, si consiglia di utilizzare una piastra di distribuzione del carico di dimensioni adeguate.

Le operazioni di montaggio e smontaggio del caminetto sono riservate ai soli tecnici specializzati.

É sempre consigliabile che gli utenti si rivolgano al nostro servizio di assistenza per le richieste di tecnici qualificati.

Nel caso in cui intervengano altri tecnici si raccomanda di accertarsi sulle loro reali capacità.

L’installatore, prima di avviare le fasi di montaggio o di smontaggio del caminetto, deve ottemperare alle precauzioni di sicurezza previste per legge ed in particolare a:

A) non operare in condizioni avverse; B) deve operare in perfette condizioni psicofisiche e

OMIGNOLI, DISTANZE E POSIZIONAMENTO

5.2 CANNE FUMARIE E COMIGNOLI

La canna fumaria per lo scarico dei fumi deve essere realizzata in osservanza alle norme EN 10683, EN 1856-1-2, EN 1857, EN 1443, EN 13384-1-3, EN 12391-1 sia per quanto riguarda le dimensioni che per i materiali utilizzati per la sua costruzione.

• Le dimensioni della CANNA FUMARIA dovranno essere conformi a quanto riportato nella scheda Tecnica (tiraggio 12 Pa con portina chiusa). È consigliabile l’uso di canne fumarie coibentate in refrattario o in acciaio inox di sezione circolare, c o n pareti interne a superficie liscia (Fig. 5.2.1). La sezione della canna fumaria dovrà mantenersi costante per tutta la sua altezza. Si consiglia un’altezza minima di 3,5÷4 m (vedi Fig. 5.2.2). È opportuno prevedere, sotto l’imbocco del canale da fumo, una camera di raccolta per materiali solidi ed eventuali condense.

Canne fumarie FATISCENTI, costruite con materiale non idoneo (fibrocemento, acciaio zincato, ecc... con superficie interna ruvida e porosa) sono fuorilegge e pregiudicano il buon funzionamento del caminetto.

• Un PERFETTO TIRAGGIO è dato soprattutto da una canna fumaria libera da ostacoli quali strozzature, percorsi orizzontali, spigoli; eventuali spostamenti di asse dovranno avere un percorso inclinato con angolazione max di 45° rispetto alla verticale, meglio ancora se di soli 30°. Detti spostamenti vanno effettuati

If other technicians are called in, please make sure they are truly qualified.

Before starting the assembly or dismantling phases of the fireplace, the installer must comply with the safety precautions as established by law, and in particular :

A) he must not work in adverse conditions; B) he must be in perfect psychophysical condition to

work and ensure that the individual and personal accident prevention devices are sound and in perfect working order;

C) he must wear accident prevention gloves; D) he must wear safety shoes; E) he must make sure that the area he is working in

for assembling/dismantling the fireplace is free from obstacles.

5.2 FLUES AND CHIMNEY CAPS

The flue pipe for the discharge of smoke must be compliant with standards EN 10683, EN 1856-1-2, EN 1857, EN 1443, EN 13384-1-3, EN 12391-1 both in terms of size and materials used to construct it.

• FLUE dimensions must comply with the instructions given in the technical data sheet (draught 12 Pa with the door closed). It is advisable to use flues insulated with a refractory material or in stainless steel with a circular cross section and smooth internal walls (Fig.

5.2.1). Flue cross-section should be kept constant for all its height. A minimum height of 3.5÷4 m is recommended (see Fig.5.2.2). Under the outlet of the smoke pipe there should be a chamber for gathering solid materials and any condensation. DETERIORATING flues made with unsuitable materials such as asbestos cement, galvanised steel, etc., with a rough or porous internal surface are illegal and can jeopardise the correct operation of the fireplace.

• A PERFECT DRAUGHT is above all the result of a flue that is clear of obstructions such as chokes, horizontal sections or corners; any axial displacements should be at a maximum angle of 45° compared to the vertical axis, (better still if it is only 30°). These displacements should preferably be effected near the chimney top.

• The SMOKE connection between the stove and flue should have the same cross section as the stove’s smoke outlet. Any horizontal sections must not exceed 2 meters and there must be a difference of 8÷10 cm

Installationsvorschläge übertragen. Ein eventuell an der Verkleidung angebrachter

Holzbalken bzw. alle Materialien der Verkleidung, die brennfähig sind, müssen angemessen isoliert werden (oder aus dem Bereich der Wärmeabstrahlung des Ofens entfernt werden. Siehe Richtlinie UNI 10683).

Der Benutzer hat alle örtlichen, nationalen und europäischen Sicherheitsregelungen einzuhalten.

Das Gerät muss auf einem Fußboden mit

entsprechender Ladefähigkeit installiert werden. Sollte die Tragfähigkeit des Fußbodens nicht

ausreichen, eine Platte zur Lastverteilung mit entsprechender Größe verwenden.

Die Maßnahmen zur Montage und zum Zerlegen des Kaminofens dürfen nur von Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden.

Es ist immer empfehlenswert, sich für die Anforderung von qualifizierten Technikern an eine unserer Kundendienststellen zu wenden.

Sollten andere Techniker eingreifen, sind deren Fähigkeiten unbedingt sicherzustellen.

Der Installateur hat vor der Montage oder dem Zerlegen des Geräts alle gesetzlich vorgesehenen Sicherheitsmaßnahmen und insbesondere die folgenden zu beachten:

A) Nicht bei ungünstigen Bedingungen vorgehen; B)Unter einwandfreien psychophysischen Bedingungen arbeiten und sicherstellen, dass die individuellen und persönlichen Unfallverhütungsvorrichtungen komplett sind und einwandfrei funktionieren; C) Schutzhandschuhe tragen; D)SchutztÿËuhe tragen; E) Sicherstellen, dass der für die Montage bzw. das Zerlegen nötige Bereich keine Hindernisse aufweist.

5.2 RAUCHFÄNGE UND SCHORNSTEINE

Der Rauchfang für die Ableitung der Rauchgase muss unter Beachtung der Normen EN 10683, EN 1856-12, EN 1857, EN 1443, EN 13384-1-3, EN 12391-1 angelegt werden, sowohl was seine Größe betrifft als auch das für seinen Bau verwendete Material.

• Die Maße des RAUCHFANGS müssen den Angaben des technischen Datenblattes (bei geschlossener Tür Abzug 12 Pa) entsprechen. Es wird die Verwendung von runden, isolierten Rauchfängen aus Schamotte oder Edelstahl, die an den Innenwänden eine glatte Oberfläche haben, empfohlen (Abb. 5.2.1). Der Durchmesser des Rauchfangs muss über seine gesamte Länge gleich sein. Es wird eine Mindesthöhe von 3,5÷4 m empfohlen (siehe Abb.5.2.2). Es ist außerdem empfehlenswert, an der Mündung des Rauchkanals eine Kammer vorzusehen, in der Feststoffe und eventuelle Kondensflüssigkeit aufgefangen werden. BAUFÄLLIGE Rauchfänge aus ungeeignetem Material

(Asbestzement, verzinktem Stahl, usw. ... mit einer

rauen und porösen Innenfläche) entsprechen nicht den geltenden Gesetzen und beeinträchtigen den einwandfreien Betrieb des Ofens.

• Ein PERFEKTER RAUCHABZUG wird vor allem durch

preferibilmente in prossimità del comignolo.

• II RACCORDO FUMI tra stufa e canna fumaria dovrà avere la stessa sezione dell’ uscita fumi del ECOPALEX. Eventuali tratti orizzontali non dovranno superare i 2 metri e dovrà comunque esserci un dislivello di 8÷10 cm per ogni metro, a salire in direzione della canna fumaria. Sono consentite al massimo due curve a 90°.

• II COMIGNOLO deve essere del tipo ANTIVENTO con sezione interna equivalente a quella della canna fumaria e sezione di passaggio dei fumi in uscita almeno DOPPIA di quella interna della canna fumaria (Fig. 5.2.3).

• Per evitare inconvenienti nel tiraggio, ogni caminetto dovrà avere una propria canna fumaria indipendente. Nel caso di presenza di più canne fumarie sul tetto è opportuno che le altre si trovino ad almeno 2 metri di distanza e che il comignolo del caminetto SOVRASTI gli altri di almeno 40 cm (Fig.5.2.2). Se i comignoli risultano accostati prevedere dei setti divisori.

• In figura 5.2.4 (TETTO PIANO; B volume tecnico) e fig. 5.2.5 (TETTO INCLINA TO; B oltre il colmo) vengono visualizzati i dati della tabella delle prescrizioni UNI 10683 relative alle distanze e al posizionamento dei comignoli.

Qualora la canna fumaria che si vuole utilizzare per l’installazione fosse precedentemente collegata ad altre stufe o caminetti, è necessario provvedere ad una accurata pulizia per evitare anomali funzionamenti e per scongiurare il pericolo di incendio degli incombusti depositati sulle pareti interne della canna fumaria. In condizioni di normale funzionamento la pulizia della canna fumaria deve essere effettuata almeno u n a volta all’anno.

5.3 OPERAZIONI PRELIMINARI (FIG. 5.3.1)

5.3.1 Interventi di adattamento

Prima di tutto è opportuno verificare le dimensioni dello spazio disponibile nel caminetto preesistente e confrontarle con quelle dell’ECOPALEX (Fig. 5.3.1) e della scheda tecnica. Nel caso si renda necessario un intervento di adattamento, tagliando o modificando le pareti interne del caminetto preesistente, si ponga attenzione a non comprometterne la stabilità.

L’eventuale trave in legno, o comunque qualsiasi finitura in materiale combustibile deve essere adeguatamente isolata (oppure posta al di fuori dalla zona di irraggiamento del focolare, vedi UNI 10683) e mantenere rispetto all’ECOPALEX una distanza di almeno 1 cm per garantire il libero flusso di aria atto ad evitare il surriscaldamento.

5.3.2 Presa d’aria comburente

Per garantire l’affluso di aria comburente è necessario eseguire un foro su una parete esterna nella stanza in cui è ubicato l’Ecopalex: le dimensioni del foro devono rispettare i valori prescritti nella tabella dei dati tecnici del cap.9.

• la normativa UNI 10683 vieta il prelievo di aria

comburente da garage, magazzini di materiale combustibile o da locali soggetti a rischio di incendio.

• The CHIMNEY TOP shall be the WINDPROOF type with an inside cross section equivalent to that of the flue and with a smoke outlet passage section at least DOUBLE the internal one of the flue (Fig. 5.2.3).

• To avoid draught problems, each stove should have its own flue. If there is more than one flue on the roof the others should be situated at a distance of at least 2 metres and the stove’s chimney top should be at least 40 cm ABOVE the others (Fig. 5.2.3). If the chimney tops are near each other install some dividing panels.

If the fireplace is installed with a flue that has already been used it should be cleaned thoroughly to avoid malfunctions and the danger of unburned parts deposited on the inside from catching fire. Under normal conditions of use of the stove the flue should be cleaned at least once a year.

5.3 PRELIMINARY OPERA TIONS

5.3.1 Adapting

First of all you must check the space available in the existing fireplace and compare it with the size of the ECOP ALEX (Fig. 5.3.1) and the technical data sheet. If it needs adapting by either cutting or altering the inside walls of the existing fireplace, be very careful not to undermine its stability.

Any wood beams, or any finishing in combustible material, must be suitably insulated (or placed outside the area of radiation of the fireplace, see UNI 10683), and must be at a distance form the ECOPALEX of at least 1 cm to guarantee free air flow to avoid overheating.

• Der RAUCHANSCHLUSS zwischen Ofen und Rauchfang muss denselben Schnitt des Rauchausgangs des Ofens aufweisen. Eventuelle waagerecht verlaufende Rohrabschnitte dürfen nicht länger als 2 m sein und müssen in jedem Fall einen Höhenunterschied von 8÷10 cm pro Meter aufweisen sowie in Richtung des Rauchfangs ansteigen. Es sind maximal zwei Krümmungen von 90° zulässig.

• Der SCHORNSTEIN muss WINDFEST sein und innen denselben Schnitt des Rauchfangs aufweisen; der Schnitt des Rauchdurchgangs muss am Ausgang mindestens DOPPELT so groß sein, wie das Innenmaß des Rauchfangs (Abb.5.2.2).

• Um unangenehmen Überraschungen vorzubeugen, muss jeder Kaminofen über einen eigenen unabhängigen Rauchfang verfügen. Bei mehreren Rauchfängen auf dem Dach müssen sich die anderen mindestens in 2 Meter Entfernung befinden und der Schornstein des Kaminofens die anderen um mindestens 40 cm ÜBERRAGEN (Abb. 5.2.3). Sollten die Schornsteine alle dicht beieinander und auf gleicher Höhe liegen, muss für Trennwände gesorgt werden.

• In den Abbildungen 5.2.4 (EBENES DACH; B T echnisches V olumen) und 5.2.5 (GENEIGTES DACH; B Über den Dachfirst hinaus) sind die Tabellen der Bestimmungen der UNI 10683 bzgl.den Abständen und der Positionierung der Schornsteine angeführt. Sollte der Ofen an einen bereits verwendeten Rauchfang angeschlossen werden, ist dieser gründlich zu reinigen, um Betriebsstörungen und Brandgefahr zu vermeiden, die auf Grund der an den Innenflächen des Rauchfangs abgelagerten, unverbrannten Rückständen entstehen können. Es wird empfohlen, die Reinigung bei einem normalen Betrieb mindestens einmal pro Jahr durchzuführen. UNI 10683 - Schornsteine, Abstände und Positionierung: Neigung des Dachs; Abstand zwischen Dachfirst und Kamin; Mindesthöhe des Kamins (gemessen am Austritt) weniger als 1.85 m; höher als 1.85 m; 0.50 m über den Dachfirst hinaus;

5.3.2 Combustion air intake

To ensure the flow of combustion air, it is necessary to make a hole in the outer wall of the room where the Ecopalex is located. The dimensions of the hole must comply with the provisions of table of technical data in chapter 9.

• The UNI 10683 standard prohibits the intake of air

for combustion from garages, rooms where flammable materials are stored or where there is danger of fire.

• The combustion air intake should be protected by an anti-insect grille and placed where it can not be accidentally obstructed.

If there are other heating units in the room, the combustion air intakes must be increased in order to ensure the required volume of air for proper operation

5.3 EINLEITENDE MASSNAHMEN

5.3.1 Anpassungsarbeiten

Zuerst die im bereits bestehenden Kamin vorhandenen Maße prüfen und mit denen des ECOPALEX (Abb. 5.3.1) auf dem technischen Datenblatt vergleichen. Sollten Anpassungsarbeiten nötig sein, bei denen die Innenwände der Feuerstelle zugeschnitten oder geändert werden, darauf achten, dass die Stabilität des Kamins nicht beeinträchtigt wird. Ein eventueller Holzbalken oder jedes andere brennbare Material muss entsprechend isoliert werden (oder aus dem Strahlungsbereich der Feuerstelle entfernt werden, siehe UNI 10683) und ein Abstand von 1 cm zum ECOPALEX für den freien Luftstrom zur Vermeidung einer Überhitzung, muss eingehalten werden.

• La presa d’aria comburente va protetta da una griglia antinsetto e va posizionata in modo tale da non essere ostruita accidentalmente.

Qualora nel locale ci fossero altri apparecchi di riscaldamenro, le prese dell’aria comburente devono essere maggiorate per garantire il volume di aria

necessario al corretto funzionamento di tutti i dispositivi.

Nel caso in cui nella stanza dove è ubicato il caminetto siano presenti e funzionanti uno o più ventilatori di estrazione (cappe di aspirazione) si potrebbero verificare malfunzionamenti alla combustione causati dalla scarsità di aria comburente.

5.3.3 Alloggiamento kit ventilazione 350m³/h o 680 m³/h opzionale

Per i caminetti esistenti predisporre un vano tecnico sotto la base dell’ECOPALEX per alloggiare il ventilatore, di dimensioni almeno pari a quanto indicato in figura (Fig. 5.3.3).

5.3.4 Prese d’aria con kit di ventilazione 350 m³/h.

Con il kit di ventilazione da 350 m³/h è necessario eseguire una presa d’aria per il ventilatore del diametro di 12 cm sul retro o sul fianco del caminetto, in modo tale da consentire l’afflusso di aria al ventilatore.

Se tale presa viene realizzata su una parete esterna deve essere distante almeno 50 cm dalla presa dell’aria comburente; in alternativa si può utilizzare una presa d’aria interna alla stanza (fig.5.3.4).

5.3.5 Prese d’aria con kit di ventilazione da 680 m³/h.

In aggiunta alla presa dell’aria comburente è necessario eseguire le seguenti prese d’aria per il ventilatore:

dovranno essere distanti tra loro almeno 50 cm per evitare il passaggio di fumo dal focolare al circuito di riscaldamento.

Inoltre bisogna evitare di lasciare scollegato il ventilatore dai tubi di aspirazione sotto il piano fuoco: potrebbe aspirare fumo dal focolare e immetterlo nel circuito di riscaldamento.

SOLUZIONE PER DISTRIBUZIONE ARIA CALDA IN PIÙ AMBIENTI (fino a 120 m²) (Fig. 5.3.6)

one or more extraction fans (exhaust hoods and the like), there may be problems with combustion due to lack of combustion air.

5.3.3 Housing with optional ventilation kit, 350 m³/h or 680 m3/h

For existing fireplaces, there must be a compartment under the ECOPALEX base to house the fan. Its dimensions must be as indicated in the figure. (Fig. 5.3.3).

5.3.4 Air intakes with optional ventilation kit 350 m³/h

With the ventilation kit of 350 m³/h it is necessary to provide an air intake for the fan with a diameter of 12 cm on the back or side of the fireplace, in order to allow air flow to the fan.

If this intake is made on an external wall, it must be at least 50 cm from the combustion air intake; as an alternative you can use an air intake in the room (fig.5.3.4).

5.3.2 Verbrennungsluf t

Zur Garantie der Zufuhr von Verbrennungsluft muss an der Außenwand des Raums, in dem Ecopalex aufgestellt wird, eine Öffnung angebracht werden. Die Abmessungen der Öffnung müssen den Angaben in der Tabelle mit den technischen Daten in Kap. 9 entsprechen.

GEFAHR:

• Die UNI-Norm 10683 untersagt die Zufuhr der Verbrennungsluft aus Garagen, Brennstofflagern oder aus brandgefährdeten Räumen.

• Die Frischluftklappe muss durch ein Insektenschutzgitter geschützt sein und so angelegt werden, dass sie nicht versehentlich zugestellt werden kann. Falls sich in der Räumlichkeit mehrere Heizgeräte befinden, müssen die Öffnungen der Verbrennungsluft größer angelegt sein, um die notwendige Luftmenge für den einwandfreien Betrieb aller Vorrichtungen zu garantieren. Falls im Raum, in dem der Heizofen untergebracht ist, ein oder mehrere Abzugsgebläse (Abzugshauben oder ähnliches) vorhanden und in Betrieb sind, könnten Probleme durch zu wenig Verbrennungsluft bei der Verbrennung auftreten.

5.3.5 Air intakes with optional ventilation kit 680 m³/h.

In addition to the combustion air intake, the following air intakes must be provided for the fan:

It is also necessary to avoid leaving the fan

disconnected from the aspiration pipes under the fire bed: it may draw in smoke from the fire box and place it in the heating circuit.

SOLUTION FOR HOT AIR DISTRIBUTION IN SEVERAL ROOMS (up to 120 m

Room air intake to heating circuit fan, located

alternatively connected to an adjacent room (with the exception of the bathroom, kithcen, bedroom) (diameter 15 cm) with grille.

Depending on the solution adopted, during the dry test installation it is advisable to mark the position of the air intakes on both the cladding and the external wall.

• All of the air intakes may be equipped with an adjustable closure shutter, and they must be equipped with an anti-insect grille.

• It is indispensable to clean filters or fine mesh grilles periodically becasue they may become clogged.

5.3.3 Installation zusätzlicher Belüftungsbausatz 350m³/h oder 680 m³/h

Für bereits bestehende Kamine unter dem Unterbau des ECOPALEX einen Raum für die Installation des Gebläses vorbereiten. Die diesbezüglichen Maße sind in der Abbildung angegeben (Abb. 5.3.3).

5.3.4 Lüftungsklappen mit zusätzlichem Bausatz Belüftung 350 m³/h

Bei Lüftungsanlagen mit 350 m³/h muss eine Belüftungsöffnung mit 12 cm Durchmesser für den Lüfter auf der Rückseite oder and en Seitenwänden des Kamins angebracht werden, damit die Luftversorgung des Lüfters gewährleistet ist.

Wird diese Belüftungsöffnung an einer Außenwand angebracht, muss sie mindestens 50 cm von der Öffnung der Verbrennungsluftzufuhr entfernt liegen. Alternativ kann eine Belüftungsöffnung im Raum verwendet werden (Abb. 5.3.4).

5.3.5 Lüftungsklappen mit zusätzlichem Bausatz Belüftung 680 m³/h.

Zusätzlich zur Öffnung für die Verbrennungsluftzufuhr müssen folgende Belüftungsöffnungen für den Lüfter angebracht werden:

In relazione alla soluzione adottata, durante la prova di installazione a secco è opportuno segnare sia sulla parete esterna che sul rivestimento la posizione delle prese d’aria.

• Tutte le prese d’aria possono essere dotate di serrandina di chiusura regolabile, e devono essere corredate di una griglia a rete anti insetto.

• É indispensabile pulire periodicamente eventuali filtri o griglie a maglia fitta che potrebbero ostruirsi.

5.4 LA CANALIZZAZIONE DELL’ARIA

Predisposizione bocchette e canalizzazioni ECOPALEX consente di realizzare la canalizzazione

dell’aria secondo due modalità; per ciascuna di queste descriveremo di seguito le operazioni da eseguire prima del posizionamento di ECOPALEX e rimanderemo al punto in cui viene trattata, la seconda parte dell’installazione:

5.4.1 Kit opzionale distribuzione dell’aria (di serie nei modelli Inserto H66 e Inserto H76)

• Se lo spazio tra il profilo superiore di ECOPALEX e la trave è di almeno 10 cm, i collari di uscita dell’aria possono essere montati prima dell’inserimento di

ECOPALEX.

• In caso contrario si provvederà a praticare un foro sufficientemente ampio sulla cappa del caminetto.

• I collari (B Fig.5.6) si fissano con viti autofilettanti dopo aver tolto i tappi (A Fig.5.6).

5.4.2 Distribuzione aria in un locale adiacente o in controcappa:

Questa modalità è propria dell’ECOPALEX con ventilatori assiali opzionali.

Prima dell’inserimento dell’ECOP ALEX è necessario

• forare i muri e la cappa esistente per permettere il passaggio e I’applicazione dei tubi flessibili del diametro di 14 cm.

• Sono da evitare, per un corretto flusso dell’aria, canalizzazioni superiori ai 2 m di lunghezza (Fig. 5.4.2).

• Se lo spazio tra la parte superiore di ECOPALEX e il profilo inferiore della trave è inferiore ai 10 cm sarà necessario praticare un foro di circa 30 x 40 cm sulla cappa per le successive operazioni di fissaggio dei condotti.

• Le bocchette vanno fissate sulla cappa o su una parete ad una altezza di aImeno 1,80/2,00 m daI pavimento per evitare che I’aria calda in uscita investa le persone.

• Se si vuole far passare il cavo di alimentazione dei ventilatori esternamente al caminetto, eseguire un foro del diametro di 2 cm in corrispondenza dell’uscita del cavo di alimentazione (Fig. 5.4.2.1).

5.4.3 Kit opzionale condutture canalizzate per riscaldamento di più ambienti

Per il riscaldamento di più locali è possibile dotare

5.4 AIR DUCT

Arranging vents and ducts

With ECOPALEX the air duct can be done in two different ways. For each of these we are going to describe below the steps to follow before positioning your ECOPALEX and then refer to the point where the second part of the installation is described:

5.4.1 Optional air distribution kit (a standard feature on the Inserto H66 and Inserto H76 models)

• If the space between the upper profile of ECOPALEX and the beam is at least 10 cm, the air outlet collars can be mounted before installing ECOPALEX.

• On the contrary, drill a big enough hole on the fireplace’s hood.

• Fix the collars (B Fig. 5.6) with self-tapping screws after having removed the plugs (A Fig.5.6)

5.4.2 Air distribution in an adjacent room or in counter hood:

This mode is peculiar to ECOPALEX with optional axial fans. Before recessing the ECOPALEX the following

has to be done:

• drill the walls and existing hood to allow passage and application of the 14 cm diameter flexible pipes.

• to ensure a correct flow of air avoid ducts that are longer than 2 metres (Fig. 5.4.2).

• if the space between the upper part of the ECOPALEX and the lower profile of the beam is less than 10 cm it will be necessary to make a hole about 30 x 40 cm on the hood to fix the ducts later.

• fix the vents on the hood or wall at a height of at least 1.80-

2.00 m from the ground to prevent hot air hitting people.

• if you wish to lay the fans’ power cable outside the fireplace, make a 2 cm diameter hole where the power cable comes through (Fig. 5.4.2.1).

5.4.3 Ducted pipes for heating several rooms (optional kit)

To heat more than one room the ECOPALEX fireplace can be fitted with the optional “350” “680” fan and metal pipes for distributing the air as follows:

• flexible aluminium pipe – maximum 2-3 m in length per pipe

• plain metal pipe or duct – up to 3+3 m in length on a double duct; 6 m on just the one duct.

Double duct piping (Fig. 5.4.3 A)

Install a vent in the same room as the fireplace. The second pipe can be used to carry hot air to the other rooms in the house.

Single duct piping (Fig. 5.4.3 B)

Alternatively, connect both hot air delivery pipes to a flexible pipe up to the opening of the distribution channels.

The pipes for distributing air must have an inside cross section of 25 x 15 cm, they must be made in plain galvanised sheet and insulated with a 30 mm thick layer

Öffnung Raumluft (wie angeschlossen), oder

alternativ an einen daneben liegenden raum angeschlossen (mit Ausnahme von Küche, Bad, Schlafzimmer) (Durchmesser 15 cm), mit Gitter. Bezüglich der angewandten Lösung. sollte man während der Probemontage ohne Anschlüsse auf der Aussenwand und auf der Verkleidung die Punkte der Luftöffnungen kennzeichnen.

• Alle Luftöffnungen können mit einer einstellbaren Schliessklappe ausgerüstet werden und müssen ein Insektenschutzgitter haben.

• Eventuelle, dichtmaschige Filter oder Gitter müssen in regelmässigen Zeitabständen gereinigt werden, um Verstopfungen zu vermeiden.

5.4 DIE LUFTLEITUNG

Vorbereitung der Luf tstutzen und Leitungen ECOPALEX erlaubt zwei Möglichkeiten der Luftleitung;

für jede dieser Möglichkeiten werden anschließend die vor der Aufstellung des ECOPALEX notwendigen Maßnahmen beschrieben, wobei auf den zweiten Abschnitt der Installation nur hingewiesen wird:

5.4.1 Zusatzeinheit zur Luftverteilung (serienmässig bei den Modellen Inserto H66 und Inserto H76)

• Sollte der Abstand zwischen dem oberen Profil des ECOPALEX und des Balkens mindestens 10 cm betragen, können die Luft-Ausgangsstutzen vor dem Einbau des ECOPALEX montiert werden.

• Andernfalls an der Abzugshaube des Kaminofens eine geeignete Aussparung anfertigen.

• Die Deckel (B Abb. 5.6 ) der Rohrstutzen abnehmen und diese dann mit selbstschneidenden Schrauben befestigen (A Abb.5.6 ).

5.4.2 Luftverteilungssystem für anliegende Räume oder mit Gegenabzugshaube

Der ECOPALEX mit zusätzlichen Axialgebläsen funktioniert mit diesem System. Vor dem Einbau des ECOPALEX sind folgende Schritte notwendig

• die bestehende Mauer und Abzugshaube durchbrechen, um das Durchführen und die Montage der biegsamen Rohre mit 14 cm Durchmesser zu ermöglichen.

• Für eine korrekte Luftzirkulation sind Leitungen über 2 m Länge zu vermeiden (Abb. 5.4.2).

• Sollte der Freiraum zwischen dem Oberteil des ECOPALEX und dem unteren Profil des Balkens unter 10 cm liegen, muss an der Abzugshaube eine Öffnung (ca. 30x40 cm) vorbereitet werden, um die Befestigung

Installare una bocchetta nella stanza stessa del caminetto, la seconda conduttura potrà essere utilizzata per portare l’aria calda in altre stanze della casa.

In alternativa collegare entrambe le mandate dell’aria calda con un tubo flessibile fino all’imboccatura degli opportuni canali di distribuzione. I condotti per la distribuzione dell’aria dovranno avere una sezione interna di 25x15 cm, essere costruiti in lamiera zincata liscia e coibentati con materassino in lana di vetro da 30 mm per evitare rumorosità e dispersione di calore. Quando il caminetto viene utilizzato per riscaldare 2 o più locali adiacenti è indispensabile favorire il ricircolo dell’aria ambiente per uniformare la temperatura nelle varie stanze. Predisporre quindi griglie di transito sulle porte o tenere le porte socchiuse.

5.5 RACCORDO FUMI ECOPALEX - CANNA FUMARIA

L’ECOPALEX deve essere collegato alla canna fumaria con tubi e curve in acciaio alluminato o inox. È sconsigliato il tubo in acciaio inox flessibile perché non offre garanzia di durata nel tempo. II collegamento può essere effettuato in due modi:

a) Collegamento diretto tra caminetto e canna fumaria.

Se non è possibile passare con i tubi tra il caminetto e la cappa, è opportuno agevolarne il collegamento e il montaggio con un foro da praticare sulla cappa stessa (Figg.5.4.1- 5.5)

b) Collegamento con kit tubo telescopico (opzionale).

Questa è la soluzione nel caso di installazione di ECOPALEX su caminetti già esistenti.

• Fissare prima di tutto il tubo telescopico ad un’altezza tale che tra la base del raccordo e la parte superiore dell’Ecopalex vi sia uno spazio di 2 ÷ 12 cm (Fig. 5.5).

• Il fissaggio dovrà avvenire con viti autofilettanti nella parte inferiore dell’anello precappa o della cappa, in corrispondenza dell’asse dell’imboccatura del caminetto.

• Innestare poi i tubi e le curve sigillando la giunzione con fibra ceramica e malta cementizia (Fig.5.5). Se non si riesce ad inserire i tubi e a fare la stuccatura dal basso è necessario forare la cappa del caminetto esistente (Fig. 5.4.1).

L’innesto alla canna fumaria o la sezione di passaggio nell’anello precappa devono essere perfettamente sigillati (Fig. 5.5: A sigillare, B raccordo telescopico).

L’imperfetta sigillatura infatti può provocare un passaggio d’aria in canna fumaria con conseguente riduzione del tiraggio dell’ECOPALEX e un rapido e persistente annerimento del vetro ceramico della portina. Un’altra conseguenza è la fuoriuscita del calore dell’ambiente attraverso la canna fumaria.

of glass wool to prevent noise and the loss of heat. When the fireplace is used to heat 2 or more adjacent

rooms, it is essential to help the recycling of the ambient air to keep the temperature the same in each room. For this purpose, install transit grilles on the doors or keep them ajar.

5.5 ECOP ALEX SMOKE FITTING - FLUE

The ECOPALEX must be connected to the flue with pipes and curves in aluminate steel or stainless steel. We advise against flexible stainless steel piping because it offers no guarantee of a long life. It can be connected in two different ways:

a) directly between fireplace and flue.

If the pipes cannot be made to pass between the fireplace and hood it would be a good idea to facilitate the connection and assembly by making a hole on the actual hood (Figs. 5.4.1-5.5)

b) using the optional telescopic tube kit-

This is the way to do to it if you are installing your ECOPALEX in an existing fireplace.

• First fix the telescopic pipe at a height so that there is a space of 2 to 12 cm between the base of the connection and the upper part of the Ecopalex (Fig. 5.5).

• For fixing use self-tapping screws at the bottom of the prehood ring or hood, at the fireplace opening.

• Now fit the pipes and curves, sealing the join with ceramic fibre and cement mortar (Fig.5.5). If you are unable to insert the pipes and fill in from the bottom, drill the hood of the existing fireplace (Fig. 5.4.1).

The connection to the flue or the passage cross section in the prehood ring must be sealed accurately (Fig. 5.5: A seal, B telescopic fitting).

In fact, if sealing is anything but perfect, air could get through to the flue and reduce the ECOPALEX draught plus the ceramic glass of the door will turn and remain black. Another consequence would be heat escaping through the flue.

If, in the existing fireplace, there is a beam or other parts in wood that are less than 16 cm away from the top edge of the ECOP ALEX, such combustible material must be protected from heat with an insulating panel, such as cement chip or any other suitable material (Fig. 5.5: C Cement chip panel ).

5.6 OPTIONAL FRONT FRAME KIT

Front frame kit, used to fix and blend ECOPALEX in with the structure of the fireplace where it is recessed in. During the preinstallation phase, it will be necessary to first fix the profiles on the side edges and upper edge of the ECOPALEX using the relative screws (Fig.

If you are not going to use the front filler frame, leave a gap of at least 1 cm for air to circulate.

5.6.1 Central filler frame (optional)

• Measure the side panels and the front panel. If

5.4.3 Luftleitungen fur das hiezen mehrerer räume (optional)

Für das Heizen mehrerer Räume kann der ECOPALEX mit einem Ventilator “350” oder “680” als Option ausgestattet werden, wozu dann Metallleitungen für die Luftverteilung nach folgendem Schema zu verlegen sind:

• biegsames Aluminiumrohr - max. Länge 2-3 m pro Leitung.

• glattes Metallrohr oder Schacht - Länge bis zu 3+3 m bei doppelter Leitung; 6 m bei einer einzigen Leitung

Einen Stutzen im gleichen Raum des Kaminofens installieren - die zweite Leitung kann für weitere Räume benutzt werden.

Andernfalls beide Warmluftströme mit einem biegsamen Rohr bis zum Anschluss an die Verteilerleitungen führen. Die Luftverteilerleitungen müssen innen 25x15 cm messen, aus glattem, verzinktem Stahl gefertigt und zur akustischen bzw. Thermischen Isolierung mit 30 mm Glaswolle isoliert sein. Wird der Kaminofen zum Heizen von 2 oder mehreren, nebeneinanderliegenden Räumen verwendet, muss die Luftzirkulation unbedingt gefördert werden, um die Temperatur in allen Räumen gleichmäßig zu halten. Dazu an den Türen Lüftungsgitter anbringen oder die Türen immer halb offen halten.

5.5 RAUCHANSCHLUSS ECOPALEX - RAUCHF ANG

Der ECOPALEX muss mittels Rohren und Krümmungen aus aluminiertem Stahl oder Edelstahl an den Rauchfang angeschlossen werden. Vom Einsatz eines biegsamen Edelstahlrohrs wird abgeraten, da dieses keine langfristige Garantie bietet. Der Anschluss kann auf zwei verschiedene Weisen erfolgen:

a) Direkter Anschluss zwischen Kaminofen und Rauchfang. Sollte es nicht möglich sein, die Rohre

zwischen Kaminofen und Abzugshaube zu verlegen, ist der Anschluss und die Montage durch eine Öffnung an der Abzugshaube vorzunehmen (Abb. 5.3.1-5.5).

b) Anschluss mit Teleskoprohr (Option).

So wird der ECOPALEX in bereits existenten Kaminen installiert.

• Zuerst das Teleskoprohr so befestigen, dass zwischen unterer Grenze des Anschlusses und oberer Kante des Ecopalex noch 2-12 cm Freiraum bleiben (Abb. 5.5).

• Das Rohr wird mittels selbstschneidenden Schrauben im unteren Bereich des Rings vor der Abzugshaube oder der Abzugshaube, übereinstimmend mit dem Anschluss des Kamins befestigt.

• Danach die Rohre und Krümmungen ineinander

Qualora nel caminetto esistente ci fosse una trave oppure altre parti in legno ad una distanza inferiore a 16 cm dal filo superiore dell’ECOPALEX, è necessario proteggere dal calore le parti in materiale combustibile con un pannello isolante tipo truciolo cemento o altro materiale adatto (Fig.5.5: C pannello in truciolo-cemento).

5.6 KIT OPZIONALE CORNICE FRONTALE

Il Kit cornice frontale serve a fissare ed armonizzare l’ECOPALEX alla struttura del caminetto in cui viene inserito. Nella fase di preinstallazione sarà necessario fissare prima i profili sui bordi laterali e sul bordo superiore dell’ECOPALEX con le apposite viti (Fig.5.6: A tappi, B collari uscita aria, C supporti cornice frontale ). Qualora non si utilizzi la cornice di chiusura frontale è necessario lasciare una fessura di almeno 1 cm per la circolazione dell’aria.

5.6.1 Kit opzionale cornice per chiusura centrale

• Rilevare le misure dei pannelli laterali e del pannello frontale; se necessario tagliarli con forbici da lamiera o con cesoie, fissarli con le apposite viti ai profili precedentemente applicati sull’ECOPALEX (Fig.5.6.1). Qualora non si utilizzi la cornice di chiusura frontale è necessario lasciare una fessura di almeno 1 cm per la circolazione dell’aria (Fig. 5 ). In ogni caso le feritoie poste sotto il cassetto cenere o sul fianco non vanno mai ostruite per non compromettere I’efficienza della combustione.

5.7 INSERIMENTO DI ECOP ALEX

Appoggiare innanzitutto I’ECOPALEX sul piano fuoco del caminetto. Stendere sul fondo del collare a bicchiere (posto nella parte superiore) un cordone di pasta sigill-fuoco (sigillante che resiste a 800°C). Fare poi scorrere I’apparecchiatura nella posizione definitiva. Si può facilitarne lo scorrimento utilizzando due guide di lamiera dello spessore di 2/3 mm poste sotto I’ECOPALEX, che verranno tolte a posizionamento avvenuto (Fig. 5.7).

5.8 INNESTO DEL TUBO TELESCOPICO

Caso di installazione di ECOPALEX su caminetti già esistenti. Occorre innanzi tutto aprire la portina, togliere il deflettore fumi in ghisa (Fig. 5.8.1) e sfilarlo verso il basso. Togliere la farfalla fumi sollevandola prima sul lato destro quindi sfilandola dalla bussola sinistra. Poi, tirare verso il basso con una mano il tondino fissato nel tubo telescopico e inserirlo nell’apposita sede. Infine, togliere il sigillante eventualmente traboccato all’interno e riposizionare nella propria sede la farfalla e il deflettore fumi in ghisa. II raccordo fumi sarà così completato.

5.9 ECOPALEX E VENTILAZIONE

ECOPALEX può essere fornito dotato di ventilatori

necessary remove them with shears; fix them to the profiles attached previously to ECOPALEX (Fig. 5.6.1) with the relative screws. If you are not going to use the front filler fame leave a gap of at least 1 cm for air to circulate (Fig. 5).

The slits under the ash box or on the side must never be obstructed so as not to undermine combustion efficiency.

5.7 PUTTING ECOP ALEX IN

Before anything else, stand the ECOPALEX on the fireplace level. Spread a line of fire-sealant paste (that resists a temperature of 800°C) on the bottom of the collar (at the top). Move the fireplace into the final position. You can make it easier to move by using two 2-3 mm thick metal sheet guides under it, removing them once the fireplace is positioned (Fig. 5.7).

5.8 FITTING THE TELESCOPIC PIPE

This is the case when you are installing the ECOPALEX in an existing fireplace.

You first of all have to open the door, remove the cast iron smoke diaphragm (Fig. 5.8.1) and pull it out downwards. Remove the smoke butterfly regulator diaphragm, lifting it first on the right and then pulling it out from the left bush. Now, with one hand, pull the rod fixed in the telescopic pipe downwards and put it in place. Lastly, remove any excess ealant from inside and put the butterfly diaphragm back in place as well as the cast iron smoke diaphragm. The smoke fitting is now installed.

5.9 ECOPALEX AND VENTILA TION

ECOPALEX can be equipped with axial fans which will

improve its performance by ventilating just the one room it is installed in or as described in point 5.3.1 for distributing air through the counter hood and/or room by using theoptional air distribution. For a more complete distribution of the hot air, according to point

5.4, it will be necessary to use the ventilation kit “350”, as described at point 5.9.2.

5.9.1 Optional fan control unit kit

The axial fans in the ECOPALEX can be turned on

and their speed adjusted with the relative control unit (Fig. 5.9.1).

SWITCHES FOR THE FANS

If the optional control unit is not installed, flush mount a switch for starting and stopping the fans, fitted with fuses.

The electrical circuit features a minimum temperature thermostat that lets the fans start only if the fire is lit (which occurs after 15-20 minutes depending on the size of the fire) and the fans will stop when it is cold. The ECOPALEX can also work without the fans on.

The control unit and all electrical parts must be installed and connected by skilled personnel in compliance with current standards. It must be possible to inspect and remove the control unit and all the electrical parts for maintenance or repairs.

stecken und mit Fiberfrax und Zementmörtel abdichten (Abb.5.5). Ist es unmöglich, die Rohre einzustecken und von unten zu verfugen, muss die Abzugshaube des bestehenden Kamins durchbohrt werden (Abb. 5.4.1).

Der Ansatz zum Rauchfang oder der Durchgangsquerschnitt des Rings vor der VorAbzugshaube müssen einwandfrei versiegelt sein (Abb. 5.5: A Versiegeln , B Teleskopisches Verbindungsstück).

Eine unvollständige Versiegelung kann einen Lufteintritt in den Rauchfang mit darauffolgendem schwächer werdenden Rauchabzug des ECOPALEX und ein schnelles und hartnäckiges Schwarzwerden des Türglases verursachen. Eine weitere Auswirkung ist, dass die Raumwärme über den Rauchfang verloren geht. Sollten im existenten Kamin ein Holzbalken bzw. andere Holzteile vorhanden sein, deren Abstand zum oberen Rand des ECOPALEX weniger als 16 cm misst, müssen diese Teile aus brennbarem Material durch eine Isolierplatte aus Zementspan oder anderem geeignetem Material isoliert werden (Abb.5.5: C Zementspanplatte).

5.6 ZUSÄTZLICHER BAUSATZ VORDERER RAHMEN

Der vordere Rahmen dient zur harmonischen Befestigung des ECOPALEX an der Struktur des Kamins, in dem er eingesetzt wird. Während der Vorinstallation zuerst die Profile mit den geeigneten Schrauben seitlich und an der oberen Kante des ECOPALEX befestigen (Abb.5.6: A Verschlüsse, B Luftauslässe, C Halterungen vorderer Rahmen). Sollte der vordere Abschlussrahmen nicht verwendet werden, muss mindestens 1 cm Freiraum zur Luftzirkulation freigelassen werden.

5.6.1 Zusätzlicher Bausatz vorderer Rahmen für mittige Schliessung

• Die Seitenpaneele und das Vorderpaneel abmessen; wenn nötig, die Paneele mit einer Blechschere zuschneiden und mit den dafür vorgesehenen Schrauben an den zuvor am ECOPALEX angebrachten Profilen befestigen (Abb.5.6.1). Sollte der vordere Abschlussrahmen nicht verwendet werden, ist für die Luftumwälzung mindestens 1 cm Freiraum (Abb. 5) notwendig. Die Schlitze unter der Aschenlade oder seitlich davon dürfen keinesfalls verschlossen werden, um den einwandfreien Ablauf der Verbrennung nicht zu beeinträchtigen.

5.7 EINBAU DES ECOPALEX

Den ECOPALEX auf die Feuerstelle des Kamins aufsetzen. An der Unterseite des Muffenrohrs (im oberen Bereich angebracht) etwas feuerfesten Leim (bis zu 800°C feuerfest) zur Versiegelung auftragen. Danach das Gerät auf die endgültige Position verschieben. Das Verschieben kann unter Anwendung zweier Blechschienen mit 2-3 mm Stärke, die unter den ECOPALEX eingeschoben und nach der endgültigen Aufstellung wieder entfernt werden, erfolgen (Abb. 5.7).

Per una canalizzazione più complessa dell’aria calda, secondo le modalità viste al punto 5.4, sarà invece necessario utilizzare il kit ventilatore “350”, come descritto al punto 5.9.2.

5.9.1 Kit opzionale centralina di regolazione ventilatori

Nell’ECOPALEX con ventilatori assiali I’accensione e la regolazione della velocità possono venire effettuate tramite la apposita centralina (Fig. 5.9.1).

INTERRUTTORI PER I VENTILAT ORI

Nel caso non venga installata la centralina opzionale di regolazione per i ventilatori, prevedere per I’avvio e I’arresto degli stessi, un interruttore ad incasso collegato ai ventilatori e dotato di fusibili. II circuito elettrico è dotato di un termostato di minima che permette I’avvio dei ventilatori solo con fuoco acceso (che avverrà dopo 15÷20 minuti a seconda del volume di fuoco), e si spegneranno a struttura fredda. Ricordiamo infine che ECOPALEX può funzionare anche a ventilatori spenti. La centralina e tutte le parti elettriche dovranno essere installate e collegate da personale abilitato e nel rispetto delle norme vigenti. Dovranno essere inoltre ispezionabili e removibili per eventuali interventi di manutenzione o riparazione.

Quando invece si desideri distribuire l’aria riscaldata secondo canalizzazioni più complesse, come indicato al punto 5.4.2, sarà necessario utilizzare il ventilatore “350” o "680" a seconda del modello, predisponendo l’intero sistema come indicato precedentemente e nelle istruzioni dei kit.

5.8 EINFÜGEN DES TELESKOPROHRS

Installation des ECOPALEX in bereits existenten Kaminöfen. Zuerst die Tür öffnen, das gusseiserne Rauchleitblech abnehmen (Abb.5.8.1) und nach unten herausziehen. Die Rauchklappe zuerst rechts anheben und dann aus der linken Buchse nehmen. Danach das im Teleskoprohr befestigte Rundeisen mit einer Hand nach unten ziehen und in seinen Sitz einfügen. Abschließend die eventuell ins Innere übergelaufene Versiegelungsmasse entfernen; die Rauchklappe und das Gusseisen-Rauchleitblech wieder wie ursprünglich anordnen. Nun ist der Rauchanschluss komplettiert.

5.9 ECOP ALEX UND GEBLÄSE

ECOPALEX kann mit Axialgebläsen geliefert werden,

die die Kaminofenleistung durch die Luftumwälzung i m Aufstellungsraum verbessert. Andernfalls kann die Luft laut Punkt 5.3.1 in der Gegenhaube bzw. im angrenzenden Raum mittels Einsatz der Luftverteilungseinheit verteilt werden. Für eine ausführlichere Leitung der Konvektionsluft, laut Punkt

5.4, ist es notwendig den Ventilatorbausatz « 350 » zu benutzen, wie im Punkt 5.9.2 beschrieben.

5.9.1 Zusätzlicher Bausatz Ventilatorsteuerung

Im ECOPALEX mit Axialgebläsen kann die Zündung und Geschwindigkeitseinstellung über die dafür geeignete Steuerung erfolgen (Abb. 5.9.1).

VENTILATORSCHALTER

Sollte die Steuerzentrale nicht installiert werden, muss für das Ein- und Ausschalten der Gebläse ein eingebauter, mit den Gebläsen verbundener und mit Schmelzsicherungen ausgestatteter Schalter vorgesehen werden.

Der Stromkreis ist mit einem Mindesttemperaturregler ausgestattet, der den Gebläsebetrieb nur bei brennendem Feuer zulässt (die Ventilatoren setzen je nach Feuerstärke nach 15-20 Minuten ein) und sich nach dem Abkühlen der Struktur ausschaltet. Der ECOPALEX kann auch bei ausgeschalteten Gebläsen funktionieren.

Die Steuereinheit und alle elektrischen Bestandteile müssen von Fachpersonal und laut den einschlägig gültigen Normen installiert und angeschlossen werden. Die Steuerzentrale und alle elektrischen Teile müssen für eventuelle Wartungs- oder Reparaturarbeiten erreichbar und abnehmbar sein.

5.9.2 Zusätzlicher Ventilatorbausatz “350” oder “680” mit Steuereinheit

Soll die Luft hingegen laut Punkt 5.4.2 über komplexere Leitungen verteilt werden, ist der Ventilator “350” oder “680”, je nach Modell, zu verwenden und das gesamte System, wie bereits vorstehend und in den Anweisungen der Bausätze beschrieben, auszulegen.

6 MESSA IN SERVIZIO ED USO

6.1 MANUTENZIONE ORDINARIA RIVOL TA ALL’UTILIZZA T ORE

6.1.1 Prima accensione

1. La prima accensione si esegue a fuoco moderato e per un tempo di circa un’ora per permettere il completo assestamento degli eventuali tamponamenti in muratura sul raccordo fumi e I’essiccazione dei materiali protettivi delle parti metalliche.

2. Accendere il fuoco usando legna sottile e ben stagionata in modo che sviluppi il più possibile la fiamma. A fuoco avviato si potranno utilizzare pezzature di legna più grandi, purché asciutta ed essiccata. È vietato bruciare legna verniciata. L’ uso delle conifere (pino, abete) è sconsigliato: contengono elevate quantità di sostanze resinose che intasano velocemente la canna fumaria.

3. L’apertura della portina va eseguita gradualmente per permettere ai fumi del focolare di essere aspirati dalla canna fumaria evitando così fuoriuscite di fumo in ambiente. Nell’avviamento del caminetto, quando il focolare non ha ancora raggiunto la temperatura ottimale, è consigliabile farlo funzionare alcuni minuti con la portina accostata alla sede di battuta, ma non chiusa, per permettere I’evaporazione della condensa che viene a formarsi sul vetro. A fuoco avviato la portina dovrà essere chiusa per ottimizzare il rendimento e quindi il consumo di legna.

4. Durante la prima accensione si può verificare la formazione e la fuoriuscita di fumi dovuta alla completa essiccazione delle vernici.

• TIRAGGIO CAMINO - 12 Pa (consigliato)

• SOVRACCARICHI DI LEGNA: provocano anomale sollecitazioni che possono deformare le ghise interne.

Per accendere il fuoco non usare mai alcool, benzina,

kerosene o altri combustibili liquidi. Tenere gli stessi lontano dal fuoco. Non usare zollette accendi-fuoco derivate dal petrolio o di origine chimica: possono arrecare gravi danni alle pareti del focolare. Utilizzare esclusivamente zollette accendi-fuoco di tipo ecologico.

Durante il funzionamento, eventuali materiali

infiammabili devono essere posti ad almeno 85 cm dalla zona dell’irraggiamento (superfici vetrate dell’Ecopalex).

Non toccare le parti verniciate durante le prime accensioni per evitare danneggiamenti alla verniciatura.

6.1.2 Tipo di combustibile

La stufa va alimentata preferibilmente con legna di faggio/betulla ben stagionata oppure con brichette di legno. Ciascun tipo di legna possiede caratteristiche diverse che influenzano anche il rendimento della combustione.

L’uso delle conifere (pino-abete) è sconsigliato: contengono elevate quantità di sostanze resinose che intasano velocemente la canna fumaria.

6.1 ORDINARY MAINTENANCE FOR THE USER

6.1.1 Lighting the fireplace for the first time

1. The first time you light your fireplace the flames should burn at a moderate rate for approximately an hour to allow complete settling of any masonry fillings on the smoke fitting and drying of the protective materials of the metallic parts.

2. Light the fire using old and finely chopped wood so that the flame develops as much as possible. Once the fire is going well you can use larger pieces of wood provided they are dry. It is prohibited to burn painted wood. The use of conifers, such as pine or fir, is not advisable. They contain high amounts of resinous substances that rapidly obstruct the flue pipe.

3. The door should be opened gradually so the smoke can be drawn up the flue and not in the room. When lighting the fireplace, and until it reaches the right temperature, it should burn for a few minutes with the door ajar so enable the condensation that forms on the glass can evaporate. Once the fire is burning well, close the door to optimise yield and, consequently, wood consumption.

4. The first time you light the fireplace smoke may form and escape due to the complete drying of the paints.

• FLUE DRAUGHT - 12 P A (recommended)

• OVERLOADS OF WOOD: cause excessive stress that can deform the internal cast iron parts.

Never use alcohol, petrol, kerosene or other liquid

fuels to light the fire. Keep these substances far away from the fire. Do not use petrol or chemical origin firelighters as they can seriously damage the hearth’s walls.

Only use ecological fire lighting aids. When the appliance is working, possible inflammable

materials must be placed at a distance of at least 85 cm from the radiation surface (glass sides of the hearth).

Do not touch the painted parts during first lightings to avoid damaging the paint finish.

6.1.2 Type of fuel

The stove is to be fed preferably with mature beech or birch wood or with lignite briquettes. Each type of wood has different characteristics that also influence combustion yield.

Use of pinewood (pine, fir) is not recommended as it contains high quantities of resin substances that quickly clog the flue.

It is forbidden to burn: pieces of bark, wood treated with varnish, pressed wood panels, coal, plastic materials; in this case, the guarantee on the appliance is no more valid.

IMPORTANT: the continuous and prolonged burning of wood types rich of aromatic oils (e.g. eucalyptus, myrth, etc.) will cause the rapid corrosion of the cast iron parts of the appliance.

6.1 REGELMÄSSIGE INSTANDHAL TUNG - FÜR DEN BENUTZER

6.1.1 Erste Zündung

1. Die erste Zündung muss bei mittlerem Feuer für ca. eine Stunde erfolgen, damit sich die eventuellen Mauererarbeiten an dem RauchfangVerbindungsstück setzen und die Schutzmaterialien der metallenen Teile trocknen können.

2. Das Feuer mit Hilfe einer geringen Menge an kleineren und gut abgelagerten Holzstücken entzünden, damit sich die Flamme so gut wie möglich entwickeln kann. Sobald das Feuer gut brennt, können größere Holzstücke, die allerdings trocken und abgelagert sein müssen, verwendet werden. Es ist verboten, lackiertes Holz zu verbrennen. Es wird davon abgeraten, Koniferen (Pinie, Tanne) zu verwenden: Diese enthalten viele harzige Substanzen, die den Rauchfang schnell verstopfen.

3. Die Tür stufenweise öffnen, damit der Rauch von der Feuerstelle in den Rauchfang gesogen werden kann und nicht in den Raum austritt. Beim Einheizen des kalten Kaminofens sollte die Tür nur angelehnt und nicht geschlossen sein, damit das Kondenswasser, das sich auf dem Glas bildet, verdunsten kann. Wenn das Feuer einmal brennt, muss die Tür geschlossen werden, um auf diese Weise die Leistung und den Holzverbrauch zu optimieren.

4. Bei der ersten Zündung kann es zu Rauchbildung und Rauchaustritt kommen, was auf ein völliges Trocknen der Lacke zurückzuführen ist.

• KAMINABZUG - 12 PA (empfohlen)

• ZU GROSSE HOLZMENGEN: verursachen abnorme

Belastungen, wodurch sich das Gusseisen im Kaminofen verformen kann.

Zum Anzünden des Feuers nie Alkohol, Benzin,

Kerosen oder andere flüssige Brennstoffe verwenden. Diese müssen vom Feuer fern gehalten werden. Keine Feuerzünder-Würfel auf Petrolium- oder chemischer Basis verwenden, da sie die Wände des Feuerraums schwer beschädigen können.

Nur umweltfreundliche Feuerzünder-Würfel benutzen.

Wann der Einsatz in Betrieb ist, eventuelle nicht feuerfeste Materialien müssen mindestens 85 cm von der Strahlungsoberfläche (Glassscheiben des Einsatzes) entfernt werden.

Während der ersten Zündungen nicht die lackierten Teile berühren, um die Lackierung nicht zu beschädigen.

6.1.2 Brenstoffe

Der Ofen sollte vorzugsweise mit gut getrocknetem Buchen- bzw. Birkenholz oder aber mit Braunkohlebriketts betrieben werden. Jedes Holz weist individuelle Eigenschaften auf , d.h. jede Holzart wirkt sich unterschiedlich auf die Brennleistungaus.

Non possono essere bruciati: cascami di corteccia, legna trattata con vernici, pannelli, carbone, materiali

plastici; in questi casi decade la garanzia dell’apparecchio.

IMPORTANTE: l’uso continuo e prolungato di legna particolarmente ricca di olii aromatici (es. eucalipto, mirto, ecc.) provoca il deterioramento repentino dei componenti in ghisa che compongono il prodotto.

La resa nominale in kW della stufa dichiarata, si ottiene bruciando una corretta quantità di legna, facendo attenzione a non sovraccaricare la camera di combustione. La lunghezza ideale della legna è data dalla lunghezza del portaceppi.

La quantità di legna consigliata è indicata nella tabella del paragrafo 9.

6.1.3 Controllo della combustione

ECOPALEX è dotato del sistema a doppia

combustione (Vedi Pag. 2)

LA COMBUSTIONE PRIMARIA:

da origine alla fiamma principale, quella che si sviluppa a contatto con il ceppo; viene favorita immettendo aria nel braciere attraverso le feritoie del frontalino inferiore. La regolazione dell’aria primaria si effettua in modo diverso, in ragione del modello di ECOPALEX considerato:

• ECOP ALEX 64 aperto dx e sx (Fig.6.1.3 A) questi modelli presentano una leva nella parte centrale del frontalino inferiore; spostandola verso sx si diminuisce l’apporto di aria primaria, lo si aumenta invece spostandola a destra. A fuoco avviato, la leva può essere posizionata circa a metà apertura in funzione del tiraggio della canna fumaria e della quantità di aria che si vuol fornire.

• ECOP ALEX 64 frontale, 64 tondo, 66, 70 (Fig.6.1.3 B) questi modelli presentano un pomello sulla sinistra del cassetto cenere; spostandolo verso sx si diminuisce l’apporto di aria primaria, lo si aumenta invece spostandolo a destra. A fuoco avviato, il pomello può essere posizionato a circa metà apertura, in funzione del tiraggio della canna fumaria e della quantità di aria che si vuol fornire.

• ECOPALEX 76 (Fig.6.1.3 C) in questo modello la fiamma viene regolata avvitando o svitando il pomello posto sul cassetto cenere (Fig.6.1.3.1 A). Appena il fuoco sarà avviato ridurre I’apertura a 1-1,5 giri in funzione del tiraggio della canna fumaria e della quantità di aria che si vuol fornire.

• ECOPALEX 78, 88, INSERTO 66, INSERTO 76 questi modelli presentano una leva nella parte centrale del frontalino inferiore (Fig.6.1.3.2 A); spostandola verso sx si diminuisce l’apporto di aria primaria, lo si aumenta invece spostandola a destra. A fuoco avviato, la leva può essere posizionata a circa metà apertura, in funzione del tiraggio della canna fumaria e della quantità di aria che si vuol fornire.

The declared nominal yield of the chimney is obtained by burning the right quantity of wood, making sure not to overload the combustion chamber. The ideal length of the wood is provided by the length of the log holder. The suggested quantity of wood is shown in the table in paragraph 9.

6.1.3 Controlling combustion

PRIMARY COMBUSTION:

this gives origin to the main flame that becomes bigger when it sets the firewood alight. It is helped by letting air into the hearth through the slits on the bottom front panel.

Primary air is regulated differently according to the ECOPALEX model used:

• ECOPALEX 64 open on the right and left (Fig.6.1.3 A) these models have a lever in the middle of the bottom

front panel: by moving this lever to the left less primary air is let in while more is let in by moving it to the right.

Once the fire is burning well, put the lever in the half open position, depending on the flue draught and on the quantity of air wanted.

• ECOPALEX 64 front, 64 round, 66, 70(Fig.6.1.3 B) these models have a knob on the left of the ash box:

by moving this knob to the left less primary air is let in while more is let in by moving it to the right.

Once the fire is burning well, put the knob in the half open position, depending on the flue draught and on the quantity of air wanted.

• ECOPALEX 76 (Fig.6.1.3 C) in this model the flame is regulated by loosening or

tightening the knob on the ash box (Fig. 6.1.3.1 A) As soon as the fire is burning, reduce the opening to

1-1.5 revs depending on the flue draught and on the quantity of air wanted.

• ECOPALEX 78, 88, INSERTO 66, INSERTO 76 these models have a lever in the middle of the bottom

front panel (Fig.6.1.3.2 A) by moving this lever to the left less primary air is let in while more is let in by moving it to the right.

Von der Verwendung von Koniferen (Fichte, Tanne) ist abzuraten: sie enthalten eine grosse Menge harzhaltiger Substanzen, die in kurzer Zeit den Rauchfang verschmutzen.

Es ist verboten folgende Materialien zu verbrennen: Rinde, Holz mit Lackbeschichtung, Paneele aus gepresstem Holz, Kohle, Kunststoff. In diesem Fall, entfällt die Garantie.

WICHTIG: die durchgehende und verlängerte Verbrennung von Holzsorten mit aromatischem Ölinhalt (z. B. Eukalyptus, Myrthe, usw.) wird die schnelle Beschädigung der Gussteilen des Geräts verursachen.

Die erklärte Nennleistung des Kaminofens in kW erhält man mit der Verbrennung einer korrekten Holzmenge, wobei der Brennraum nicht überladen werden darf. Die ideale Länge der Holzscheite wird durch den Holzträger vermittelt.

Die empfohlene Holzmenge ist in der Tabelle des Abschnittes 9 aufgeführt.

6.1.3 Kontrolle der Verbrennung

ECOPALEX ist mit dem System der doppelten

Verbrennung ausgestattet (siehe Seite 3)

DIE PRIMÄRE VERBRENNUNG:

erzeugt die Hauptflamme, die sich direkt am Holzscheit entwickelt; sie wird durch die Luftzufuhr in die Feuerstelle über die Schlitze in der unteren Frontblende unterstützt. Die Einstellung der Primärluft erfolgt je nach Modell des ECOPALEX anders:

• ECOPALEX 64 rechts und links offen (Abb. 6.1.3 A) diese Modelle haben in der Mitte der unteren

Frontblende einen Hebel; wird der Hebel nach links verstellt, wird weniger Primärluft zugeführt - wird er nach rechts verstellt, wird hingegen mehr Primärluft zugeführt. Bei gut brennendem Feuer kann der Hebel in der Mitte der Öffnung belassen werden, je nach Abzug des Rauchfangs und der Luftmenge, die gewünscht wird.

• ECOPALEX 64 frontal, 64 rund, 66, 70 (Abb. 6.1.3 B) diese Modelle haben links von der Aschenlade einen Knauf; wird der Knauf nach links verstellt, wird weniger Primärluft zugeführt - wird er nach rechts verstellt, wird hingegen mehr Primärluft zugeführt. Bei gut brennendem Feuer kann der Hebel in der Mitte der Öffnung belassen werden, je nach Abzug des Rauchfangs und der Luftmenge, die gewünscht wird.

• ECOPALEX 76 (Abb. 6.1.3 C) in diesem Modell wird die Flamme durch Ein- bzw. Ausschrauben des Knaufs an der Aschenlade eingestellt (Abb.6.1.3.1 A). Sobald das Feuer gut brennt, die Öffnung um 1 bis 1,5 Drehungen verkleinern, je nach Abzug des Rauchfangs und der Luftmenge, die gewünscht wird.

• ECOPALEX 78, 88, INSERT O 66, INSERTO 76 diese Modelle haben in der Mitte der unteren Frontblende einen Hebel ; wird der (Abb. 6.1.3.2 A); Hebel nach links verstellt, es wird weniger Primärluft zugeführt wird er nach rechts verstellt, wird hingegen mehr Primärluft zugeführt. Bei gut brennendem Feuer kann der Hebel in der Mitte der Öffnung belassen werden, je nach Abzug des Rauchfangs und der Luftmenge,

Alla prima accensione della giornata, o in presenza di legna umida, è consigliabile aprire completamente I’aria primaria per facilitarne I’accensione.

LA COMBUSTIONE SECONDARIA:

si ottiene immettendo nel focolare aria preriscaldata attraverso i fori posti sulla parte superiore della parete di fondo. Entrando nel focolare I’aria incendia il gas incombusto (monossido di carbonio) formatosi dalla combustione primaria, trasformandolo in anidride carbonica (CO formazione di un tappeto di fiamme in corrispondenza dei fori di entrata dell’aria secondaria. Una conseguenza della combustione secondaria è I’aumento del rendimento rispetto a caminetti dotati della sola aria primaria: ECOPALEX raggiunge rendimenti fino all’80%.

Gli ECOPALEX sono dotati di uno scuoti griglia azionabile con la manopola B (ad esclusione del Mod. 64, Inserto H66, H76 ed Ecopalex 78, 88).

Durante l'accensione e il funzionamento il cassetto cenere deve essere sempre chiuso. Per assestare la legna che sta bruciando ruotare la manopola B in senso orario.

6.1.5 Regolazione valvola fumi

Gli ECOPALEX della nuova serie (ad esclusione del Mod. 64 e dell'Inserto H 66 e Inserto H 76) sono dotati di una farfalla fumi che consente di regolare il tiraggio in funzione delle dimensioni della canna fumaria.

La regolazione della farfalla fumi deve essere

eseguita a caminetto freddo.

In presenza di canne fumarie di sezione piccola e con poca altezza, si può aumentare il tiraggio del caminetto a portina chiusa operando come segue:

1) Estrazione del deflettore fumi (Fig. 6.1.5.1)

Aprire la portina dell’ECOPALEX. Sollevare leggermente e tirare in avanti il deflettore fumi (1) in modo da poterlo sfilare dal supporto superiore (Part.A) e da quelli laterali posti sui fianchi. Inclinare il deflettore in senso diagonale ed estrarlo (Fig. 6.1.5.2).

2) Regolazione della farfalla fumi

Allentare il dado con una chiave fissa da 13, avvitare l’asta con un cacciavite (2 Fig. 6.1.5.3), bloccare nuovamente il dado. Rimettere in sede il deflettore fumi.

Once the fire is burning well, put the lever in the half open position, depending on the flue draught and on the quantity of air wanted.

When lighting the fire at the beginning of the day or if the firewood is damp, we suggest opening the primary air completely to make lighting easier.

SECONDARY COMBUSTION:

This is obtained by letting preheated air through the holes at the top of the back panel. As it enters the fireplace the air lights the unburned gasses (carbon monoxide) formed during primary combustion and transforms them into carbon monoxide (CO2). The effect is easy to see by the formation of a bed of flames around the holes where the secondary air is let in.

Another effect of secondary combustion is the increase in yield compared to chimneys with primary air only:

ECOPALEX reaches yields of over 80%.

6.1.4 Grille shaker (Fig. 6.1.3.1)

(except for Ecopalex series N)

The new series of ECOPALEX appliances is fitted with a grid shaker, operated with knob B (except for models 64, Inserto H66, H76 and Ecopalex 78, 88).

When lighting the fire and while it is burning, the ash box must always be closed. To settle the firewood that is burning, turn knob B clockwise.

6.1.5 Smoke regulator diaphragm

The new series of ECOPALEX (except for models 64, Inserto H66 and Inserto H76) features a smoke butterfly regulator diaphragm that is used to adjust draught based on flue dimensions.

The smoke butterfly regulator diaphragm must be

adjusted when the fireplace is cold.

If the flue has a small cross section and is not very high, you can increase fireplace draught with the door closed as follows:

1) Extracting the smoke diaphragm (Fig. 6.1.5.1)

Open the ECOPALEX door. Slightly lift the smoke diaphragm and pull it towards you (1) so you can pull it out from the top (Part . A) and side supports. Slant the diaphragm diagonally and pull it out (Fig. 6.1.5.2).

2) Adjusting the smoke butterfly diaphragm

Loosen the nut with a size 13 fixed spanner, screw down the rod with a screwdriver (2 Fig. 6.1.5.3), tighten the nut again. Put the smoke diaphragm back in place.

If it is not adjusted appropriately, recalibrate the butterfly diaphragm until combustion is good.

A flame that is too strong does not mean that combustion is good and must be corrected by adjusting the combustion air and the smoke diaphragm.

•ECOPALEX 64 frontal, 64 rund, 66, 70, 76 (Abb. 6.1.3 E) diese Modelle haben intermitte von der Aschenlade einen Hebel; wird der Hebel nach links verstellt, wird weniger Primärluft zugeführt - wird er nach rechts verstellt, wird hingegen mehr Primärluft zugeführt. Bei gut brennendem Feuer kann der Hebel in der Mitte der Öffnung belassen werden, je nach Abzug des Rauchfangs und der Luftmenge, die gewünscht wird.

DIE SEKUNDÄRE VERBRENNUNG:

erhält man durch Zufuhr von vorgeheizter Luft durch die auf dem oberen Teil des Unterbodens des Ofens befindlichen Öffnungen in die Feuerstelle. Die Luft entzündet durch ihren Eintritt in die Feuerstelle das noch unverbrannte Gas (Kohlenmonoxyd), das sich während der primären Verbrennung gebildet hat, und wandelt dieses in Kohlendioxyd (CO Vorgang ist an den Flammen, die sich um die Öffnungen der Sekundärluft bilden, gut sichtbar. Eine weitere Auswirkung der sekundären Verbrennung ist eine Leistungssteigerung gegenüber Kaminen, die nur über Primärluft verfügen: ECOPALEX erreicht bis zu 80% Heizleistung.

6.1.4 Rostrüttler (Abb. 6.1.3.1)

(ausser Ecopalex Reihe N)

Die ECOPALEX der neuen Serie (ausgenommen Mod.

64) sind mit einem Rostrüttler ausgestattet, der durch den Knauf B betätigt wird. (Mit Ausnahme von der Modelle 64, Inserto H66, H76 und Ecopalex 78, 88). Während des Zündens und des Betriebs muss die Aschenlade immer geschlossen sein. Um die brennenden Holzscheite gerade zu rütteln, den Knauf B im Uhrzeigersinn drehen.

6.1.5 Einstellung Rauchreglerventil

Die ECOPALEX der neuen Serie (ausgenommen Mod.

64) sind mit einem Rauchreglerventil ausgestattet, womit der Abzug je nach Abmessungen des Rauchfangs eingestellt werden kann.

Das Rauchreglerventil muss bei kaltem Kaminofen

eingestellt werden.

Bei recht kurzen Rauchfängen mit geringem Durchmesser kann der Abzug des Kaminofens bei geschlossener Tür wie folgt erhöht werden:

7 MANUTENZIONE E PULIZIA

7.1 PRECAUZIONI DI SICUREZZA

Prima di effettuare qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione adottare le seguenti precauzioni: A) Assicurarsi che tutte le parti del caminetto siano fredde. B) Accertarsi che le ceneri siano completamente spente. C) Utilizzare i dispositivi di protezione individuale previsti dalla direttiva 89/391/CEE. D) Operare sempre con attrezzature appropriate per la manutenzione.

7.2 PULIZIA DEL VETRO (FIG. 7.2)

Durante il funzionamento del caminetto è possibile favorire la pulizia del vetro ceramico attraverso la leva (D) di Fig. 7.2. Questa normalmente deve essere posizionata verso flusso chiuso. Se la leva viene spostata si apre un flusso d’aria che investe la superficie del vetro ceramico, favorendone la pulizia.

Per effettuare la pulizia completa del vetro è necessario attendere lo spegnimento ed il raffreddamento del caminetto ed effettuare la pulizia a freddo. Si effettua con un panno umido o con una palla di carta di giornale, inumidita e passata nella cenere, strofinando il vetro fino alla pulizia completa.

Talvolta tale precedura può non essere sufficiente: si può ricorrere allora all’utilizzo di appositi detergenti, avendo cura però di spruzzare il prodotto su un panno asciutto e non direttamente sul vetro del caminetto o sulle parti verniciate circostanti.

In condizioni normali il vetro tende ad annerirsi in fase di accensione e a schiarire durante il funzionamento.

Il vetro ceramico resiste benissimo alle alte temperature, ma è fragile, quindi NON URTARE.

7.3 PULIZIA DELLA CENERE

• Modelli con vetro solo FRONTALE

II cassetto porta cenere va svuotato a caminetto spento; vi si può accedere dall’esterno e il suo frontalino è visibile sul lato inferiore dell’apparecchiatura.

• Modelli con VETRO LATERALE DESTRO O SINISTRO

II cassetto porta cenere va svuotato a caminetto spento; si estrae dopo aver aperto la portina e sollevato la griglia.

• Inserto H66 H76

Il cassetto porta cenere va svuotato a caminetto spento; vi si accede aprendo la portina ed estraendo il cassetto nella parte inferiore dell'apparecchiatura.

• Modello 78, 88

II cassetto porta cenere va svuotato a caminetto spento; il frontalino è visibile sul lato inferiore. Vi si può accedere dopo aver aperto la porta dell’apparecchiatura. L'apertura si effettua dopo aver ruotato, in senso antiorario, la leva posta nel lato interno del cassetto.

È consigliabile svuotare la cenere regolarmente per garantire un ottimale afflusso di aria per la combustione.

7 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

7 INSTANDHALTUNG UND REINIGUNG

7.1 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Before carrying out any maintenance work, take the following precautions:

A) Ensure that all parts of the fireplace are completely cold.

B) Ensure that the ashes are completely out. C) Use individual safety gear as set forth by directive

89/391/EEC. D) Always use appropriate tools for maintenance.

7.2 CLEANING THE GLASS (FIG . 7.2)

While the fireplace is being used it is easier to clean the pyroceram with lever (D) of Fig. 7.2. This lever is normally positioned on flow closed. If it is moved, the flow of air is opened which blows against the pyroceram making it easier to clean.

If the deposits that form during combustion do not disappear with the above procedure, you will have to wait for the fire to go out and then clean when the fireplace is cold. To clean use a damp cloth or a ball of newspaper that must be moistened and dipped in the ash – rub the glass until it is completely clean.

At times, this procedure may not be enough. You can then use appropriate detergents; however, be sure you spray the product on a dry cloth and not directly on the glass of the fireplace or the surrounding painted parts.

Under normal conditions, the glass does tend to turn black when you light the fire but this disappears once the fire is burning.

Pyroceram resists high temperatures very well, but it is fragile, so DO NOT STRIKE IT .

7.3 GETTING RID OF THE ASHES

• Models with glass on the FRONT only

The ash box must be emptied when the fire is out; you can access it from the outside and its front panel can be seen at the bottom of the fireplace.

• Models with GLASS ON THE RIGHT OR LEFT SIDE

The ash box must be emptied when the fire is out; extract it after having opened the door and lifted the grille.

• INSERTO H 66 H 76

The ash box must be emptied when the fire is out; access it by opening the door and pulling it out from the bottom of the fireplace.

• Model 78, 88

The ash box must be emptied when the fire is out; the front can be seen at the bottom. Access it by opening the door of the fireplace. Open after having turned the lever on the inside of the box clockwise.

It is advisable to throw the ashes away regularly to guarantee an optimum flow of air for combustion.

7.1 VORBEUGENDE SICHERHEITSMASSNAHMEN

Vor jedem Wartungseingriff unbedingt folgende Sicherheitsmaßnahmen treffen:

A) Sicherstellen, dass alle Kaminofenteile kalt sind. B) Sicherstellen, dass die Asche komplett erloschen

ist. C) Die laut Richtlinie 89/391/EWG vorgesehenen

individuellen Schutzvorrichtungen anwenden. D) Für die Wartung immer geeignetes Werkzeug

verwenden.

7.2 REINIGUNG DER GLASSCHEIBE

Während des Betriebs des Kaminofens kann die Reinigung des Keramikglases über den Hebel (D) aus Abb. 7.2 unterstützt werden. Normalerweise muss dieser Hebel nach Luftstrom geschlossen stehen. Stellt man den Hebel, wird der Luftstrom zum Keramikglas hin geöffnet, wodurch sich das Glas sauberer hält.

Für eine komplette Reinigung des Glases muss abgewartet werden, bis der Kamin abschaltet und abgekühlt ist, damit die Glasscheibe bei ausgekühltem Kaminofen gereinigt werden kann.

Das Glas entweder mit einem feuchten Lappen oder mit feuchtem, in der Asche gewälztem Zeitungspapier säubern.

Dieses Vorgehen kann sich als ungenügend erweisen: In diesem Fall können entsprechende Reiniger verwendet werden. Dieser muss jedoch mit Sorgfalt auf einen trockenen Lappen und nicht direkt auf das Glas des Kaminofens oder auf die angrenzenden lackierten Teile gespritzt werden.

Unter normalen Bedingungen schwärzt sich das Glas während des Zündens und hellt dann während des Betriebs wieder auf.

Das Keramikglas widersteht ausgezeichnet hohen Temperaturen, ist aber zerbrechlich, daher SCHLÄGE VERMEIDEN.

7.3 REINIGUNG DER ASCHENLADE

• Modelle mit nur FRONTGLAS Die Aschenlade muss bei ausgekühltem Kaminofen

entleert werden; die Lade ist von außen zugänglich und ihre Frontblende ist im unteren Gerätebereich gut ersichtlich.

• Modelle mit SEITLICH RECHTEM ODER LINKEM GLAS Die Aschenlade muss bei ausgekühltem Kaminofen

entleert werden; die Tür öffnen, das obere Gitter anheben und die Aschenlade herausziehen.

• Inserto H66 und H76 Die Aschenlade muss bei ausgekühltem Kaminofen

entleert werden; die Tür öffnen und die Aschenlade aus dem unteren Geräteteil herausziehen.

• Modell 78, 88 Die Aschenlade muss bei ausgekühltem Kaminofen

entleert werden; die Vorderseite ist im unteren Teil sichtbar. Man erreicht sie, durch das Öffnen der Gerätetür. Sie öffnety sich durch Drehen des Hebels

7.4 PULIZIA DELLA CANNA FUMARIA

La pulizia della canna fumaria va effettuata almeno una volta all’anno prima del periodo di accensione del caminetto, e comunque ogni qualvolta si noti che all’interno della conduttura si sia formato uno strato di fuliggine e catramina, sostanza facilmente infiammabile.

Durante la pulizia consigliamo di togliere il deflettore fumi posto in corrispondenza dell’uscita fumi per favorire la caduta della caligine; il deflettore va riposizionato a pulizia ultimata.

Attenzione! La mancanza del deflettore provoca una forte depressione (effetto forgia) con una combustione troppo veloce ed irregolare consumo di legna.

7.5 SCARSO TIRAGGIO DEI FUMI

Se si verifica alle prime accensioni controllare che la canna fumaria non sia ostruita da calcinacci, da nidi di uccelli o altro nel comignolo. Inoltre il raccordo tra ECOPALEX e la canna fumaria deve essere eseguito secondo le istruzioni, senza strozzature e chiuso ermeticamente nelle giunzioni con la canna fumaria. Se questo inconveniente si verifica dopo un periodo di normale funzionamento è necessario verificare e pulire la canna fumaria.

8 INFORMAZIONI PER LA DEMOLIZIONE

E LO SMALTIMENTO

La demolizione e lo smaltimento dell’apparecchio sono ad esclusivo carico e responsabilità del proprietario.

Smantellamento e smaltimento possono essere affidati anche a terzi, purchè si ricorra sempre a ditte autorizzate al recupero ed all'eliminazione dei materiali in questione.

Attenersi sempre e comunque alle normative in vigore nel paese dove si opera per lo smaltimento dei materiali ed eventualmente per la denuncia di smaltimento.

Tutte le operazioni di smontaggio per la demolizione devono avvenire ad apparecchio fermo.

L'abbandono dell’apparecchio in aree accessibili costituisce un grave pericolo per persone ed animali.

La responsabilità per eventuali danni a persone ed animali ricade sempre sul proprietario.

All’atto della demolizione la marcatura CE, il presente manuale e gli altri documenti relativi a questo apparecchio dovranno essere distrutti.

7.4 CLEANING THE FLUE

UNI 10683 Standard. The flue pipe must be cleaned at least once a year

prior to the period of use of the fireplace, or any time you notice that tar and soot have accumulated in the pipe, which are highly flammable.

At any rate, clean at least once a year. When cleaning we suggest removing the smoke diaphragm from the smoke outlet to enable the soot to fall, to be replaced once cleaned.

Warning! If the diaphragm is not put back there would be a strong depression (forge effect)and the wood would burn too quickly and irregularly.

7.5 POOR SMOKE DRAUGHT

If this occurs the first times you light the fireplace, check that the flue is not clogged with masonry debris, birds’ nests or anything else in the chimney top. Furthermore, the ECOPALEX and flue should be connected according to the instructions, without any chokes and with the flue fittings hermetically sealed. If this problem occurs after a period of normal operation check and clean the flue.

7.4 REINIGUNG DES RAUCHFANGS

Norm UNI 10683 Der Rauchfang muss mindestens ein Mal jährlich vor

dem Zeitraum, in dem der Kamin eingeschaltet wird, gereinigt werden sowie immer dann, wenn sich im Rohr eine Schicht Ruß und Teer abgesetzt hat, wovon letztere äußerst leicht entflammbar ist.

Es wird empfohlen, die Reinigung mindestens einmal pro Jahr durchzuführen. Während der Reinigung sollten das Rauchleiterblech von seinem Platz, in der Nähe des Rauchausgangs entfernt werden, damit der Russ herausfallen kann. Das Rauchleiterblech muss nach der Reinigung wieder an seinem Platz angeordnet werden.

Achtung! Das Fehlen des Rauchleiterblechs verursacht einen starken Druckabfall (Blasebalgeffekt) mit einer zu schnellen und unregelmäßigen Verbrennung des Holzes.

Demolition and disposal of the fireplace is the sole responsibility of the owner. Dismantling and disposal may be entrusted to a third party provided we are talking about a company authorised to salvage and eliminate said materials.

In all cases you must abide by the laws in force in the country of installation as regards the disposal of materials and, if necessary, the report of disposal.

Sollte sich dies bei den ersten Zündungen ereignen, muss kontrolliert werden, dass der Rauchfang nicht mit Mörtel, Vogelnestern oder ähnlichem im Schornstein verstopft ist. Außerdem muss die Verbindung zwischen dem ECOPALEX und dem Rauchabzug unter Beachtung der Anweisungen ohne Verengungen durchgeführt werden und an den Verbindungsstellen hermetisch verschlossen sein. Sollte diese Gegebenheit nach einer normalen Betriebszeit auftreten, muss der Rauchfang kontrolliert und gereinigt werden.

Immer die einschlägigen Normen des jeweiligen Lands für die Entsorgung und eventuelle Entsorgungsmeldung einhalten.

Das Zerlegen des Produkts für seine Entsorgung darf ausschließlich bei stillstehendem Gerät erfolgen.
