Using these components, Oxmoor offers two-room, three-room, and four-room combining systems with volume control.
As a matrixing and level control ensemble, the combining system is positioned between the line­level outputs of the individual zone mixers and the inputs of their power amplifier.
RCS ROOM COMBINING SYSTEM
At the heart of the system is the RCM-4 Room Combining Mod­ule. The RCM-4 sends out several types of control messages: it de­livers both zone-combining and source-selection commands to an RMX-44 Mixing Matrix. The block drawing illustrates an optional Control Panel which serves as the module's user interface.
When combining zones, the RMX­44 mixes all signal sources (mixer outputs) within the combined zones. Also, all RC-16 Remote Controls within the combined zones will be linked together and forced to a common preset level. This allows all RC-16s in each com­bined zone to serve as master level controls over all speakers in the combined system.

zones are combined. One configu­ration allows the RMX-44 to mix all sources within the combined zones. Because all sources within the combined zones are active, microphones, etc. may be plugged in wherever desired within the combined zones.
The second configuration mutes the sources (using the Mixer Mute Switch) of the combined zones, allowing the user to select a source (mixer) or a combination of sources

to be used within combined zones. The user can select where the head table will be – where the entertainment microphones will plug in – without any chance of hum, buzz, or ambient noise from unused sources.
RCS FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS
Compatible with most existing mixers and amplifiers.
Up to 4 independent "local" sound systems, such as
adjacent banquet or meeting rooms, may be treated as "zones" and instantly combined to create one larger system.
A mix of 2, 3, or 4 zones may be combined without sacrificing the autonomy of those excluded.
The RCS may be programmed to mix all sources (mixer outputs) within the combined zones, allowing source microphones, etc., to be plugged in anywhere desired.
The RCS may be programmed to mute all sources (mixer outputs) within combined zones, allowing user to selectively activate sources within the combined zones.
The RCS offers a Wake-Up level control. On power up all remote volume controls are reset to a predeter­mined level.
Remote audio level control is available for each inde­pendent zone using RC-16s.
Each RC-16 Remote Control has a unique LED array which provides a Virtual Pointer to show system level in 3 dB steps.
The standard system configuration allows all RC-16 Remote Controls to be linked together within com­bined zones. All RC-16s are in sync and will track “up” or “down” adjustments made at any of the RC­16s within the combined system.
