Installation (Factory Pre-installed)
Step 1: Turn the system power OFF.
Step 2: Connect the AHP5 as shown below, polarity not important.
Step 3: Turn the power On.
Installation (Factory NOT Pre-Installed)
Step 1: Turn the system OFF.
Step 2: Install the heater pad behind the LCD screen. Provide 1/4” clearance from the back of the LCD.
Warning: Do not install the heater pad on top of the LCD without a clearance, It may damage the LCD.
Step 3: Install duct tape on the LCD’s ribbon cable.
Step 4: Connect the AHP5 as shown below, polarity not important. You may use the same power transfomer as the
AeGIS Telephone Entry System.
Step 5: Turn the power On.
CHECK
THE FOLLOWING AFTER TURNING ON THE HEATER PAD
a. INPUT VOLTAGE MUST BE 12.5VAC-13.5VAC UNDER LOAD IF 12VAC 40VA TRANSFORMER IS
USED.
b. INPUT VOLTAGE MUST BE 13.6VDC-14.5VDC UNDER LOAD IF 12VDC 3.0A TRANSFORMER IS
USED.
Separate power must be used if the voltage is low.
