HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE - DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE SERVICING
GENERAL
This accessory electric heater is designed to provide
pow er directly to the unit from the accessory heater' s
pow er supply eliminating the need for additional
circuits. The pow er and control w iring use a single
polariz ed plug to connect the heater and the unit.
See the Heater Data tab le on page 3 for the numb er
of circuits req uired.
1. Check the unit heater lab el to confirm that the
selected Heater is approved for use w ith this unit
in the installed confiuration.
2. Check the components received for damage. R eport
any defects or shortages to the transportation
company immediately.
3 . Be sure the pow er supply agrees w ith the listing
show n on heater nameplate.

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
• Avoid breathing fiberglass dust
Use a NIOSH approved dust/mist respirator
Avoid contact with the skin or eyes. Wear long-sleeved, loose fitting clothing, gloves, and eye protection.
Wash clothes separately from other clothing, rinse
washer thoroughly.
Operations, such as sawing, blowing, tear-out, and spraying may generate fiber concentrations requiring
additional respiratory protection. Use the appropriate NIOSH approved respirator in these situations.
FIRST AID MEASURES
EYE CONTACT: FLUSH EYES WITH WATER TO RE-
MOVE DUST. IF SYMPTOMS PERSIST, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION.
SKIN CONTACT: WASH AFFECTED AREA GENTLY
WITH SOAP AND WARM WATER AF­TER HANDLING.

HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE!
Disconnect all electrical pow er, including remote disconnects
b efore installing or servicing. Follow proper lock out/ tagout
procedures to ensure the pow er can not b e inadvertently
energize d. Failure to disconnect pow er b efore servicing could
result in death or serious inj ury.

INSTALLATION
1. R emove the upper access panel from the fan coil unit.
3 . I nstall the electronic-control into the space on the left
hand side and attach w ith screw s provided in the k it.
2. R emove the cover plate from the fan coil opening and save the screw s for the nex t step. I nstall the heater k it and secure the element plate w ith the 2 screw s removed from the cover plate plus a 3 rd screw provided w ith the k it.

4. Connect the electric heaters to the air handler using the Heater K it Plug. Connect high voltage to the circuit b reak er lugs and ground lug per the w iring schematic and air handler installation guide.
