SURROUNDCAN BE CONNECTED USING EITHER LINE LEVEL OR SPEAKER LEVEL HOOKUPS, WE RECOMMEND USING THE SPEAKERLEVEL INPUTS.
NOTE: USE ONLYONE OF THESE OPTIONS. NEVER COMBINEHOOKUP OPTIONS.
OPTION #1 Speaker Level Connections
• Connect the transmitter’s left and right Surround and Surround Back inputs directly to the corresponding left and right Surround and Surround Back outputs on your receiver/processor
5.1 AND 7.1 CHANNEL CONNECTION OPTIONS
Depending on your home theater receiver/processor, you will either be using a 5.1 or 7.1 channel hookup. If you have a 5.1 receiver, connect the left and right Surround channels to your F/X WirelessSurround. If you are using a 7.1 channel receiver connect both the left and right Surround Back, and the left and right Surroundchannels.
SETTING UP YOUR F/X WIRELESS SURROUND
F/X Wireless Surround Position setting:
Your F/X Wireless Surround can provide a credible multi-channel surround experience from a range of placement locations within the media space but should optimally be placed behind the seating area. Choose FLOOR, TABLE (ear height of +/- 2 feet) or SHELF (2 feet or more above ear height) in accordance with the vertical placement of the loudspeakercabinet.
Due to the special nature of its complex radiation pattern, the top surface of the loudspeaker cabinet should be unobstructed and facing towards the ceiling. The long axis of the cabinet should be parallel to the long dimension of your home theater’s video screen and centered behind the listening area

Follow The Instructions Below To Set Up Your F/X Wireless Surround Manually.
Gain:
For optimal performance, channel level settings on Dolby Digital receivers/surround-sound processors for the (lateral) Surround and Surround Back channels should match each other.
1. SurroundChannel gain should be set so that the sound level in the seating area matches or slightly exceedsthe sound levels of the front channels.
• Adjust your receiver’s speaker configurations as follows:
Surrounds and SurroundBack = SMALL
OPTION #2 Line Level Connections
• Using the supplied RCA cables, connect the left and right Surround and Surround Back outputs on your receiver to the corresponding left and right Surround and SurroundBack inputs on the transmitter.
• Adjust your receiver’s speaker configurations as follows:
Surrounds and Surroundback = SMALL
TELEVISION
F/X WIRELESS SURROUND
2. SurroundBack should be set to match the gain setting so determined for the SurroundChannels.
Example:If +3dB is the appropriate
channel level to achieve SurroundChannel sound levels that match the Front channels, then Surround Back channel level should also be set to +3dB.

Distance To Listener:
“Distance” settings govern channel delay for optimal performance from Dolby Digital 5.1 and
7.1 sources. For the F/X WirelessSurround, you need to determine the actual distance from the listening area to the loudspeaker cabinet and approximate room dimensions.
For symmetrical rooms, wherebythe distance between the loudspeaker cabinet and major reflecting surfaces (particularly side walls) are approximately equal, the distance setting for the Surroundchannels may be computedas follows:
• Distance = actual distance of speaker behind the listening area and approximate width of the listening area
• The distance setting for Surround Back channelsshould simply match the actual distance of the loudspeaker from the listening area.

A Note Regarding Wireless Performance:
Like all wireless devices, your F/X Wireless Surround may be susceptible to RF interference from such sources as microwave ovens, WiFi computer systems, video game systems, cordless telephones, blue tooth systems, baby monitors and other devices. In particular, any devices operating in the
2.4GHz band may cause intermittent wireless connections between the F/X Wireless Surround. It is also possible that your F/X Wireless Surround may affect other wireless systems. For the most part, you can avoid wireless performance problems by physically separating these devices from your F/X Wireless Surround . Maintaining a distance of several feet or more between your F/X Wireless Surround speaker and any wireless device should prevent any mutual interference effects. If you do notice any subwoofer signal dropouts take care to identify the root cause (most commonly having other wireless devices too close) and resolve accordingly. Any interference effects from a microwave oven will cease once the oven stops operating and may be resolved on a long-term basis by increasing the physical distance between your F/X Wireless Surround and the microwave oven.
